:O oh my god you’re so right…… here’s a little freshman year-era drabble for you. thank you for this.
“Hey,” Fig said with a grin, pushing open the door to Jawbone’s apartment and seeing Adaine curled up on the couch with a book, “what are you reading?”
Adaine looked up, surprised, but then grinned when she saw Fig in the doorway, snowflakes dusting her hair. “I told you you didn’t have to come over in the snow,” she said, gently shutting the book.
Fig shrugged and grinned back. “I wanted to see you.”
Her cheeks flushing red, Adaine pulled her jacket tighter around her and patted the cushion next to her. “Well then why are you just standing in the doorway?”
Fig laughed brightly, taking off her own light jacket and joining Adaine on the couch.
Almost immediately, Adaine curled into her side. “You’re always warm,” she mumbled, burying her face in Fig’s shoulder.
“And you’re always cold,” Fig countered with a grin, but she wrapped an arm around Adaine’s shoulder and pulled her closer.
They stayed like that, curled into each other, and Adaine felt warmer than ever before.
