I saw this and thought this was a good snack box idea for those on the go or those who work or even at home meal prep! #4 and #5 are definitely going to be in my fridge this week!

So I’m just about done with the 14-day trial of noom...
I’ve actually really like it! I decided to fork out the $159 for 6 months and commit myself to work through it and see what happens!
Day 12 today and the app told me to treat myself 😂 apparently it’s a positive reinforcement thing but it’s not scheduled so you never know when it coming. Instead of picking something food, I opted for buy myself (and the fam) an air popper for popcorn and some of the all natural spice flavorings. I’m SO excited!
Day 1: 220 lbs
Day 12: 213.8 lbs
Total lost: 6.2 lbs

March 11, 2021
I have always been a bigger girl and going to the doctors has always been something I despised. I haven’t had a primary care physician in the last five years, yikes! However I have always been obsessed with my weight. Around this time last year I was at the heaviest I’ve ever been. Today I can say proudly that I am 60lbs down and I’m not going to stop. I have finally conquered the all or nothing mindset with health and weight loss and am now focusing on attainable goals.

Snack Time!
This is one single gala apple slices. I weighed by the gram bc the number for a single apple seemed a little steep and I was right :) I like to dip them in the greek yogurt! The caramel apple pie flavor is AMAZING. Best of all both are green foods!

1 Week In
I just started Noom on a whim about a week ago. I saw an ad on Facebook while I was scrolling on my phone around 3am, and decided to check out their trial. As a skeptic, I didn’t like that I had to pay to recieve the trial.
In the sign up process, they let you choose what to pay for the free trial. I went with the $1 option to see if I could stick with it, and so far I have.
When I first started this, I had just moved out of a place where I had very little control over my meals and portion sizes. I left there at 318 lbs, the heaviest I’ve ever been.
Yesterday when I woke up, I weighed myself and discovered I’m down 5lbs (I know this contains my water weight fluctuations as well, but it still feels good) and I’m already feeling motivated to keep going.
How have I been doing this? With Noom psychology and a little bit of Nintendo Switch Fitness Boxing. The positivity and lessons in Noom keep me on track so that I actually understand my portions and how much of each food I should be eating based on how caloric dense they are. The fitness boxing game makes sweating seem fun (I hate sweating) and gives me some healthy competition with my Significant Other (S.O.).
The boxing game keeps me motivated with simple positive praise and a lovely stamp for completing each daily work out. The only hard thing, is keeping going every day when my legs are so sore.
Here’s to another week of boxing and nooming!

Holy sh*+
I just realized I blew past my first major goal weight!!!
216.6 pounds was the weight i was when I gave birth to my second child.
I’m 6 pounds below that as of today!!!
Next goal is a week or two away from being reached!!!
206 pounds was how much I weighed the day I gave birth to my first child.
Before Christmas I will be reaching my third goal!
199.9 pounds. I have not seen a 1 at the front of my weight since the trauma of the “beast”. Reaching that number will be emotional for me and I fully believe for the first time that it’s less than a month away. I have it this time. Noom rocks

Noom - Day 1
Today I joined Noom having had it recommended by my mum. She's shared with me what's involved and how she's getting along which made me think doing some posts about my journey as I go along might be helpful for other people. I am not affiliated with Noom in any way, nor are they giving me free membership or even know that I'm going to post about my journey. I'm totally impartial and this will be very honest.
First, a little about me, I'm 29, female and haven't had any kids. Three years or so ago, I had reached my heaviest weight of 15st 5 and joined Weight Watchers which then changed its name to WW. Over a year or so I got down to 10st 10 but due to various factors (job stress and changes, mental health issues, general complacency with my food habits etc.) my weight gradually increased before taking a sharp increase during lockdown. My starting weight is 14st 5.2lb and I'm aiming to get to 9st 7lb (though that may change over time).
I know what I should be eating and have proven to myself that I can lose the weight before, but I now realise that I really need to change my relationship with food and the way my mood impacts my diet. Hence giving Noom a try, the fact it utilises CBT and relates it to food sounds perfect for me, but we'll see.
Today's content was all about calorie density and the idea that it's the volume of food you eat that makes you feel full rather than the number of calories. The lower the calorie to weight ratio of the foods you eat, the less calories you need to consume to feel satisfied. At its heart, weight loss happens when you use more calories than you eat, so being fuller on less calories makes total sense to me.
Noom categorise foods on a traffic light system based on how calorie dense they are and allocates you a calorie budget with suggested amounts of calories per category. My budget looks like this:
1200 calories overall
300 red
540 yellow
Unlimited green (within the overall budget)
By the time I'd got up and gone shopping for food I'd missed breakfast and needed something quite quickly for lunch, I remembered from my WW days that Subway is usually a fairly healthy fast food option so I grabbed something from there before heading out to do more shopping! Obviously, it's day one, I've been really mindful about food today, I've made overnight oats to try tomorrow (I'll be sure to talk about how they were tomorrow) and have leftovers from tonight's tea for tomorrow. I promise my food diary won't always be ideal but here's what I had today and how that looks on Noom:
Subway 6 inch chicken tikka sub with cheese, some salad and sweet chilli sauce
Black bean chicken and vegetable stir fry with Singapore noodles
5 squares (25g) Galaxy chocolate
Berry medley fruit tub
1047 overall
241 red
615 yellow
191 green
According to my Garmin, I've done 4948 steps and have burned 2286 calories overall (including the calories burned just by existing!).
I've not felt hungrier than normal, but sleeping through half the day might have something to do with that :p let's see how tomorrow goes and just take it a day at a time.

I haven’t shared this with most people, but I have been working hard to change my lifestyle around to lose weight. Through the help of @noom I am officially down 20 lbs. This is my weight graph since I started in December. I wanted to share this to show that just because you may go up in weight one or two days not to give up. One thing that Noom has taught me is that I don’t have to give up my favorite treats in order to lose weight, but rather finding balance to include those things in my life. (I have not been paid to say this) #noomnation #consistency #lifestylechanges https://www.instagram.com/p/B-PI_16gpWGyC17_ieeVeiHlezMvlfK7jQHFsM0/?igshid=1npjzonja9895

I’ve been down a lot lately. It feels like there’s a lot trying to pull me down. But when I get positive messages from friends and my @noom coach (shout-out to Keaton!) it definitely helps. It also helps to see where I was a year ago. . Y’all this was me one year ago. Yes, it was a 20’s party. 68 pounds heavier, hating myself, doubting every little thing I did, and not at all liking what I had let myself become. Thinking back, it’s no wonder my knee hurt all the time. I always carrying around SO MUCH needless weight. . I know I still have a ways to go. But seeing the progress so far, for sure helps!! @noom @thepepper_grind (you rock, girl!! Thanks for not giving up on me!) #noom #noomnation #buildinghealthyhabits #weightlossjourney #nocanaries #oneyearago #68pounds #iwasawhale #ihaveajawlinenow https://www.instagram.com/p/B04k_vqBoyZ/?igshid=jb57eapgl7rx

So I hate weighing myself everyday. I know that weight fluctuations are totally normal but I just hate seeing it every morning. I think I’m going to go back to weighing once a week... I respect noom’s program and I am really enjoying it but I need to make it work for me and this is one thing I’m going to put my foot down about.
