THE ROOM IS QUIET, THE SOFT GLOW of the moon flooded through the window, casting shadows across the floor. You sit, hands trembling, the weight of the world pressing down on your shoulders. Anxiety runs through you as you felt tears running down your face. But then, Jungwon steps into the room.

"Hey," he says softly, his voice a soothing melody, "I'm here."

You manage a small smile, grateful for his presence. He approaches, his eyes filled with concern as he takes your shaking hands in his own, sitting in front of you in bed.

"You're shaking," he observes, his voice a gentle murmur.

You nod, unable to talk about the emotions swirling within you. But Jungwon understands without the need for words. Leaning in, he presses a soft kiss to your forehead.

"It's okay," he whispers against your skin, his breath warm against your cheek. "I've got you."You lean into his touch, finding comfort in his embrace.

"It's just... everything," you admit, your voice barely a whisper.

Jungwon nods in understanding, his fingers tracing soothing circles on the back of your hand. "I know," he murmurs, his voice a comforting presence. "But remember, I'm always here for you." With a tender smile, Jungwon leans in once more, his lips brushing against yours leading to more gentle kisses. Each touch is a reminder of his love.

And in that moment, you feel the warmth of his lips against yours. For with Jungwon holding your hands and pressing soft kisses to your trembling lips, you find not only comfort but also the strength.

The ice creams melted away while you both contisouly licked and slurped them. Looking at riki, he seemed to love ice cream. But what you didn't know was that he loved eating ice cream with you.

You quickly looked away from him when you noticed he was going to turn to your side. The comfortable silence sat around you as you heard faint shouts of happy children playing with each other, while you both comfortably sat on the swings in the park.

"I'm gonna be moving to Korea in a few weeks." Riki broke the news.

"What?!" You looked over to him, your once squinted eyes due to the intensity of the sun, turning into wide ones.

"I'm gonna be a trainee." Riki smiled, looking at you.

"Riks! What about us? Our plans? You're leaving your best friend?"

"No silly! I'll still call you and text you." He muttered, chuckling a bit.

"No fair! I wanna be with you." You muttered, the ice cream in your hand being long forgotten.

Riki always knew about you admiration towards him. He knew you liked him. The way you hid your smiles whenever he tied your shoelaces or the way you'd adoringly look at him whenever he dozed off (peeking through his squinted eyes). He always knew.

Which is why it broke his heart knowing that he had to move to Korea.

Because he liked you too. And he liked liked you.

"I'll be back before you know it." He said, reaching out his free arm to ruffle your hair.

You rolled your eyes before looking at him, sternly. "Fine. Since you're going away, let's make a deal."

"Okay." Riki shrugged his shoulders, knowing he'd trust you with anything.

"Let's get married when we're older. Hear me out. I know we're still sixteen, and I'm fifteen, but I can't bear the pain of you finding some hot idol chick in Korea when I'm right here. That does no good for your future wife. So when we're grown up, let's marry each other."

Riki had to laugh.

His sixteen year old self was amazed by your determination.

And also your blatant confession as well.

The fact that you were already reserving him made his heart flutter.

"Anything you say, bunny." He said, smiling towards you.

Without realising you both almost finished devouring your ice creams cones, you quickly shoved the last piece of the cone into your mouth and kissed Riki on the cheek as you got up and running away.

Riki laughed in return while he quickly ate the ice cream in his hand to run after you, proud that he was going to be your future husband.

"reheating last night's leftovers is NOT cooking." you stated, shaking your head. "i don't want you setting my kitchen on fire-" you looked him in the eye, "-again."

his eyes widened. "that was ONE time."

"one time is a lot of times to set someone's kitchen on sire, niki! sorry chief." you told him, once and for all, resulting in a sulky niki. no one, i repeat, no one likes a sulky niki.

"y/n." he called. you turned around to face him.

"what is it?"

“look there! my will to live… it’s gone.”

you giggled. "all this drama because you can't cook to save your life?"

"hey! do you know the number of gordon ramsey videos I've watched? what are you? idiot sandwich, y/n. idiot sandwich." he retorted.

you laughed at your friend. "oh my god, alright. you can cook."

niki did a little victory dance before he took his apron from you, but you then held his collar tight.

"i swear, if you set my kitchen on fire again niki..."

he gulped. "yes ma'am. i will not do that."

cue 2 hours later, you hear absolutely no sound from the kitchen. you really hoped that was just him taking a break. but then of course, life hates you, so the fire alarm goes off.

you run into the kitchen and screaming a little when you see niki's shirt on fire.
