Okay, look, I don’t really have an issue with the genuine Tory ‘jokes’. I absolutely understand the aspect of ‘Tory’ being used synonymously with the term ‘posh’ or ‘rich’ or ‘lavish’ and sure, I don’t think the poor boy can really escape the allegations in that sense. He absolutely screams posh middle class from every pore no matter how hard he tries. Calling inanimate objects ‘Tory’, again, makes no difference.

What I do have an issue with is when it’s used in a… idk, a weaponised sense almost? When it’s used to assign specific opinions in a derogatory sense about people. When it’s quite clear the intention is not harmless. For example the tweets accusing George of being a racist, or a pedophile sympathiser or telling him he supports slavery/colonialism. Like we’re quite clearly shifting very quickly out of the ‘lol bet he shops in Waitrose’ territory when it’s moving in that direction. That’s not harmless banter, that’s crossing a line.

I doubt any of them have ever voted. If any of them did I’m sure they’d vote with their wallets and probably would all vote Tory for tax purposes. You all give Lewis a bye, but guess what, moving to Monaco is Tory behaviour. Seb moving to Switzerland… That’s not liberal behaviour. Money turns EVERYONE economically conservative in one way or another, even if they don’t agree with the social aspects of conservatism. the last chapter is freakin beautiful.

first of all, the scene where we was waking up, and you using the five senses?? that. was. freakin. good. i read it before i got out of my bed and it really felt like i was in there. like i was sucked into that world that you created and all i can feel is warmth and contentment. i also love that you included tsumu's pov. when he said, “good mornin, pretty.” lemme tell you, i absolutely MELTED. i really love this scene because it's intimate and romantic, contrary to the events that happened the night before. (not to say that i didn't like it. i certainly did!! but this is a different kind of good, if i'm making sense?)

then their lighthearted banter about tsumu's back?? and we was bein confident again?? and reminded tsumu about doing that again but this time, really slow and really hard?? man, my insides turned into jelly!! it's a wonder how tsumu was able to keep his composure at all.

and then the bed scene ugh i LOVE it!! love it love it love it love it love it love it love it love it love it love it love it love it love it love it love it and the baby endearment??? and tsumu bein a thigh enthusiast??? OH MY GOODNESS *chef's kiss*

then came their vulnerable moment. lemme tell you, babe, i was tearing up when i was reading that (つ﹏<。) i can relate to reader's worries and fears. tsumu is... idk an uncharted territory?? he established early on that he wasn't the second date type of guy, and falling for that kind of guy IS scary bc we might just get hurt in the end. but i am glad, i am so GLAD that tsumu realized that he loves us when we was still with him in that bed and did not let go of us. otherwise, i think we would be consumed by our doubts regarding our relationship with him, and we would just... run away (i think). i just about lost it when this line came up, "you keep coming up with excuses, not because you want him to agree with them, but because you want him to keep disputing them." this line hit differently, babe. it just him me right in the feels and through my core. and then this part?? “i’m not doing any of that without you,” he says, pauses, and then adds, “if you’d keep me around.” !!!!!!!!!! it's the perfect and the only right response to what we was being anxious about. and then the okay part??? the scenarios that followed right after??? i was sobbing while reading it all *sniffles* it's beautiful, tori, i could not have asked for a better ending.

now, about the maki ending... i really tried my best to read it. i really did. i even thought that i would be rooting for them when i read ch 7.5 but when i read ch. 8.5, and saw how hurt and confused tsumu was. i couldn't take it *nervous laughter* when he said “i let you meet my fucking brother.” i had to stop. i mean, i love angst, i usually have it for breakfast, but ig not today?? or not to this degree, bc i saw myself in tsumu, and my greatest fear is being rejected after i've been vulnerable with someone. that's why i'm afraid that i cannot give ch 8.5 the love that it deserves (╯_╰)

this is mostly just the nick and charlie of it all. the other characters storylines were difficult to figure out bcs they were not so much in the novels

because of the clips in the trailer & episode titles i figured we’ll cover volume 1&2.

after hanging out as friends, charlie will realize he has a big crush on nick. nick will start feeling conflicted about what he’s feeling, never having felt that for a guy.

