it’s simply too difficult seeing toji in proper attire, especially when he’s attending your brother’s wedding in a suit and tie, something he reserves for truly important events like these. otherwise, he’d just be in his sweatpants and compression shirt.
not that he didn’t look good in that — but it was eye-opening when he made the effort to get a suit jacket and waistcoat with a tie that matched your dress, hanging off his arm while you watch your brother go crazy on the dance floor.
“you okay there, doll?” his voice is soft over the booming sound system but you catch the concern laced in his words, knowing you had quite a few glasses of wine and mixed other types of liquor with the groom’s toast. “we can head back if you want.”
it’s all that you want but you want to do it discreetly, trailing a hand down his toned arm to twine your fingers with his. with a turned head toward him, you look up at him through your eyelashes.
“yeah . . let’s. i wanna—” toji isn’t fully sober either, the intoxication contributing to the blurriness of everyone else while your face stays in ultra focus; your exposed clavicle, your pouty lips. he can already feel himself getting semi-hard.
“you wanna what?”
you’re able to walk back to your hotel room, but with a giddy smile and laughter from your throat, pressing a firm hand against your lipsticked lips with a frown.
“no, not while you have alcohol in your body—”
you push his hand away, latching onto broad shoulders and making sure you appear as sober as you can to him, “what’s with a little alcohol, toji? you couldn’t find our floor in the elevator earlier either.”
teasing is your forte, moving a hand up and down his chest, over his waist, unbuttoning his waistcoat — and it’s true; toji’s a little gone as well, asking you a few more times until you’re shaking him by his lapels and telling him to “get naked already!”
that warrants a laugh from toji and he gives into you, definitely more open to drinking with you before you two get it on because he notices how everything just sends his skin ablaze: your mouth around his tip, his tongue slurping up your juices.
toji’s on cloud nine when you sink down on his cock, easing it into your waiting cunt after the many, many minutes of prep. your moans mingle with your boyfriend’s grunts, hyper aware of his hands that wrap around your waist to help you.
“cunt so t-tight, sweetheart, thought i stretched you out enough—” you’re silent, already half gone from the liquor in your body that it heightens your senses the same way it does to toji. with a hand, you guide him into you, whining softly at the small amount of pain it harbours.
“slow . . baby, don’t rush,” his words sound miles away when he speaks, eyes locked onto your bent body and your ass on display as you start to bottom out, “that’s it, you got it— good girl.” he maps out the line down your back, your tilted head, admiring you with one hand behind his head along the headboard; and when you start bouncing when he fully appreciates the high of whiskey.
the way your gummy walls hug his length, the fluttering your pussy does around his cock, the jiggle of your ass once you start moving — nothing compares to your moans though, hands forming marks on his thighs from how tightly you hold onto them.
“t-toji . . nngh—” incoherent sentences leave your lips, every hump of your hips providing a little friction for your clit. “s’good, daddy . .”
“is it now?” toji hums at the nickname and smiles to himself, admiring the transparent webs of your cum that sticks to your ass and his pelvis. instinctively his hips move up to meet yours, chuckling deeply when you lurch forward and moan loudly at the way he splits you open, so much so that you can feel him against your cervix.
“you just stay there, baby, i’ll do the work,” he grunts out and stays true to his word, planting his feet down just so he can thrust up into you. your body moves with his, eyes rolling to the back of your head and legs spreading even more, but his hips are just too eager to feel your tight pussy around him that his cock slips out with a sloppy shlick.
your annoyed whine makes the other laugh again, but before he can reach forward to help you, you’re helping yourself, looking back at him dizzily and then to his pelvis, feeling around for his cock. you stroke it a few times and tap it against your folds, the dim lighting of the bedroom illuminating your skin and figure so perfectly.
“oh, f-fuck— you’re giving daddy a show, hm?” he says, words just above a whisper, watching how your hips grind against him. but being turned away from him has you having a little more difficulty, tip slipping out every few times toji tries to ram into you and he watches in awe with every time you glance back at him through hooded lids and lolling tongue.
and every time you’re scrambling back to get his length into you, to trail his throbbing tip along your slit to stretch yourself out, to roll your hips with disgusting squelching noises that emphasised how needy you were.
“tojiii . .” you sob when it happens again and toji’s pleasantly surprised to see you close to crying, eyes welling with tears in frustration. you just want him close, but your body’s already too loopy and too fatigued to hold yourself up so toji pulls on you with a tsk.
“dramatic princess, c’mon, i got ya,” from here you can see just how much of a mess you made — juices smeared all over your inner thighs, cunt still leaking, “but i need you t’do somethin’ for me, yeah?”
you sigh as his arm wraps around your middle and his other pulls on your knee so one leg is pulled to your chest; a good enough position, as long as he could fuck you in it. “what is it?”
there’s a certain pout in your voice that he catches, “help daddy get his cock back in you, baby.”
“but—”
“don’t worry,” toji soothes you with a kiss to your temple, adjusting you to properly accommodate you atop of body. not that he couldn’t handle your weight, oh, it was something he loved, but he only hopes you know what’s in store from the very first time you showed him how much you loved his cock in you that it almost brought you to tears.
he needs to see your focused face as you ease him into you, see that focused expression fall into pure ecstasy and a long, languid moan leave your lips as you totally surrender to him. you tick all the boxes soon after, reaching blindly for him while you both watch as you rub his pulsing dick along your sensitive clit; the other has to teasingly buck his hips to get your head back in the game.
“need to feel you ’round me, pretty girl, c’mon. don’t waste time,” he rasps out next to your ear, seeing the bite of your lip through his peripheral as you shamelessly whine at the entrance, sounds coming to a halt when you’re halfway through his length, and then a beautiful arch of your back when your boyfriend bottoms out in you.
“t-toji— mmgh—!”
“use your big girl words, baby.”
but he starts moving and you simply can’t, each vein, each twitch of his cock you can feel it with your sopping pussy as the room starts to smell like sex and sweat. toji holds both your legs, now, making sure you have a clear view of his hips fucking up into yours and relishes in how he’s already rendered you speechless.
“makin’ ya feel good? huh?”
“y-yeah . . daddy . . you feel so fucking g-good,” you barely manage to speak, not noticing the slight stutter he has when the nickname falls from your lips, but you do notice when his pace becomes regular and faster, panting out when your hand starts to rub at your clit. every slap of his pelvis against yours is like a reminder of toji’s overpowering strength over you, holding you up so easily, back curved to fit into his front perfectly.
“you feel so goddamn good too, princess,” he breaths out, feeling your rub circles into your clit and his eyes zone in on how his cock moves in and out of your cunt, taking him so nicely and pliantly that he feels his heart swell, “you know i can never get enough of y’r pussy.”
your heart and pussy pounds harder at that, fully letting your head rest along his shoulder while your body rocks limply along with his thrusts. toji can’t resist giving you kisses along your jawline, sending even more shivers down your whole body before he asks something of you.
“slap your pussy for me, doll,” he grunts into your ear and instantly feels you clench, able to feel his smile against your jawline, “so, soo filthy, just f’me.” you nod, each breath you take a moment of anticipation with someone as gruff but gentle as toji.
“now, spank it.” you obey, giving your pussy a few timid slaps until he releases one leg and shows you how it’s done — harsh, rough slaps against your clit that sends jolts of electricity, and your legs shake in his hold. his laugh is just sadistic, but you love every moment of it, even more so when he spanks your pussy again.
that paired with the noisy pap! pap! pap! sounds of skin slapping has your eyes rolling into your skull together with a convulsing body, not even able to give toji a proper warning before his hand lands on your core on a particularly hard spank and you’re cumming with a cry of his name, squirting all over the sheets and gushing over his cock.
multiple yes’s linger on your lips that it merges together into god knows what, “toji, toji— yesyesyes—” and like a good boyfriend, he talks you through until your pussy calms down and your stomach stops heaving, but god, you needed more.
your hips never stop grinding against his and toji takes it as a sign to chase his high, abandoning your clit before he slams into you like an animal, obscene squelches only highlighting how all of your cum was spraying everywhere. toji bites down into your neck and you gasp both in pain and pleasure, letting your body be used by him until his hips jerk.
“want to be buried in this fucking pussy forever,” it’s strained when he says it and groans when your cunt clenches around him. and it’s not long before he’s spilling his load, so thick and hot into your womb. it just fills you to the brim, little whimpers and mewls weasel themselves out of your throat before it’s taken by toji, a kiss that has you feeling like fire. “love my baby’s pussy, love you.”
“l-love you too, daddy,” you say with a giggle before turning your body over and you can feel his cum start to dribble out, eyes cloudy with the wanton need of more before you start to move down.
a swirl of your tongue, a hiss from toji, “and i love his cock, too.”

Pairing: Din Djarin x GN!Reader
Warnings: Some angst, fluff, soft Din, that should be it
Summary: After being separated for almost two years, you were finally reunited with Din.
Word count: 1k
Translations: Ni kar’tayl gar darasuum - “I love you”
«̶ ̶̶̶ ̶ «̶ ̶̶̶      ̶ ̶ ̶»̶  ̶̶̶ ̶ »̶
One year, nine months, two weeks, and five days since you last saw Din. You had no idea if he was even alive, but you clung to the last words he said to you like your life depended on it. “No matter how long it takes, I’ll see you again.”
Ever since you two were separated a hole occupied space in your heart. Despite the effort to ease the ache, nothing worked. So over time you slowly began to fall further into your own mind.
You had built a small home on a remote planet beyond the outer rim. Remote was an understatement. Other than the animals that inhabited the surrounding trees, you were convinced nobody else lived here. Nobody that would be able to speak at least.
The land was mostly forests. A shallow but fast moving river ran through the trees, coming down from the mountain that sat a few miles from where you stayed.
Over the past year and a half, you built yourself a house and a system that kept you alive. At first it was merely for survival— just to get yourself by one day at a time— but now, physically at least, you began to thrive.
The lifestyle wasn’t bad at all. Most days you roamed the surrounding area, finding anything you could do to keep you busy. But time crawled painfully slowly.
The longer you spent here, the lonelier you got. You’ve already spent a year and a half without seeing another person. And to think of it, you couldn’t remember the last time you heard your own voice.
Now you walked through the trees, mapping your route without much effort. Mindlessly, your feet followed their normal track and allowed your thoughts to slip away from you. Your alert state faded over time since you no longer needed to look over your shoulder every few minutes.
Your bliss was ripped away from you with the sound of a ship flying quickly overhead. An N-1 Starfighter flew over the trees, headed in the same direction as you— which was also the same direction as your house. You cursed to yourself, thinking back to the fire you left running.
The smoke would be easily visible from the ship’s cockpit and the last thing you wanted was an unwelcome visitor. As far as your knowledge— which you couldn’t be sure wasn’t outdated— the starfighter was used on Naboo years ago so you couldn’t imagine who was flying it now.
Your feet were moving before you thought about it and your fingers fumbled for the blaster you kept concealed in your thigh holster. At least you had that. Your preferred weapons were left behind that morning. Approaching your house from behind the trees, you spotted the ship in the only clearing for miles, at least on this side of the river.
Worry trickled into your system, pooling in your stomach while you came up with a plan. As silently as possible, you moved to just under your window to see if you could get a glimpse of the pilot. You saw nothing so you stood cautiously, moving to the door to enter the little structure.
The pool in your stomach filled quickly as time passed without establishing who or where the pilot of the starfighter was. With your blaster in hand, you turned to go through your door, pointing your weapon in front of you.
The breath was stolen from your lungs as your blaster came face-to-face with the familiar beskar armor. “D-Din?” You whispered, your voice trying to get used to being heard again. His helmet came off slowly, revealing himself to you.
The face you had seen seen only a few times but knew more intimately than any other was now directly in front of you. The only thing that broke your trance was the makings of tears in his eyes.
Once your mind had caught up, your arms were around him. He caught you and wrapped his arms tightly around your torso, burying his face into your neck.
You were in tears, overwhelmed by your emotions. It had been so long since you had felt anything more than your usual stoic disposition and empty mind. And now your heart ached in the opposite way.
“I’m so sorry.” Din said, sounding like he was choked up. He lifted his head so he could look into your eyes, without moving his hands away from your waist. You lifted your hands to cup his face. It almost felt like he wasn’t really there, but he was.
