I'm sorry, but zoe and yara didn't happen yet but it STEPS on isi/sascha and finn/mailin so hard, like you know the new writers are bad when the background couple is already 10000 times more interesting than their main ones

Wasn't sascha whole personality not really liking Isi's friends and thinking they were fancy + not liking to go partying/drinking, and talking about not wanting to go to parties bc Isi would just get drunk??? And weren't people all over Lou last season because she drinked and somehow"influenced" Isi to do so?? Now suddently that s7 is over Sascha is all hanging out with KM and Finn, going to all the parties, and drinking/doing shots.... And no one is saying a thing about it. I guess he never had real personality in the first place, and drinking it's just bad when plus sized girls do it huh

No but if yara is the girl zoe is crushing on, i'll like it, but i'm gonna be so sad because they CLEARLY could've used her as the li for s7 and i'll never get over how the storyline would be much better with her than just adding two white characters with almost no personality, one as a fake li and another as a the "real" li who barely had any development with Isi

Funny Ish posted an story about how she never wanted to be a white mans coon again and hating cooing for white people's pleasure + made sure to point out this had to do with her workplace, and now we suddently have Ava acting like Mailin's personal cheerleader, and having to support her in her speeches, in a season that was obviously supposed to be about her...

Remember when sex wasn't a big deal for the old writers, and they were able to talk about it without oversexualizing their characters and made the girls have normal discussions surrounding it? Also them showing consent and being respectful portraying the scenes that actually involved it, like in season two? I mean, what the fuck is up with these new writers/team adding unnecessary scenes between three characters then recommending videos about polynamorous relationships when there was never poly representation in the show? Making a character randomly assault the main and keep them all friends like this was normal behaviour ? And all of the sudden making their female characters just post provocative pics and give suggestive texts when that was never a thing in the show? Not to mention adding a bad light to characters more inclined to physical intimacy/different forms of relatioships( like zoe and lou), while making characters who aren't, seem like the good/right love interests (like sascha and mailin) compared to them? Like seriously... it's weird, and if this is them trying to do ace representation... you don't have to oversexualize your other characters or put the ones who are more sexual as "bad guys"???? You can simply talk about assexuality?

Are they really going to to break up nora/josh or kieu my/fatou when sascha and isi are right there??? I'm sorry, but spiderwitz and kietou were literally the only good couples of the new gen, not to mention the only ones who had good development. It makes no sense to make them break up for some sort of "impact" while letting couples who have unbalaced/underdeveloped relationships be together ( that includes finn/mailin, and ava/mervan).

After we found out this isn't ava season, I want to discuss how badly druck and skam in general have treated fat characters over the years.
The ONLY fat character we had in the og skam was Chris, and she was mainly used as comical relief, instead of getting a storyline for herself. While the romances between the other girls were seen as serious, Chris hook ups with guys and attempts to flirt, were always represented as something "funny", having Isak and even her own friends laugh at her in such scenes. The two versions of Chris in the remakes who got more of their own story shown, was Cris from skam españa, who was playbed by what? A skinny actress, and Alexia from skam france, who was sidelined as Arthur's love interest for a skinny actress aswell.
Now we get druck having one fat character in the show: Ava, then introducing another fat girl, Lou, only for her to be used as a fake love interest for a character who was confirmed as fatphobic to Ava, got a season before her, and had their acrions excused by a four minute clip. And who ended up being the real love interest in the season? A skinny guy.
Hanna, the main character on druck season one, was also just given space to talk in one scene about how bullied she was for being "the fat girl" when she was younger, and apparently "saved by Leonie" because she decided to be her friend.
Now, season 8, that was antecipated by many to be a season about Ava, was given instead to Mailin, another white skinny girl who had way less development than Ava as a character, and way less story to tell.
So fat characters, or mainly fat girls, in skamverse are either not present, and if they are, their characters are constantly sidelined, (usually by skinny actresses and actors), used as comic relief, and never shown to be truly desired or desirable. They can never be love interests, and they can never be mains, instead they can only play characters who are in the background, no matter how much potential they have. Their stories always have to centered around being bullied by their weight, or being made fun of, but yet fatphobia and it's repercussions is never explored as a real theme in the show.
It's just really hurtful to see skam after skam remake cast talented plus sized actresses only for that to be their roles. And is especially hurtful seeing this coming from druck when Ava's actress actually speaks out by fatphobia and body positivity, and that's obviously an important issue for her.

