Yule Special: Night Two Pt. 1
The weather had worsened as the circus truck carried out throughout the whiteout conditions, the red lights standing out like a horrifying beckon down the steep roads. Envy sat still for a bit, their stomach turning a bit at the stale popcorn smell as Dolly did the looking out of the window for any sign of the little deplorable family members’ car. Greed was tapping the driving wheel, head banging a little bit to some heavy metal band on the radio before being motioned to stop the truck. Sure enough, there was the car in a deep ditch, the engine still running with noticeable movement inside. The circus truck of demonic looking proportions came to a slow halt before entering parking mode, Envy jumping out of the circus van immediately to escape the stale popcorn smell. The fresh air was very well welcomed by Envy as they rushed to the car and ripping the door clean off the car to get everything over with. Sure enough, as if the fates mocked Envy’s efforts, they were greeted by the signature scent of stale cookies that all families with small children seem to have. Envy’s nose wrinkled in disgust at that all too nauseous fragrance, but relaxed when they found Carmilla, safe, sound, and covered in marker doodles to match the car. Envy picked up the feral child, holding back all the urges of wanting to trash the car further after noticing the dumbasses left their kid alone in a running car, and headed back to the circus truck.
“Great, the gremlin is all decked out for the Yule.” Greed commented as he noticed the little beast Envy was carrying back to the van. “Well she wouldn’t have been that way if Carmilla’s parents hadn't left her alone in a running car to her own devices.” Envy commented as they gently tossed the sticky mess called Carmilla into the van before climbing in after.
“They did what!? Out in this weather to boot!” Dolly was flabbergasted as she checked Carmilla over for any injuries.
“I know, right? Anyways, we got Carmilla, let’s head back for the household.” Envy was ready to get back into the household to escape the lingering staleness of the truck as they flop back to relax. “Damn it looks like I’m going to have to play as your conscious this time around. Shouldn’t we locate Thomas and that one woman whose name is escaping me right now? I mean they don’t deserve to freeze to death.” Greed said as he turned around to look at Envy who had absolutely no interest in the matter.
“They let Carmilla smash Talia’s vase during a tantrum.” Dolly explained as she relaxed upon seeing there were no visible injuries on Carmilla who was starting to make raptor sounds at being handled like that. “...Okay nevermind then and you avoid having to deal with the courts trying to claim custody. I know for sure the judge would’ve had a field day with you possibly taking Carmilla out to commit arson.” Greed went back to pay attention to the roads to head back up to the Mancer Household.
“Arson is absolutely an age appropriate activity to teach small kids!” Envy argued, looking offended that arson isn’t considered an appropriate after preschool activity.
“Shouldn’t we be worried about leaving them to Hohenheim? That’ll be more bodies to the death toll he’s been racking up.” Greed pointed out as he slowed the truck a bit due to how heavy the snow was becoming. “True, I do want that bastard to suffer the cold without the luxury of having flesh on his disgusting bones.” Envy shrugged as they had no desire to help relieve the deplorable parent by freeing him from the mortal coil. “I wanna knock over the Skeleton again! AGAIN!” Carmilla started screeching again, clearly the child had some seriously strong pipes and lungs.
“Love the spirit there Carmilla, but no, the nasty skeleton needs to suffer more before being put down.” Envy calmly said as they checked out the window to calm their stomach down from the odor. “What happened to trying to humanely euthanize your sperm donor?” Dolly asked, concerned that there was no longer an effort to euthanize the skeletal abomination with a thing for skin stealing.
“When Hohenheim acted rudely to you last time, I figured he needed to stew a bit in misery.” Envy glanced a bit at Dolly before looking out the window again, getting super green than before.
“Ewww stop being gross, I want violence!” Carmilla hissed, her bloodthirsty nature bringing pride to her family lineage. “Well Envy, to be fair, Carmilla definitely knows what she wants, like me!” Greed grinned that equally sharp toothed smirk as Envy nearly vomited from that line.
