Been thinking about Jay doing shatterspin;

To me Nokt is supposed to look like Some of the guys we meet in the island arc and it makes me wonder if his element will be something relating to lightning.

When he finds out Jay can control lightning He will basically became a tutor for Jay and take him under his wing because I’m sure he can teach Jay more than just shatterspin

I wonder if Nokt is gonna teach him something about combining elements with shatterspin technique.

Essentially the more destructive an element is by nature the more powerful the “Elemental shatterspin”.

And wouldn’t you know it, Jay is the master of 1.32 megavolts.

When Jay finds out how much of an ass Ras is he will try to get Nokt out of Rass control.

he’d either put on a wolf mask and do shatterspin or Nokt would’ve already taught him it and we’ll get a parallel to the “Kai learns dragon rising technique” scene.

and he will body the absolute shit out of Ras while Cinder just watches in awe and Is like “yo how the fuck is he doing that”.

Jays shatterspin would essentially be a recreation of the demon core.

Oh and you can probably throw in a “Jay is in disguise fighting Cole and Nya who think he’s dead because some asshat Ras hired has his powers, so they will not hold back against him and neither will he”.

Ronin’s “if Nya asks, tell her it’s because I care” line at the end of the crooked path was so good, and I really wish they’d followed through on that statement with her true potential scene. Like, Ronin kinda spends the season telling Nya she just needs to care less and that will solve everything, and when Nya starts to finally get a hold of her powers they imply this is why, and…idk. I can see what they were trying to do with this, and that it was supposed to be more about getting over a need for perfection and a fear of failure, but it kind of came across more as ‘just don’t give a shit and everything will be fine,” which is basically the attitude Nya is carrying in the immediate following episode. (I also think that deciding that Nya’s biggest flaw being that she gives up quickly when she’s not good at something when in the very first ep of season one we see her going at the training course again and again despite her failures is a bit silly, but that’s a different post). I think the best solution would have been to give her a moment where she realizes that the solution isn’t to not care at all or to care too much, to the point where the fear of making a mistake is paralyzing, but to maybe… find a middle ground? Learn to let go of the fear of messing up while still holding onto the determination that makes her so capable. I don’t have an exact solution but I would have really loved to see a scene at the end of the season where Nya gets to tell Ronin that he was wrong, that the answer was never not to care but to let her capacity for caring fuel her rather than chain her down.

#then ronin could be like ‘you know i might have figured the same thing out myself’ or smth idk i’m just rambling now #this duo was a really fun part of season five #i just wish they’d fleshed this plot line out a bit more and thought more about the implications #ninjago #ninjago possession #nya ninjago

thinking about ninjago s6,,, specifically nadakhan and his relationship with his crew.

i just think it’s so interesting and also think it’s bull crap that he never cared for nor wanted them. first of all, jay was also under the assumption that he didn’t actually care about delara which he very obviously does, as we can see in ep10. and jay was also just trying to escape and was using any advantage he had—his voice was his biggest advantage at the time. but it was around the time jay came to the conclusion that nadakhan didn’t care about delara when he told flintlocke that nadakhan was just using him…

see, in ep2 after retrieving the realm crystal, nadakhan spends the night having fun with his crew and they all seem genuinely happy to be there! clancee himself states multiple times that he has no reason to wish for anything and that he best fits in with and feels welcomed with the crew. they’re singing and dancing and having fun… and when nadakhan says he’s going home, he invites them all with. he had every intention of bringing them with him not as servants or underlings but friends…

i can’t help but wonder what would have been different had delara not been dead. had the cursed realm not been destroyed, thus destroying djinjago in response.

because the thing is: it’s after he gets the sword and swears revenge when nadakhan begins hiding things from his crew. it’s then when he becomes more and more desperate. the further the season goes, the more jay pisses him off and thwarts him, the angrier and more desperate he becomes. you could call it a corruption of power, the things we do / give up for love, or even recklessness due to strong emotions.

when it comes to the crew’s betrayals, i really think jay planting the seed is what did it. flintlocke was already upset that nadakhan wasn’t sharing plans with him

nadakhan would’ve kept his crew around had the desperation not grown as terribly as audrey two and consumed him, had clancee not whispered to jay where the venom was. i honestly believe jay thought he was speaking the truth. if s6 emphasizes anything, it's that words are powerful. jay used his words to win in the end and to plant the seeds that eventually overtook and defeated nadakhan.

nadakhan seemed to have lost faith in his friends and that was his biggest downfall and that is what made him lose everything in the end. like yes, he's the villain and tbh i'm glad jay and the ninja won, but gosh if it doesn't just break my heart as i watch him slowly lose faith in his friends/team throughout s6 and how they probably wouldn't have even become proper villains had delara not died,,,
