hi! and welcome to my little corner of the internet. you'll mostly see bungo stray dogs from me here, probably mostly reblogs, but i might start posting writing at some point and even open fic/headcanon requests, since that's something i enjoy doing. you can find ships i like, some of my favorite characters, some random info about me, and some writing request information under the readmore!

i'm not sure i have a name that i'll give to myself on this blog! if you need to refer to me, though, you can use my full blog url, "anne" for short, and they/them pronouns.

i'm an adult (over 25), and i'm currently doing some personal studies. i have a pretty wide variety of interests. i got into bungo stray dogs in... 2015? 2016? i'm not sure, it was really early into my college experience? as soon as the anime started airing, i started watching it--and i fell in absolute love with it. so... here i am now! adoring it with my entire heart.

i can be a little awkward when it comes to talking, so please try to be patient with me. it's okay if you need to ask for clarification, as well. i love to infodump and talk, though, and can occasionally get pretty long-winded when it comes to analyzing or discussing characterization.

when it comes to characterization in my writing, i love to have pretty much all of my characterization rooted in canon somewhere, somehow. sometimes i'll stray from this, but... a lot of the time, i really do prefer to pick characters apart and analyze them endlessly and putting that into my writing, even simple, fluffy one-shots.

i love character analysis, scene analysis, and so on--and i actually studied cinematography! i adore picking apart scenes and how they're framed/shot, transitions, lighting, sound, and how everything all ties in to create the scenes we're looking at. this goes for manga, novels, and anime. please feel free to talk to me about this.

these rules are specifically for writing requests--i might get back into icon and graphic making at some point, but i haven't really done any of that in years past personal use, so... well! anyways. a tldr/summary version of these rules will be provided at the bottom.

I will only take requests through the ask box. You can put them on anon or off. But anything you request must be sent through there.

If you're sending a request, you have to give a specific prompt and character(s). This can be a dialogue prompt from a post I've reblogged, something you've thought of off the top of your head, a specific character interaction... Anything.

You can request a headcanon list, as well. But please give me something specific, and not just "*Name* Headcanons?" Give me something like, "Headcanons for *Name* in a florist AU?" or something else.

But. I don't write or take not safe for work requests. At all. Things can get a little spicy, but I don't like writing sex scenes, and so, I won't. If sex is implied, it's fade-to-black.

I won't ship minors with adults in a romantic context. It makes me incredibly uncomfortable I will often use AO3-styled tagging, which means that you might see platonic/familiar interactions or relationships marked as "&" (so, for example, Kyouka & Kouyou or Fukuzawa & Ranpo). I don't typically do this in casual conversation, though.

Some of my writing might contain disturbing, uncomfortable, or traumatic implications or themes. I will always trigger warn for these things. If you send requests that contain similar themes or mention them, I kindly request that you start the message off with a TW.

Currently, I'm only taking writing requests for Bungo Stray Dogs fanfics and headcanons. This may change in time.

These will generally be one-shots or short fics, as these are free, and I don't want to write an entire novel for free unless it's for my own characters, my own world--which I love a lot.

I don't take "x reader" or "x OC" fanfics or headcanons outside of my own OCs (I have no Bungo Stray Dogs characters). I'm sorry! I support you guys, though.

ANYWAY i sometimes do thought dumps on there that involve nsfw topics like smut fanfic n stuff, so i've tried to brainstorm for my planned sskk fic on there before and well i actually found a wordy one i did where i rlly tried to explain in detail just exactly i Want to create and accomplish w this fic idea of mine. and even just re-reading the post myself, i found it to be very concise and illustrative of my goal for the fic's overall mood and tone. it was a very well-needed reminder for me to read my thought process from a month or so back when i was a bit more hyped to begin this project.

