The Bromeliad Trilogy by Terry Pratchett is one of my favourite and first experiences of the writing of Sir Pterry (GNU).
If you have enjoyed or are enjoying the scale and interaction between small and big, human and small humanity that Burrow's End gives (and tbf also can deal with the general Watership Down vibes) I can't advise this enough.
The books are wonderful, and the audiobooks just as satisfying, read by the legend Nigel Planer, and even/especially what I started on; the Abridged cassettes read by the legend that is Tony Robinson, aka Baldrick from Blackadder.
Living rent free in my mind for the last ~2 weeks: the very specific way that Nigel Planer says "Gytha Ogg" while doing his Granny Weatherwax voice in the Discworld audiobooks.
I really enjoyed watching "The Young Ones" today for the first time! Especially since it really gleefully tickled my "Monty Python fan" part of my brain in TYO series 2 since there's the episode "Nasty" (probably my favourite TYO episode) with Terry Jones as the drunk priest (who was absolutely great in!!) and also the "Cheese Shop" sketch reference in the episode "Time" (which was actually my favourite gag that i had to rewind again and again cuz it's very funny joke that I enjoyed 😁)
"Oil" has to be one of my favorite episodes I mean we get Mike serving cunt, Neil and Rick somewhat working together in a "older sibling convinces younger sibling to rebel against their parents" sorta way, and Vyvyan being so silly. "EL PRESIDENTE!!!" He has no idea what's going on but he's happy to be there i love him
