people are so quick to comment on how deep her struggle with mental illness was but not about the reasons why and how she might’ve reached that point; this world really did fail her in that reguard

and alas, people still view her through a female hysteria lens.

i’m currently in therapy and the insane amount of my characteristic build-up (or lack thereof in a positive light) leads back to being what felt like a prisoner of the catholic church. only upon getting older and fully growing up did i realise that pain is essentially what life is. i wouldn’t be who i am proud to be today without going through absolutely horrific events. this might be incredibly hedonistic for me to say, but id sure as hell prefer to be hedonistic over leading a suffocatingly pessimistic life. so i find myself now, gazing at the catholic church through stained glass coloured eyes.