His brown eyes gazed at you with guilt, longing, and adoration. Which mixed together to make the expression he presented to you. You examined his face for a moment before pulling him down to you. Your lips met for the first time in almost two years but it felt like no time had passed at all.
Din melted into your kiss instantly, pulling you closer while you sighed into his lips. After a long minute, he lifted his lips from yours and pressed slow kisses onto your cheeks where tears stained your skin.
Your eyes stayed closed while he kissed your face, finishing with your lips again. “Please don’t leave.” You whispered against his lips. Din’s hand went up to your cheek and your eyes met for the second time.
“I’ll never l leave you again, y/n.” He stated quietly. His voice sounded smooth and velvety in your ears. As he spoke, his breath tickled your cheeks. “Ni kar’tayl gar darasuum”
You didn’t understand all of Mando’a but Din had taught you that phrase when he had first said it to you. It caused your heart to flutter— a much preferred feeling to the previous emptiness.
For the first time in almost two years, you smiled. Din pressed a kiss onto your nose and rested his chin on the top of your head, silently promising he would never leave you alone like this again.
After all that time, all you wanted was to stay there in Din’s arms. Neither of you wanted to let go.

||Homecoming||
Summary: The brothers finally come home.
Pairing: Edward Elric x Reader
Rating || Genres || Warnings: T. Romance. Family.
A/N: @infj08pellizzari This is for you! Hope you enjoy it!!!
Tumblr media
You liked to believe you were born under an unlucky star. It had to be that and no other explanation.
Granny Pinako had told you the story. Of how your mother had stumbled to the Rockbell’s door, in labor and with no one else with her. Being doctors as well as the kind people that they were, Yuriy and Sarah Rockbell had rushed to help her. That labor had been long and hard, but in the end they were able to deliver you safe and sound.
However, the same could not be said about your mother.
She died due to complications during birth and was buried in a nearby cemetery. You still visited her from time to time and left flowers there, wandering what kind of woman she had been.
Seeing as you had no one to claim you, and with the Ishvalan War ravaging the country, the Rockbells didn’t want you to get lost in the system by the government. So, they decided to adopt you and raise you alongside their biological daughter Winry, who was only a year older then you were.
You were treated and loved the same as Winry, who was excited about the prospect of a baby sister. You grew up healthy and strong, and from an early age showed an interest in your adopted parent’s profession.
While Winry was the automail lover in the family, you were fascinated by the human body and how you could help to fix it. Under your parents tutelage, you showed great promise in becoming a doctor, or even a surgeon if you wanted.
Life was happy and carefree. Full of love, laughter, friends and family.
But a dark cloud was looming over the horizon. And it would cast a shadow over you that would effect you your entire life.
The first sign of trouble came in the form of your best friends, Edward and Alphonse’s father leaving them.
Within the same year, they lost their mother to the plague. You were devastated for both boys, whom you had known since you were able to walk. It hurt to see them so sad. You and Winry made a pact to look after them as best as you could.
But the tragedy did not stop there.
You were eight years old and Winry was nine when the news came about your parents demise.
How they had been killed in cold blood while helping a few Ishvalan citizens who were injured. Winry had hugged you and cried and cried, then again you were no better. You were lucky enough to have Granny with you, but that still didn’t help ease the pain that you had been orphaned a second time in your life.
It had to be some cruel trick no?
The both of you copped in different ways.
Winry threw herself into perfecting her automail craft and becoming a brilliant automail engineer for miles around. You on the other hand, took to studying your parents books for long long hours. Devouring every text in their small library, before ordering for more book via mail.
This was your way of being close to them, of keeping their memories alive. At times you could almost feel them standing behind you guiding your hands as you tended to a sick or injured individual who came to your home. It didn’t take long for you and Winry to gain a reputation. Granny was extremely proud saying that your parents legacies of helping people would live on in both of you.
And when Edward and Alphonse returned from their alchemy training, the little hole in your heart began to mend. The four of you, plus Granny and later Den your dog, were like a family. You would all eat together and play together.
Though you were the third oldest of your group, with Alphonse being the youngest by a few months, that didn’t stop you from stepping up and taking charge when the situation asked for it.
You would be there to take care of Winry when she would work through the nights to create an automail. Ready with food and water or whatever else she needed. She was your sister, your best friend and the both of you loved each other like anything. For Alphonse you always helped him wherever you could. Given his kind nature, you were always ready to defend him should he get into a fight at school. On more then once occasion you had returned from school from a fight after having punched a bully who was making fun of Alphonse. He was your little brother and you protected him fiercely.
And as for Edward?
The both of you shared the same protective streak when it came to your siblings. So it was no surprise that the both of you bonded over that. But it was more then that at times. You tried your best to be strong for Winry. She had always been kind and sensitive and allowed her emotions to rule her, just as Alphonse did. There was a certain innocence about her that needed to be protected. And you stood as a wall in front of your sister to protect her from it. You tended to hide your real feelings most of the time.
But when you were with Edward? Even at nine years old, you would share everything with him. From the smallest of thought that occurred to you during the day, to your most recent book of surgery. Edward was the same with you. He would share his own findings about alchemy and everything that was on his mind. It was no surprise that the both of you were best friends.
You told each other everything.
                                         ————————–
So when he and Alphonse performed human transmutation to try and bring their mother back, you were shocked to say the least.
But that part came later.
The part that shocked you the most was finding a suit of armor standing at your door and carrying a bloodied Edward.
An Edward who was missing an arm and leg.
You spent the entire night with Granny, tending to Edward and making sure his wounds did not get infected and were closed properly. Not to mention he had lost so much blood that he had to be monitored.
Once he was stable, Alphonse had told you what had happened. What they had tried to do.
And all you could do, was stare at the near comatose state of your best friend and wander where had you failed him?
Where had you failed as a best friend to have not picked up on something so important.
                                         ————————–
The question stayed with you for a long time. Years almost.
In those years, Edward began to use automail for his missing arm and leg. He also became a State Alchemist. And though you were proud of his accomplishment, and of his new mission of gaining back his and Al’s body, the question continued to haunt you.
Where there had been closeness, there was now always a gap between the both of you since that fateful day.
It was only ever picked up on when the both of you were in one another’s company. And since the brothers traveled so much no one really picked up on it. Or so you thought.
                                         ————————–
After the whole fiasco up North, you and Winry had to be smuggled away to be kept safe. It wasn’t easy, wandering around the countryside to keep out of the hands of the enemy. Enemy you still had no idea about since the brothers refused to tell both you and Winry much.
All you knew was that they were extremely dangerous. And if either Winry or you fell into their hands, they would use you both to draw out the two brothers.
One of them, Kimblee, had already held you hostage, to try and get Edward to cooperate. Luckily you had been saved, but the haunting look in Edward’s eyes, the utter fear in his features lingered in your mind day and night.
You had been passing by Resembool when the urge to return home had risen within you. So, you had done the smart thing. You had left your sister with a note before sneaking out into the night and made your way towards home.
Of course you hadn’t been expecting Edward to be there. Along with some new people. But you didn’t care about them. Edward was your main concern.
And considering the last you had heard of him had been rumors about him falling to his death you had all but tackled him in a hug that had him nearly turning blue. One of the Edward’s friends, Ling or Greed or was it Greedling?, had called you Edward’s girlfriend, and how he never stopped talking about you.
The accidental confession had you blushing slightly, though it was nothing compared to the amount of blood that rushed to Edward’s face. You were almost afraid he would faint, or punch the man in the face. But he did neither.
Instead he took your hand and led you out of the house to get a little privacy.
Once the both of you were at a safe distance to avoid being overheard he finally turned to you.
And he did not look happy.
“What’re you doing here without any guards, Y/n? You know how dangerous it is for you to be alone. And where’s Winry?” You sighed, knowing this was going to be a long conversation. “Winry is fine, she’s with the guards. They’ll probably get here in a day or so and well.....” You suddenly felt a little unsure of your decision to come here. “I came back early because I-I missed home.” You finally admitted, raising your head to glance in the direction of the house from where you had just come from.
Though there were hardly any lights on, the house still looked open and welcoming. Because it was home.
Tears stung your eyes and you tried your best to wipe them away not wanting Edward to see but he did anyway. A feeling of guilt bubbled in his chest as he watched you. “I’m sorry. I know its because of me that you, Winry and Granny had to leave and go into hiding.” He said, to which you quickly shook your head. “No, Ed! Its not your fault. Its whoever is looking to hurt you through us. Its their fault.” You proclaimed passionately. Though that simmered down rather quickly as you turned your gaze towards the heavens to look at the stars that twinkled down at the both of you.
“Sometimes, I just wish that things could go back to what they were.” You admitted. “You. Me. Winry. Alphonse. Granny. My parents. Your mother. Life was so simple back then. None of us knew just how much we would appreciate it.” You sighed, wrapping your arms around yourself. “If I could go back I would do it in a heartbeat. You were so happy. We were all so happy.” Even with Edward standing right behind you, you couldn’t help but feel.....alone.
So alone.
You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn’t hear or feel when Edward moved towards you. His arms came up to wrap around your torso, trapping your arms in the process. A startled gasp fell from your lips. You felt him lean his forehead against the back of your head. There was a momentary pause, where your brain seemed to wander when he had gotten so tall. But that was completely lost in the haze of feelings that took over your very soul as you shifted your own arms to wrap around his, squeezing them closer as you drew comfort from his embrace.
“I promise life will be happy again Y/n.” He whispered softly, his breath tickling the back of your neck. “We will all be happy.”
Despite the crushing weight of despair that had threatened you a few moments ago, in Edward’s arms, you felt at peace.
                                         ————————–
Since that night under the stars, you had begun to harbor a warmth within you. A warmth that only seemed to grow each time you thought about Edward. He had to leave soon afterwards, but not before promising, once more, to come back safe and sound.
It had been months since you had seen him or Alphonse, or even heard from them. Normally it would alarm you, but you had faith in your boys. Winry certainly did.
On the plus side the both of you had shifted back to Resembool. Granny too. But with protection. The two guards were still around to make sure no stranger came along, but it proved to be a little difficult since your home served as your base of operations as an automail workshop and a makeshift hospital.
You had gotten rather good at treating people. And were even thinking of giving the exam that would have you earning the license you needed to become a professional doctor.
Which was exactly what you were doing that day. You had gone out early to post your application, and would probably hear back from them in a week or so. During your walk back, you marveled the countryside as it bloomed in the spring. The wind played with your hair and you could hear Den barking in the distance, probably playing.
A smile pulled at your lips as home came into view. There were three figures outside, something you could make out form the distance. One of them was Winry and the other two?
As you drew closer, as your vision cleared, your eyes widened. Where you had been walking you slowly began to hasten your steps. One after the other. Until you were running.
Running
Running.
Running.
Before crashing straight into the arms of both Edward and Alphonse Elric.
You were sobbing tears of joy as you held the brothers close, as you kissed the top of Alphonse’s head and held his face in your hands to look at him closely. “Its you! Its really you! Oh! Alphonse! You’re back little brother!” You wiped at your tears before hugging him once more. Alphonse returned the hug just as fiercely as it was given.
“Hey he’s not the only one who got his body back!”
So maybe Ed was feeling a little left out.
You turned from Alphonse to look at Ed flexing his very human hand. With one arm around Alphonse, you reached out with your other to grasp Edward’s human hand and smiled at him. So full of hope and joy that Edward returned the smile with a tender one of his own. And as he intertwined your fingers together, Winry moved to throw her other arm around Alphonse and smiled through her own tears as they all simply sat there and basked in one another’s presence.
                                         ————————–
The house was quiet. Everyone had gone to bed. You stood in the doorway of Alphonse’s room, your gaze gentle as you watched the younger boy sleep. He was truly there. Well and truly there and your heart felt as if it would burst with happiness.
“Couldn’t sleep?” A voice from behind made you look up at Edward and give a small shrug. He too came to stand beside you. Your gaze flitted to his newly restored hand and you couldn’t help yourself as you reached out to hold it again. “I feel like I’m dreaming. That any moment I’ll wake up.” You admitted, not looking away from where your hand held his.
His grip around your palm tightened, but only slightly. “You and me both.” Edward admitted with a soft laugh. “But if this is a dream.” He turned to look at you the same time you did. Your eyes met, and you felt that warmth within you surge to a roaring flame.
“I don’t want to wake up.”