“Shut up Greed! Clearly Carmilla takes after me with her fantastic need for Violence….keep driving Greed and go faster..” Envy placed their full focus on Carmilla after witnessing something awful outside. “Envy?” Dolly looked confused at Envy at the sudden change in demeanor before taking a good look outside and had to hold back a gasp. “Just, keep driving, Carmilla, how about you focus on me and tell me your plans of violence?” Envy asked, clearly learning that a distraction is needed for kiddo to prevent a second Envy from being made. “FUCK!” Greed cursed upon seeing the carnage outside of the storm, nearly ready to stop the truck before Envy’s reptilian hiss made him think twice. “I SAID KEEP DRIVING!” Envy growled out as they kept Carmilla from attempting to look out the truck’s window. Greed grimaced as he kept driving by, the red standing out on the snow that wasn’t from the headlights. Displayed on the grounds were bloodied bones and scraps of fabrics left in disarray, Hohenheim had clearly claimed his next set of skins to wear to stay warm. Envy, being Envy, even after all that time, had a thing about sharing their hatred for Hohenheim with others. That hatred was theirs alone and Envy certainly wasn’t going to share that with Carmilla, keeping her carefully unaware of the grotesquery outside. Dolly, in the meantime, was really hoping that it wasn't Thomas and his wife that she saw just now. All Carmilla wanted at this time was to kick and bite towards freedom as Greed drove away from the scene, going towards the household. Outside, Freddy stood as he waved his arms towards the hellish circus truck arriving before it came to a full stop. Unfortunately for Freddy, Envy brought out the rabid and deranged child, screeching things no child should’ve known in their vocabulary so soon. Dolly gave Freddy a worried look as he did in fact come outside like that to wave down the vehicle. Greed couldn’t care much less now that his journey was done and he can indulge in baked goods inside with spiked hot chocolate, exiting the truck after turning it off. “Freddy, did you manage to get through to Thomas?” Dolly asked as she went up to Freddy who looked very much ready to skin a person himself. “No…just his wife..his fucking wife left him out in the wilderness after getting spooked by something.” Freddy said, pissed that not only did his nephew and his wife leave their child alone, the wife basically sacrificed her hubby to the elements as well. “....I’m taking full custody of Carmilla.” Envy announced suddenly as they got Carmilla into the household, much to Freddy’s distress. “Envy are you fucking deranged!? You’d be the worst parent imaginable to an already horrific child!” Greed yelled out upon hearing that, Freddy relieved that he wasn’t the only one concerned with that proclamation. “Oh please, she’s better off being parented by me than a pair of idiots that leave their child unattended in a running vehicle!” Envy blew off Greed as they made their way to the household.
“Envy, let’s be honest here, if we were to fight for custody, we would be hoping to whatever forces out there that Lust takes the mutant in. Lust has an incredibly successful career and does have child psychology under her belt amongst other things that would be beneficial for Carmilla’s development.” Freddy pointed out, hoping like hell that Envy taking in the little Beelzebub doesn’t happen.

warning: graphic (?) descriptions of murder
Mafia’s POV:
The Mafia sat around in silence, unsure of how to start speaking. Their murder attempt last night had failed.
“So.” one of the Mafia members started. “Ollie isn’t dead.” “Yeah.. I tried to kill them, but they had ‘immunity’ or something like that.” “Wait! Didn’t Ollie say they were transported with Dawn last night?” “You’re right! So Dawn must be immune.” the Mafioso said, grabbing a pen & paper. They were about to write something down. “Hold on a minute now. Didn’t you notice Ollie’s behavior today?” “What do you mean?” “They lied about being jailed, they had Mortimer’s will, hell, they were SMILING when they got voted up! It’s like they WANT to get killed!” “My god, you’re right.” the Mafioso mumbled, scribbling something onto the piece of paper. “Now who do we kill?” “How about the person at house #4? Forgot their name.” “Yea, that seems good.” the Mafioso nodded, turning toward the person sitting to their right. “So, uh.. you. You’re the Janitor, right?” “Yea.” “What’s a Janitor do again?”
The Janitor thought about it for a minute. “Clean people’s bodies, I think. Make them unrecognizable. That’s what the note said, anyway.” “Great. Come with me.” the Mafioso nodded. They looked at the other Mafia member. “& you are?” “The Consort. Note said I can distract people & keep them from doing their ‘nightly ability’.” “Great. You, uh, go distract the person living at house #5.” “You got it!”
Transporter’s POV:
The Transporter opened up the door to house #4. The person they planned on transporting, Marina, was fast asleep on the couch. They quietly snuck into the house & picked her up. They brought her out to the cart outside & carefully placed her down.
