❦ i know i told my self that i was gonna stop myself from future spouse information but i didnt want to keep this to myself!
❦ so i was talking to my close friends in discord about in-laws, i asked them that there has to be a house that represents the in-laws, and one of them responded with the 9th house, so i was like hm that's interesting, i have virgo in jupiter in the 9th house so that meant that i'll have luck with them but they might be trying to identify any red flags.
❦ one of my friends looked at their mother's 9th house and it has cancer, and her father has a cancer sun.
❦ my soulmate has aquarius in her 9th house and her future spouse has aquarius moon.
❦ beyonce has gemini in her 9th house and jay z has a gemini mc, jay z has taurus in his 9th house and beyonce has chiron in taurus.
❦ blake lively has aries in her 9th house and ryan has aries chiron, ryan has taurus in his 9th house and blake is a taurus mc
❦ prince harry has libra in the 9th house and meghan markle has libra moon, meghan markle has pisces in the 9th house and prince harry has pallas in pisces
❦ john legend has libra in his 9th house and chrissy teigen has mars in libra, chrissy teigen has leo in the 9th house and john legend has jupiter in leo
❦ david beckham has capricorn in his 9th house and victoria beckham has capricorn lilith, victoria beckham has aquarius in her 9th house and david beckham has aquarius fortune.
❦ you see the pattern? so this could mean that the person you're going to "marry" is going to have a placement that holds the sign in your 9th house, the same thing would be applied to them, their 9th house would have a sign that'll be in one of your placements.
bye, pluto! ❦

I’m not a Professional Astrologer so some of this might be inaccurate. Take all of this with an grain of salt. Do not self-diagonse with any of this information. If you are paranoid with this, please ignore this post. If you’re having any medical problems, please consult an docter and not an Astrologer.
Medical Astrology, otherwise known as iatromathematics in ancient Greece. It is an ancient medical system that is related to multiple parts of the body and diseases with the 12 zodiac signs. In ancient times, people actually used Medical Astrology to determine their sickness at times. The signs are assigned to each part of the body. Physicians diagnose an illness would look at the constellation that the moon came in when the patient first became ill. They would then look at astrological predictions and associations and then make a diagnosis. All of this was very important until the end of the 18th century. The first picture shows the 12 signs of the zodiac being assigned to a body part, as well it goes to the second one. The third one however, is a picture of astrological dates associating with medicine.

Pluto and Mars are connected to “hardly escaping death” when in the Eight House.
Side note: “Death” in the Eight House is always looked as metaphorically.
Second House is related to how you speak. For example, Mars in the Second House could lead you to speaking more impulsively or they may have swore a lot during their childhood.
Twelfth House is related to dreams, the unseen realm, etc. Dreams is associated from the brain. If afflicted, could cause some anxiety since the Tweflth House likes to be “hidden.”
Twelfth House is also communicated with how you sleep. Taurus means you have no troubles falling asleep while Gemini over here means thinking constantly a lot before sleeping.
It is not advisable to have an surgery when Mars or Mercury is in Retrograde. Mostly because Mars is relating to sudden accidents, and it could lead to blood loss. Mercury in Retrograde could lead to the surgery to simply mess up.

sometimes i think about gideon nav standing up on a broken leg and fighting a lyctor alone, just to survive as long as possible. she knew there was no way out but she did it anyway to protect cam and harrow. jesus christ. that's her. she gives her all and never expects anything in return. i think about how she well and truly believed that the others were incapacitated and she was alone and then suddenly harrow was stepping up, dead on her feet, telling one of the emperor's fists and gestures to 'step off, bitch'. to her face. insanity! harrow said "you are not dying alone" and she meant it. harrowhark nonagesimus, who is more than herself--who is herself plus the 200 ninth house children, who is too expensive to die--harrow looked at gideon nav on the ground in front of a lyctor and said, you are worth it. you are worth fighting for, you are worth dying for. you are worth more than the future of my entire house. so much to the point where she was going to use herself as distraction bait to give gideon and cam an opening to leave. and gideon still believes harrow doesn't love her back. what the hell. what the hell.