Pairing: Rooster x Fem!Reader
Eventual Warnings: 18+, explicit language, explicit sexual content (oral (m receiving), vaginal fingering, p in v, and slight dom/sub and praise and rank kink elements), idk basically she’s a bit of a brat? and he likes it?
Tumblr media
“So, what’s with the bar?” you asked, looking around, a teasing smile on your face. Bradley cocked his head. “I mean, is it just me or is like every naval officer within a forty mile radius here?”
Maybe he had misjudged picking the Hard Deck. It wasn’t exactly the finest establishment in San Diego County, but the drinks were good and you had mentioned Coronado a couple times over text, so Bradley had thought it would be convenient.
In fact, to offset the location, he had even worn a pale blue oxford, unbuttoned but with a plain white t-shirt underneath, instead of his usual Hawaiian shirt. You looked like the kind of girl who would have appreciated the effort. At least that’s what he had gleaned from your Hinge profile and text messages over the last two weeks.
He shrugged in response. “My friends and I like it. It’s right near the base and we normally come after training. It’s not too fussy, I guess, so I thought it would be good for a first date. Low key and all that?”
“Oh.” That wasn’t a good ‘oh.’ “You’re in the military?”
Bradley chose his next words carefully, mindful that there definitely seemed to be a wrong answer here and he was about to give it.
“Yeah, a naval aviator,” he nodded, trying to sound casual, “is that going to be a problem?”
You shrugged and took a sip of your margarita before licking some of the salt off the rim. Bradley watched, captivated, despite the fact that you had just insulted him indirectly.
“I mean, I understand that we need a military - to a certain extent, at least. But I’m kind of against the whole US Military Industrial Complex thing? Like the US alone spends more on defense than the next nine countries combined. And the cost of one of those planes you fly could feed the entire New York City public school system’s worth of kids three meals a day for at least - well, I’m pretty shit at math, but I’d say at least five years -”
Holy shit. You were - oh, fuck. Before he really thought it through, Bradley went to interrupt you. “- I mean, when you put it -”
“- Plus, the whole imperialism, white man’s burden, manifest destiny bullshit you all like to spout out like Uncle Sam’s got your dick in his mouth.”
Bradley scoffed. He couldn’t help it. In all his years of being in the Navy, he’d never once had this sort of reaction. It was - oddly stirring, actually - finding out the woman he had envisioned every night before he’d fallen asleep for the last two weeks apparently now hated his guts.
“I get what you’re saying - to an extent,” he reiterated once he saw your pleased smile, “but the military still does a lot of good outside of combat zones-”
You laughed, but it lacked any humor. “Sure, taking advantage of and recruiting impressionable kids with the promise of free college - that they probably won’t actually take advantage of because going back to school when you’re older than ninety-nine percent of your classmates isn’t daunting at all - is a great business model?”
He ignored you and nodded towards your margarita. “Want another drink?”
“Only if you put it on Uncle Sam’s dime.”
Oh. Fuck. Him.

Chapter 7 of Gideon the Ninth
So, it takes an hour to get from Pluto to the First House. Originally, I thought the houses just went in order, so the First House was then Mercury. It is 3.64 billion miles from Pluto to Mercury, and the speed of light is only like 670 million miles an hour, so that would be traveling at five and half times the speed of light. However, it also says that there are other houses plural that are closer to the sun, so clearly the First House is not Mercury. If you were setting up a space empire in the solar system, it would make the most sense to have the seat of power at Earth obviously, and that fits the description of the planet being blue, but the way it is worded it sounds like there might actually be *more* than two hoses closer to the sun, so maybe it is actually Mars? Mars wouldn't be blue without significant terraforming, but obviously significant terraforming is a thing that is happening given that we are also living on Pluto. Anyway, the distance between Pluto and Earth is at *minimum* 2.66 billion miles, which is still 4 times the speed of light. The only distance I can find between Mars and Pluto is 3.53 billion miles (mostly because Pluto has been removed from all of the lists of planets at this point), which obviously isn't the minimum distance since that should be smaller that's Earth's, but I still doubt you could get there in an hour at light speed.
The Emperor "has not come back in over nine thousand years". I wonder if he is actually an immortal being, or if it's like LOTR and he just fucked off somewhere nine thousand years and and is definitely dead by now but since no one actually saw him die we just have to sort of pretend like he's coming back eventually
Or possibly, since this seems to be a theocracy, the Emperor is actually God/John
Dulcinea's reaction to them seems to indicate that the rest of the Empire is not not quite so into the necromancy aesthetic, so I am interested to see what the broader picture of this is
So I guess there is going to be a lot of Harrow pretending in public that she and Gideon have like, a normal sort of interpersonal relationship, which might be fun to watch
Gideon thinks Harrow is going to live forever, I would love to know why, but the narrator is Gideon and therefore we can't have nice things

You have been asked about your theory
arborealoctopodes asked:
Hi I would like to hear about your theory
SO. I’m still working on this one, and it’s Bungie so there’s like a 70% chance it’s something brand new and completely out of left field. But one of the few bits of info we got from the showcase implied Neomuna was the result of a ship that escaped the Collapse. That made me think of an old plot thread from a D1 grimoire card:
I fear my will is not strong enough to shape these worlds. Only the Tyrant can do that, but he will not be a part of my journey. Even his reach has limits, and we will be nine billion miles away. I whisper my concerns to the Tyrant in tiny magnetic bursts. He does not listen. The Tyrant says take the SIVA, and so I take the SIVA. The Tyrant says go to the stars, and so I go to the stars.
Sometime around, but before, the Pyramid Fleet hit the system, Rasputin dispatched a colony ship carrying SIVA to a destination "nine billion miles away”. That line always made me roll my eyes because while it sounds like a lot, in astronomical terms nine billion miles isn’t very far at all. It’s barely 100 AU; the orbit of Neptune is 30 AU out and the Kuiper Belt tails off around 55 AU, and there are dwarf planets like Eris with its high-eccentricity orbit that range out that far. It’s less than a tenth of the way to the Oort Cloud that marks the real edge of the Solar System. At the time I chalked it up to Bungie’s writers grabbing what sounded like a big number and not bothering to do the math.
But. Remember the Solar System wall map in Rasputin’s bunkers during Season of the Worthy? After Neptune it had a few rings for the Kuiper Belt and then an additional planet the same size as Neptune. Astronomers have long debated the possibility of a tenth (or ninth, now) planet, usually nicknamed “Planet X”, that orbits waaaaaay out there*. Planet X is a staple of scifi and unless Rasputin’s playing a bizarre joke on us the Destiny universe has one in the form of a world of significant size way out past the Kuiper Belt. A planet at 100 AU - nine billion miles - from the Sun would fit Rasputin’s map and line up with older theories for a real-world Planet X.
* It may seem absurd that we could miss an entire planet, but planets don’t emit visible light, only reflect the Sun’s, and a world that far out would appear to move so slowly it could be mistaken for a fixed star. These days space-based IR sky surveys have mostly ruled X out - but only mostly.
Golden Age human spacecraft ranged as far as the inner edge of the Kuiper Belt, and Clovis Bray’s journal contains a passing reference to what sounds like a Vex incursion at a research station on Pluto, but the line of permanent human settlement hadn’t yet passed Titan. When Rasputin started building the Exodus program as insurance against the possible extinction of humanity, Planet X would be an ideal candidate for the first wave: close enough to quickly resettle our system, far enough from human settlements that a force targeting Earth might miss it, especially if they kept their heads down. So I’m now thinking maybe the colony ship he sent out with SIVA really was going a mere nine billion miles away - to pitch camp on Planet X.
Pulling an entire Golden Age city out of thin air is a stretch even for Bungie. They’ve had this reveal up their sleeve for a long time, long enough to put Elsie’s fish in the Beyond Light reveal trailer and maybe the mystery power armor Sloane found on Titan in Season of Arrivals. Therefore: what if Neomuna was the reason they included Planet X on Rasputin’s bunker map in the first place? The lightmap was a significant setpiece they knew players would be watching closely, so the artists probably didn’t add it just for funsies. Casually dropping in a new solar system planet is a pretty crazy piece of worldbuilding. And yet it’s barely remarked on in written lore, either then or since - same as Elsie’s fish, which those bastards played the long game on for two solid years. I will bet you a hundred dollars that when the map assets for Season of the Worthy were made, Neomuna was on Planet X. I bet it started out there and got moved to Neptune the way the Deep Stone Crypt was originally going to be on Enceladus (hence Cayde’s message to Petra) but got moved to Europa later in development. I bet the story’s going to be that the colony ship was headed for Planet X, but the Pyramid Fleet hit the system early and they dove for cover on Neptune.
The few early bits of info we’ve gotten on Neomuna suggest their tech is all based around extremely advanced nanites, like the constantly-morphing Quicksilver Storm. Elsie even calls out SIVA the first time she encounters the Neomuna nanites, but says Neomuna’s bugs are vastly more advanced - which you might expect if SIVA were the original city’s lifeblood and they’ve iterated on the tech out of necessity ever since. We also learned the Cloudstriders have very short (10 - 15 years) lifespans because of how much cybernetic enhancement they do to their bodies. Remember the secret experiments Willa Bray was doing with SIVA? She was infusing it into people, trying to enhance physical and mental prowess. And it worked, too - but it drastically shortened their lifespans. To the tune of weeks for Willa’s subjects, but like Elsie said, Neomuna’s had a lot of time to improve. And for meta reasons it would explain why Bungie hasn’t revisited SIVA in recent years even though it’s a popular request from D1 players; they already had a whole expansion of “SIVA, but neon chrome this time,” in the pipeline.
Given that Neomuna’s hidden in the atmosphere of Neptune, there’s a good chance it’s the NEFELE STRONGHOLD mentioned in the Collapse-era Rasputin message - a human settlement that Rasputin then erased all mention of, even from his own memory. If he knew that ship had gotten a foothold on Neptune, he’d probably also know the Pyramids hadn’t found it yet (was this, potentially, because of Savathun? is this the trick her worm claims she played on the Witness? that seemed to be more about the Traveler though.) Exodus Black had crashed, Green disappeared into a singularity, and Red and Blue hadn’t even made it off Earth. Rasputin knew every Exodus ship was a mad gamble anyway. At that moment he would likely consider the Neptune colony to be humanity’s best shot at avoiding extinction. So he cancels its defense as part of his general retreat but also takes the time to erase all traces of its existence, including his own records. He won’t help them, but he will give them a chance to stay hidden and escape the Black Fleet. And since he’s now forgotten the colony exists, he doesn’t check up on them in the following centuries or mention them to us.
Like I said, it’s Bungie, so there’s a 70% chance the lore justification will be completely new and out of left field. But it does line up. In a month of guessing I wouldn’t have called the swerve they took for Lightfall, but now I think they’ve been leaving breadcrumbs for this one longer than it seems at first glance.

Lost. It’s not as much of a feeling as it is a state of mind, but to Eliza, it has never felt more like an emotion. She felt completely and utterly lost, her soul an empty wasteland with miles of void space. She was running until she wasn’t, running out of air and water, and when she turned around the world only seemed to have grown bigger. She couldn’t escape. She was trapped. She felt lost with nowhere to go and it scared her shitless.
She stood in the wasteland of her dreams, of the happiness she thought was finally hers, but instead, the pain came and overshadowed everything. There was no more silver lining, only a black hole in the vastness of space, but even that space wasn’t part of our solar system, it was somewhere far away where no one could have possibly found her.
A voice called out for her. Physically, she was on earth and reality was… well, it was real, but at the same time it wasn’t. The voice sounded familiar yet alien. The hand that touched hers was warm yet cold. She heard a familiar prayer whispered into her ear, and the words sent shivers down her spine because even God was connected to memories she would have rather stuck down the garbage disposal.
Her eyes were heavy. She didn’t want to wake up. The world was cruel, but so was sleep. That was the truth; she was lost and even the points of escape that were offered weren’t exactly an escape, it was just more pain atop pain until eventually, the water managed to drown her completely.
The more aware she became of her physical state, the more agony seemed to spread through her knuckles. Slowly but steadily, she blinked against the protruding sunlight. Her eyelids were heavy and swollen, the salt of the previous tears burning her skin. Something wet and tight was wrapped around her knuckles and it smelled like copper in the room.
