head in my hands thinking about that stream last july when holly brought jerma donuts i'm so sick about it. that on top of her publicly following a feeder, j standing out front and shoving his gut out obnoxiously during the break of name your price. there's not even a question in my mind anymore she's sitting him down every night and stuffing him until his stomach is swollen

...and that was when i was just figuring out the sicko circle too. <3. what comes to mind for me is the tierlist stream and how that felt like extended foreplay for the most part, with h0lly behind the camera giggling, goading, and j absolutely surrounded.. i have another post on here during a nintendo labo making stream where he was doing that same gut thing. he makes me so sick. i hope his metabolism curbs him and he feels lost in his near-constant lethargy to his younger partner who spryly feeds him.

also, about donuts, they are one of the sexiest feeder foods out there. being an active feeder makes this ask so much more special.

DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK!!

I was never...uh yeah well, hmm I guess 5 1/2 years away could technically be considered gone but you know what they say: “You have to go away to come back.” But wait, that’s what I just said to to not call this *whew* ok great start! 

So what’s happened in the world of Nintendo and Horror Movies and Batman and Godfather’s Pizza since the last time yours truly made a post? Way too much to go into in one entry for sure so I’ll just go ahead and bullet point a few of the biggies:

While the Wii U was home to plenty of great exclusive 1st party software, a confusing marketing message (”WTF!? Is this new damn Wii controller really $300!?” cried the parents at the register) resulted in a hard sales crash and burn for the company. But that’s ok because Nintendo is now sitting pretty with the Switch which is also home to plenty of great exclusive 1st party software (a good chunk of those being Wii U ports!). 

An all Horror film streaming service called Shudder was introduced to the world and yep, instantly bought by Amazon. It’s a pretty well curated platform with the obvious selling point being that every full season of both Tales From the Darkside and Monsters are available. Not having the greatest internet connection means that I’m not much of a streamer. But that’s ok because you know I’ve got those hard copy DVD sets at the ready.

Some moron decided it would be a good idea to cast that asshole from Fashionable Male as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the first ever live action crossover film with Superman. But that’s ok because the character is being rebooted again only with Daredevil in the role this time. Wait a minute...that guy played Daredevil too! Pardon me, my nose always begins to bleed a little thinking about this stuff.

Godfather’s Pizza. What can I say other than it finally happened. But that’s gonna have to be its own post soon here I think because I have some dang words to throw at that entire experience. 

If you’re curious about what else I’ve been up to since then, well there are a few write ups in the last several years that went up on the old Nintendorks site (read my thoughts on  Castlevania: Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon and Nintendo Labo why don’tcha!) And I also got bit hard by the amiibo bug and wound up taking...shall we say, elaborate pictures with them for an Instagram account called Nintendo f/64 (example above). So please enjoy that content.

And as for the elephant in the room, isn’t it adorable?

I mean, yes my old site Shigeru’s List that became Posts & Goblins is no more. Which means a lot of the links on this page are broken. But y’know what? A lot of them aren’t and we’re here to move forward with all new stuff to yap about anyway!

The Tea Times - April 2019

The month of showers has passed us by and with it, the usual share of controversies. Borderlands 3 has generated a good chunk of it, which is why it’s being compressed down into its own category. The epic store continues its much detested march as well. Other than that, there’s a couple of things that caught my eye, release wise, though it’s fairly bare at the moment. Such is the way this early in the year. Everyone’s gearing up for the summer.

The Releases

Mortal Kombat 11 is probably the largest title to be released this month, though it’s one I honestly know very little about. The hugely popular (and hugely violent series) its continuing its march onwards and it looks incredible. While I know nothing about fighting games, Mortal Kombat 11 seems to push for greater graphics while scaling down the rampant sexualisation that was a cornerstone of the series. Maybe they’re growing up. Mortal Kombat 11 released on the 22nd of April.

Katana Zero is a game I’ve had an eye on for a while. Its soundtrack caught my attention first, followed shortly by its aesthetic and its neo-noir style. It seems to have a very fast pace and skillful combat, focusing on movement. The world looks interesting too and I will almost certainly be picking it up come payday. The fact that it’s made by Askiisoft, who were behind the simple and beautiful Tower of Heaven, is icing on the cake. Katana Zero was released on the 18th April.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a collection of three excellent visual novels that have cemented themselves into pop culture. I’ve no doubt you’ve heard Objection! Being thrown about, which comes from this series. The cases in them are a bit hit and miss, particularly in the second game, but the overarching story threads and the final cases in particular showcase some great writing, puzzle solving and detective skills. The series comes to PC and console with a new coat of paint but the same wacky characters. It was released on the 9th April.

