Ch. 20 - Don't you think it's kinda cute?

Bokuto looked between Tanaka, the girl, and you trying to decide if he should get involved. As soon as she had made her presence known, Tanaka had tightened his grip on you. It was almost as if he was afraid; whether it was that this newcomer would hurt you or that you would believe her, he wasn’t sure.

“Excuse me? I know you ain’t talkin’ to me.” You said, a bit of a southern twang slipping into your speech.

Bokuto froze. The last time he’d heard that accent come from your mouth, you had been screaming on the phone at someone that he never wished to be.

“Huh, are you that dumb? Who else has their hands all over the man leaning on a pickup?” The woman said, flipping her colourful ponytail over her shoulder.

Bokuto trained his eyes on you, not worrying about your safety as much as he was afraid to get caught in the crossfire. You’d closed your eyes and took a deep breath before lasering in on her again. A cocky smirk painted your face as you slid your left hand to caress Tanaka’s face.

“Oh… you mean this, man?” you said, the twang still present, but now with a more seductive tone. “Ya’ know, if my man was all over a gal like he is me, I sure as hell wouldn’t be mad at the chick caught in the crossfire. And I know I wouldn’t be calling her dumb.”

“She isn’t dumb, Yachi. And you know we aren’t dating.” Tanaka said, still pressing you into his chest.

The rest of the guys were in a similar position as Bokuto, wanting to help but not wanting to get caught in the crossfire. This kind of a confrontation had been a long time coming and none of them were looking forward to the cleanup.

“Yet, Ryu, you mean yet. I know you’ll come around one of these days.” she smiled sweetly before turning her attention back onto you. “Listen, if you’re not gonna leave him alone willingly, I’d be more than happy to make you.”

You laughed long and loud at that, honestly it unnerved the men you had now befriended. You wiped a tear before continuing, “You think you can make me? Honey, as cute as that is, you’re nothin’ but a hill of beans to me. I could send you to see your maker before you even make a fist.”

As you had spoken the smirk had settled on your face again. To solidify your point further, you’d left Tanaka’s grasp so that you could tower in front of her; face to face. The guys looked to Bokuto for any sign that he knew you could handle herself. He was no help, if anything he was in the same boat as them.

“But if you really wanna challenge me and try to prove your point, let’s race. No need for brute force, just skills,” You said, leaning into her personal space,” unless you’re afraid you’re gonna lose?”

The guys stared in awe, and the crowd that had gathered without you knowing all let out an antagonizing ‘ooooo.’ Yachi looked around for a second before pausing, realizing that no one was really cheering her on. She tacked on a determined face before turning to you with a new fury ablaze in her heart.

“You’re on, what are the stakes?”

“Pink slips.”

Another antagonistic ‘oooo’ from the crowd. A sharp intake from a few of your friends, and a blank stare from Bokuto.

Yachi chuckled, crossing her arms. “And what are you gonna be racing on, hmm?”

You looked to Bo for a split second, asking a silent permission from him. He stared at you for a second before giving a confused nod. You then looked at her and pointed directly at Bo’s bike without breaking eye contact.

“That. A 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300.”

She stared at the bike, before turning to you, and giving you a confused grimace. “That thing tops out at like, what? 115 mph?”

“Mhm, and that’s more that what I need.”

“You do realize my bike tops out at 160, right?”

“I do.”

“And you still think you’re gonna win?”

“Almost guaranteed.”

It was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop.

“If you say so.” she shrugged, walking over to her bike and butting her gear on.

“L/N Y/N YOU BETTER EXPLAIN TO ME EXACTLY WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON OR SO HELP ME-” Bokuto whisper-screamed at you as you slid your helmet on.

“Basically, I challenged her to a race cause she’s a stupid little bitch who needs to get put in her place. And if it was a fist fight she’d be dead right now, and I don’t feel like getting a teardrop tattoo this early in my life, okay?”

“Okay, fine I get that, but what does pink slips mean?”

“It means that the loser has to give the winner the deed to their ride. In this case, your bike.”

Bokuto’s eyes bulged.

“Now don’t go getting your panties in a twist, I’ve got this covered.”

“How in the hell do you have this covered???”

“I can’t get into it right now.”

“WHAT? WHY?”