The Literary Tarot Kickstarter is live!
I’m so excited to finally share this with you all! I’ve been working on it for months and it’s wild that we’re finally at the launch day!
The Literary Tarot is a collaboration between many, many incredible writers, each one of whom paired a work of classic literature with a traditional tarot card that reflected the same themes. For example, Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid’s Tale) paired Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre with the Queen of Light to explore the levels of consciousness. Leigh Bardugo (Ninth House and Shadow and Bone) chose Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Secret Garden through the Ace of Parchment. Patrick Rothfuss (The Name of the Wind) pairs Don Quixote with The Fool. The result is a gorgeous, eclectic deck with characters from every possible genre, brought to full-color, foil-accented life. On the Kickstarter Page you can see more of the cards, as well as the writers who made the choice, and the reasoning behind it!
Each suit is illustrated by a different artist: Shan Bennion (@anonbea) illustrates the Suit of Light, Isabel Burke (@flightlessartist) the Suit of Quills, Bradley Clayton the Suit of Parchement, Ejiwa ‘Edge’ Ebenebe the Suit of Ink, and myself the Major Arcana! You can see more about each artist, and others involved in the project, on the Creators Page!
Lastly! Beyond being a beautiful deck, all support of the Literary Tarot funds Brink Literacy Project, who aim to change the world through storytelling - they run great programs in max-security women’s prison, homeless shelters, and low-income high schools, using storytelling to stop cycles of poverty, discrimination, and incarceration. You can read more about their mission here; it’s meaningful work, and the Literary Tarot deck’s success will support it.
Check it out here!

On all levels except physical, I am reading an AU of GTN where this is no [REDACTED] and everyone instead just gets to hang out with each other and talk about how weird their respective houses are.
Panel 1: Abigail, Ianthe and Dulcinea are talking with each other. Abigail is holding a cup of tea and a saucer with a macaron, and she is saying "I survived an assasination attempt on my 19th birthday." Ianthe is unimpressed, and replies. "Amateur. In third house, we survive one assasination attempt every day before breakfast." Dulcinea looks amused at this and replies, "Seventh House would love that! We think assasination is the third most romantic way of dying."
Panel 2: The Second House and Sixth House are playing chess. Judith has taken Pal's queen but doesn't realize he's already on his way to checkmating her. Judith says "In second house, we join the army as early as ten years old." Pal looks amused and replies, "In sixth house, we don't care about the emperor's war, but we do have an entire section of the army whose purpose is to f*ck as many people as possible." Marta and Cam are standing behind their respective necromancers, and staring at each other, silently vibing.
Panel 3: Jeannemary and Gideon are arm-wrestling. Jeannemary wins and is like "Hot dog, I win!" while Gideon looks at the camera bored because she clearly let Jeannemary win. Corona is in the background looking excited and cheering them on. Isaac is also in the background, looking thoughtful because he knows Gideon clearly let Jeannemary win.
Panel 4: Harrow in all black and Silas in all pastel pink are staring each other down. Harrow says "We have a cult in the Ninth house." Silas glares at her and says "We have a cult in the eighth house too, and it's older and better than yours so f*ck you."
Panel 5: Colum looks concerned and is like "I have an uncle who's 18 years younger than me. How does that even work?" Magnus is reaching up to pat his shoulder and comfort him, and he smiles and says "Chin up, old chap. I have three mothers-in-law. It happens." Pro, meanwhile, is standing to the side, very engaged in a book he's reading, which has a black cover that has "Noniad" written on it. The caption pointing to him says "already composing a negative review in his head."