so yeah! anyway im just gonna copy and paste the whole damn post here bc i think it's an interesting read and good presentation of my inner thoughts wrt to what i'm hoping to write (hopefully) someday soon. and really... this fic idea is still barely in its infancy like there's still SO MUCH left to brainstorm and plan out like fuck!!! it's still too early to even start an outline doc (and that's like one of my fave parts of the fic writing process)

oh and some background context: a few months ago there was an event on twitter/ao3 (not sure if here on tumblr? i unfortunately don't follow many or any bsd/sskk blogs at ALL yet) for bottom akutagawa week which was HEAVEN for me 🥰🥰🥰 literally could not have been a better event to appeal to my interests in this fandom i s2g. and i got my hopes up that maybe i could write a lil fic in time to share during the week but that unfortunately didn't happen. anyway here's the post:

so i might not be able to write the bsd smut fic i was initially hoping to publish during the bottom aku fan week this week... but that doesn't mean i have to give up on this fic project completely! if anything now i don't have to worry about meeting an irrefutable deadline and i can technically do anything i want. so yeah i still wanna write this fic.

but first. i have to figure out What The Fuck i'm gonna write lmao cause i still don't fucking know. i was Intending to do a < 4k word one-shot fluffy getting together that somehow... transitions into a sex scene. and i still wanna do that... but i just. don't rlly have any specific detail or image or moment or dialogue line in mind to start building a story from. AND LIKE yeaH i know that sounds dumb cause it's like. if i don't have ANYTHING fantasized yet then WHY AM I EVEN BOTHERING to start this fic at all!?

i should AT LEAST settle on how fast this fic is gonna be paced. tbh i kinda Always prefer sskk's first time being a bit... feverish and rushed. it just suits them best. maybe there’s a little angst or miscommunication of feelings/intentions thrown in before they Eventually get their shit/feelings together. but anyway i don’t wanna write that lmao that’s too complicated (but like. yeah. these are two Very complicated (i.e. traumatized) guys with a VERY complicated relationship so. yeah it’s actually kinda rare/weird to imagine things working out Too smoothly for them tbh). 

while objectively that complicated/messy/aggressive type shit is their Brand, i would still like to keep things soft and gentle and Nice. that stuff is Not Impossible w these two ofc. it’s... tricky, but def possible. and i wanna achieve That. a getting together that is soft, hesitant, shy, and puts a heavy emphasis on Both of these men’s inexperience wrt romance and sex (that. is. my. Shit. they are both virgins and absolutely clueless and i Refuse to accept anything other than that. ......okay no... that’s not rlly true... basically all of my fave fics have a somewhat experienced atsushi and that’s okay bc like. how else is he gonna be able to Take Care of ryuu if he doesn’t already have an idea of how to take care of someone during sex? anyway ryuu is the most virginal virgin of all virgins to exist THAT IS INDISPUTABLE!!!!!)

so. i guess what i’m wondering is... how fast can i manage to pace the flow of the story while still keeping it soft overall. cause i don’t feel like writing a super super hot n filthy sex scene that’s charged and exhilarating and just a fucking blur of fucking. i wanna write feely, emotional sex. an aching intimate exchange of trust between them, still laced w hesitance and anxiety and sheer disbelief that this is really happening and that they can have this. both of them express unwavering consideration for each other’s comfort, constantly asking for consent and reassuring the other that “yes, i want this. yes, that feels good. yes yes yes.” they’re both taking careful, yet still enthusiastic, steps together. TENDERNESS is my ultimate goal here.

so yeah anyway i’ll try to keep thinking about this and hopefully i can actually come up w some ideas that i wanna implement into whatever this fic eventually becomes. just haven’t had enough time.... or horniess.... to get down to some real brainstorming yet lmao

It was an exhausting day at work and your boss scheduled you so that you’d be just under the hours required for you to get a lunch break.

“Stupid five and a half hours shift. Just give me a lunch break, damn it.” You grumbled.

“Yeah, the boss really likes to do that type of stuff. You hungry?” He asked. “I’m pretty sure they have good food next door.”

You shook your head. “You don’t have to-”

“And that’s my cue to get you something next door.” He says, starting to take off his apron.

