Aspheera from Ninjago is not freed. She has never been freed, and should never become freed. Nothing against freed people, but she has been entombed for 1000+ years. We all grew up with Aspheera and why would we let them change her for absolutely zero reason? The new writer should just create a new character that is freed, not rewrite one of the best lego characters in history. Sign this petition if you agree that Aspheera should stay entombed. Once we reach a good amount of people who have signed, I will not contact the new writer because it really isn't that deep, man.

thought too hard about crystalized and realized that zane keeping his emotions turned off even after they got nya back probably had a Lot to do with the fact that he just had to witness aspheera in the exact same room with the exact same staff as when he got banished ... like hello if i had to have that trauma resurfaced id probably keep my emotions off too goddamn.

if he was feeling emotions during this arc i think he wouldve ended up with this crazy inner turmoil over the decision between keeping aspheera locked away vs saving nya. like, originally the whole reason he turned his emotions off was because of nya's loss— even after everything else he's been through, that was just the last straw. and then suddenly they're all finding out that there is a way to get her back! yay! but in the same minute the conclusion is drawn that the only way to do so is to free aspheera. fucked up

in his normal state, despite the trauma, he'd probably make himself cope for nya's sake given his personality, but the distress would still set him back and he knows that logically

so he keeps his emotions off, following what the team was doing and carrying out his duties robotically, to spare himself the distress as well as to help the plan go smoother for everyone. he knows how important it is to get nya back and knows his feelings regarding aspheera would only further lower his productivity

this one goes out to the fic authors who do canon rewrites. what would the early crystalized arc look like if zane had kept his emotions on?