the episode will show a lot of doubt and unsaid feelings but at the end of it nick and charlie finally kiss for the first time

episode 4

after the chaotic ending of the party. nick goes to charlie’s house. they talk, kiss etc & nick asks charlie to keep “them” a secret, because he isn’t yet sure of his sexuality

episode 5

at charlie’s birthday party he says « he is my…friend » to tao. because he still has to keep them a secret, while nick is still insecure and unsure of himself.

episode 6

(this episode might be more focused on taraxdarcy. like a special episode, idk

but as far as nickxcharlie’s storyline. nick will come out to his new friends tara x darcy & later n&c will get caught by tori.

so i guess he is coming out to the girls first. girls that support them, could be what gets nick one step closer to coming out to his mum later.

harry is a bully and homophobe during this episode. and that affects both nick and charlie and their relationship

episode 8

the final episode nick decides to finally not let others decide his life. and to just be happy with the one he likes. so he comes out to his mum and tells her charlie is his boyfriend.

I've seen a lot of showrunners act dumb on social media because they like the attention they get from fans, but H*yden is on another level. At this point I have to assume the other 2 don't say anything to him because they're used to their friend being like this. What's funny is that he claims that Tory was trying to make Miguel jealous... then why did she jump into Robby's lap to make out with him, when Miggy wasn't there to see?? Why was she super worried about Robby during the tournament?? Does he think we're all stupid?? She also kicked Miguel's face at the party with Robby's help lmao. H*yden has Tor*guel shippers calling him a king and celebrating their "endgame", but as annoying as he is, no one is going to give out a major part of their show's ending on Twitter... not to mention the show is far from over and I doubt they have the series finale script already. Miguel didn't give a rat's ass that Tory was with Kreese, who he knows is a bad dude, and Sam threw a tantrum at Robby dancing with Tory but didn't care he was training with two dangerous men. How is that true love?? Not to mention that if Miguel and Robby are finally going to start their step-brothers journey next season, I doubt the best way to do it is by... switching gfs?? This show still has a couple of more years, so I don't know how I'm gonna put up with H*yden starting shit on Twitter so he can laugh at fans who come into his mentions. I feel like the show itself has made it clear over the past 4 seasons that Sam is the one for Miguel, so idk why they'd suddenly do a 180º and make Miguel dump Sam to get with a girl he hasn't interacted with much for 2 seasons.

Then again, I get a weird vibe from the showrunners because they love the ex-nerd/popular hot girl trope with H*wkMoon, Yasm*tri and I guess Samguel/Tor*guel are also an example of that.

Let me directly address that last part... it is *nauseating* to see them obsessed with that trope and also write them so unrealistically. I absolutely hate all those relationships BECAUSE of that trope. Especially the Yasmine/Demetri one because it is TOO cheesy. She's so 2D and unlikable and Demetri was like my favourite character for the first three seasons, his development was really interesting and then it just halted because "he got the girl of his dreams". Lame. I basically wanted to gouge my eyes out everytime they were on screen, which were too many, this season.

They've also ruined Sam/Miguel because of their on-and-off. I was never that into them, but the constant self inflicted problems and trust issues definitely has not helped make it look attractive nor functional. I wouldn't mind Miguel getting together with someone else after his dad drama, just not Tory or any of the girls we know, he doesn't need the baggage. I also think that they should do more with Sam as a firstborn Larusso kid, and not make her always be in the middle of all the love mess... I feel like they dropped the ball with her ever since the beginning of the series, there was so much you could've done with her but no they chose "love triangle", tragic. Now it's too late because they've brought Anthony into the mix.

I am not a big Hawk fan, but the fact that they had to forcefully make Moon get back together with him for him to gain his confidence back was lazy and forced writing... he should've gained confidence by himself not through her. And the fact that they dropped the ONLY lgbt rep they had with Moon/Piper for yet another nerd/popular girl story is tasteless lol. I could see Miguel/Tory vaguely falling into that stereotype, but I just can't put Tory in the same category as Sam/Moon/Yasmine especially not after s4. That's also why I'm against Tory/Sam becoming friends because I don't see that they have anything in common except love interests, and I just find it unrealistic. I would be here for a peace treaty though and stop the antagonism, like Amanda said.