“Cause I’ve gotta go hand that bitch’s ass to her on a silver platter.”

Haikyuu sleeping headcannons

I've only done a few but let me know if you want me to do any other characters. Whether it be from haikyuu or from somewhere else.

Asahi

I feel like this guy would be warm. Not like the melting you from the outside inwards but like a campfire or a fireplace. He wouldn't move if you were with him, he wouldn't dare. He'd hold you tightly but he'd be so careful. Definitely panicked the first time you guys cuddled or fell asleep together. But once he got used to it he turned into a big cuddle bear.

Daichi

To me he seems like he'd sleep like a rock. After such a tiring day with the team he'd just flop onto the bed next to you and not move, like seriously you've probably had to poke him to check he was still alive.

He'd have and arm around you or he'd be leaning on you, either way once this man is asleep it's gonna be a pain to get out. why would you want to anyways?

Hinata

We all know that he's a ray of sunshine in both optimism and energy. cuddling/sleeping with him can go one of two ways

Since he's hyperactive this could carry on into his sleep. He's definitely smacked you a few times thinking you were a volleyball in his dream. Maybe even stolen the blanket a few times. He obviously apologies if you tell him in the morning

OR. He could be all tuckered out, kinda like a sugar crash but instead of a grumpy child you get a droopy hinata (almost the same thing) coming towards you with open arms, dragging you to bed or just leaning on you right then and there if he's really exhausted. He'd definitely use you as a giant pillow and just bury his face anywhere he can. neck? no problem. chest, whether it be flat or with melons? sure he can.

Kageyama

He may not seem it with his resting bitch face but he's definitely a cuddler. He'd definitely be more like daichi, calm and barely moving, unless it was to make you mire comfortable, but let's be honest he probably dreams about volleyball just like hinata and once again...you have been mistaken for a volleyball. Prepare for a bruise.

Im leaning towards him being a big spoon but maybe if he had a bad game or practice he'd want to be comforted, but either way his arms will be around you.

Nishinoya

This man is definitely a blanket theif. Just like hinata, he's a ball of energy and moves SO much while sleeping, not only does his arms flail about but theres a few kung fu moves going on there with his legs. You've definitely woken up with bruises and a leg across your chest while he sleeps like an angel.

If there is a rare occasion where he's not moving he's clinging onto you like a koala, legs around your waist or legs, arms around your torso and head on either your stomach or chest.

Tsukishima

This salty little shit probably isn't very keen on cuddles, but just for you. He'd have an arm around you loosely, maybe even pulling you closer while he's asleep. I feel like he'd be pretty cold (not just in attitude) so he'd be a great icepack for the summer but during winter you'll have to cocoon yourself in a blanket before cuddling up to him. Once you're asleep he's probably secretly affectionate, a few soft head pats while you're completely off in dream land.

sugawara

he does like someone that gets along well with children, him being around them a lot himself, but what’s most attractive to him is someone that can make kids laugh. he loves when someone really lets their goofy side come out just to make kids smile. it gives him a good laugh too.

nishinoya

being an adventurer, nishinoya loves people that have a mind just as, if not more, open than his own. what really strikes him is when someone is actively a daredevil, willing to try anything once just because. he loves creating experiences with others, especially if they’re experiences that are once in a lifetime.

yaku

yaku is gregarious and not afraid to take up space or be loud. he laughs openly and loudly when something delights him, and something that always gets him cracking up is when someone is trying to tell a joke, but can’t stop laughing while telling it. what others might find frustrating, yaku finds very endearing, and usually even funnier than the joke itself.

aone

aone has a discerning eye when it comes to his surroundings. when he notices someone that goes out of their way to pick up trash or unpleasantries around that others may miss or ignore, he finds his heart warm. typically only he catches these eyesores, but he has a deep appreciation for any courteous soul who would also go out of their way. he wonders what other hidden delights hide in that person’s character.

oikawa

something about oikawa is drawn to strong opposition, likely because of his competitive nature. he loves when someone challenges him, and finds a lot of fun in playing games, having light-hearted debates and arguments, anything that invites someone to take him on. he sees it as a sign of confidence, and confidence is something he finds deeply attractive.