I'm sorry but skam france not thanking Ayumi for her work in season 9? When she was the main actress? And now the whole cast winning an award for the show, but her not being present and nobody even mentioning her when the last season was hers? This at the same time Aicha (ava from druck) spoke out about people in her line of work forcing her to stay silent about white priviledge, when druck not only sidelided Ava in season 7 but gave season 8 to another white character that had no backstory at all?
It's clear druck and skam france are clearly not treating their woc actresses well or giving the respect they deserve, so in all honesty? fuck them both for that and fuck their new seasons. Do not give them any more views.
I hope Aicha and Ayumi know how loved they are by the audience and get to be recognized in much better projects.

People being like "you don't know if Ish post is about druck" like Druck's new team didn't solve Isi's fatphobia towards Ava in a four minute clip (while Ish is someone who talks and cares about body positivity), then casted her aside and decided have more screentime about the struggles of white character that barely had any personality, Sascha, regarding Isi's actions over hers? In the same season they also used a plus sized girl as a fake li, and gave more attention to new white characters instead of the poc main/their poc friends?
And not only that, but they also didn't have Ava in the final episode, and gave season 8 to a white character who had no background story whatsoever, while Ava had plenty that was being developed during season 5 and season 6? The very same character who was totally insensitive about race issues to both Fatou and Ava?
Druck had a very different concept by the start of season 5, and that was what the actors signed up to. It was clear that Ava had an important storyline and role for the old writers, but that suddently seemed to change in season 7. I'm glad Ish is speaking out and letting her feelings be known, because she deserves a whole lot better than this.
Finishing that thought, I know you love the characters, but do not give druck s8 any views. Especially now that even the cast is letting us know the situation is not ok at all. The new team sure as hell don't deserve the attention, or any praise. If you want to support the actors, try to watch and follow their other works, and let them know of that support, especially when they are trying to let themselves be heard, like Ish did.

I can't believe skam france did a better job at exploring how relationships can become unhealthy due to different problems, and how that can affect the people inside them, rather than druck, who simply put two people who had an very unhealthy friendship in a romantic relationship by "solving" their issues in less then two weeks

The thing that makes me even more uneasy with this is that they obviously based the other seasons in the original ones, so druck s8 is most likely supposed to be based on Sana's season...And they chose to have a white main for it.

Friendly reminder that Isi never apologized to Nora for helping Constantin bully her when even Constantin himself apologized, only apologized to Ava after Sascha mentioned getting closer to her again, and never bothered to tell him what she did to Ava all this time they were close.

Love how Kieu My and Sascha both confirmed Isi treated him the same way Constantin treated them, and Sascha still had no idea Isi bullied the hell out of their childhood friend??? Like how more unhealthy do you want them to be??

The way druck excused Isi body shaming Ava for years with 4 minute clip, casted a fat girl in season 7 to be a fake love interest to a main that was literally fatphobic to their friend, only so a skinny guy could be the real LI. And now just gave a season that clearly should be Ava's, to a white skinny girl who had way less story/development than her. They really said fatphobia rights!!!!

Are you seriously asking why people have a hard time believing why Sascha ever liked Isi? Maybe because they bullied their friend and were fatphobic to her for years? Because she lied to him throughout the whole season? Because she constantly ignored him? Maybe because she ditched him to hang out with Lou and Constantin more than once? Maybe because every clip we had for 7 episodes was all Isi talking about her and never listening to him? Because Sascha said she treated him the way Constantin treated her and their relationship was toxic?
You can ship whatever you want, but be confused as to why people don't see the appeal on Isi after they wrote her in a way that mostly shown her being unhealthy to Sascha and overall a bad friend, is just trying to deny bad writing.