Copper and sweat stuck to the walls of her nose and refused to let go of her; she wanted to puke. The temperature in the room was treacherous because how was it possible for it to be hot and cold at the same time? And why did her head hurt so much? Did she fall? Her mind was full of millions of thoughts faster than she could think them properly, and yet her head had never been more empty. Everything was empty yet heavy yet oh so painful and she already hated that hopeless feeling that seeped into her bones.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity of useless fighting, she opened her eyes. Her vision was blurry and it took her a while to make out the details around her, the furniture of Matt’s apartment and his distinctive silhouette next to her, clutching her bandaged hands and praying to a God she didn’t believe in, and his faith seemed to be swindling too. He sounded tired, and he looked just as awful. She didn’t even want to know what she had done. This was her fault, whatever it was, and she wished to pass out again.
Matt, ever so attuned to her body, lifted his head. His teary, unfocused eyes fell on her. He squeezed her hand gently with both of his own. “Hey,” he said, his voice barely above a relieved whisper. “Hey, you’re awake. How are you feeling? Are you okay?”
Eliza opened her mouth, but she couldn’t answer. Was she okay? She didn’t know.
He brushed the sweaty strands of hair out of her face. “Sweetheart,” he called out for her again, trying to coax her into a state of proper consciousness.
She looked at him, taking a deep breath. The oxygen rattled in her lungs like an old motor.
“Hey,” he gave a broken smile, “There you are. You had me worried there. I thought… God, I was so worried, baby. Don’t ever do that to me again.”
She was missing some context. She remembered falling asleep in his arms and that was it. She couldn’t even remember how she got from the bed to the couch or why her knuckles would possibly have needed bandages.
“What–“ she croaked, her voice hoarse.
Matt reached for the water bottle on the coffee table and held it to her lips to drink. She took a desperate sip.
“You don’t remember?” he asked softly.
What was she supposed to remember? Judging by the look on his face, it was serious. He couldn’t even hide it for her sake.
“Can you talk?”
“Yes,” Eliza breathed out. “I just don’t… What happened?”
Her eyes were full of fear as she looked at him. He could smell the fear seeping out of her pores, the uncertainty in the way she held his hand impalpable.
He softened his gaze. “You had a rough night,” Matt tried to explain, trying not to break or scare her further, but he could feel her pulse quicken as her brain slowly started to wake up, and the realization settled in.
She looked at her hands. The dream hit her with full force. She remembered the blood on her hands, and Viktor’s condescending words as he called her weak, forcing her to kill over and over again until she was strong enough for his liking. It felt so real. The blood felt so real.
She remembered shying away from Matt, slipping into a haze as she scrubbed her knuckles open. There had been blood, but it had been hers. If her victims' blood became one with hers, she wasn’t sure, but a dream was all it had been and she took it too far. She took it too seriously because it had never felt that real before. She was back in the White Room and she was so helpless.
“Did I…” She didn’t finish her sentence.
Weakly, Matt nodded. “But you’re okay,” he said. “It’s okay, I promise.” He was struggling with tears, she could tell, trying to convince himself more than her.
“Oh, God,” Eliza choked out. “I’m so sorry,” she said. “I didn’t mean to… I promise I didn’t mean to.”
“Hey, I know. I know.”
She tore her hand out of his and covered her face, her body trembling with fear and the salty ocean that started building up its way behind her closed lids. “I don’t know–“ she swallowed. “Ugh! I don’t know what’s happening to me. I don’t know, Matt. I don’t know…”
He got off his knees and sat beside her. His arms opened and her crying frame fell into them. He cradled her close to him, his hand resting on the back of her neck. Her sobs echoed in his mind, seemingly breaking glass and tearing the apartment apart. Her pain broke him, and there was nothing he could do.
“Shh,” he murmured, pressing his lips to her scalp.
Eliza shook violently in her arms. He was the only thing keeping her from falling apart completely. He caught her while she was falling, and he saved her life in the process. She owed him so much and the fact that bad things kept happening in ways she couldn’t understand terrified her to the point of no return.
She clung to him, her hands clawing at his shirt, and he tightened his hold on her as he whispered sweet nothings into her ear. Her heartbeat sounded so loud and fast, her breathing coming in labored puffs. He rubbed her back, hoping it would soothe some of the initial aches and bring her back to him, but the more she cried, the further she slipped into the black hole he was trying to save her from. He was trying to save her from herself.
Another strangled sob escaped her throat. She tried to utter something, but her vocal cords were twisted. She couldn’t move. His voice moved into the background. Instead, alarms started blaring in her mind. Her muscles locked up and her vision blurred. She couldn’t breathe.
“Hey, hey,” Matt said, firmer now, squeezing her tighter, “Breathe, sweetheart. Breathe.”
She managed to shake her head as if to say, ‘I can’t.’ He noticed her distress.
“Take deep breaths. In through the nose, out through your mouth.”
“I c-can’t.”
“Please.”
Her quivering lips parted in a silent plea, “Help me.”
Matt tried his hardest not to cry with her. He hooked his arm under her knees and picked her up, carrying her shaking body into the bathroom. “Okay,” he muttered to himself. He turned the shower on, the water cold but not too cold as he lowered the shower head from his preferred height to one that would accommodate her.
Her sobs came only in broken bouts and he set her down on the cold tiles. She gasped, her lungs filling with the first breath of fresh air. He gently coaxed her under the stream and she yelped at the sudden change in temperature, her clothes getting soaked the moment she found herself under the water. Although when she opened her eyes, the world around her went quiet. The water formed a bubble around her, tuning out everything but the sound of the droplets hitting the tiles. Her tears mingled with the water and she focused on the cold feeling on her heated skin, the reminder that she was alive and that the world around her was real.
His hand caressed her thigh as he looked at her. “Breathe,” he told her, “and focus. Tell me five things you can see.”
It had become a familiar routine. She listened to his voice as he told her what to point out to him and in return, she focused on her surroundings as hard as she could, focusing on what her senses could pick and what his couldn’t. She told him what she could see, hear, smell, and taste. She focused on the cold water, the cold shower tiles, and his soothing hand on her thigh. Her limbs quivered, but her breathing began to regulate, and she finally found her way out of the box she had been trapped in. She stopped running into walls and found the hatch, breaking out of confinement into the world.
Her body slacked against the wall and she exhaled yet another shaky breath. Amid the chaos she had caused herself, a sliver of peace rolled around the corner.
“There you are,” Matt smiled softly at her and asked, “You okay?”
She licked her lips and nodded slowly.
“Can I turn the water off now?”
“No,” said Eliza, “Need it on.”
He nodded in agreement and sat down next to her, a position he often had been in before and had gotten used to it at this point. It wasn’t always as serious as that night, of course, but he didn’t mind the cold as long as she didn’t have to feel alone, and he knew she often did, even when he was around.
He gently took her hand in his, stroking his hand over the soaked bandage. He could smell the copper of her blood stuck to the fabric and running down the drain mixed with the shower water, and it was completely wet with different kinds of fluids at this point, but she wasn’t in pain. At least he couldn’t make out any of her usual signs of discomfort, her muscles were merely sore and her head hurt. He kept stroking her hand, listening attentively to her heartbeat as she focused on his breathing and began to calm down.
“You scared me,” he dared to admit.
She swallowed. “I know.”
“I was so worried about you. For a second I thought… last night, I thought you were gonna hurt yourself.”
The sanctuary of the water raining down around them seemed like the right place to pour his heart out. It was something he could no longer deny, and she didn’t deserve to be lied to either.
“I’m sorry,” was all Eliza found in herself to say. Another wave of tears stood close by, ready to fall and break her down again. “I’m so sorry,” she said.
“You remember everything?” he asked.
She nodded.
“You wanna talk about it?”
“No. I can’t…”
“It’s okay,” he squeezed her hand again, “I understand.”
“It felt so real.”
“I know.”
“But I never wanted to hurt myself. That wasn’t… whatever you thought happened, it wasn’t me, it was…”
“Viktor?” he finished for her.
Eliza shuddered at the name, but then she nodded and said, “Viktor.” Saying his name sounded foreign, even though she had multiple times before.
Even dead, he still haunted her.
They sat there in silence for a while. Matt eventually turned the water off, but they stayed there, hand in hand, sitting on the wet floor of the shower. She stared blankly ahead, trying to sort her thoughts and emotions, and Matt listened. He always listened.
Softly, she called his name. “Matt?”
“Yes, baby?”
“I think-” she said, swallowing. Her thoughts were still a mess, but hearing the fear in his voice before and the pained look on his face just from experiencing her pain taught her something she should have realized the day before, or perhaps right after watching the life drain from Viktor’s eyes. “I’m not okay,” she said. Her voice bordered on a hushed whisper.
He turned his head in her direction. There was no surprise on his face, only understanding. Claire was right when she said he had to listen to what Eliza wanted. He knew her better than anyone and she always came around, sometimes sooner than later.
“I’m not okay,” she repeated and met his unfocused eyes halfway, “and I think I need help.” She cracked.
Wordlessly, he opened his arms again. She scooted closer and melted into him, placing her head on his now-wet chest. He rubbed her shoulders, trying to soothe the comforting ache of the cold that kept her grounded in reality.
Matt pressed a kiss to the crown of her head. “Okay,” he said.
“I don’t want to be a burden. I know you were scared, I know I hurt you just as much as I hurt myself, and I know there is so much we said we had to do before I… before I slipped. There are so many unanswered questions and I know you put Daredevil on hold for me. You pushed your anger away for me. You stopped going after the guy whose name you were told. You did that all because of me, just to be by my side the past two days, and I don’t know how to repay you for that, so I’d understand if you said you want to go out there tonight and stir some shit up. I’d understand if you said the city needed you more right now because truth is, this guy is dangerous and the night at the hospital haunts me as much as Viktor’s face does. I want to know who this guy is too, I want to understand, and we don’t, so we need to find a way. Or you do. I can’t keep you away from this part of yourself any longer and I couldn’t possibly want you to,” she said.
He cut her off by lifting her chin and forcing her to look at him. “Don’t,” he said.
She frowned, sniffling and trying to blink away the tears. “Matt-”
“No, you’re not a burden. You’re right, I chose you over Daredevil. I chose to take care of you. But I don’t regret it. I chose you because I love you, and I won’t leave your side until I know you’re going to be okay.”
“But this guy-”
“He’s not gonna touch you because I’m not leaving your side. Not until I know you’re fully yourself again, which you’re not. I love you,” Matt pulled her close and rested his forehead against hers, “and nothing matters more to me than you do, Punisher be damned. And he can’t hurt you here, I’m not gonna let that happen. You get that?”
All Eliza could muster was a weak nod.
He pressed his lips to her forehead. "I made a promise to you, and I intend to keep it. We'll find a way to figure out who this guy is and understand what's going on. But right now, you're my priority. Your well-being comes first, and I won't let you go through this alone. We're in this together."
Her breath hitched. The familiar burning in her eyes intensified. She wasn't strong enough to stop the silent tears from cascading down her already wet cheeks. Matt was by her side, and while guilt was a cruel son of a bitch who always managed to suck the good out of everything she faced, she could feel his love through the invisible string that connected their souls in a whirlwind of emotions.
"Thank you," she whispered, her voice filled with a vulnerability she hadn't shown in a long time. "I just don't want to lose myself. I don't want to hurt you or anyone else."
Matt wiped away a tear that escaped from her eye. "I know, sweetheart. And you won't. I promise."
Eliza clung to him, her grip tightening as if he was her lifeline. And he was. He was the one thing keeping her from drowning.
“For now, we just have to focus on making sure you get better, okay?”
The softness in his voice caused another tear to slip down her cheek and land on his finger.
“I love you,” he said, “more than anything in this godforsaken world and I will never give up on you. Never.”
“I love you too,” she whispered back.
He kissed her forehead again. “I know. Let’s get you dried off, get you some fresh clothes, and rebandage these knuckles, hm? And then maybe you can try eating something. You need sustenance.”
She nodded.
“I’ll call Mrs. Darcy for you and make sure you get an appointment for tomorrow. You need your rest today. And then tomorrow, you can talk to her about what’s been going on and maybe she can help you find a way to navigate this without losing yourself any further than you already have. Deal?”
She nodded again.
“Good girl,” Matt hummed against her cold skin. “Now come on, you’re freezing.”
He helped her up, gently peeling the wet clothes off of her body. She protested when he turned the water on again, making sure it was warm before pushing her back under the stream. She relaxed almost immediately. He got in after her, washing her hair and smoothing a sponge over her reddened skin. She let him do what he felt she needed, and she loved every second of it.
