Toothless and Finn!

So for anyone who doesn't remember or know, Finn was an OC I created back when I still went by 'Nikkoleon' and used another art blog. She was designed to be a fun twist for a Light Fury replacement that I wanted to play with.

Her behavior is a lot like a playful dog and she just loved playing and following around Toothless, who also became smitten with her. She can't fly very well, but instead she's build for the water and despite her chubby size, she's incredibly fast and agile in the water with her powerful fins.

I've altered her design slightly, but for the most part, she still felt pretty perfect to me~

(And yeah, I forgot to draw the straps for Toothless's new tailfin, but oh well. Lol.)

He’s all like:

Room Title: The Calming Room Danger Rating: *—- Room Inhabitant(s): The Therapist, Cloud Critters

Room Description: The Room is a massive cuboid, that has a sky like appearance. The floor appears to be made of soft yet solid clouds. There are coloured solid clouds that float around the room. The walls have a sunset like appearance that occasionally dims to late evening view with speckled stars across the darker parts. The gravity in the room is equal to that of the moon. Entering the room causes a calming effect, it clears the person's mind, and lessens negative emotions. Any severe and old psychological problems can be lessened but are not completely cured. Receiving negative information while in the room will cause no emotional pain. Remembering traumatic events will no longer cause distress. E.g. A person skips the grieving stages and gets sent straight into acceptance. A person who is furious with someone for whatever reason, will calm down significantly, and rational thinking that was being overridden will return. There are some exceptions, but those are rare. This effect is gradual and will take full effect within an hour. When leaving the room the person will have a brief period of time where the effects are still active, but once it wears off they will be able to receive psychological damage, but past negative effects are rendered generally invalid.

Room Residents Description: The main resident is nicknamed The Therapist. They have an humanoid adult form. They wear business casual, carry a clipboard (with seemingly endless paper), paired with a fancy pen. They can leave the room, though are extremely reluctant, as the room is inaccessible when they’re out. They have similar effects to the room when they talk (albeit a bit weaker). They are what would be the ideal therapist, optimistic, empathetic,  approachable, etc, etc. They can get mildly irritated, but actual anger is extremely rare, if even possible. If they get injured, steam will come from the wound. If severely injured, after a moment's hesitation, they’ll dissolve into a puff of smoke, and will reappear in the room 3-7 days later. The room will stay closed during this period. Cloud critters are friendly, animal-like, translucent creatures made out of the clouds that drift around the room. They cannot leave the room, and attempting to take one out will cause it to evaporate or explode. They appear and disappear at random, though if you’ve befriended one, it might reappear the next time you return to the room. There are no more than six at one time, and can take the form of any real or otherwise animal.

It's SCP time!

So Dr. Nikko is an old-as-dirt SCP sona I had back in the day and her design...really didn't change. I liked it, so I'm keeping it along with the name. I don't go by Nikkoleon anymore, so she can have it.

Discord Clearout

So every year about this time, I do a Discord Friend List purge to clear out people that I just do not talk to nor talks to me anymore. This purge is not a “I don’t want to talk to you anymore” this is a “Hey, we don’t talk and thus I wanna clean up my Friend’s list a bit.”.

If we have each other on our friend’s list and I remove you, you are totally free to re-send a friend request. However, I am not accepting any new requests until after the new year so I don’t accidently boot anyone new out.

If we have each other on our friend’s list and you WANT TO REMAIN ON THE LIST please DM me on Discord and I will keep you there. Otherwise, you risk getting cleared out. Once again, if I do remove you and you want to be added back in, please just boop me a new request after New Year!

The ending of THW still kinda bugs me. :(  I mean, I personally liked the movie and all, but something just doesn’t feel right with the ending.

To me, it feels like it went down as: Oh, there are bad people in the world so it’s best for all dragons to break from their homes and human friends to go live underground like little mushroom mole people to one day come back when people can get along.

Like, there are always going to be bad people in the world and I don’t think shipping off your dragon friends will ever fix that.

That, and the bonds between some people and dragons were more of sliced with a rusty knife than a kind hand letting their dragons be free.

This is not the face of a dragon that is going to be happy and free. This is the pained face of a dragon about to say goodbye to a 20+ year bond and his best friend. Cloudjumper chose Valka, brought her back to his home, and spent a good chunk of their lives together, side-by-side as partners, not some caged animals that the movie seemed to be playing up that the dragons were.

Toothless might have had a bright, happy future with a mate he got to fly away with, but some dragons flew alone that day.