The Announcements

Octopath Traveler, an excellent if somewhat overstuffed game, is coming to PC, in an announcement I didn’t see coming at all. PC is not a great hotbed for jRPGs but the huge following Octopath Traveler received makes it a good candidate. It will be on Steam on the 7th June, so you can rack up over a hundred hours on it.

Darkborn, an unusual looking game where you play as a small, not-so-helpless monster was announced this month. It looks to be a revenge story against a horde of angry norsemen who tear your monstrous family apart. Painting the humans as the enemies is an interesting move, not least because it’s going to be pretty bloody. Seeing our fellow monsters strung up and butchered is going to be strange when it’s usually the humans as the good guys. There’s no release date yet, but it may be one to watch.

As is CHERNOBYLITE, a survival horror experience that puts players into a 3D-scanned recreation of Chernobyl’s exclusion zone. Chernobyl has long since been a source of mystery and horror, as the radiation keeps people out but fuels imaginations. I’ve no doubt that there will be some S.T.A.L.K.E.R influence there too. The Pre-Alpha looks promising, if understandably rough around the edges, and the stretch goals indicate that they’re hoping to expand their area. An explorable, real life chernobyl sounds incredibly. It’s currently on Kickstarter.

The Borderlands 3 Run-Down

A lot of Borderlands news has been trickling through this month, so let’s try and get through it. Firstly, Borderlands 3 now has a concrete release date, which is September 13th 2019. That’s not that far away, which would be a good thing if it weren’t confirmed to be a six-month Epic Store exclusive. It’s not liable to change either, given Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford’s love for the store. For my thoughts on the Epic Store, please see most of last month.

This has generated a sizable amount of controversy. Notably, people have been slamming Borderlands 2 on Steam, which makes it a nice new test for Steam’s updated review system. This is a strange move by Borderlands fans, which may indicate a lack of any meaningful way to get their feelings across. Gearbox and Epic aren’t listening and that means explosions of unhelpful behaviour.

Furthermore, controversy was generated when Rhys, a character from Tales of the Borderlands, was shown to be in Borderlands 3 but not voiced by his original actor, Troy Baker. Baker has gone on twitter stating he was never even offered the role, while Randy Pitchford claimed he turned it down. It’s all a little confusing.

On the plus side, it’s been confirmed you can have different loot streams so you don’t have to share guns. That’s nice.

At Least Its Not The Virtual Boy

A while back, Nintendo announced the evolution of its Nintendo Labo cardboard thing-a-majig. Surprisingly, it was VR, being a set of goggles that you can slide the switch into. This isn’t unprecedented, of course, though Nintendo’s previous attempt at VR, the Virtual Boy, flopped hard. Hopefully the Labo does a bit better. They’ve announced support for both Super Mario Odyssey and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Mario Odyssey seems like a highway to nausea but either way, it’s a step in an interesting direction.

Iraq Bans Online Battle Games

Iraq’s parliament voted this month to ban popular online battle games, which includes things like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite. The reason being that they have a ‘negative’ influence on their population, particularly in the younger players. The country is currently dealing with repercussions from its recent, bloody history and there are a lot of key issues with corruption and infrastructure, which has led this ban to come under fire for misplaced priorities.

The lawmakers were only sworn in last September, making this ban one of their first pieces of legislation. It’s too early to see what comes of this ban but as I’ve no idea of the climate in Iraq at the moment, I can’t say whether this is a good move or a poor one. Time will tell, I guess.

Sony Cracks Down On Sexual Content

Sony is apparently working on some image control, as they brought in their own in-house guidelines about what content is allowed on their platform, bypassing external rating systems such as ERSB. While the rules are unclear, a spokesperson speaking to the Wall Street Journal said the rules would help “offer well-balanced content” that won’t “inhibit the sound growth and development” of its consumers. What exactly that means is rather unclear.

It’s likely a PR move, as Sony tries to distance itself from sexual content out of fear of legal action and social outcry. This does seem worrying for developers, as they will likely have to crowbar in censorship to cover anything that Sony doesn’t like.