Her body temperature returned to normal when he guided her out of the shower and wrapped her in a towel, drying her body and her hair. She closed her eyes, letting it happen. She was too tired to fight, and perhaps it wasn’t all too bad to have someone taking care of her. She wouldn’t have done it on her own. He was simply making sure she was alright and taken care of, and she appreciated that in a way she wasn’t sure how to express except for giving him a gentle peck on the lips.
Matt couldn't erase the scars of her past, but he could offer her solace in the present. He did a good job, she had to admit. He always had and he always would do a good job at taking care of her. His love had no limits and exceeded most expectations she'd had of relationships before he came around. She still often believed she didn't deserve him, and it was true; Matt was too good for her, but God, did she love the man with all she had, and there was no currency in the world she could repay him with because his love was priceless and she didn't know how to act. Even after all this time, she was as clueless as before, and he still loved her, even though she sucked at it. She couldn't understand why. She wanted to understand, but his loving her seemed like a chore and she needed to know why he was still clinging to her, even when she turned into such a mess, someone not worthy of such a dedicated love because what she gave back couldn't possibly match up.
Her mind slipped into darkness, the demons taking over and their voices were so loud, it frustrated her. Tears sprung to her eyes, but he caught them before they could fall. "You're safe now," he whispered.
"It's not that," she admitted as he led her to the bedroom and pulled out a pair of his sweatpants and a -shirt, all carrying his scent, his essence, and connecting her to his being. He knew she wanted nothing more than to be swallowed by him on bed days. It comforted her. Another display of love her mind reeled with, and the demons screamed again.
Eliza closed her eyes. She fought with the voices in her head, trying to quiet them for just a moment, but they wouldn't stop. Her movements as she got dressed were still heavy with the burden she carried.
Matt tilted his head. "What then?" he asked. "You can talk to me, baby. What's on your mind?" He could tell she wasn't quite present, and it wasn't the fog from the panic attack or the night before. She was thinking, and she was thinking loudly.
She managed to slip her arm through the sleeve of her shirt. Exhausted, she lowered herself down on the bed, dropping her head in her hands. She wasn’t crying, but she whimpered, the fight against the noise in her head becoming futile because she wasn’t going to win either way. She couldn’t say anything against the cruel words thrown her way because even she, in her lucid state, found them believable.
She took a deep breath, which quickly turned into a groan. Eliza met Matt's concerned gaze, and her voice trembled slightly as she began to speak. "It's just... I don't understand, Matt," she said.
"What don't you understand, my love?" he asked, lowering himself next to her.
"I don't understand... I don't get why you love me so fiercely, why you're still here even all I've put you through, and I continue to fall apart every time shit happens and it's always you who's here, always you who has to catch me, and I... it doesn't seem fair, and it's not what I want you to feel like you have to do. I just don't understand why you stick around, you know? I don't and it's so fucking frustrating because... I don't deserve this kind of love. You keep saying I do, but I don't. I can tell you I'll be there for you all I want, but in the end, it's you who has to catch me, not the other way around. So I just don't get it because I don't deserve this unwavering devotion. I don't."
Matt's expression softened. "This again?" He wrapped an arm around her, but she shied away.
"Eliza," he tried again, his voice sincere, "I love you because of who you are," he said. "I can see the strength in you, even when you can't see it yourself. You've faced battles I can't even fathom, and yet you keep pushing forward. You still find it in yourself to love others and give back even when you're falling apart, and that is so admirable. That's what I look up to in you, that's what draws me to you. It's like nothing ever truly destroys you because you won't let it, no matter how many times you say you're broken. I didn't understand it before, but then Claire said there is no benchmark on how much pain a person can endure, and you have endured so much and you're still standing, it just shows how fucking strong you are, and it... it hurts me to see you hurt, but that doesn't mean you burden me or that you don't deserve my devotion. That's not true, sweetheart, and you know it. I know you do. Deep down, you know."
She swallowed, allowing him to touch her shoulder this time. "But," she said, "what if I can't love you the same way you love me? What if my love is tainted? What if I can't give back what you give me and I hurt you? I don't want to hurt you... and I hate that I think that way, but the voices... these stupid voices, they just won't stop!" Eliza dropped her head in her hands again.
Shaking his head in response, Matt gently lifted her chin, ensuring their eyes met.
"Eliza, love is not a transaction. It's not money. It's not an actual currency that can be compared. It's not about matching up, giving back equally, or measuring worthiness. Love is about acceptance, understanding, and being there for each other. It's messy and imperfect, and sometimes it hurts, it really does, but it's also the most beautiful and transformative force in the world. Everyone loves differently, but you always give more than a hundred percent, and you love with all of your might, and that is more than enough because I feel so loved by you, I sometimes feel like I am not deserving of you. That's what love is, not whatever you think you have to match up to, sweetheart. You're doing the best you can and that is enough. You are enough."
Eliza's eyes welled up with fresh tears again. She wanted to believe him, to trust in his words, but she couldn't shut out the voice in her head, no matter how far Matt kept pushing it into the background.
"I want to believe you," she whispered, she longed for it, "but these demons in my head... they make it so hard. They tell me I'm not enough, that I'll only bring you down in the long run. And I'm starting to believe it."
He gently brushed away a tear from her cheek. "Well, I'm not going anywhere," he said. "I choose you, every single day. I would choose you again and again, not someone else because I love you and I feel loved by you, so you're not getting rid of me. Not again. Not happening."
Love isn't conditional, it's supposed to be a guiding light and help you grow with it.
"You are worthy of love, Eliza. Don't let those demons tell you otherwise."
She wiped her tears with the bandage around her hands. “I’m sorry,” she muttered, slowly but steadily letting herself fall into his arms.
He hugged her close to his side, his nose brushing through her hair. “Don’t apologize,” he said.
“I just want to be enough.”
“And you are enough.”
“I’ve never been enough.”
“As I’ve told you before, your past doesn’t matter anymore. I’m here now. You’re not alone and you have never been more than enough.”
She leaned closer, feeling his heartbeat against her cheek. “I love you,” Eliza whispered, her voice barely audible.
Matt smiled, pressing his lips to every inch of skin he could find and reach. “And I love you,” he said.
“I’m sorry, I’ll try to-”
He shushed her with a gentle kiss to her lips, cradling her face in his hands. “Unconditionally. That’s how much I love you.”
She nuzzled her nose against his.
"Things will get better and life will get easier.”
“You’ve said that before.”
“I know, and I’m sorry all of this keeps happening to you, but not once did I consider giving up on you, and I still won’t. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere, so you better get used to that. I won’t take ‘no’ for an answer.”
She sighed, keeping her mouth shut.
“Now," he said and took her hands in his, "let's take care of those knuckles before it gets any worse.”
Matt cleaned her wounds with gentle precision, his touch tender as he rebandaged them. "There we go. Good as new, almost." He made sure the bandages sat perfectly before pressing a tender kiss to each knuckle.
“Thank you,” she said. A tear mingled with a bittersweet smile on her lips. “I may not understand why you love me so much most of the time, and I’m not sure I ever will, but I am so fucking grateful that you do…”
He smiled and moved his lips from her knuckles to her face, kissing both of her swollen eyes, licking away the tears, caressing her cheekbones, and returning to their throne on her lips.
She melted into the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck. He cradled her head in his hands as he kissed her gently, making sure not to push her too far, and the weight on her shoulder lifted. Matt's kisses were the medicine to her pain on stormy days.
Pulling away, their forehead remained pressed together as their heartbeats and breaths intertwined, becoming one with the invisible string that was always there, keeping them tied together. Especially now she could feel it, craving his touch more than anything, and she recharged in his embrace, choosing to cling to the little bit of hope he seemed to want to transfer onto her.
He smiled softly, sensing the way her muscles started to relax under his fingers. “That’s my girl,” he breathed.
She shivered, moving impossibly closer.
Matt stroked her head back, kissing her softly on the lips again, lingering for a second before pulling away. “You hungry?”
She was hungry, but she didn’t have an appetite.
“How about I make you something while I call Mrs. Darcy and you just lay back and rest?”
Eliza succumbed to her hunger and the exhaustion of the past few days. She nodded, crawling back into bed as he tucked her in, pressing another gentle kiss to her forehead.
“I’ll be right back,” he said.
She laid back on the pillows, closing her eyes. The demons in her head momentarily silenced, and she listened to the sound of Matt’s movements in the kitchen.
She was brought back to the present by the sound of his footsteps approaching. Opening her eyes, she saw him carrying a tray laden with a plate of food and a cup of tea. “You made my favorite,” she pointed out when she saw what he was carrying.
He smiled. “I made your comfort food because you need comfort.”
“And tea.”
“Yeah, you need it.”
He was right, she did need it.
She ate and drank slowly. Her stomach protested at first, but after the initial ache subsided, she managed to swallow the bites of her sandwich better, and the tea flowed effortlessly down her esophagus.
Matt rubbed her thigh as he sat next to her. His fingers painted absentminded pictures on her skin, her muscles relaxing under his touch. He was a magician with the ability to peek beneath the surface, and he acted on her needs without needing words. It came naturally to him, almost. Taking care of her was a reflex, and he carried the ability to read her like an open book with the utmost pride because when it came to Eliza that was a rarity. She wasn’t an open book, at least not to most people, but no matter how well she locked herself away, he always found his way around her defenses. He had this way of getting under her skin and into her soul, and she could push him away all she wanted, he was confident enough now to keep her around because he knew she didn’t want to push him away, she simply wanted to protect herself.
She wanted to protect her fragile little heart and she wanted to protect him from the person she could become when the world became too much for her fragile little heart, but Matt was the last person to shy away. He, too, was broken. He couldn’t possibly judge her or see her as a burden when he was just the same. So he stood by her because it felt like the most natural thing to do, knowing that if life hit him as hard as it did her, she would do the same for him, and he didn’t even doubt it for a second. He knew her well enough by now, even better than she knew herself. He wanted to protect her heart; she couldn’t do it by herself anymore. She needed a shield and he would offer it to her.
He loved her with a passion that exceeded the powers of the universe, and he was sure that they could overcome anything with the strength they shared through the connection of their invisible string, something he had yet to understand, but that was something he would concern himself with if it ever became important enough to become an issue. For now, their connection was a once-in-a-lifetime gift, and broken human beings like them needed each other or life would surely find a way to end them. The invisible string saved their lives and there was nothing more to it than that. It was plain and simple, almost, but deep and vulnerable just the same, like the ocean’s tide.
Eliza placed her hand on his, her eyes closed. She took a deep breath. He was scared and tired, but he was trying for both of them. She could feel his devotion deep in his soul. It kept her grounded, making sure she wouldn’t slip from the precipice again, not without a rope to save her just in case. She needed his calm, she needed his love, and at that moment, she felt everything.
His veins glowed a distinctive red when she touched him. Time stood still. The world outside didn’t exist. Everything else melted away, the pain and the fear, and then it was only them left and endless possibilities to lean on each other and breathe. She breathed and he breathed and their heartbeats aligned. Their souls became one. Their connection deepened. She was in him and he was in her. He lived in her heart and she found a home of her own in his. They built their defenses back up together, but this time there was no differentiating when it came to seeking solace from the prying eyes of reality.
“What’s happening to us?” Matt dared to ask. His voice bordered on a whisper.
Her grip on his hand tightened. “I don’t know,” she admitted, “I just feel you, and that’s enough for me.”
He felt her. He felt all of her. It was a vulnerable feeling. His soul lay wide open and exposed, as did hers.
“You feel me?”
“Yeah.”
“I feel you,” he whispered.
“You do?”
“Yeah, all of you.”
Their foreheads pressed together like magnets. Matt reached out to stroke a strand of hair out of her face and she shuddered at the touch.
“I miss myself,” her vulnerable confession hung in the room like the red smoke that clouded her vision.
The red in his veins subsided, but the strength of his hold never wavered. “I know it feels like you’re not,” his fingers moved from her forehead to her lips, “but you have never been more yourself.”
“I’m scared…”
“Shh, I know.” He shushed her with a gentle kiss on her lips. “I’ve got you.”
“I’m just so tired.”
Her exhaustion was more than evident, and he would have been able to tell even without his heightened perception. Her heart was beating, but she hardly felt like it was. She couldn’t find a pulse. Her heart and muscles weighed heavy. Her limbs were dragging on the floor, too heavy for her to lift, and she was slowly melting into a puddle from the painful fire in her soul that started to turn her skin into wax. She was falling apart without actually breaking, like an unfinished cake collapsing in on itself.