And when you look at all these copy-and-paste relationships, you actually start appreciating Robby/Tory much more because they are NOT cookie cutter and "forced" (a lot of people don't know what that term means clearly). They're actually the pair that makes *most* sense and feels *most* natural out of the relationships I mentioned and out of the love square. They would bond in whatever circumstance because of their similarities, whereas Sam/Robby and Tory/Miguel happened because they were in the same house or the same dojo and because "boy and girl" basically. Now no more switching, or you won't just ruin Sam and Miguel but Robby and Tory too. As I said before you have to start deepening relationships at a certain point and not just have a bunch of meaningless drama.

And you bring up a lot of good points from the show that shows complete lack of logic in what Hayden is claiming. But again, I think that's the purpose of his tweets. He's fanning the flames, not being serious, trolling. Is he bored or why is he doing it? Beats me. I'm just going to go by what the show tells me like you usually do, and it tells me this nonsense is over at least for Robby and Tory.

The two things that get under my skin about people reducing Hawk breaking Demetri’s arm to simple peer pressure:

1) It completely erases the role Miguel’s fall had on the action. I’ve gone into great length about this before, but yeah some people just really don’t like to admit that had it not been for Miguel paying the price for showing mercy, Hawk never would’ve committed himself to a revenge-quest that ultimately ended in him breaking Demetri’s arm, even when his friend literally begged him to let him go. Had Miguel not been almost killed for doing the right thing, Hawk wouldn’t have had the motivation to not release Demetri, no matter how much the other Cobras were egging him on. But I guess some people just find Miguel so unimportant to the narrative, for whatever reason, that they really think his specter wasn’t all over that scene.

2) Narratively-speaking, it had to be Demetri because he was literally the only one of Hawk’s “enemies” that would’ve given him pause, the only one that would make him regretful for his action. After the training Kreese put him through, Hawk wouldn’t have hesitated for a second to break the arms of any of the other Miyagi-Dos had they been in Demetri’s position. Even after this, the only reason he didn’t get to break Robby’s legs is because Kreese stopped him, because Hawk would’ve absolutely wrecked Robby given the chance. And he wouldn’t have felt any meaningful regret if he hurt the other Miyagi-Dos and that’s the point. It had to be Demetri.

That’s the tragedy of the whole thing. It’s not that Tory and Mitch or whoever peer pressured Hawk into breaking Demetri’s arm. It’s that Hawk had fallen so far off the path, been consumed by so much anger and self-hatred, and wanted so badly to get revenge for Miguel because no responsible adult was around to give him better advice on how to deal with his trauma, that he got to the point where he could literally break his best friend’s arm.

And that tragedy just would not have hit home as hard had he broken Chris’s or Sam’s arms, and I doubt people would’ve reduced it to peer pressure then if he did (I don’t see anyone saying that’s why he beat up Nate for the charity money). And had he simply waited to break Robby’s arm (which make no mistake, Hawk would’ve done if Robby hadn’t been in juvie), both he and the narrative could’ve framed that as justified revenge. 

Like, just one episode later we saw him destroy Brucks and I don’t see anyone saying his teammates peer pressured him into that. Because I suppose it was okay he lost his shit on his bully or whatever. Not a visceral reminder that if Hawk’s anger issues have spiraled so far out of control that he could break his own friend’s arm, he could hurt anybody; and in Brucks’s case, not show any signs of remorse. 

And idk it just really detracts from the tragedy a lot when people reduce it to “if only Hawk didn’t care so much about impressing the Cobra Kais.”

Thinking about being a bad girl and writing an AU series in which Miguel does, unfortunately, die of his injuries from Season 2.

Imagine the angst, the turmoil, what they’d all do.

No doubt Johnny would be on his own again because Carmen would definitely blame him for her son’s death. He’d probably drink and spiral more too.

Robby would be absolutely torn to shreds with guilt. He’d probably go and hand himself in at that point then.

Sam and Tory would be wrecks, perhaps set aside their differences in light of this whole situation?

Hawk and Demetri would, maybe, reconcile. But Hawk would also definitely fly into a fucking rage because he and Miguel were pretty close friends.

Kreese would probably still press the kids to train harder, which would 100% lead to most, if not all quitting Cobra Kai because “really, dude?”

And Daniel? Quit karate altogether. Would probably end up depressed because that was his student that killed his ‘rival’s’ students, intentional or not. He too would be torn to shreds with guilt. 

Like, the whole idea is a sad concept, and angsty, definitely angsty, but like, on the same hand, it kinda would be sorta fun to explore? For characterisation purposes, I guess? Idk.

