Why did people coin the term amasui, when you can just be a fucking freak and not cater to singlet standards of romance and sex?

non-disordered monocon plural culture is, having known you're plural for multiple years now, having plenty of personal proof that you are plural, being more comfortable and happy than you have in many, many years, due to being able to be plural. but still struggling with so much self doubt, because of how easy it would be to just go back to living as a singlet, and imagining doing so. imagining the fallout that would occur with multiple partner systems if it turned out that we are really just a singlet, that we haven't been plural at all.

It's frustrating seeing popular media completely mangle plural experiences and the way singlets just buy into it. So let me just...

Yes, sometimes alters have real life or fictional equivalents. Doesn't mean they're going to go "evil" trying to replace them.

Not all alters mimic abusers (and I'd wager most don't), a perfectly nice alter isn't going to start putting an abuser on a pedestal.

No, being plural is not just "this person has a famous/evil alter ego!". Please understand alters are their own people and stop spinning stories about them just being "masks" the host puts on. It's incredibly offensive.

Stop saying "the plural person being treated as crazy and needing constant, infantilizing care" is a sympathetic portrayal. Put down your savior complexes for just one minute to consider we have lives like you and having alters doesn't change that fact. Stop dehumanizing systems as a form of "sympathy".

Not treating a plural person as scary but still writing them as a "poor meow meow that need signlets to survive" is setting the bar really freaking low and still not understanding the situation. That is literally what alters are there for. Let them do their job instead of policing them all the time.

I'm not a system so I don't feel comfortable writing someone who is plural, sorry. Even if I do a ton of research I don't feel like I'd get it correct and I don't want to risk spreading any possible harmful or negative stereotypes or even getting something wrong unintentionally.

Introjects don't choose their source but you do choose to ignore all the negative things about your source, and people, especially the people these negative/problematic aspects affect, have a right to mention how uncomfortable that makes them, regardless of whether they're a system or not.

You DO NOT have to tell everyone your source or the sources of your sysmates, nor do you need to list them on your blog. You're not entitled to know others sources and they're not entitled to know yours. Don't let yourself be pressured, and don't pressure anyone else.

System accountability applies to everything, no exceptions.

The severity of a trauma is personal, I'm tired of seeing arguments over what trauma is "bad enough" to develop DID/OSDD. It changes per person and situation, there is no definitive measurement for it.

Everyone in this community completely misrepresents polyfragmented/CDID systems and how they function and it's kinda really incredibly annoying. You can be polyfragmented and not have a high alter count, it's not defined solely by the act of splitting easily and systems that aren't polyfrag can split easily.

Fictive heavy systems are valid but that doesn't mean people are wrong or ableist for being wary of 14 year olds with 50+ danganronpa alters.

In the same vein, you don't owe anyone your traumatic history, not even other systems. You don't need to justify yourself to fakeclaimers and it's honestly safer if you don't so just block and ignore for the love of god.

Just because someone doesn't talk about being a system all the time doesn't mean they're faking, being a system doesn't need to be your personality or main character trait. People who do talk about it all the time aren't invalid or attention seeking either, y'all need to stop arguing on that stuff cause it hurts no one to just coexist and be respectful.