welcome to my last astro observations before my big break!
do not steal my content, i will hex :)
❦ i realised that a lot of underdeveloped libras do portray the stereotypes that are given to them, for example, cardi b, bella thorne and malu trevejo? lord hath mercy.
❦ women who have capricorn in the 8th house either like to dominate or be dominated.
❦ a cancer sun and virgo moon makes a very delicate person, they can be empaths and have very sensitive energies.
❦ the sign you have in your 7th house (house of partnerships) can tell you how your fans will be when you become famous, e.g, gemini in 7th can give someone fans who are very dual, can become serious and childish, they will be very active and talkative could even be a younger audience.
❦ having an aquarius mc in your mc persona chart means you're about to bring a change/something new to the career you want.
❦ the third house is about early education, having pisces in the third house could mean you were introduced to spirituality, religion etc at a very young age.
❦ you're most likely to share some placements with your closest friends, for example, i have moon in the 11th and one of my closest friend has the same.
❦ jupiter in the 7th house composite is an excellent placement for a life-long relationship.
❦ the most creative aquariuses have aquarius in the 5th house.
❦ having medusa in the 1st house or aspect your ascendant can make you have really nice hair, or have people want to touch your hair all the time.
❦ since taurus does rule the throat, (thyroid glans and vocal tract) having it in the 5th house is a good indicator of being a great singer. it can also indicate someone being a good cook.
❦ the 11th house shows how social media sees you, for example, i have scorpio in the 11th house and people see me as someone who is mysterious, dark, intense and chaotic.
❦ saturn in 4th house synastry could imply the house person not getting along with the saturn person's mother.
❦ wherever jupiter is in, is where you're prone into pushing yourself, e.x, having jupiter in the third house could mean you over-work yourself when it comes to studying, having jupiter in the sixth house could mean you over-push yourself when it comes to work or helping others, having jupiter in the ninth house could mean you over-work yourself when it comes to research and having jupiter in the twelfth house could mean you push yourself when it comes to spiritual studying or even taking drugs.
❦ since virgo rules the 6th house, and virgo rules the waist, having a sensual sign like taurus or any water sign in the 6th house could indicate a very good belly dancer, could include having virgo in the 5th house hence that being the house of talents.
❦ it said that women who has vishakha moon are always believed to be in the illuminati, e.g, beyonce, miley cyrus, katy perry etc.
❦ in astrology, saturn is known as the planet of grandparents because of its authority and lessons it teach to people, but i believe two planets can symbolise grandparents and i give the second one to jupiter, even though they are both masculine planets i see saturn in a more masculine way so it could symbolise the grandfather whereas jupiter symbolises the grandmother.
❦ so we know how venus beautifies anything it's placed in, people with venus in the third house have very attractive siblings or relatives, people with venus in the fourth house can have a very beautiful home and mother, seventh house beautiful partners and eleventh house beautiful friends.
❦ mars makes you more passionate in whatever house it is in, it being placed in the 5th house, you are passionate about your ideas, hobbies and creativity, 9th house, you are passionate when it comes to learning different cultures, philosophies, religion and spirituality.
❦ there was a time where i wondered what ascendant olivia rodrigo was and i said she had to be a water sign because of her watery eyes but she ended up being a capricorn rising, however, what i didnt realise that a lot of capricorn have watery eyes:
(ariana grande, olivia rodrigo and megan fox)
❦ and i've noted that a lot of capricorn risings have pointy chins and it's because their symbol is literally the goat and goats are known for their long "beards".
❦ on the other hand, i've realised a lot of capricorn rising have bright eyes, like they're normally a high shade of a colour or just really shiny and goat eyes are normally very light, bright because of it's yellowish colour.
❦ another rising sign i find interesting is aqua risings, when you look into them you understand why they're considered the aliens of astrology, because they do look very outer-worldly and alien-like, many of them have eyes that are far apart and have a kind of tear drop head shape:
(rosé, nicki minaj and anya taylor joy)
❦ made me noticed a lot of aqua placements, mainly risings like to have light coloured hair.
❦ back to the aqua risings, you could see how the have the type of beauty that belongs to them? like you wont see their type of beauty on someone else, and like capricorn risings, these risings have quite a point to chin and whenever we look at aliens, they're known for their pointy chin and tear drop headshape:
❦ thank you guys for your love and support! i hope you enjoyed this and see you next time!

Hello, love your prompts!! Do you have any book recs that are similar to six of crows ( anything in the grishaverse really), vicious, basically fantasy trope with villains and heroes with a splash of romance that fall under the adult or new adult category? I’m having a hard time finding books that aren’t YA in this category. Thank you :)
I'm taking 'villains and heroes' with a pinch of salt, meaning I don't mean superheroes or supervillains necessarily. Just stories that either have an excellent antagonist, or a great enemies to friends/lovers vibe.
Firstly: if you haven't read the other works by Schwab or Bardugo, do so! They both do adult stories as well, or works that don't really fit (to my mind) in decisively either the 'adult' or 'young adult' category. I am listing some of my favourites of theirs below.
Darker Shades of Magic series by V.E Schwab
The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue, by V.E Schwab
Ninth House, by Leigh Bardugo (no romance yet, but we'll see!)
Secondly: other stories by other authors:
Sorcery of Thorns, by Margaret Rogerson
A Deadly Education (/The Scholomance series, at least so far!) by Naomi Novik
Folk in the Air series by Holly Black (it is often classed as YA, in the same way that Six of Crows/Grishaverse is often marketed as YA, but I think it has a lot of adult appeal and I have only ever read it as an adult.)
Thirdly: not fantasy, but has some of the vibes of Six of Crows/Vicious - by which I mean, tales of close friendship or romance tied with revenge, if you want to branch out of fantasy. (No pressure!)
If We Were Villains, by M.L Rio
The Secret History, by Donna Tart
Fourthly: other books that may fit the bill, that I didn't hate, but also wouldn't rave about with love, but you may still enjoy them.
We Could Be Heroes, by Mike Chen (actual superheroes!)
Finally: haven't read it yet but I WANT to and it's next on my list after my current novel, and I suspect it may fit the bill...

