One of the reasons I love regeneration superpowers is this one scene in an ova for a webcomic called Noblesse.

The sheer horror of putting a hole in a man's chest then seeing their broken ribs curl back in and their flesh pulling together as they just refuse to go down is unmatched. They just won't die, for better or worse, they'll always stand back up.

About:Yandere Raizel.

An Alternate Universe where Raizel didn't like the way Frankenstein goes around flinging himself at stronger enemies and shit while staying with him in Lukedonia.

Raizel is afraid Frankenstein will leave him as well or he might need to eliminate Frankenstein because of his duties as the Noblesse.As the Noblesse it is his duty to eliminate any and all threats against Lukedonia.However,due to the years he hasn't been with anyone,the idea of a once again empty mansion is now scaring him.He never thought he would eventually be afraid of anything,let alone be obsessed,with something or someone.He couldn't imagine a world where Frankenstein isn't there to make him tea or make him worry.

So,He decided to take on a part time job of eliminating the possibility in which Frankenstein would stray away from him.

The only way he could think of,as of the moment is,to be frank,*pun intended*

To fully asume control of Frankenstein.To make Frankenstein his,literally and metaphorically.

He knows that isn't what the bond does.He knows he still doesn't have any form of control over Frankenstein's decision making.Which is precisely why he has to do this.He doesn't want to always have to use mind control.Besides,that isn't permanent.

If Frankenstein gets tired of him,gets bored because he is very mundane,something Raizel won't deny.After all,Frankenstein IS human,humans have such short lives that staying with something or someone for decades can be quite boring,especially with someone like him.

He knows that Frankenstein will seek out thrill and other 'humany' stuff he still doesn't have a good handle on.

And he is also aware that one of the things Frankenstein does to get thrilled is flinging himself at almost everyone he wants to,even darting forth the Lord,Seer.

(It's the Previous Lord's name *obviously*,he might sulk if we only use the title "Previous Lord" to address him.)

This.This will give him 100% assurance better than any leading brand of insurance companies,that Frankenstein will stay with him forever and ever.It will make sure Frankenstein won't ever be in danger,won't ever be in trouble again.He won't have to come home to Raizel bloodied and bruised anymore cuz he'll never leave the mansion anymore!Unless it's of utmost necessity.

Seer once came to question Raizel's decision,whether he actually likes this new Frankenstein.

Raizel,being lonely for ages,thinks he enjoys this.

Raizel asks if Seer plans on getting involved or plans to stop him.

Seer saying it depends if Raizel decides to cross any more lines he knows he shouldn't cross.

Raizel asking what if he does.

Seer saying Raizel will regret it if he does so.

Raizel asking what Seer meant.

Seer saying he won't interfere with anything since he believes Raizel is at the right age and condition to do so,but now he doubts himself.

Raizel says that he won't hesitate to get Seer out the way if he does,in any form or kind,makes a move that somehow oppresses or opposes his decision.

Seer says he still has to raise Raskreia so he definitely won't.

Seer leaves and never interferes with anything,like he said.

Noblesse: Rai's Adventure

Chapter 1 - Mvp lord <3

- Tears of god and Bloodstone are both objectively cool names.

- The mountain of fire? Where the fuck is that? Which volcano are you talking about? The largest volcano that could qualify for this is Ojos del Salado I guess? Since the other two are in the middle of the ocean or on Hawaii respectively.

- Ashoka scolding Gechutel ajsjksks. "Tell me wtf you want!!!" And then they start gossiping about him being shit at directions... but tbf I'd probably forget my way to places if I hadn't been there for 50 years either. I think it's worse when he does it in present day lol.

Chapter 2 - Hi Yuni, hi Keit.

- Snake!

- Ah yes... minotaurs. I like to think that it's because the normal and supernatural realm's boundaries are thin in this area due to some sort of astrology shit that monsters are appearing. The boundaries will become proper again after a while.

Chapter 3 - Well they're not wrong. Raizel is a spoilt rich kid. He's just also got immeasurable responsibility upon him.

- Oh is Yuni barefoot?

Chapter 4 - Karr (the village leader or noble or whatever) is dumb as bricks. Anyone with a brain can tell he's evil. Meanwhile his daughter, Lensia, looks like Ignes.

- Me w/ women.

- Yuni lives with Keit? I guess she's either an orphan or they're related (siblings, cousins, niece and uncle, etc) or both.

- Why is Lensia's hair purple all of a sudden? And only in Keit and Yuni's home... is the lighting there really that different?

Chapter 5 - And now it's purple permanently.

Chapter 6 - Didn't mention this the first time but uh. Big Ben style clock towers over 1000 years ago? Okay then. Sundial or astronomical style ones would make sense since clocks have existed for a hella long time but not modern shit lol.

Chapter 7 - I can see why it's a top comment XD

Chapter 8 - Raizel has one heck of an ego to say stuff like 'How long do you think you can look down on me?' and 'Kneel' so easily. Royalty energy.

Chapter 9 - Still think it's likely that the mystery person who gave Kurmark a bloodstone was Lagus testing out his artificial bloodstones. If it was a real bloodstone then... idk. Some random cultist

- Aaaaand he's a monster. Symbolism of looking like Satan because he actually isn't the god the villager thought he was.

Episode 10 - Interesting that the essence of humans takes the form of red dust just like pureblood nobles do when they die. And we know it's human energy since it only appears once Kurmark dies (he absorbed all aforementioned energy) and heals them. Makes sense even by my hcs where pureblood nobles' bodies are simply physical manifestations their souls are always projecting compared to other nobles who have permanent physical bodies. And ofc the energy from humans and nobles isn't different.

