THE STONE OF THREE- A WIP INTRODUCTION

Nimlon Dragonprincess is the only child of the King of Nimlorth. And in sixteen days, her father will step down from the throne, choosing a successor to take his place.

When that day comes, though, the King goes against all reason and chooses someone else.

And now Nimlon finds herself exiled, set with a task to retrieve a magical item her family lost centuries ago. If she cannot bring it back within two months, she’ll be imprisoned for life.

That would be hard enough on its own, even if magic still existed in Nimlorth. But it was forbidden centuries ago.

Lesterlas Windrider is proud to say that her adventures are very much over. She’s defeated evil, become Queen of Kalakas, and gone down in history as the greatest person to grace the world.

Everything changes when a wild chase after her dog sends the two of them into another world and right into the path of a small girl with eyes of stone and a will of steel, set with an impossible quest.

It’d be a whole deal easier, Lesterlas reckons, if the visions would just stop.

Nialie Autumnwolf cannot let go of the past. Her little sister tries to, but the Durothian raid that killed their parents and older sister still has its effects. Against her will, she is forced to take her mother’s place as Chieftain of the Runereaders.

Her world is already ablaze when the Durothians declare official war. And as fate would have it, the Goddesses are not on her side.

For who should appear but a lost princess and a bitter queen, begging for her help?

The Stone of Three is a fantasy novel that features queer characters, multiple life lessons learned the hard way, and several tropes taken in slightly odd directions.

The Stone Of Three Characters- Nimlon

Nimlon Dragonprincess

Race: Nimlorthian

Character Summary:

Nimlon is the main character of The Stone Of Three. She is the Crown Princess of Nimlorth and the heir to the throne. She’s been trained all her life to receive the Crown, and yet, when it comes time for her father, the King, to choose his successor, he employs the use of ancient, forgotten prophecies in order to place his cousin on the throne instead of her.

In order to become Queen of Nimlorth, Nimlon must find the Gift of Nilon, a magical gem called the Stone Of Three. However, given that magic was banned centuries ago, that’s going to be rather difficult. 

And so it is that, with the armies of the new King Moargith chasing her, she must find the Stone of Three and return to Nimlorth.

But there is darkness arising in the eastern land called Duroth, and if Nimlon wants to save her people, she’s going to have less time than she thought.

Nimlon is the firstborn to King Aroene of Nimlorth, and she’s bound to inherit the throne any day.

There’s only one problem.

She’s a girl, so she’d be Queen.

The Prophecies declare that the only Queen will bear Nilon’s Gift, a magic too powerful for the world to bear.

Except magic isn’t real. Not anymore.
