How to Watch the Entire Ninjago Series For Free in a completely Legal way!
Tumblr media
Hey, I know this isn't usually a Ninjago blog, But I have something cool to show you Ninjago fans. Me and my brother regularly watch Ninjago together and it wasn't until recently I found out that some Ninjago fans are having a hard time watching the full series because of streaming. So I'm going to show you all how me and brother watch the full series completely free! With no illegal downloads or sketchy sites. This could also be helpful for those just getting into the series. Enjoy!
First head to Tubi! They have seasons 1 through 7! Everything from the pilots to Hands of Time.
Next, head to Pluto! They have seasons 8 and 9. Sons of Garmadon and Hunted!
Next head to Cartoon Network Asia! Don't be fooled by the title. The episodes ARE in English. They have seasons 10 through 15. March of the Oni, Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitsu: Fire Chapter, Secrets of Forbidden Spinjitsu: Ice Chapter, Prime Empire and Master of the Mountain! Although, a chronological list of the episodes order may by ideal, since a few are out of order on the site.
Finally, head to YouTube, for seasons 16 through 18. The Island, Seabound, and Crystalized.
And you're done! Now you can watch Dragons Rising properly reminded of all that came before. Happy watching!

(Not dissing any season, just going off what I’ve noticed online, I am making no comment on any season)
Not including Crystalized cause then entire poll would be just THAT
Also if you’d like to, I’d love to hear what an improved version of these seasons would look like

So I recently re-watched The Island special-
How does the whole 'Gift of Jay' thing go down in the Cabinet Man AU? I've seen some cool concepts that the food Jay was given was like... mildly drugged so he was more loopy/pacified for the sacrifice (as well as a small mercy so he wouldn't feel the pain of Wojira)
And I'm curious- any plans to add some extra storm-connections to the Island/Seabound because of the purple lightning and Wojira's connections to storms?
first part of this - Gift of Jay is funny because Jay's already used to being seen as an idol so he does have an "ohohoho wow i'm so popular even people who haven't HEARD of me know i'm a celebrity~" but he does get more anxious than normal about the others being taken from him. it takes a bit more flattery to convince him not to freak out when he's separated from the others. i could totally see him being drugged and loopy and i might go that route but... let's just say he won't exactly like it when he realizes he's been drugged as a certain villain that i'm sure we can guess does it to him prior to this (not elaborating but jay recognizes when he's being drugged now huehue)
and YES GOD YES OKAY i'm not gonna go too deep into it cuz this post will get so long but there will absolutely be connections between wojira and the purple lightning, it was such a missed opportunity in the show and with the way i want to handle jay's element it'll be verrry relevant
like come ON ninjago you can't do this and then not have there be a bigger connection:
LIKE
HE CLEARLY WAS AFFECTED BY IT