hinata

no stranger to self expression, hinata loves to find other like-minded individuals that are unapologetically themselves. especially people that don’t care who see them dancing in public if music is playing--there’s something so freeing and lovely to see someone deeply enjoying themselves and music; watching the whole ordeal could practically put him under a spell.

akaashi

having a non-stop train of thought can be an unfortunate burden for akaashi, so when he is around someone that loves to tell stories and wax poetic for hours at a time just so he can submerge his mind into someone else is soothing to him. not to mention, it gives him great opportunity to make mental notes about someone he may want to hold dear.

atsumu

he shared everything his whole life, which makes atsumu a little territorial of his things, meals, clothes, and whatever else. but something about someone that always offers to share no matter what it is really warms his heart--he’d been forced to share so much he finds it charming when someone is so willing to do that without provocation.

komori

komori can’t quite explain it. he’s really into sweaters--he loves when someone wears lots of sweaters and warm clothes, especially ones with corny patterns or graphics. as active as he is, his favorite way to unwind is a good cuddle on the couch, and it’s hard to resist nuzzling into a plush blanket or sweater.

hirugami

hirugami, despite his depth, has simple needs in a partner. he really loves people that love animals. hirugami does have a small preference for dogs above the rest, but any animal lover is more than capable of showing a side of vulnerability he really treasures. he’d also really like to play with their pets (if they don’t mind, of course.)

summary: Yuu and Y/n’s first kiss.

It was perfect.

Nishinoya had gotten mochi, placing them all on the small table as the two of you laughed at a story Nishinoya had told.

You sat there in your school uniform while he was wearing casual clothing. He had taken your jacket at the door, like a gentlemen, so at least you weren’t wearing that.

As you bit into a strawberry mochi, he started talking about volleyball practice from the previous day.

“Shoyo and Kageyama got into another disagreement, so Daichi made them run some laps. Tanaka started laughing, and Daichi had him run laps with them too.”

You grin at Nishinoya, and he shoots you a large smile. Before either of you could comprehend what was happening, he was leaning in and placing a soft kiss to your lips.

Both of your guys’ eyes fluttered shut, your cheeks warming up in a blush. When you pulled away, he gave you a confused smile.

“Why do your lips taste like that?”

You let out a small giggle, placing a hand over your mouth before smiling at him.

“It’s lip gloss, Yuu.”

His lips form an ‘O’ shape and he leans in for another kiss. He didn’t care if he seemed greedy, because in all honesty, he was.

He ended the second kiss with a popping noise, causing him to giggle and lean his head on your shoulder.

“I really like you, Y/n.”

“I really like you too, Yuu. I said yes for a reason.”

“I would hope so.”

Noshinoya’s arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you against him. If he could, without embarrassing either of you, he would pull you onto his lap, but he wasn’t sure how you would react. Being right beside you would be just fine.

“I like your lip gloss, by the way. It tastes nice.”

“It’s cotton candy flavored.”

Nishinoya made an ‘ooh’ sound before pecking your lips again.

“Tasty.”

The two of you giggled, and he smooched your cheek. He knew you would leave for home soon, getting ready for another school day tomorrow, but it was sweet. He hoped it could last forever. Or that this could happen again.

# MIYA ATSUMU

he tries not to show it, but he can get pretty jealous when he sees you with his teammates

especially when he's hosting a party and you're sat surrounded by his teammates

he'll come over and force himself between you and whoever is by your side and wrap an arm around your shoulders

"what are we talkin' about, hm?"

# NISHINOYA YUU

noya never thought he'd find himself getting jealous when he travelled with you, but he discovered just how wrong he was to think that after only a few weeks

he hates to see men from foreign countries hit on you, asking if you need someone to show you around the city

he won't be quiet about it either, the second they're coming into you he's barking about how you're both dating

so much so the men almost run away

"hey! that's my s/o! get lost! yeah, you better run!"

# HINATA SHOYO

he doesn't get jealous easily, and even when he does get jealous he's pretty calm about it

the thing that gets him jealous the most is when you're talking to kageyama, which shocks himself more than anything

when he sees you talking to kageyama alone, laughing with a wide smile, he walks over immediately

he's smiling so widely both you and kageyama are suspicious, but kageyama doesn't realise like you do what shoyo is doing

"hey, kageyama-san! feels like we haven't talked in forever!"