Then, the Transporter took Marina back to their own house. They were going to transport Marina with themself.
They arrived at their house, #13. They opened the door & got Marina out of the cart. Then, ever so carefully, they set her down on their couch. The couches looked practically the same, so the Transporter was sure Marina wouldn’t notice a thing.
Now, thoroughly exhausted, the Transporter went on their way back to Marina’s house, where they would spend the night. They arrived back at house #4 & started opening the door, but a gunshot had distracted them.
They turned around & saw 2 people there. One with a gun, the other with a spray can. “Shit, I missed!” the one with the gun said, & indeed they had missed. Their bullet had gone through the wall instead of through the Transporter.
“Hey! What do you two think you’re-”
Before they could finish their sentence, a bullet hit their abdomen. They fell to the ground, clutching the wound & trying to make sure blood didn’t spill out. It was no use, though. The person with the gun held it up to the Transporter’s head.
“Any final words?” “I... I-” the Transporter struggled to get a single word out, but collapsed before they could say anything. The Mafioso shot them in the head anyway, just for good measure.
“Alright. My job here is done. Do whatever it is you can do, my Janitor friend.” “Got it!”
Witch’s POV:
The Witch awoke in a house similar to their own, but they knew it wasn’t theirs. They lay their head down for a minute, & they get transported? Sighing, the Witch got up from the couch & reached inside their pocket. They pulled out a small booklet of spells, which they had received with their note.
They might as well do something tonight. Try out this spell book, perhaps? The Witch flipped to a random page. “Let’s try this one!” They grinned to themself, exiting the house.
They didn’t want to stray too far from the house they had been transported to, so they went for the neighbor at house #12. The Witch approached the house & knocked on the door.
After a couple of seconds, there was an answer. “Hello?” the person groaned, rubbing their eyes.
The Witch said nothing. Instead, they lifted their hands up & started reciting something from the book. A mind control spell, which will make anyone do anything you request for an hour.
After the spell was recited, the person’s eyes turned a purple color, indicating that it had worked. The Witch wasn’t sure what to do at this point.
“Uh.. ok, now use your night ability on yourself, I guess.” the Witch commanded. “Understood.” the controlled target nodded, taking out their gun & shooting themself in the neck.
Their body fell to the floor as the Witch looked at it with disappointment. “Oh.”
Ollie’s POV:
Ollie sat in their bed, squeezing one of their fidget toys over & over again. They were mad, frustrated, absolutely furious about the day before. A Jester’s goal is to get publicly executed, & they were about to get that! But one person prevented that from happening:
Luca.
They needed to get revenge on Luca. But what could Ollie do?
Suddenly, it came to them. They whipped out a blank sheet of paper & a pencil, & started writing something down.
“This’ll fool them! This’ll fool them all!! & then I’ll get my win! AHAHAHAHA!!” they laughed.
Norma’s POV:
Norma quietly walked up to Ollie’s house. She thought their behavior yesterday was suspicious, & as the Investigator, she thought it to be a good idea to investigate them.
She had noticed that from the windows, all of the lights in the house were off, except for one. Norma tip-toed toward the window with the light on. She crouched down & looked inside.
Ollie was sitting on their bed, scribbling something down on a piece of paper. Norma grabbed her magnifying glass & used it to look closer at what they were writing.
Ollie the Sheriff N1 - 2 (inno/gf) (transed) N2 - 10 (sus!)
It looked like a last will. There was no way Ollie was a Sheriff, though. A Sheriff wouldn’t pull the stunt that Ollie had yesterday. On the bedside table, Norma spotted Ollie’s note, so she turned her magnifying glass to look at that. She had no idea how it worked, but all of the contents on Ollie’s note were invisible to Norma. The only thing she could see - & even then, only with the magnifying glass - were the words “Framer, Jester, Vampire”.
Norma assumed these were the roles Ollie could be, & none of them sounded like they could be a town role. She could hear Ollie maniacally laughing in their room as she wrote something down in her own will:
Night Two: Ollie (Framer, Jester, or Vampire)
Arsonist’s POV:
The Arsonist stood upon a house. They couldn’t see what house it was, but it didn't matter. What did matter is that soon it was about to get doused in gasoline. They flicked the gas can open, &-
“Hey, you.”