- Okay but Ashoka cares about Raizel so much. He specifically says he'll get the details from him later because that's another excuse he can use to get Raizel to leave his house. Man just wants the best for him iwi.

- Just because you can't tell apart Raizel's microexpressions doesn't mean nobody else can either, grandpa. You're so rude.

"Attack! Attack Sir Raizel, for he is not welcome here!"

The humans throw themselves at him. A young woman gnashes her teeth, biting and clawing over a burly man to get to Raizel, another old man tramples atop another to propel himself just an inch further; Mr Stoica has his axe again, stalking towards the thickening stampede, and a middle-aged woman hobbles on her plainly arthritic bones to answer the call.

They come to him eagerly, mindlessly. If their master wills it they will push themselves through the head of a needle. They will think nothing of stripping skin and bone to do it. It is a savage compulsion, a parasitic impulse injected so deep, they need it, more than anything — they need to kill Raizel or they will go mad. Yet they think nothing of it. There is no…emotion attached.

Raizel pushes them back again, sending them skidding into the ground in psychic bursts, over and over — but no sooner are they pushed down do they gather their limbs and climb anew — more Sisyphus with liver exposed.

Raizel must manoeuvre himself with initiative.

They are not nobles.

One wrong point of pressure, and he can overburden these minds. Crush them.

When sending noble assassins after the Noblesse isn’t enough, then it’s time for Plan B!!

Noblesse Ending Explained

I've seen on Reddit new people coming into the fandom and they're confused about what happened at the end. I've explained this before a few times, but I will do it again for the new people. (Make sure to read everything)

Spoilers ahead.

In the spin-off series ("Rai's Adventure"), at the end, it's revealed that the "Tears of God" have the power of revival. And at the end of the main series, after the Nobles are hit by the missiles, you can see these "Tears of God" everywhere. So they all got revived supposedly by the Gods.

Frankenstein doesn't know this because he didn't participate in the spin-off, reason why his last line was talking about finding out how they are all alive. Only Raizel knows what happened.

On Wikia it says that the Tears of God is the Blood Stone and Raizel is the keeper. So the second option would've been that Raizel used the power of the Blood Stone two times to revive everyone including himself. Maybe that's what the author meant by saying Raizel has "Phoenix-like" powers. Because he's the only one that can revive using the Blood Stone.

Thoughts on the dynamic between Frankenstein and Raizel

While in the middle of those rough sketches I last posted, it occurred to me that I tend to draw Rai with a sort of innocent look about him relative to the other characters. I think a dynamic that gets overlooked in the English speaking part of this fandom is the possibility of a parental one between Frankenstein and Rai, in which Frankenstein views Rai as like a child who has simultaneously never gotten the opportunity to practice personal agency and who was born into an immensely powerful position. Thrust into being the Noblesse from childhood, he never grew up, and that is why Frankenstein, in the modern age, places him in a high school, amongst teenagers, so that he can enter that transitional period we all enter between childhood and adulthood. This interpretation of their dynamic still aligns with Frankenstein’s self sacrificial behavior, as there are certainly parents out there who would sacrifice themselves for their children, perhaps even in greater number irl than people willing to sacrifice themselves for their romantic partners. Despite the immense physical power Rai possesses, Frankenstein insists that there is a sort of purity and innocence to him, so much so that be has complete faith that he can do no wrong when it comes to taking possession of Frankenstein’s own soul.

I still really like the more romantic or adult interpretation of their relationship too, of course, but perhaps I will explore this alternative interpretation some more as well in future writings.

Genderbending time!!! I drew Previous Lord and Raizel!!!

I gave PL the fanciest outfit in my entire genderbender cast lol. Fancy. Shiny. Gorgeous. Oh my~~ you’ll be blinded if you look at her for too long. Raskreia’s funny mom-lord, known for her eccentric personality. Tries to make her stoic son smile just a biiiit more, and turn that frown upside down. C’mon! Mom’s trying her best. Ehh, maybe it didn’t work this time. But that’s okay. Her son doesn’t always understand her actions but he greatly respects her. Funny mom-lord cares a lot about Raizel and encourages her to live a free life. Splits her soul weapon and leaves one to Raizel, shocking her son and heir, as well as everyone else. Still likes to tease people after entering eternal sleep. Karias jokes around and claims to be her daughter.

Rai doesn’t really change that much. Still Rai. She just wants to stare outside her window… for now. Once had an older sister. Executed her sister with her own hands for abusing the power of the Blood Stone. Peak elegance. Eventually attends Yeran High School and immediately becomes the most popular girl at her school. Befriends human children and her fellow students, including an athletic girl, a nerdy girl, a cute guy and a celebrity guy. Favorite food is cheap instant noodles. Still doesn’t know how to eat banana. Send help plz.

Anddddd this is the last one of the bunch!! They’re done!! Woo!! I’ll still be doodling all of these designs from my genderbender series here and there but this is it for the fullbody drawings lol. Soo happy I got through everything I wanted!!

You might notice that some nobles are missing. I left those out since I felt like their designs would be too similar to some of the ones I already have here. Maaaybe I’ll do them someday if I feel like it, but idk yet; anyways this is it for now.

My opinion in general about this one:

especially about Rai. He just soo sweet and kind. I genuinely have a crush on him. I also like the others. They are portrayed very well, learning things, and getting stronger and more mature.

I 100% recommend it.