# KUROO TETSUROU

he is so embarrassingly obvious when he's jealous, and he's made jealous pretty easily

but nothing ticks him off more than when you spend time alone with his friends

he trusts you and them, so he knows he shouldn't be, but he just can't help it

he'll somehow hunt you down every single time and gatecrash the get-together, requesting you to stand so he can sit and you can simply sit on is knee instead

and you and his friends all know what it is he's doing, but he'll do nothing but deny

"eh? what do you mean, y/n? i saw your car outside and just wanted to say hi! now, are you going to sit or will we just go home?"

# OIKAWA TOORU

he's made easily jealous, but not a lot gets him to show just how jealous he is

the only thing that does is when he sees you conversing with (albeit rarely) ushijima

he caught you two talking once and you've never seen him more jealous, despite knowing that the two of you were close

he wraps an arm around you and smiles sickeningly at ushiwaka as he leads you away, but not before saying,

"oh, there you are, princex! ive been looking for you everywhere. come, now. i hear he's a murderer."

>> You always found it weird that Daichi would go out around midnight or almost midnight, I'm talking about 10, 11 or 12PM and then come back an hour and a half later. God you hate yourself for falling into his trap when he assures you saying, "It's required for me to patrol around the area" or "you know I'm a police officer, babe" and due to your sincere love for him, you always did understand his responsibilities.

Although you can't help but notice that every time he comes back, he smells and looks.. fresh? Like he had just taken a shower and re-used his clothes.

Maybe he did take a shower with a girl he was giving an after care for. Maybe he was patrolling the area of his girl's apartment. But you can't do anything, you don't have enough evidence.

Sugawara:

"Cause I've made some real big mistakes

Once you hung up, you drove as fast as you can to the school and came into his classroom without warning.

You saw a woman sitting on Suga's desk, while he has his right arm wrapped around her waist. The woman could only eye you up and down before turning to yell at Suga, "I thought you told them? Gosh Suga! We've been over this for what? A thousand time?!" The said woman jumped out of his grasp, pushed you aside and walked out while slamming the door behind her.

He scoffs at you before opening the door and chasing after the woman.

He left you, huh? Of course he did.

Asahi:

5:31 AM

"Hey, you have a different number? Gosh [random name] you didn't tell me sooner."

"I'm sorry you must've misunderstood, It's actually Y/n!"

"Oh, Y/n? Aren't you his one night stand? Please stop messaging me, i'm uncomfortable knowing Tobio has a girlfriend and you're trying to earn his attention. Thank you for the efforts of reaching out for me."

He kept you a secret because all they know is you were nothing but a fling to him.

Hinata:

"How's the castle built off people you pretend to care about?"

>> When Hinata got home from practice, he could tell that you were tired and he asked about your day, "Nothing much, just stressful customers always making a scene, you know?" You laugh at your words while Hinata looked into your eyes, "That's sad." He coughs "anyways my day was more stressful than yours, I–"

You spaced out while his rambling started.

Tsukishima:

"I used to think I was smart

But you made me look so naive"

"And every girl I ever talked to told me you were bad, bad news

You called them crazy, God, I hate the way I called them crazy too"

Gosh he loves the way you're so easy to manipulate! you could've lent in some time for the girls to explain themselves but no, you took his words.

a/n. hiiii, this is my first haikyuu one shot in there welp. i hope you enjoy it

— TETSURO KUROO

tetsuro is used to kiss you every time before a match. he says that it brings him some luck. in a few minutes, he was gonna have a match against karasuno and he was talking with you while admiring your attractive features. “kuroo, get your ass there, we’re gonna start getting ready” kenma called for your boyfriend which makes his attention switch up from you to his team. “hold up” the black haired replies to his friend, who was getting impatient.

