4. Any fandoms that sucked to be in?
STAR WARS. I was unfortunately there during the nightmare of 2019 where people were to fucking stupid to realise that it's the producers who hurt John Boyega, not white actors who played with him. You were a fan of Adam Driver? Good luck, now you'll see posts with 40.000 notes saying how ugly and stupid he is. No one really cared about John anyway. I would hang out in small, specific circles, but even those got toxic af. I'm still fond of the original series but at this point I kinda don't care about anything SW-related
10. What's the character you don't understand the hype about?
Bakugou Katsuki from Bnha. He's just a cunt. That's mostly it. He got *some* character development but it was too late. He's a horrible, abusive person who doesn't seem to have any desire to change. I still don't understand how come there be so many people who want to be like him. The whole story is that you *shouldn't* be like him because he sucks and despite his powerful quirk, he loses due to his stupid decisions and awful personality.
Another one is Todoroki. He's... mid. Later on he gets a bit more content but he's just so forgettable. I don't understand why do people love him so much and make him to be one of the most recognisable characters in the series. He's alright but far from being the most interesting. He's nothing compared to my girl Uraraka 🥺
11. Any fanon that annoys you?
Quite a lot, though it's mostly about shipping. From regular ones - I hate when people present Deku as dumb and incapable. His whole life story is about how powerful he is due to his combo of being clever, a good person and a hard-worker. He's always had it harder than others and look at him go. To me he feels kinda relatable as someone with undiagnosed mental health issues that affect my learning abilities. I've always been put in the race against people who had a way better start. I fon't always win but I usually go quite far, which again matches Deku's story. He's a good, interesting protagonist and I will die on this hill.
Another one is showing Aizawa as super "cool" and confident. To me it always felt like it's a mask - Aizawa seems like a very insecure person who judges others hastily because he's scared of others judging him. That was the case with All Might - Aizawa didn't understand him and judged his motivations wrongly. Over time he changed him mind as he got to know Toshi better. Aizawa is shy and fully aware that his quirk isn't very flashy. He's a professional who never gets recognition- he keeps saying that it doesn't matter but I don't really believe that. I think he's a bit frustrated with that, though will never show it. Aizawa is a pretty complex character so I'm not very happy with ppl bringing him down to the role of an edgy sexyman