GASP you have an “The Island” rewrite idea? TELL US EVERYTHING—
The Ninjago comics have some great ideas of other things that could have happened (like a boat race over lightning waters, a motorcycle escape from baby dragons, more on Misako’s pre-special adventures on the Island, etc.) but I’m so curious about your rewrite ideas :D
When we first got the trailer for The Island, I lowkey thought they were gonna take the "Misako goes missing and Lloyd tries to find her" premise and use it to at least briefly touch on their relationship. Which I was...cautiously optimistic for. Lord knows how badly Misako needs an actual character arc.
So that's the core of what I'd do with an Island rewrite. Use that plotline the facilitate a narrative about the past complications of their relationship, as well as Lloyd's fear of being abandoned/left alone.
For a long time, I've had this scene idea in my brain of Misako and Lloyd being lost in a labyrinthine cave full of strange glowing stone, and she explains that the reason she'd been seeking out the island is because of rumors that this very cave had the power to reveal secret information. However, the danger of the cave is that few people are ever able to leave it alive, as it traps most who enter. She reluctantly hoped the cave could tell her where she went wrong, what she did wrong - she did everything she could to prevent the Final Battle, but it happened anyway. She wanted to know if there was anything at all that she could've done to change that, or if her family was doomed from the start. This is also why Wu joined her for this expedition - he wanted those answers too.
As they walk through the cave in search of a way out, Lloyd asks more about her motives: how she knew he was the Green Ninja, why she left Lloyd at Darkleys of all places, and most importantly why she never came back for him even to visit. She explains herself, with the stones and stalagmites of the cave glowing as they reflect memories from her past. And finally, they have a little bit of closure from this conversation. It is then that they learn the cave only lets you leave once you have accepted the truth of the information you sought, hence why so few people ever escape - most people cant reconcile the harsh truths this cave confronts them with. Misako accepts that there was nothing she could have done to prevent destiny and Lloyd works through some of his abandonment issues, prompting the cave to set them free so they can go join the rest of their friends in the big climactic battle.
Idk. I may also include a scene like that in another fic or something. We'll see, I guess.
Also, I'd probably change the uh. Troublingly stereotypical human sacrifice depictions for the Keepers. And also just like, give Mamatus more of an actual character and personality. Maybe the islanders arent the villains but allies! Perhaps the rewrite focuses more so on Ronin as an antagonist - while also providing more in-character rationalization for his actions. Because while I do like the idea of Ronin as a villain, it feels a bit odd to have him go from a morally grey ally who at least sympathizes with the ninja even when he's not on their side, to a generically roguish villain. Let's dive into what prompted him to pursue such a high-scale crime!
Also, the keepers and Wojira talk may also prompt more discussion about some creation mythology and lore, Wojira's past and reign of terror before the FSM and Nyad came along, to really hammer in why they're so afraid of her. This would add some more setup for Seabound, as well as preemptively establish Wojira as a truly terrifying threat.
I can't say I have a thorough outline for what exactly the rewrite would look like, mostly just a few loose ideas here and there, but that's the general gist of what I've got so far!

I just had a MASSIVE realization about Ronin's actions during The Island.
Looking at all of Ronin's other actions throughout the series, he always seems to have some kind of proper motivation. During Possession, it was paying a debt to free his cursed soul. During Skybound, he captured the ninja so his criminal slate could be cleared. By the time season 7 has rolled around, he has a pawn shop and he seems to have mostly settled down.
So what was his motivation during The Island? Money? That didn't make much sense to me at all. Sure, he likes cash, but what was he going to do with it? He'd been bounty hunting, he already had a source of income. He was turning things around in his life. So what changed? It didn't add up.
Unless, of course, we take these lines from Garmadon into consideration:
Upon being asked, during episode 20 of Crystallized, how he knew the Overlord would return, Garmadon answers this:
"I may have trouble understanding empathy, but anger and hatred are simple. I felt them growing all around me."
Judging by the fact that, despite seeming angry and hateful towards the ninja in the beginning of Crystallized, he later on defends them and makes the choice to help them, then the Overlord's influence on greater Ninjago realm could have gotten to him, too.
Ronin specifically tells Lloyd that not everyone can be a hero- that's the kind of thing that somebody angry and filled with hatred towards the world would say.
Notice how anger and hatred are not only the specific things he likely feels in the time before the Overlord makes his return, but also the specific things Garmadon points out as being symptoms of the Overlord's growing power. Maybe he wasn't directly targeted, sure, but Wu received a lot of newspaper clippings. Ronin wasn't the only one to be particularly crime-filled during that window of time.
Once the Overlord finished gaining his own vessel, his influence on Ninjago itself waned because he was more concentrated in a single location. It explains why so many Kryptarium prisoners were willing to follow Ronin when it came to helping the ninja- they weren't being powered by the growing anger and hatred anymore.
Sorry if this post seems stupid, I had an epiphany and I felt the need to make it. It seems logically sound to me, but I know not everybody will agree. I also haven't watched The Island in a while so bear with me please!