In the late 70s Osamu Tezuka, worked as director at the Toei Animation studio, wanting to continue working in animation. He proposed a remake/sequel to the 60's Astro boy called 'Mighty Mars' series which Toei approved. However, the rights to 60's AB belonged to Mushi Productions, Tezuka's anime company that went bankrupt in '73. The rights then went to it's sponsor company, Meiji Seika Kaisha, Ltd afterwards. So no official remake was possible.

He change the name to Jetter Mars and the main theme of the show was about Mars learning about the world around him and growing as a person, opposed to Astro's struggling to create a world where robots and humans could live peacefully together. There's still similarities such as Astro and Ochanomizu VA voicing Mars and Dr. Kawashimo.

Tezuka was involved in it's early development only. Toei Animation collaborated with Madhouse thus most of the animators were were ex Mushi employees. It's was translated into Italian (called 'Captain Jet') and a Spanish dub (called 'Jet Mars: The Bionic Boy') but no English dub.

Tori also owned a company called Televiland, who created Jetter Mars mangas and allowed Popy (now called Bandai) to create other JM merchandise. If you searched for Jetter Mars merch, then you seen them. Most look haunted TBF.

JM reception was not bad but not good either, with people wanting 60's AB back. Adding to that, Tezuka lost interest after 27 episodes (Less then a year) due to Toei's micro managing tactics. A few years later he obtained the rights to Astro Boy and created the remake in color - the 80's version of Astro Boy - at Tezuka Productions. This was his last Astro Boy project before his death in '89.

Jetter Mars faded in to obscurity, save a few cameos, one known one is in Astro Boy: Omega Factor (Really good game BTW) and referenced in Atom: The Beginning.

However, like most of Tezuka's lesser known works, Jetter Mars does have it's fans - and those fans are Astro Boy fans! A fansub also exist even if it's a bit wonky in places. And even the manga got reprinted back to 2019.

There's multiple versions of the manga, 4 to be exact. But the first one, created by Ikahara Shigeto (credited as Ikehara Shigeru in the manga) or Shigetoshi Ikehara is the only one to be reprinted.

Shigeto was one of Tezuka's pupils and assistant, working with him on Marvelous Melmo at Tezuka Productions in '79. Funny enough, he never worked on an Astro Boy manga but on the Rockman (Mega Man) manga's in the 90's. The only other Tezuka properties he worked on was a 3 part manga version of Marine Express (2016-2018). The vols are pretty cheap but IDK if I'll get it. I mean, does anyone really liked Marine Express like that? He mostly worked on licensed properties but he does have an webcomic called Monsieur Akashi. All the info I have about him is from the Mega Man wiki.

Again like the anime, Tezuka never worked on any versions of the manga. And as mentioned before, no version of the manga was reprinted untill 2019, Shigeto version only. Until then, the few people who was aware of any JM manga assume the was only one manga- Shigeto version- and assumed is was lost media.

The Shigeto manga adapted some of the anime episodes and thus can be considered canon. There's very little know about the other versions save a few pics so I can't talk much about them in terms of quality.

So why did they republish the manga? Who knows? Astro Boy Reboot been in the works near a decade with near nothing to show for it, so I doubt his remake/alternative series will get one anytime soon. We can only wait and see.

Yes! I love that ending and it needs more attention! Have some sweet soriel with Queen Toriel. I really enjoyed writing this one and maybe one day may write more for this ending. Who knows.

Queen

Toriel groaned as she woke up, her head throbbing in pain from poor sleep and likely dehydration. She has been so busy, self-care has been forgotten. Granted, she didn’t do much better before when she lived in the Ruins. Still, as Queen, she was a poor example of royalty in her condition. Sitting up she rubbed her tired eyes. There was so much paperwork to do, she really needed to hire help.

“heya, tori,” a familiar deep tone said.

“Sans,” she said then winced while rubbing her head.

“gotta headache?” Sans asked and she nodded. She heard him shuffle off and she sighed. Her poor friend only just arrived to cheer her up, or so she believed until she looked over her stack of to-do paperwork and found it all done. The handwriting was unmistakably Sans, and she chuckled softly.

Sans returned, a glass of water and a bottle of pills. It was so sweet of him. She took his kind offer, smiling as he dimmed the lights in the room. “When did you become an expert at filling out all this paperwork? I think you filled these out far better than I ever could.”