They turned around. Someone was standing behind them, obviously wanting their attention. They hid their gas can behind their back.
“OH! Uh, hey..!” “You live in house #5, right?” “Yea?” “Well, how about we head on over to my house &, uh, do stuff?” “What kind of stuff are you talkin’?” “Uh.. well, what would you like to do?”
The Arsonist thought about it for a minute. “Uh, we could sit there & talk about our feelings?” “Yea, sure. Let’s go do that.”
A couple hours had passed & the Arsonist was now exiting the mystery person’s house. They had talked about their lives before they were trapped here, & how they felt about the game. Now, the other person was asleep in their bed, & the Arsonist is just now realizing they did not get to douse that house. “Guess this night was a waste.” they mumbled to themself.
But wait! They had just remembered something in the note they received!
“As an Arsonist, you can douse anyone who visits you at night.”
By technical means, this mystery person very much did visit the Arsonist! That means they could still douse someone! They grinned, taking out their gas can & getting to work.
Mayor’s POV:
The Mayor sat in their living room, waiting. They had received a letter after yesterday’s trial had finished.
Dear Mayor Boyer,
We formally request that you wake up earlier than you normally would so my lackeys can have an important meeting with you. It’s important that we do it during the night. The townsfolk would find it suspicious that you would be gone during the day. We will be arriving around 4:37 AM in the morning. Do not be asleep.
Sincerely,
That was the note they had received. They could only guess that the person who trapped them & everyone else here had written it, but their name was scratched out, so it was impossible to tell for sure.
A knock-knock at the door alerted them. They got up & answered it. A person in a hooded cloak stood in front of them. The cloak they were wearing was yellow, & the hood was up, covering their face.
“Uh, hello?” the Mayor waved. “Greetings! Nice to finally meet the Mayor of this place! You can just call me S for now.” they said, stepping inside the house.
The Mayor shut the door as S sat down on their couch. “Just to double-check, you are the Mayor, yes? No Vampires in town?” “I’m pretty sure I’m the Mayor, yea.” “Alright, perfect, since this meeting is specifically about you being the Mayor. We’ve noticed you haven’t revealed yet. Why is that?”
The Mayor thought back to the note they had received on their first day here.
“If you reveal yourself as the Mayor to the town, your vote will count as three.”
There was definitely an advantage to revealing. The Mayor didn’t know why they hadn’t done it yet either.
“I’ve.. just been waiting for the right time to reveal, I guess.” “Waiting too long to reveal could lead to your death without you ever revealing at all! What a shame. That’s why the boss specifically requested that you must reveal tomorrow.” “Oh. Uh, alright. I’ll be sure to do that.” “Perfect! Farewell, Mayor.”
With that, S left the house, leaving the Mayor alone. They yawned, sitting back down on the couch. What would their sister have done in a situation like this?
Inaction, the Mayor thought, would probably lead to death. So tomorrow, they were going to reveal. & then everyone would know who they were.

man I wish people understood how much it sucks ass to be neurodivergent and trying to find the middle ground where people like/tolerate you. like, I'm either "boring" (trying to wait my turn in conversations, holding space for other people, taking a back seat to let others get some spotlight) or "too much" (too loud/talking too much, getting excited to share, trying to participate in group conversations/activities). No one really talks about how much of being neurodivergent is just sort of trying to make yourself palatable.
I feel like so much of my life has been spent trying to find this effortless sort of middle ground everyone else seems to automatically already know, and I'm always swinging too far one way or the other. I'm lucky to have neurodivergent friends who grok me, but goddamn I wish that I could just like, exist without the constant background script in my brain that's like "you're being too loud. You're not talking enough. you're being self-centered. you're being boring. you're wrong, you're wrong, you're wrong." I feel like I'm back in high school trying to make friends but stuck as the eternal "weird kid"
it's just... lonely and sucks bad.

don't give up on me yet - good ending
in my head, greg went to go find DJMM and tried to reboot the big guy to help him clear a path while he tracks down where cassie is underground (i turned "cassie never finding the big guy in the dlc" a set up in my head) while Vanessa tried activating the security nodes to get mxes back online again
I wanted freddy's claims that DJMM "is a friend" to pay off somewhere
oh and also freddy's head stays with Vanessa, but she connected him online to have access to the maps so he can help guide greg and keep in contact through the fazwatch
