My dad was very against me getting a dog and then IMMEDIATELY fell in love with her. Like he absolutely adores her. He started off like 'uggh I don't want to end up having to take care of it' and now he REQUESTS to babysit her every couple weeks or so just for fun. He will just sit there petting her and chuckling and saying "She just makes me laugh :)" to himself. He calls himself her 'grandpa'. The bond between an aging father and the pet he didn't want is probably the deepest love on earth.

i need people to understand that miles refusing to grapple with tucker’s misogyny in chorus does not mean that tucker was magically cured of it. bigotry isn’t something you “mature” out of its something you have to actively unlearn. even if tucker grew past the insecurity that caused him to put on his chauvinistic playboy mask the underlying beliefs that made him think that behavior was acceptable in the first place are still there; namely, a deep seated disrespect for women and the inability to view them as actual people.

am i saying that tucker’s characterization post 13 was well executed? no, not at all. but i do think it’s more of an actual interrogation of tucker’s flaws that chorus was.