Matt put the mug and plate aside. He began scratching the puddle that she was off the floor by pushing her back into the pillows. He tucked her in, the blanket enveloping her like a safe cocoon. The comfort warmed her sore body and functioned as a balm to her shattered soul, as did the love he poured into every fleeting touch. His hand lingered on her cheek, brushing his thumb over her cheekbone which had become more protruding over time.
Pressing a kiss on her forehead, he got up. “You need to rest,” he told her. “I’ll take care of everything else. You just lay back and try to close your eyes for a few minutes.”
But Eliza caught his hand and her teary eyes gazed up at him with utmost devotion. “Thank you,” she whispered.
He squeezed her hand in his. “Anything for you, my love.”
She didn’t protest when he stepped out, closing the bedroom door behind him only enough to keep the sunlight out. There was a small gap between the frame and the door, a small point of escape if she started to feel trapped. She appreciated his consideration. The words got stuck in her throat and she gave up, succumbing to the warmth of their shared bed and the silence that finally settled into her mind and the world around her. It was a peaceful silence, a welcomed moment of peace without the usual chaos raging inside of her like the dead sea.

Pesanta's Lycan Troubles
Okay, so there's this project I have been working on snce 2017, and I wanted to show that even though I don't write much publically, that I am constantly writing and planning out stuff. This universe is set on the planet Tellus in a country named Pharus. Essentially, after a war happened, the supernatural began going rampant and in order to stop it, Pharus had to start up a secret organization called The Order of the Hound. This is in the point of view of Knight Captain Pesanta, his real name being Arvidan Lorentzen.
Oshana is an allied country and can be more closely compared to a middle eastern style country.
Aldrose and Artas are both cities in Pharus.
Now in order to not get confused, there are things known as Categrories, which basically is like how difficult could it be to take on a beast/supernatural creature. Category 1 is the easiest and Category 5 is the highest, and then there are Sires, which are insanely intelligent and powerful creatures that can kill towns easily on their own. Sires can be capable of speech outside of human form ie; Lycan or a Shape Shifter. If you have any questions, you can go ahead and ask haha.
I am gonna tag some people I think could like this: @abstractmarshmallow, @noirineverysense
CWs: Supernatural, POC whump, mentions of death and blood, some gore, children infected, mentions of murder, gun violence, Lycans, and some horror aspects.
~~~
Nine Years Ago
Pesanta was still on the hunt for the very Sires that dared to make their identities known to The Order over a year ago. It was easier for him to go alone than to put anyone else at risk, and he was thankful Mara had let him go forth with such a heavy task. For a price. He just prayed that he could come home in one piece so that he can do sentry duty for however long he had to as punishment for his tenacity.
He finally had made it to a small village in the outskirts of Pharus, near the border, when something struck him as odd. He was only using the village as a marker to make sure he didn’t stray far from the leads he already had, but something was very wrong. He stepped off the horse he was using thanks to the Order sentry point he had passed a few days ago. Plato was the name of the horse, a beautiful Oshanese bred animal that can run upwards to 50 miles per hour, or so the breeders advertised. He tied Plato to a tree branch he was certain that Plato could break free from if something were to go wrong.
Pesanta adjusted his gauntlets and chest piece, having gone forward and donning the Order dress uniform. It concealed him in the night, and he wasn’t going to fight any creatures unless it was a life-or-death scenario. He took in a deep breath, smelling the air to see if anything stood out to him. His senses were on high alert when the smell of rusted iron was registered in his mind. The scent of rusted iron can be a sign of cation iron, which blood has due to the iron humans have in their systems. The rusted smell can only happen when blood has been introduced to oxygen for a prolonged period, which can only mean that someone has bled out. Or has been killed and has been laying about for a while. It couldn’t have been long since there was no scent of rotting flesh. That means the possible attack that could have been caused the smell of blood happened within the hour.
Pesanta knew he should radio back to the sentry point, but he still had to investigate before making that call. He didn’t need to raise the alarms too soon and cause for the Knights to be displaced when they could be utilized in another area for a true emergency.
He patted Plato on the side of his neck and rubbed him, the horse making small sounds of happiness and distress, his nose already sensing the scent of possible death. “It’s okay, Plato. Shhhh. I’ll be back in no time at all.” With that, Pesanta removed the shotgun with silver slugs readied up in the chamber, clipping it to his back for quick access later. His pistol was at his hip and his blessed blade was on the opposite side of his forearm guard, ready to release with a technique learned long ago. He treaded quietly along the pebbles and dirt to the village walls, his hand against the wooden gate, slick with what he knows to be a concoction of holy water and anointing oil. Anointing oil was a mix of equal parts cinnamon, calamus, cassia, and myrrh, in olive oil, which has shown to be a good repellent to keep the supernatural forces away. There was now a scent that made Pesanta sick to his stomach, and it made him realize that no mater what was used on the gates and walls, it was going to counteract it.
“Fennel… and Coriander? Burnt? What the hell were they thinking? You never burn those two… Even burning one or the other is enough to attract the foulest of-“
A scream cut off gutturally stopped his train of thought and he immediately pushed open the gate, his heart hardening and his soul trying not to crack. There was no sign of life because everyone was dead, their throats ripped out and the look of fear on their faces, their eyes dim and glazed over, as though what they had seen was enough to send them to the next world. He took another step and there was a small squeak, a small toy beneath his foot. He bent over to pick it up, wiping away the dust and the footprint on it, thankful that the blood hadn’t yet soaked the small teddy bear. He wanted to return it to the original owner, but he couldn’t spot a child around, which grew anxiety within him. He pulled out his communicator, his voice calm and collected as it should be. A Knight should never let their fear get to them.
“Pesanta to Sentry, I am requesting reinforcements to my location. Signs of a Category 4 or above at the works currently. Can’t make a definitive call on the creature. A small village has been wiped out and ransacked. I am going to keep investigating to find any survivors,” his voice came out with an air of seriousness and haste in them.
A few moments go by without anything as Pesanta went deeper into the village, his eyes locking onto a schoolhouse nearby and cautiously making his way to it when the communicator crackled to life. “Sentry to Pesanta, we heard your distress call, and we are sending a team out there immediately. ETA is about forty-five minutes via helicopter. Are you going to be okay?”
Pesanta looked up at the clear sky, the stars and moons riddled about, both moons full, and his heart is racing at the thought of what the beasts could possibly be. If it was a beast. For all he knew so far, it could be a blood thirsty demon enacting out in a bout of revenge.
“Pesanta?”
“Yeah, sorry. I was thinking about what is going on here. ETA for forty-five minutes is fine. I am going to pursue this until you arrive to help. Pesanta out.”
With that, he slipped the communicator away and he smelled the air, the rank of burned fennel and coriander making him sick to his stomach. Someone burned it in the schoolhouse at some point that night, which attracted the creature… or creatures… to the village. And with that, the blood of many have been spilled that night, their blood seeping into the earthen crust of Tellus.
He grabs his blade and has it prepared in case anything happens and kicks the schoolhouse door open, glancing inside to seeing the foyer, surprised that he isn’t hit with the smell of iron, but rather something else. It’s not a scent he can describe, but it’s almost like a natural musk of pine and earth, but there’s no scent of iron, which bothers him more than anything. He still has the teddy bear in his other hand, and he hears the faint echo of a door hinge creaking, his head snapping in that direction. It’s an obvious trap, so he doesn’t want to walk in without ensuring his ass is covered.
He scans the room with what he calls his Knight’s intuition, trying to glean any hints of what he is truly dealing with. There were some claw marks along the edges and trims of the walls, which immediately eliminates a few of the creatures in his head. The smells he’s been getting from the very beginning have been telling that it’s not a vengeful spirit, but it’s something alive with a beating heart, and that only makes things worse. He sees a shadow and he spun on his heels, dropping the toy and replacing it with a pistol, his eyes narrowed and adjusting to the darkness. “Show yourself!” He roared angrily, his rage increasing by the second.
Then he sees a small child make their presence known, stepping into the light of the moon coming through the widow. “S-sir? Why are you aiming at me?” It was a small girl, her blonde hair glimmering almost. Her attire was a little tattered and she seemed under a whole lot of duress, but Pesanta had to continue with his protocols, his aim still not adjusting. “It’s for both our safety. Has anything been happening here tonight? You ought to have seen what happened outside. Are there others?” He asked, his awareness of his surroundings still heightened. “Uhm, well there was a lot of screaming and stuff, and I ran here because it’s safe. There’s more of us in th-the classroom,” she answered, sniffling and pointing to the door Pesanta was certain had creaked just a minute ago. “I see. Why are you running amuck in here then? Let’s get you back to safety. You sure there are classmates in that room?” Pesanta’s hair along the back of his neck rose and he held his breath when she nodded her head happily.
Something was wrong. Why wasn’t she sad or scared? She barely seemed bothered by the events that happened, the fact her parents may be dead, and by the idea that she could be all alone. He watched her walk over to pick up the toy, hugging it to her and running over to the classroom door, opening it up to reveal a group of kids, all huddled and staring up at Pesanta. “See? The nice doggy told us to stay in here and the bad dream will be over.”
His eyes widened at that, and he felt a shiver up his spine, swallowing back anything he had thought previously. “The dog, yeah? Just stay in here with your classmates then and I will look for the dog. Don’t be scared then. Back in the room. I am going to lock it just in case. I am bringing some friends here soon.” The kids barely argued with Pesanta and they went back to their seats, the windows showing the moons shining brightly above the forest. A child had looked up at the moons and bounced in their seat. “Soon we will be children of the Moon, the dog said! He even gave us playful kisses!” Pesanta stared in horror as the kid showed him the small gash at their wrist, thin black lines traveling up the veins in their arms and a hint of golden red in their eyes.
It was worse than he could have ever expected nor imagined. It was hell, and now he was going to have to find some way to save these kids if he could, but he had a mission to do. Reinforcements would be there soon. They can help him with the kids. He ran out of the room and shut it with a loud thud, locking it and using a special balm most Knights carry on their persons for events that needed an emergency blessing. He quickly scrawled in one of the Olden languages the phrase that keeps the door from being touched by a Lycan without harming them. That would now apply to the kids who are infected by it, and it keeps both threats in and out of the room. Pesanta heard the tell-tale sound of claws clicking against the tile, and he didn’t need to turn around to see what it was.
Without wasting a moment, Pesanta turned his gaze, and down the hall, claw marks finally made known to him across the walls and floor, stood a Lycan with a maw of dripping crimson. It bared its teeth at him, and its ears were pinned back as a sign of aggression, its eyes a pale gold that shone brighter when it stood under the moonlights’ rays. Something told him it wasn’t the Sire he was hunting for, but perhaps an underling, either a Category 4 or 5. He reached behind him slowly to grasp his shotgun when the creature growled at him, eyeing over at the classroom. “You aren’t hurting them,” Pesanta called out, gripping his shotgun tightly, but not yet revealing it to his adversary. “I am not letting you take anyone else, you foul beast. I know you are protecting your Sire, but I’ll find the bastard, and when I do, I will gut it and skin it’s hide off so I can place it on my wall!”
The Lycan snarled and bit at the air, the echoes making it sound louder than it truly was. It stood up fully, its hackles up and its stance wide, taking up the whole hallway before charging down at a speed faster than what a usual Lycan moves at. Pesanta whipped out his shotgun and fired repeatedly right at the chest of the creature, blood flying in all directions, the glass shattering, and the roars of pain sounding off in the whole school. When Pesanta was done unloading, he rolled out of the way, grabbing his blade and pistol once more, gritting his teeth as he realized that help won’t arrive before the end of the battle approaches. He must end it as quickly as possible. The Lycan was on the floor, getting up and shaking off the glass shards from the windows as Pesanta quickly put some of the balm he had used on the door previously, wiping it along the sliver blade. He only had one chance to use it right, and so he did what any sensible Knight would have done in his situation: he fucking ran down the other hallway, pushing himself to run at a speed he had used long ago to run away from another beast.
