my first non mr ask to you but uuuuuh I can't find a concise definition for what vtubing is and I feel incredibly ancient and terrified to ask anyone else 😂

oh yea! no worries!

as far as i know it, vtubing is just playing games/drawing/watching videos, but instead of a camera showing you like a let's play, it's a little animated character!

a lot of people use 3d models, but ive seen some people use 2d ones too, although i have no idea how they do it!

they have a camera set up and a program that tracks their face and head (or body for even more advanced ones!) and the program translates the movements onto the model. think of it like one of those neon green tracking suits with the balls they use for movies!

everyone's model is pretty unique, as most people make them themselves, or commission an artist to make one for them. some get pretty detailed and look awesome!

tbh I don't think it's copping out!! sometimes there isn't conflict from being trans and honestly i can only take so much content that had that (i say, editing my novel where that's like. a whole plotline yikes) but!!! ofc i want to catch up, gonna be honest if this was a book series i would be incredibly feral for it, it's one of the best stories ive read in years!! like not even just on simblr but out of fic/fiction/ect ect ｡◕‿◕｡

it's been so long since ive read your story but im on vacation in nc right now and catching up on the story has been sooooo nice and idhehshdhus i just wanna say that the way you're handling stevie dating as a trans person who has grown up w the people she's currently going to school with is really nice ;-: trying to date when i was in hs was a literal nightmare and im glad w everything she has going on that isn't one

omg i'm honored you wanted to catch up on my story 🥺🥺 and i'm so happy you like the way i'm writing stevie's relationships!! i sometimes worry that i'm copping out when i don't show ALL the aspects of whatever i'm writing, but my biggest goal was to write a character whose conflicts never stem from being trans. it made me sad that most of the trans characters i could remember from tv shows and stuff were only there to 1. have transphobia happen to them, or 2. be a teachable moment for cis viewers. or both. so i wanted to do something different! i'm really sorry you've had bad experiences; high school is hellish enough already without people being dicks about your identity :( i know it's just a small comfort, but i promise you won't have to read any of that type of bullshit in this story fjkjsd 💖

yeah i actually wanted to leave that up to interpretation! i have my own ideas of course, but i’ll probably never explicitly show you what happened after asa left. did asa’s body stay? (ie. did he just fall into a coma? did he die?), did that universe exist on another plane of existence, therefore could asa be in two places at once even still? what happens in 30-ish years, when the real asa would be born? would some strange butterfly effect prevent him from being born in that universe?

you can really spiral down the rabbit hole if you want to fjkjsd that’s why i’m leaving most of it up for interpretation!! 💗