A couple of minutes later, he comes back with a sandwich you could snack on. “You can sit on the side and eat while I watch the front, okay?”

“I-” You sigh in defeat as you feel your stomach rumbling. “Thank you.. I really appreciate it.”

He chuckles, ruffling your hair. “You’re welcome. If I don’t feed you when you’re at work, then who will?”

After dinner, he looks at the bill. “See? It was only 400 Mora”

You huffed, crossing your arms over your chest. “400 Mora is expensive.”

“Hey, hey, 400 Mora is nothing if it means that you’re fed. And I don’t mind spending money on you. You’re fun to hang around and I’m not embarrassed to be seen hanging out with you*.” He says, getting a little sentimental for just a simple dinner.

“Okay, okay! You didn’t have to add that last part!”

Hello friends! I recently was thinking about the inevitable and heavily hinted at death of the player character in Destiny 2, and I think I figured it out! There will be no datamined content or spoilers in this post; I will simply be using content in the game that has already been officially released by bungie. However, I will still be tagging this with the spoilers tag, because people might not want to have this spoiled.

Spoilers for Destiny 2 (season of the Lost) below this text! If you're not comfortable with spoilers, please just scroll past this post.

I believe that we (in reference to the player character) will be taken by Xivu Arath towards the end of the season of the Lost, when Mara Sov performs the ritual to de-worm Savathûn. My reasoning and evidence consists of a couple main points that I will list, along with provided context for those who need it.

Evidence chunk 1: Why I think that we'll be Taken, out of all possible ways to 'die'.

('Die' is in quotes because being Taken is reversible, and doesn't actually kill you.)

During some of the Expunge missions from season of the Splicer, there was dialogue below the radar, seemingly from either Quria (a vex mind made for processing massive amounts of data to better understand the nature of paracausality) or Savathûn (the hive god of trickery and lies, commonly referred to as the 'Witch Queen').

The dialogue:

I see you.

Crawling around my domain like insects.

This realm answers to only one master.

You are nothing.

You know nothing of power.

Thrashing around like a wounded animal.

Unaware that you are already dead.

Your failure is written in time.

I have seen your grave.

I see you.

Rent asunder...

Broken...

Taken.

There was some extra stuff that I didn't include because it wasn't relevant, but this is the main part. We can assume that whoever is saying this probably has access to vex networks that are in some way connected to the infinite forest (an incredibly powerful vex simulation engine designed to help the vex decide which timelines to pursue for their own goals), because during the season of Dawn, we are actually shown our grave during an exotic quest (which leads me into my next chunk of reasoning!).

Chunk 2: Saint-14

During the season of Dawn when we're shown our grave, we hear Saint-14 giving our eulogy during our funeral in the background. Ghost is dead and is embedded in the grave, and is completely intact, leading me to believe that he was killed by something that suppressed/drained his light- which is part of why I think we might have been taken- but back to the topic of Saint. Why is Saint-14, of all the possible people, giving our eulogy? Why not any of the other characters that people might even be more familiar with?

Because we're going to be fighting the Xivu Arath's Taken alongside him, when we're defending Mara Sov and her techeuns while she de-worms Savathûn. In one part of the eulogy, Saint says something along the lines of "And if you're still out there; come back to us, and we'll kill what killed you. Or die trying." (I'm trying to quote this from memory, so it's probably not exact)

Anyways, that's my take on the guardian's death. I encourage people to correct me on anything lore-wise that I got wrong, and any typos my sleep deprived self has made. Also, feel free to ask me for clarification on different things I touched on if need be. Any and all criticism is welcome, as long as you aren't attacking me.

Maybe not the most random but maybe the strangest is Haru x Goro. Um, Goro killed her father, and more importantly, he's a homosexual.

No one will understand this but Lift from the Stormlight Archive. They would be. the most fucking siblings ever.