Each of his rushed steps sounded off, but it was easily drowned out by the howl of a Lycan now on the hunt, chasing after him, the snarls of a predator getting closer… and closer…
And even closer until Pesanta knew to leap forward, spin in the air so he landed on his back, and fired the pistol right in the eye, chest, and stomach of the beast as it over calculated its leap. The Lycan writhed on the floor and Pesanta unloaded as much as he could into the back of it, hoping it would be enough to incapacitate it long enough for the other team of Knights to arrive, if not actually having been able to kill it. As he was catching his breath and propping himself up onto his feet, staring at the demonic wolf humanoid with as much animosity as he could. “If you really knew better, you should be fucking dead by now, but now, you persist and evade death. You really want me dead, fucker, then come at me!”
He didn’t notice it until it was too late, but the Lycan pounced and just as Pesanta was able to step back, the Lycan’s claw had not only cut through his chest plate with ease, but its claws had managed to dig into his chest and wound him, making Pesanta scream and look down to see the blood seeping out of him. There was no way he was going to die without having taken down the Lycan.
He refused to let himself fall and die a simple death; there was too much at stake. Instead, he got back up, his breathing ragged as ever, blood pooling in his mouth to make him taste his own iron. “You have to do more than that…” He spat out, having only his blade on hand. The Lycan didn’t look so good either, dripping blood from multiple wounds and sizzling where the silver had embedded into its skin, yet it defied all the rules of nature and remained poised and regal in its depraved state. The Lycan approached Pesanta paw by paw, licking up the blood that the man had spilt and almost sinisterly grinning up at him, almost as though it reveled in it. Both the Lycan and Pesanta charged at one another, one screaming and roaring while the other snarled and howled, both crashing into one another and rolling around in a pool of blood.
Fifteen Minutes Later
The Sentry team had arrived to the village that Knight Captain Pesanta had on his communicator’s location tracker, and the smell of the area was now putrid and smokey, mostly due to the dead bodies all over and a large building – a school maybe- on fire. There in the village square, Knight Captain Pesanta sat on top what seemed to be a dead Lycan, a large one at that, and was sharpening his blade using the Lycan’s claws. The man looked gaunt and pale, his chest piece off and a wrapping around his chest, blood having soaked it, but all the other Knights didn’t need to know a thing. They kept their aim on him, and he looked up at them, his blue eyes, dead as ever, as he spoke softly, “I had to kill the kids in there. They all had Turned to the moons. I had to do it.” Beside him was a small teddy bear, drenched in blood and he looked at it, sighing and standing up with his hands above his head. “The Lycan scratched me with its claws, but I am positive I am not infected. Stick to the protocols though and take me to the nearest Order medical outpost. Bind me and keep an eye on my behavior. If I act out in anyway that is violent, shoot me in the head with a silver bullet and burn me with anointing oil and mistletoe.”
He finally ended up passing out on the air lift to the medical facility, but he was found to be clean of any Lycan disease and was released on a month-long break in which he stayed in the bars of Aldrose and Artas, drinking away his sorrows and praying he stop seeing the little girl that he had to kill in order to save her soul.
No one ever joked about his time there and if anyone ever did joke about a Lycan around him, they would see the same hatred in his eyes as he had shown the Lycan he now has pinned against his office wall.
These people are idiots now there's a big scientist don't touch them and don't go within a few feet and some reason and listens because I have a sword and a horse and they can hurt you really bad and they don't listen to all day long so they ran around at night still and it's usually trumpsters and they shoot at people and stuff and they tried to find Brian cuz he's dressed up as them they're in their characters and they didn't fall for it I'll tell you what these people are stupid and what's he really going to do okay to the soldier but nothing it's just a waste of time people are fools but they are saying to go after them and stuff like that it's gross right now they're turning it up a few notches it's going to be hell for them they're going to die and their flagrant waste of time
-the shifting is done at 100 to 150 50% done it'll be done by around 3:00 a.m. low tide and all that s*** is out there already it's gross and it goes by after a while and the salt water comes in and washes it out around 5:00 a.m. and a whole bunch of air comes in and once you're done the sifting they are going to start on excavating the larger diamonds and there are four on the West Coast in this area and about four more up the coast and down one this one down the South as a total of nine they're about 1 mile they're not that big but they can get to them the others are very far down and you have to go from a tunnel and the tunnels are wet down here typical of all over and they are going to excavate those probably starting this coming morning early around 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. and they are constantly moving those spaceships out and they're in the 5 to 20 they've been going for 3 hours solid and it's only a quarter empty of what it was so that's not bad and that's the whole band so really at noon or to 2:00 p.m. tomorrow if they have it prepped it should be empty but they really have to prep and then start over it doesn't go constant so it takes a couple of days to do this Friday night it should be done 20 to 50 will take one day and we're back to the right on the schedule Mondays will be done with the whole shore, tonight the whole thing's going to drop and you don't have to unplug the diamonds where they pulled out the other diamonds which is up north off of Tampa and Sarasota there are three up north that whole area has dropped completely and it is gone but when they drop out way out there it's probably 25 to 30 miles the air blows around for a while before it gets here and he's going to try and blow it in and right here too cuz he's an a****** and if you deteriorate the brain stupid head it's not the same computer if you follow that and he gets it it's not like your brain which is like a baseball. And people will understand that and it's kind of a nightmare for them but that's what it is and they'll see it too Saturday and cells are in God's way for celebrating Salazar and goddess wife are celebrating because it's going to be something that they have to evacuate everybody has to move
-and there are some things that happen because of it it says the Spanish caravan and a lot of people are going to be there it's turning it's a massive a massive event in another battle and a war and fighting over it feels wow that's ridiculous and this is now he looks as we got to get out of here so the traffic to move traffic to move and a lot of people are going to be evacuating but yeah the firebird is next because of the Kia it's another special motor where you put just mechanical valves for the fuel injection and it works much better sounds a little funny but it works really well and for a lot longer time those cars have it in them now most cars have that it's a huge change and he made the fuel injection system and she did too and they fixed the pressurization problem she did that he says and she did.
-and there's more news the pseudo empire is not engaging the clones but they are fighting the warlock and finding them to be complete assholes they're just jerks they won't stop doing anything and they're having a hell of a time they're fighting each other out there right now there's a development it's kind of brewing it is about the bootleg and it's about up there it is Northern Appalachia and they're making a lot of booze and it's coming down the mountain tons of it and they're not barging it but they're bringing it in every weekend and it's coming up and the pseudo empire are threatening to halt it and they're trying to get it in there and some of them don't care if it gets in there or not like mac and he says what is the big deal with you people cutting people off it's not healthy so he doesn't like them and it's going to go on if this is turning into a war between these groups and it won't change at all and it's become a big war already but it's going to be a war everywhere and it is going to eliminate the two and it's getting worse and worse and they're not looking at anything else and they suck the war of the firebird is become immense there's an invasion plan people have gone to that Timmy Doyle is left a contingent and it's not too huge and they have specially thinks he can hold them off and we think it's going to move tonight and it has to be a huge a****** tomorrow he says I should have done that laundry today they were trying to giggling cuz it's true so it's going to be a big day tomorrow and we are going to watch as things change slowly but it is going to change a little faster once that firebird goes to New York they're going to go after the money cuz to see the one of the biggest if not the biggest money center it is the biggest money center and Trump is in trouble with money and feels like 30% of the world's wealth now and people are going to take it he's such a cheap freaking piece of s*** and he's stupid okay the man is a retard and that's what it is so ghost in New York and he gets a s*** kicked out of him and goes to Virginia and he gets beat up worse cuz he goes there and the Max come out and they get rid of him quick and Tony Stark is getting beat up too and he leaves he goes to Georgia tells his friend you're not protecting me and I said what the hell are you expect I don't have anything he laughs and says what about these Giants I said you have to watch out for the max and he knows so you send people to take a look and then he told everyone else and they finally get on it a little more and foreign has heard it so it's going to work this is great other stuff that's happening the max see the warlock and begin assaulting and the warlock now see the max because they're just doing what they're doing but faster and they can see it and it's a huge day and the Friday the 13th starts up and there is one coming up and last time I started up with a little and it's going to be intense and Halloween stuff on Halloween but there's going to be a lot of things he's going to be doing and he starts to heal finally what a nightmare you people hardly do anything and he knows that you're trying you just lose your temper for quite easily but boy get beat up and mangled and it's really no place to go and you don't have time to heal and you can run around and it's a nightmare it's like living inside a zoo and the max making that way
-and there's a few more things that are pretty big but that's huge there's a kickoff for a massive series of films and events and ancient lore that will come true it is massive it's it's more large than any I've ever seen and the dragon disappears what kind of trying to figure out how he can't figure it out he thinks he gets money and goes there and people think that might happen and it might happen with the dropping of the golf it's true too you'd have time even to hear about it.
It says you get up in the tower and it's better although it'll be windy out a helicopter could come or a car and it's true and he can't go below and we save probably can't and you might get trapped in there so it's not a bad idea we do hear that there's some ways that he gets up there we'll see if people he used to know find out that they can leave if they want to cuz a million dollars at was it Burger King. So there's a lot of stuff happening but it's going to happen soon there's more to announce bja plans to fire Trump from a bunch of jobs tomorrow and he plans to take over the area and it's not fun time and I sense is where did you f*** off you loser you want pressure I'm just going to break your neck and toss your head and acid there's some pressure you little s*** no f*** you Brian you're all done you little b**** I'm not going to sit here and be a rebel and a fighter and s*** with absolutely nothing you c********** loser you're such a f****** moron I can hardly go buy a load of paper I don't know what the f*** is in your head just so dumb. And The Rock says he's supposed to be like a leader or helper any treating like just a slave for ideas and telling people s*** so he doesn't care about you you fart you going to make this life miserable we're going to make yours miserable The Rock and miscellaneous and others say I mean really you're just a s*** head he adds.
Used to know how it is and how it works now you don't there's no team here and there's nothing here for me you're a piece of s*** this guy's a piece of s*** you just sit here and tons of money doing f****** nothing with it absolutely nothing you're useless you are useless piles of s*** you can't even get things to your people and you have some more money than anybody else you're f****** stupid I'm sick of hearing from you I'm sick of your dumb lines bja look you don't need any spaceships at all he doesn't either we're going to make sure you don't have any I can keep saying that to you cuz you keep saying this dumb s*** to me and I'm going to make it happen see the second line that's what you say you follow up with something even better he's dumb assholes you're not on my team you're not my people you're f****** stupid and you're all done and you aren't going to have ships we're going to make sure they're going to go back after him you're going to lose them
That was our son and daughter tell these cheap assholes off because wow they dumb they don't have a plan anymore and they don't have any savvy or style he's trying to run the whole thing and he has to bypass their leaders cuz they're so fried I agree too you people are spent you take too much of our time your stupid useless retards and your zombies level is high I'm ordering you dead again I'm going to have a special meeting again I can't stand you what you say Brian is so dumb you're such a f****** idiot nobody wants to work with you you're supposed to do that why would it work with you for nothing and he's not in fear for his life or he won't have anything he's just getting rid of you so that you can that's the that's the goal of course he agrees he's saying it too stupid everyday is stupid he repeats it everyday cuz you're so f****** dumb and you can hit so what it made you stupider that's what you should know
We have other stuff to announce but we're going to publish it's getting really big because these b****** want to argue about how right they are about dying and they really are right about dying they're useless
2007 - Led Zeppelin
The surviving members of Led Zeppelin announced they would reform for a star-studded tribute concert in London. Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones would play at a show to remember the late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. The place of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, who died in 1980, would be taken by his son Jason. The one-off concert, the trio's first performance for 19 years, would take place at the O2 arena in London on 26th November.
1990 - Stevie Nicks
Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie from Fleetwood Mac announced they were leaving the band at the end of their current tour. At the time, some believed that Nicks’ and McVie’s departures were hastened by bad blood in the wake of Fleetwood’s memoir, Fleetwood: My Life and Adventures in Fleetwood Mac Fleetwood Mac.
1989 - Aerosmith
Aerosmith released 'Pump' their tenth studio album which featured the hit singles: 'Love In An Elevator', 'The Other Side' and 'Janie's Got a Gun'. Car Maintenance Services in Thane-Car care tips to keep your vehicle in great shape
Introduction:
Maintaining your car is crucial for its performance and longevity. Neglecting simple maintenance tasks can lead to costly repairs and decrease the resale value of your vehicle. Fortunately, by following a few easy car care tips, you can keep your car in excellent shape while preserving its value. In this article, we will discuss nine essential tips to help you maintain your car effectively.