Something that both fascinates and delights me about Gideon and Harrow's relationship at the beginning of Gideon the Ninth is how complicated it is, and how well those first scenes set Harrow and Gideon up for the transformation their relationship undergoes later.
When Harrow finally appears after a chapter of buildup, their intimacy is immediately obvious. Their banter is practiced, and they pick through their rules of engagement and play out the scenario together like some weird mix between the hero and villian in a comic book and two children playing a very complicated but deathly serious game of tag. But what really strikes me about it, what seems really important to me that doesn't come up enough, is that Gideon's primary emotion toward Harrow in their introductory chapters is pity. Even while the very mention of Harrow makes her palms prickle, she describes Harrow as cute, sad, desperate, and completely obsessed with her. And that pity for Harrow doesn't go away in Harrow's presence. After Gideon wins their verbal sparring match and Harrow escalates to challenging her to a physical duel, Gideon feels moved by "a great wave of commingled pity and
disgust" and says that she looks like what she really is "a desperate girl younger than Gideon,
and rather small and feeble".
Harrow knows Gideon pities her. Gideon just has to stand there and smile in the face of her insults to infuriate her, and while Harrow does use that pity against her in the fight I'm very sure that the fury was real. It comes out again, much later, when all the setup in the first chapters finally pays off. This is where the story establishes what later becomes the core of the Pool Scene:
“I have tried to dismantle you, Gideon Nav! The Ninth House poisoned
you, we trod you underfoot—I took you to this killing field as my slave—
you refuse to die, and you pity me! Strike me down. You’ve won. I’ve lived
my whole wretched life at your mercy, yours alone, and God knows I
deserve to die at your hand. You are my only friend. I am undone without
It's not just Gideon saying she's sorry for Harrow there in that scene Harrow's reacting to. Gideon has pitied Harrow for a long time, and Harrow has tried to quash it. Now she knows she can't, and Gideon has won. She expects, now that their long game is over and victory is declared, Gideon will take that pity out and finally unload it, putting her out of her misery like a wounded animal. She's sad, and desperate, and completely obsessed with Gideon; exactly the way Gideon described her in chapter one. The difference now is that Gideon longer feels disgust commingled with her pity. The growing trust and understanding between them has banished that, and without it Gideon's pity becomes compassion.
The intricacy of this writing is really something else.

NavNova master post in preparation for a big Harrow Nova x Gideon Nav comic that I'm about to drop later this month. Here's every time I've drawn NavNova.
The NavNova AU is any AU wherein Cav4Cav Griddlehark happen. They're both cavs. It's great.
(My version includes Ortus being the necromancer for the Ninth House, and he brings both Gideon and Harrow to Canaan as his cavaliers primary. But obviously they're more invested in each other and everyone chills out while the Sixth unlock perfect lyctorhood. Good for them.)
So yeah, look out for more posts about NavNova h*rny comic coming soon. And if you're looking for SFW NavNova comics, then check out The Nine zine, also coming soon.

A group portrait of the characters from Ninth House, commissioned by Leigh Bardugo herself earlier this year. Group scenes like this are my nemesis (what size is furniture? does this character look tall or weirdly close? how do people sit?) but it all worked out in the end

I'm so mad I was just reshelving my books and I noticed that Gideon's personal crest on the spine of the first book incorporates elements of both the Ninth House and the First House
That's foreshadowing bitch

“One flesh -- one end.”
So, I finished Gideon the Ninth and it was real good.
I’ve been working on more NDA stuff and it’s kept me really busy. Plus depression has been kicking my butt to boot. Drawing this today felt really good... looking forward to finding my groove.

There’s few things I get more satisfaction out of on this blog than calling out shit that honestly, no one should notice, so it gives me a sort of beleaguered pleasure to check photoshop like i’m checking my watch and announce that the three high-profile snake-based cover drops from the past days/weeks that have everyone going “Lol so many snakes” in fact use the same snake. Either the same stock photo or 3D model, based on the identical shape and lighting patterns of the scales. The QUEEN OF NOTHING one had me fooled with the purple coloring, but the head and nose highlights still identifiably match the QUEEN OF THE CONQUERED snek which you can see in my highly professional mockup that took me approximately 15 seconds:
I’m not saying this is “bad”, just worth noting, although as with my Desire typeface spiel i do think blatant examples of design resource homogeny within such a small community (and in this case, within weeks of each other) are marginally embarrassing, but more than anything I’m curious how this happened! I can only assume it’s a new asset that was released on a common stock site and happened to be seen by three different designers* who rightfully all went “aw shit that’s dope gotta use that somewhere” and then promptly.... did.
(* tho both QUEEN books are published by Hachette, albeit different imprints. NINTH HOUSE is Little Brown/ Macmillan.)