So, for some context since I doubt any persona fans will also be readers of Brandon Sanderson, Lift is an orphan girl with magic that powers up whenever she eats. She's sassy af and takes no nonsense from anyone and is extremely street smart but not very common sense smart and suffers from chronic loneliness and a traumatic childhood. Anyway, she's Goro's little sister now, and I have a whole freaking AU with them together. I may make a whole separate post about them at some point despite the utter lack of audience or interest for this because I literally use the canonical lore of both universes to justify how these two would meet, have dialogue written between them, and some (unfinished) fanart and I want to share. But I'll spare this post of that for all of your sakes.

Oh. Have I mentioned that Lift also loves pancakes?

Hey, I'm a longtime SC fic reader and potentially maybe possibly thinking of starting to write fic. I'm thinking SC media fest might be a good place for me to start sharing (and also have a deadline). Do you have any tips for new writers in the fandom?

Hi! I'm so excited that you're considering diving into writing some fic for the SC fandom, and @scmediafest is a great time to jump in! Deadlines help me a lot, too, haha, and it's fun to work off of a prompt (if that was what you were thinking doing).

Here are some general tips that I hope can be of help. If you want to share more about your idea I'd be happy to give specific tips, too! (Although you'd have to come off anon for that so I can discuss it with you privately, so it doesn't spoil for the fest.)

Think about something that you're really excited or passionate about. Maybe it's a movie, TV, book, etc. for Mediafest? Or maybe it's something that happened to you that you'd like to unpack, or something you recently learned about or discovered that you want to dive deeper into? Either way, I get the most inspiration and excitement to not only outline the fic but see it through if it's something that I'm really interested in or experiencing (or previously experienced).

Think about the journey that you want the characters to go on. What do you want them to experience or learn after the fic is done? How do the events of the fic impact them? How are they different afterward? Every scene or conversation should have some kind of impact, even if it's just getting them closer to the next scene. One example I gave to a friend recently was that even something as minute as David taking out the trash can lead him to thinking about the fragility of life, lol. Or Alexis putting away her clothes in her New York apartment can lead her to thinking about how she's never really had a place to call home before Schitt's Creek—what will she do now that she has to create a new home for herself?

Similarly, what's motivating your characters? What excites them, scares them, etc? What do they want to get out of this moment? Keeping this in mind can help you craft scenes and stories that will get them from point A to point Z in a way that feels seamless and natural, because you're letting the characters live and breathe.

I personally outline my fics, though I know not everyone does. If you think an outline may help you, I try to ensure that within my outline, I have a clear idea of the supporting elements—dialogue, description, actions, etc—that are going to lead me from one place to another. It basically puts #2 and #3 into context for me. It also helps me plan for the in-betweens. If I know I want David to talk to Alexis about A before he talks to Patrick about A, but I don't know how to get him from that first scene to the second, I can write those down in my outline and then think about the motivations that are going to make the second of those things happen as a result of the other.

If you do outline, don't be afraid to modify your outline! Sometimes you think it's going to go one way and the characters' emotions or motivations end up evolving through the course of your writing. Sometimes you end up needing more scenes or beats to convey what you want. That's totally okay.

Try to not worry too much about whether there are existing fics that are similar to yours—maybe they use the same tropes as what you want to do, or there are already fics about Twyla visiting Alexis in New York but you want to write that, too. Your unique perspective and voice haven't been heard yet and new takes on these stories always welcome. That's why we're all here in fandom to begin with!

I personally write in chronological order, but I know not everyone does. Give yourself the freedom to write in the order that works best for you. Skip scenes and come back to them later, leave yourself brackets like [weird Twyla story] to fill out later, etc. Do whatever you need to!

Lastly, a beta reader can make a world of difference. It's so hopeful to get another person's perspective. Sometimes, after you're staring at your own words and plot for so long, it's hard to take a step back and look at what you have with fresh eyes. A new reader will help you get excited about what you've achieved, highlight things that may need some tweaking, catch any typos, etc.