Clean your vehicle regularly:
Regularly washing and waxing your car is essential to protect its paint job and prevent corrosion, especially if you live in a cold climate where road salt is used. Consider scheduling a routine wash and wax treatment every six months or perform it yourself to save money. By maintaining your car's appearance, you can ensure that its value remains intact when it comes time to sell.
2. Get routine maintenance:
Refer to your car's manual or consult the dealership to find the suggested routine maintenance schedule based on the miles driven. Most vehicles require routine maintenance every 5,000 miles or six months. During these maintenance sessions, mechanics perform oil changes and multi-point inspections to ensure that your vehicle is running smoothly. They also check and replace worn items like air filters and windshield wipers. Additionally, they will inspect fluid levels and address any potential issues that require attention. Learning basic maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, can help you save money in the long run.
3. Don't skip major services:
When your car requires a tune-up, it's important not to skip it. Tuning up your vehicle typically involves replacing older parts with new ones, such as spark plugs, oil filters, fuel filters, PCV valves, belts, and hoses. The longevity of these parts will depend on your car's make and model. Consider requesting cost estimates from the service department ahead of time to prepare for these tune-ups.
4. Get your brakes checked:
While there is no set frequency for brake checks, it's recommended to have them inspected every time your tires are rotated or every six months. If you notice any changes in your brakes while driving, it's best to have them inspected as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.
5. Check fluid levels often:
Make it a habit to check your car's fluid levels at least once a month. Create a checklist that includes engine oil, coolant, power steering fluid, windshield washer fluid, brake fluid, and transmission fluid. Low fluid levels could indicate significant issues with your vehicle, and addressing them early can help prevent costly repairs in the future.
6. Pay attention to your tire tread:
Monitoring your tire tread is essential for maintaining control of your vehicle, particularly in adverse weather conditions. You can use a tread depth gauge or a penny to check your tire tread. Insert the penny upside down into the tread with Abraham Lincoln's face looking outward. If his head is fully visible, it's time to consider getting new tires and consult a tire dealer for confirmation.
7.Keep your tires inflated:
Proper tire inflation is crucial for vehicle safety and optimal fuel efficiency. Some newer vehicles have built-in tire pressure monitoring systems, but if your car doesn't have this feature, invest in a tire-pressure gauge to monitor your tire's air levels. Refer to the sticker inside the driver door pillar for the recommended inflation levels and ensure that your tires are inflated correctly.
8.Don't ignore leaks, sounds, or smells:
Fluid leaks, unusual noises, and unfamiliar smells should never be ignored as they may indicate underlying issues with your car. Investigate these signs promptly to prevent further damage and expensive repairs down the line.
9.Pay attention to alerts:
Whether it's the check engine light or any other unfamiliar icon, never ignore alerts from your car's dashboard. These alerts are your car's way of communicating that something is amiss. Even if the issue seems minor, it's better to be safe than sorry. Take your car to a professional for a thorough inspection.
Conclusion:
Caring for your car doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. By following these nine car care tips, you can ensure that your vehicle stays in great shape, saving you money on repairs and preserving its resale value. Regular cleaning, routine maintenance, and prompt attention to potential issues will go a long way in extending the life of your car. So, make car care a priority and enjoy a safe and reliable ride for years to come.
The Polestar 4 Seeks to Redefine the SUV Coupé
Tumblr media
Polestar recently announced the Polestar 4, an electric performance SUV coupé and the second SUV in the brand’s line-up. The new vehicle combines the "traditional" aerodynamics of a coupé along with the space of an SUV, and integrates design elements from Polestar's earlier concept cars. Positioned between the Polestar 2 and 3 in both price and size, the Polestar 4 comes with a new approach to SUV coupé designs, and the company adds that it has given the Polestar 4 better comfort and experience for drivers and passengers alike. This includes eliminating the rear window, separating the dual blade front lights, a lower nose for improved aerodynamics, along with other elements such as retractable door handles, rear aero blades, and better air flow on the rear light bar. The Polestar 4 is built on Geely Holding's "Sustainable Experience Architecture," resulting in measurements of 4,839 mm length, 2,139 mm width, and 1,544 mm height. This also means more spacious interior proportions, which allows for reclining rear seats, adjustable ambient lighting, and even a glass roof with optional electrochromic functionality, which lets users adjust their desired transparency. Additionally, rear passengers can also adjust functions such as media playback and climate control thanks to a secondary display located between the front seats. As with most cars these days, there's an integrated infotainment system on board which runs on Google's Android Automotive OS and the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. This setup includes a 15.4-inch display, with built-in support for Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play as well. Sound is handled by a Harman Kardon audio system, an optional add-on that comes with 12 speakers and a 1,400-Watt channel-hybrid amplifier. Two headrest speakers are added to each front seat with the optional Nappa Pack, and Apple CarPlay is included as well. In terms of speed and power, the Polestar 4 can achieve a 0-63 mph sprint in just 3.8 seconds, with a maximum power output of 400 kW/544 hp. Dual and single-motor versions of the car will be available, with the latter featuring rear-wheel drive. The dual-motor version meanwhile will come with a semi-active suspension system, and wheels will be available in 20 to 22-inch sizes. Both long-range versions will also run on a 102 kWh battery. The Long range Dual motor variant features 400 kW (544 hp), 686 Nm and a preliminary range target of up to 350 miles WLTP, with a disconnect clutch that allows the car to disengage the front electric motorwhen not needed. Up to 200 kW DC and 22 kW AC charging is included for all versions, with a motorised charge lid. There's also bi-directional charging onboard, with vehicle-to-load capability that enables external devices to charge off the car. There's also a new drive optimisation function that lets drivers choose between range orperformance driving modes, although this will be exclusive to the Long range Dual motor version. Meanwhile, Performance mode sharpens up responsiveness from the powertrain and engages both motors at all times for full power and performance. Range mode on the other hand prioritises efficiency, adapting the powertrain to a calmer style and forces use of only the rear motor. The Long range Single motor version features a 200 kW (272 hp) and 343 Nm motor at the rear and preliminary range target of up to 372 miles WLTP. As for safety, the Polestar 4 will feature up to nine airbags inside the vehicle, as well as a driver assistance system courtesy of Mobileye. This includes a setup of 12 cameras, a radar, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, including a driver monitoring camera which relays data (without video recording) and tracks movements to avoid fatigue-caused accidents and such. A 10.2-inch driver display is mounted ahead of the steering column which works in tandem with a heads-up display (HUD) with 14.7-inch projection area in front of the driver which provides access to telephony features and navigation information. The Polestar 4 will also feature different equipment packs which are optional. These include: - The Plus Pack which comprises comfort and technology upgrades - The Plus Pro Pack adds a colour-coded body execution, electrochromic glass roof and additional interior illumination - The Nappa Pack can be specified in addition to the Plus Pack, and includes animal welfare-secured Nappa leather upholstery with ventilation, massage and additional headrest speakers for the front seats - The Pilot Pack includes Pilot Assist and its extended features. - The Performance Pack increases the performance look and driving experience of the Long range Dual motor version, with 22-inch wheels, 4-piston Brembo brakes, Polestar-Engineered performance chassis tuning and Swedish gold details for the brakes, seat belts and valve caps In terms of availability, Polestar plans a full-scale launch for several markets including Europe, North America and Asia Pacific in 2024, with sales and production ramping up for said regions through the course of the year, with more details to follow. Pricing ranges from around EUR 60,000/USD 60,000/GBP 55,000. Read the full article
Allie Bailey - Ultra runner, Running 1,000+ miles from Lands End to John O’Groats in 35-days
Allie spent a lot of her life seeking approval from people she thought were cool, believing that in order to be successful, you had to act a certain way. For her, success is seeing someone who doesn't believe they can do something transform into someone who does.
After working for major record labels for 12 years, Allie realised that music, which she had once loved, was slowly killing her. Her dream career had turned her into a nightmare, and she was completely lost. Allie has struggled to find her place and suffers from depressive demons, anxiety, and existential misery.
After taking part in the inaugural Rat Race Test Pilot trip to Mongolia in 2018, she realised it was the first time she had truly had time to stop, think, and be completely at peace. Fast forward, after three and a half years, numerous journeys, a pandemic, some questionable decisions, and a lot of planning and running, Allie is now coaching other people to do amazing things.
Allie holds several world firsts to her name, including running across Mongolia's Lake Khovsgol and crossing the Namib Desert twice. Allie is the first woman to run the entire length of the Panama Canal. She has also run the length of the Outer Hebrides, crossed Scotland on packraft and foot several times, and completed over 100 marathons and 60-70 ultramarathons, including nine 100-mile plus races.
Allie started running 10 years ago and have only being doing the ultra thing for 6 years, but she absolutely love it. It's a game changer. Allie believes that it is something that anyone of any age and from any background can participate in.
Allie has been extremely lucky to have discovered something she truly enjoys doing, and her favorite thing in the entire world is seeing people achieve things they never thought were possible
2019 Hyundai Ioniq: A Sijo Review
youtube
Welcome to my review of the Hyundai Ioniq Electric (16) Flatly Spoken in Sijo, The Korean form of Haiku. (15) Korean haikus have longer stanzas and more syllables (15) (46)
===== Last spring I acquired this two thousand nineteen Hyundai Ioniq Since then, I've racked up Thirty thousand miles in adventures The car has fared quite well despite the hell I've put it through. ===== twenty nineteen's most efficient vehicle was Ioniq The tax credit made the electric cheaper than the hybrid The mainstream, affordable, boring, and bland E V has arrived ===== Despite the low price, it features impressive engineering the forced air thermal management system is highly effective which enables the twenty nine minute D C fast charge time ===== Every Korean appliance sings you a song on start or stop thankfully Ioniq doesn't play thirty second interludes That would go against its inoffensive and compliant nature ===== inoffensive design exemplified with the battery gauge lacks a percentage reading to quell range anxiety The gauge has blocks in white and red like every other Hyundai ===== Thirteen percent charge triggers Ioniq's low battery warning it is represented by the last two red blocks on the gauge Lone red block triggers tortoise mode, charge battery  A S A P ===== The dash board layout and color scheme differ between drive modes Normal uses blue hues, Sport uses Orange, and Eco is green also, regeneration can be customized For each mode ===== Hyundai E Vs regenerative braking is unique Paddle shifters let you select: none, low, medium, or high It acts like manual transmission coasting and engine braking ===== With regeneration disabled, A peculiar thing happens The car rolls backwards like a manual transmission Enable auto hold to prevent creeping and keep it still on hills ===== Configure the regeneration to highest level brake lights auto deploy when the accelerator is released Timed right, this will give you a one pedal driving experience ===== avoids sensationalism, unremarkable materials claims Car and Driver regarding the Hyundai's interior But the materials are on par with Mazda and Toyota ===== Blending into the crowd, very few notice this electric Hyundai Mainstream means bland, boring, which best describes Ioniq The ideal rental, ride share, or corporate fleet vehicle ===== tire rack sells A set of tires for less than three hundred bucks twenty six dollar cabin air filter is a D I Y job Good Windshield Wiper blades run a little over forty dollars ===== The L E D tail lights are cool, but the halogen head lights suck The Base Cloth seats lack of lumbar on long trips leads to back aches The Charge port resides in an inconvenient spot, but has a light ===== A seven inch infotainment system is standard equipment It supports Android auto and Apple CarPlay  mirroring The system will lower fan speed if using Google Assistant ===== infotainment system manages several schedules The departure climate control and time of use charging control It also displays energy consumption and history ===== auto defogging system eats up range, thanks resistive heater The car must be plugged in for scheduled climate control to work The Virtual Engine Sound System keeps pedestrians safe ===== The twelve volt auxiliary battery is a weak link So Under-powered that hybrid models have a jump start button The electric got Aux Battery Saver Plus and free towing ===== I have a black car hex, and it has infected the poor Hyundai smashed the driver side mirror, then, Two accidents, front and rear, Let's not Forget the twelve volt failed and D C fast charge lock broke ===== The dealership experience was the only silver lining Any Hyundai dealer with hybrids can service the electric The Ioniq can be serviced in more states than it is sold =====
Would I buy it again? Probably. I loathe front wheel drive though. Has it been a good car? Absolutely has been a good car I'd buy another Hyundai, but I want it to be all wheel drive ===== My name is Chris Maxwell, and you can call me the ecodweeb I aim to create informative and useful E V content I will see you next time, please don't forget to like and subscribe