Sans chuckled before sitting in the chair across from her. “no skin means no paper cuts, and filling out enough forms gave me the experience needed to be a cut above the rest.” Oh, that one made her laugh, and wince as her head protested the noise and effort. “a bad one, huh? sorry, tori. the forms are done, you’ve got no meetings to go to. forget about anything you think you gotta do and get some rest. i’ll walk you to your room if you want.”

Toriel shook her head, looking at him with an apologetic smile. “I… Sans, as my friend, I am about to share a… private matter with you. I know you hate to make promises, but can you please promise not to tell this one?”

He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, taking a moment to think it over. “eh, i doubt any situation would come up that i might spill any beans. so, what’s this secret of yours that you need to tell me?”

Toriel took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. It was silly to be so stressed about this around him, but she was. “I can not sleep in that room,” She started and she saw the startled look in his eyelights. “I have not been able to get a single wink of sleep in that bedroom at all since I got here. Not that I slept well at all before…”

There was such concern in his eyelights for her that it actually made her soul flutter a little. It had been a long time since she had someone look at her with such care. Sans then stood and walked around the table, holding out his boney hand to her. “do you trust me?”

She looked at his hand, so small compared to her massive paws. The question really should be the other way around. Her dear friend was so fragile compared to her, and for as many secrets she knows he keeps, he truly was bare bones when it came to his own self-regard. All her paperwork was done, neatly stacked, and she knew he would make sure they were all filed properly as said. The water and pills had started to help and she suspected he was about to try helping her get proper rest. Yet, his clothes looked well worn, a far cry from the neat and tidy appearance of his younger brother. His random dozing off she recognized from her own drowsiness from poor sleep at night. Toriel had come to suspect Sans' tendencies to visit her to help keep her company was more than for her sake. Remembering how bad she got in the Ruins, she feared the same for him.

“With my life, my dear friend,” she said, taking his hand and she heard him chuckle softly. He took a couple of steps backward, guiding her to her feet while keeping his sockets on her. Before she knew it, she was no longer in her office, but in a cozy little house. She blinked and looked around, still amazed by Sans’ little “shortcuts.” Settling her eyes back on him she smiled, “Is this your home?”

“yeah, here, get cozy on the couch, i’ll get you some pillows n’stuff.” As he shuffled off she took a seat and… well getting cozy will take some effort. She had heard Undyne complain about the brother’s couch before, but now she was experiencing it first hand. Indeed, it was lumpy, but the fact he cared led her to not care and find a position she could tolerate sleeping in.

Soon after Sans returned, helping her settle in more. She felt so warm and safe after he covered her up in a warm, fuzzy, dark blue blanket. He backed away, seeming content with his progress. “alright, try to get some rest. i’ll go file those forms for you.”

Before he could leave she reached a paw out and grabbed his hand. That clearly scared him, far more than she would suspect, but then he had confessed to low HP. That likely keeps him on edge all the time… “None of those need to be filed today. Please… do not leave me. I… my mind…”

There was a look of understanding in his sockets then and he gripped her paw back. “i’ll stay… i can read to you if you’d like.”

“I think I would.”

Hello! I was wondering what you thought of binary boyfriends x Sam friendship? Like, I can so imagine after season three (and everyone’s training together) Sam slowly starting to trust Eli.

I have this plot... hc.... idk what you would call it, but it’s where something super traumatic happens to Sam... TW btw... (she’s attacked really bad) and she calls Demetri. Basically Eli and Demetri take care of her while she heals, and I think that would bring them closer together.

Absolutely yes!!! I am very much in favor of a binary boyfriends + Sam Grant friendship!!! I already really love both their friendships with Miguel, so them befriending Sam would be the final step in Demetri, Eli, Miguel, and Sam becoming the Straight/Gay Karate Power Couple Squad I’ve always dreamed of XD Granted, I DO think the Sam/Eli friendship would be a bit of a slow-burn, but it would be SO satisfying to watch these two, after being forced to spend time with one another (partly at Demetri and Miguel’s behest), gradually coming to realize they have a lot more in common than they think and are both pretty faithful friends once you earn their loyalty.