“gotta go angel, wish me good luck” he says as he steps closer to you. “good luck tetsu” you say with a smile. he leans over to kiss you, but before he could even reach your lips, you step back. it makes him kiss the air and when he realizes he wasn’t kissing you. you could hear some laughs coming from his teammates which makes you chuckle in amusement. “oh yeah? you wanna play this game? we’ll see who’ll be laughing tomorrow after being unable to walk” the black haired grumbles.

he grabs your face to pull it closer to yours as he coldly says “don’t play these games with me” making you smile innocently. he stares into your innocent stare for a long second when he finally decides to press his lips against yours. “if i lose this match, i’ll blame it on you for not giving me a proper good luck kiss” he says as he joins his team. you chuckle and as the match announces its start, you yell “TETSURO” which makes him lose his attention to his game to look at you. “i love you, good luck” you say innocently as he misses his ball.

everyday, you bring a homemade snack for your boyfriend toru and he loves them. you always give them to him at lunch, when you eat with him and iwaizumi. but today, iwaizumi was sick, therefore, he was absent. so it was just the two of you. “awe, it’s pretty lame without iwa” you complained sighing. “oh so you’re saying i’m boring?” your boyfriend asks offended leaning closer to your face.

“maybe” you reply in a teasing tone as you grimace. he pouts staring into your eyes upset as you chuckle. he switches up his attention from your eyes to your lips. he leans closer closing his eyes about to kiss you, but before he could even do it, you move back which makes him fall on. his face meets your thighs from the big distance you kept between your face’s. his eyes widen when his eyes meet your pants’ zip which makes his face turn red. “hey what was that?” he asks backing off looking flustered.

“nothing” you reply innocently. he pushes you over on the ground holding your wrist pinning them beside your head. “don’t reject my kisses” he says biting his inner cheek. “sorry” you say as he leans closer to kiss you. without hesitation, you kiss him back which makes him smile into the kiss.

yu is shorter than you, so it’s pretty hard for him to reach you while trying to kiss you, therefore, he puts a lot of love and affection in his kisses, as well of some effort. at the moment, he had to leave you behind since daichi and suga had forced him to get into studying for his next exam. getting spammed with messages of the both of them for why he was late, he sighs and says “sorry (y/n). i got to go”

“oh, then bye noya!” you say with a smile hiding how sad you were at the idea of him leaving. you both get up as he gets on his tippie toes to be able to kiss, but you step back. he ends up falling on you from losing control of his balance. “ow! what was that for?!?” your boyfriend whines out. “my way to show you how upset i am at you leaving” you say pouting.

he sighs and gets back up. you look down at him upset when he pulls you towards himself by grabbing your collar. he presses his lips on yours for a long 2 minutes before saying “you know i don’t wanna leave you behind. if you want, you can join our studying” then he smiles. you stay quiet unsure if you should accept his offer or not, but you end up saying yes as you smile.

— HAJIME IWAIZUMI

hajime and you are at the very moment watching a movie together at your house, in the living room, cuddling on the couch. he has his arms wrapped around you as you had your head laid back against his chest. his warm hugs were able to comfort you during the sad parts of the movie and to support you when you felt lonely watching some romantic parts.

the movie finally ended when iwa leans over your face to kiss you, but you back off his arms to lean over on the table having as goal to grab the tv remote. this makes your boyfriend’s eyes widen as he says “hey, what are you doing?” as he looks at you leaning back with the remote on your hand. “turning off the tv” you said as you press the on and off button.

he sighs then grabs your face to press his lips against yours. “i thought you were running away from my kiss” he mumbles against your lips while slightly moving away to be able to talk. you smile amused as he presses his on yours again.

flickering your lights on and off, it’s barely a quarter-past-nine and the two of you spent the night watching movies until witches hour. the scent of freshly made french toast wafted through the air, slowly bringing you back to consciousness. pushing yourself up to a sitting position, you noticed a mischevious glint in his eyes before he suddenly pushed your door wide open and left the room, leaving the bright lights on too.

loudly banging on your door. you two had a reservation for a new breakfast place in town that you’ve been talking about for weeks. he had tried waking you up almost two hours ago with no avail. at this point he’s given up, ready to drag you out of the comfortable bed and get you ready himself.

gently shaking you awake. he knows how hectic your schedule has been recently. you’ve spent late nights awake finishing projects, so sleep is something you sought out for, and he regretted taking you from that calm haven. he had kept your lights off, prepared to give you as much time as you needed to get up. his shakes were just a reminder of the time so you didn’t spend the whole day in bed, at least come and see the sunlight by taking a nap on the couch.