Ooooh, I love that fic idea!!! Like maybe Tory manages to ambush Sam and get her alone, and Tory fucks her up even more than at the school fight. Or maybe ROBBY attacks her with Tory??? WHAT  ARE  YOUR  FAVOURITE  ASPECTS  OF  YOUR  CURRENT  MUSE:  I have a huge list of tifa’s favorite aspects,  what drove me to write tifa the most is even with a traumatic past she still remains kind and doesn’t close herself to people in terms of shutting off or having limited interactions, as much as she keeps to herself her emotions and feelings, she has a facade of keeping moving on and I think that’s so inspiring.  The way she represents to sector 7, like a true heroine to them,  a helper, even though she is always putting other needs before hers which is not healthy at all she still remains so STRONG. I think we would all be blessed if we had a friend like Tifa Lockhart, remember the mideel scene? WTF. That woman is literally an angel. But at the same time one of my favorite aspects of her is not just her strenghts but also her flaws cause they make her so human to me. I remember a scene in Golden Saucer where Red XIII is doubting of his abilties cause HOJO and Tifa tells him to be strong and when he questions her she is just STOP IT, RED XIII  ! BE STRONG ! in all caps lock cause she also has an edge y’know ? And don’t make me start on her fighting skills cause women with hand in hand abilities are my kryptonite.  So yes, I do love that Tifa can be soft but if you step on her toes . . .  damn you’re cursed.  

WHAT’S  YOUR  BIGGEST  INSPIRATION  WHEN  IT  COMES  TO  WRITING:   i like looking at tifa’s arts on twitter: spykee, s_maii_i, jenbartel, _shillo, xxx_7R  &  kikifjwr  ( these last two only illustrate CLOUD so far, but I’m innerly manifesting them to draw Tifa )  are definitely my favorite artists and also on pixiv.  Music, I love listening to Final Fantasy OSTS in general usually I opt for FFIX, FFVII & FFX songs cause they’re super chill for me (well a few let’s not forget ONE WINGED ANGEL) or Silent Hill OSTS are my favorite to focus cause for a horror game they’re so pleasing to my ears. I also sometimes goes to tifalockhartedit hashtag on instagram cause seeing my gurl in slowmo in Play Date’s song it does balance my chakras when I see Tifa content and reading fanfics in general inspires me to write cause I do get excited to see other tifa’s interpretations and ideas + people who love tifa like has a dear spot in my heart. Photoshop weirdly helps too cause editing Tifa ( firstlovetifa bro. . . )  or her aesthetic does bring ideas & last, replay the games or watching the movie or reading the novels.

Okay so now we hear WS is "impacting radio" NOW, not the 19th, I still don't know exactly what that means but I feel like I get it in general: she's a go! Today we got an update to the Watermelon Sugar table: the addition of one napkin with flatware, and salt and pepper shakers (or a was it TWO SALTS? today in discourse though don't ask me why, why would it be two salts?!) Analysis suggests that rather than using a series of images for the picnic table reveal they're just photoshopping the hell out of one picture that will have someone (Harry one assumes) sitting at the table, which kind of seems like more work than just taking a series of pics but perhaps not, or maybe they came up with this idea after doing the shoot, IDK! More importantly: the tune playing at the end of the Eroda/Adore You video has been identified as part of Watermelon Sugar, making it seem like it was hinting at the next single to come, just like how Louis' video series previewed a few seconds of the next single at the end of each video. Of course Louis' videos were also thematically connected which we don't really think this will be... UNLESS... I very much doubt it but I'm absolutely here for being wrong about that, fingers crossed. Falling did fall in between the two but it was different from the other singles in a few ways (like no special web site or playful puzzle buildup like LU, AY, and now WS have had) so I can see it being a disconnected one off, or the disruption of, you know, everything in the world might have shuffled the release plans.

The weird zoom dinner party thing Liam did was disappointingly not as absurd as I'd hoped but I would like to point out that part of the whole sponsored promo point of it was that everyone was supposed to be eating Chili's but Liam (and his Indiana Jones hat) was eating Chinese food with chopsticks (as was Maya, who appeared with him but did not speak). Random honorable mention for Paris Hilton's painting of the last supper only it's her and bunch of other celebs though, that was exactly the sort of thing I looked for from that event. In non dinner themed promo today Liam mentions being caught off guard by the reaction to Both Ways but sort of vaguely says "but that was more down to me educating myself and being aware of the situation rather than thinking you could just write anything." Asked to describe the last ten years in three words he says "amazing...ly scary", oh bub, and he and Alesso said their original plan for the midnight music video was to film in SPACE (?!) Hugo promo continues to exist, the pictures are good and the clothes look cool, the copy is not too exciting. Liam and the Hugo brand were both born in 93 and there are 93s in the designs, that's about the highlight of what I saw there.

Apparently Niall was not playing golf yesterday, he says he's too busy writing and working and will play on the weekend. He got a lot of attention today for laying into the Tory Health Minister ("thinks he's a lot more intelligent than he is... smug and slippery..." politics aside I feel like Niall is feeling personally offended by this guy), mostly from people who fully support his anger (and quite right!)

Self-Indulgent Legally Blonde the Musical AU Because I Can

Yes I’m doing this, and no you can’t stop me. This is specifically for Legally Blonde the Musical, not the movie. The characters in the musical are a little different from the movie, so my choices here may not be the same for the film. Also, my choices are all heavily affected by my personal Cats headcanons and ships. Basically, I’m very biased and these might not be the roles most people in the fandom would assign to these characters. Please assume all kitten characters are aged up for this au. 

Elle Woods - Victoria

Enid Hoopes - Rumpleteazer

Emmett Forrest - Plato

-I don’t think I need to explain why Plato is Emmett, that’s pretty self-explanatory. Tori is Elle because the colors work and it just makes sense to me. Although, ngl Teazer could also make a good Elle since she’s a chaos child who probably wouldn’t give a flying fuck about law, but I think Tori suits the role better. Teazer is Enid because lesbian, and Enid is also implied to have a crush on Elle. A big change in this au is giving Enid a much more prominent role in the show. Why is this? Because I’m going to make Platoriateazer HAPPEN damn it. 

-My idea here is that Teazer/Enid now comes from a similar background as Plato/Emmett, and the two of them bonded over this and became inseparable prior to coming to Harvard. They’re besties right off the bat when we get introduced to them. Teazer/Enid is now present for all of the bonding moments, like “Chip On My Shoulder” because she has a similar background as Plato/Emmett now. She’s there to help Tori study alongside Plato, and also gets transformed by Tori in “Take It Like a Man” (she gets a suit too because what else would Teazer wear?) and of course she’s there to provide comfort in “Legally Blonde.” Basically, her involvement and role in the show is almost identical to Plato’s/Emmett’s. At the end of the show both her and Plato get proposed to by Tori.

-Macavity as Callahan is self-explanatory. However, I’m so sorry I made Alonzo Warner, I’m really doing him dirty here, but like, he makes the most sense for that role. You could argue that Tugger could be Warner, but on what planet would Tugger go to law school? Or get a “serious” girlfriend for that matter? I just can’t see it. And for the record, musical Warner is a lot less of an asshole than movie Warner, he actually gets redeemed a little bit, receives a happy ending, and remains friends with Elle after everything, well, they hug it out at least, which signals to me that they stayed friends. Do I even need to explain why Cass is Vivienne? That one’s also self-explanatory. Similar to Warner, Vivienne is less of an asshole in the musical than in the movie.

For real though, the reason I made it like this is because I’m not fond of the Skimbledots or Jennypher ships, I just don’t like them personally, and I did say I was going to be biased in this. Skimble is Kyle because Kyle is the package delivery guy, and Skimble runs the midnight mail train, they both deliver mail therefore they are the same character. Also, if we’re taking into account 2019 Skimble, who is definitely Kyle materiel, then I don’t think I need to explain myself further. Bomba as Brooke is self-explanatory. I didn’t have the heart to make any canon characters Chutney, so I’m using expendable, vague Admetus, female version probably.

I don’t have anyone down for Dewey because I already used my evil character (Macavity) and I already used my expendable character (Admetus) sooooooo, I mean Dewey is only in one scene anyway so he can be some generic character maybe.

Nikos - Rum Tum Tugger (yes this is going based off that amv, sue me) GAY OR EUROPEAN?

Carlos - Mr. Mistoffelees (also from that amv) GAY ANNNNNNND EUROPEAN.

Unfortunately I couldn’t manage to get Old Deut or Gus in here, one of them could have been the court judge but I really wanted Demeter in this. They could probably be in generic roles, maybe hang out at the salon, or be generic professors at Harvard idk.
