#norse god prayer beads
Planning on making some pagan prayer beads to sell, and I wanted to see if I could get a feel for how the community felt about different design choices! The exact layout of the beads isn't important here, just the style/shape!

So awhile back, my purse and a few other things got stolen, including my freya prayer/meditation beads. So I made new ones. It's not quite the same as the other ones, but I like these very much. I feel this captivates her warrior side and her motherly aspects with a touch of the Maiden.

This necklace is hand made with death and time in mind this piece is inspired by Greek God Thanatos and the Norse Goddess Hel. This Prayer Beads has a semi Hour Glass pendant that is timed at only a few seconds. This necklace is also inspired by the Angel of Death Azrael. This piece is made with Garnet, Onyx and Howlite and tarnish resistant wire, resistant not proof so please keep in mind when cleaning.
This piece is long enough to slip over your head, no clasp needed but I can add one if you want, please message me right after purchase or leave it in notes.
While support my small business you also support other small businesses which I buy from. This includes a local Native American bead vendor and an elder mom and pops shop. Thank you so much for choosing my designs.

I have finished the Coursea course. Did so at the weekend, but there wasn't enough info about the gods to satisfy me. When I did one of the Egyptology courses last year, there were quite a lot of links to museum websites which had information on the various gods. I would have liked something like this with the Norse Mythology one. On the plus side, there are lots of written sources to explore when it comes to sagas and histories. In the early/mid 2000's, I did some adult learning courses with the University of Sheffield on Natural History and Archeology which were quite disappointing, especially the archeology ones because they hardly touched written sources. I have found a website with information on it and I plan to make notes from that - in a new notebook. I learn things better when I write them down. I also want to do research into prayer beads. I am unlikely to ever take part in blots because I am a solitary heathen - I've looked into many of the groups that exist, and most don't appeal to me because they seem to lean a lot into far-right tendencies. I don't always agree with left politics, especially modern socialism but the far right is worse in many ways so it's best avoided.

It's that time of the year again. I want to write down my personal prayers for a prayer beads necklace, but I know I will never use them. The mere act of writing prayers is so viciously tempting I cannot resist. It's a daily thought. I have plenty of unwritten prayers I want to put on paper, but I'm so desperately, awfully incompetent. Words fly like birds of prey whenever I try to capture them with ink. Gracious Gods, why can't I just sit and write fluently for once? Why did you decide to punish me with this - heart warming songs I cannot express without feeling so helpless because of my scarce talent? And yet my thoughts are all for You.

Symbols of Loki?
I’ve  been wanting to offer Loki prayer beads in  my shop for quite a while, but I can’t seem to determine which imagery best symbolizes the god.
I keep going back and forth between Fire and Fox, but I also keep wondering whether there is a better option that just hasn’t occurred to me. (I love the classic image of Sleipnir but it is so strongly associated with Odin that I would hesitate to use it for Loki). And if there is a generally accepted Loki symbol I haven’t come across it yet.
Anyone have any ideas? It’s really the only thing holding me back from adding it to the shop and I really feel like it should be in there!

Lokean Prayer
I use this for my own set of prayer beads when I pray.
Tumblr media
Loki, I hope you hear my praise and devotion in these prayers.
Thank you for lighting up my world in the way that you do. Please help me to embrace the chaos and change in my life. I love you for all that you have been, are, and will continue to be. I apologize if I stagnate, but I promise I am trying my best to please you and better myself. Hail to you, Loki, for our world is so much better with you in it.
Hail the flame haired! Hail the silver tongued! Hail the kind of heart! Hail the harbinger of change! Hail Loki!

Recent anon. Rewording: are there any unusual godspouse individuals or groups you've encountered? I've found a massive representation of a handful of deities in the Tumblr godspouse community all reporting the same sorts of things. I'm curious about what sorts of variations exist out there beyond the loudest here.
Ooh, this gives me some good wiggle room. Thank you for clarifying.
This is mostly about deities, but some of it can apply to spirit partnerships as well.
Most Popular Deities for Godspouses:
Norse, especially Loki / Odin or both The prevalence of facist and hate groups in Norse circles that focus on Odin often makes those potential godspouses who are fascinated by his Various Ways (queer, trickster, wanderer, war-tired, etc) a little skittish around him because they need to unlearn the (false) idea Odin is The Authoritative White Cis Warmongerer
Apollo Love y'all, but the godspousing circuit adores Apollo/n. You cannot get enough of him. Personally, I think the attraction lies in a combination of Pretty Person + God of Truth / Healing, which is tempting to people who want to feel extra safe in a non-corporeal relationship
Badass and/or Warrior Lady Freyja, Artemis, Hel seems to be popular too. It's about finding empowerment in a traditionally dismissed gender, and also wanting a HBIC Wife to hold you, tightly. Sometimes crafting or traditionally feminine maker-arts are involved, as well.
Trends:
Unintentionally engaging with a deity from each major pantheon, ex. Norse, Hellenic, "Celtic", or similarly eclectic spreads of partners
Either partnered with a demon OR an angel, almost never both at the same time
There is evidence to support that one post about a certain subgroup really enjoying the Authoritative Man-in-Charge relationship (read: Daddy Dom) with their god
Unintentionally reinventing forms of Christianity as you try and distance yourself from the trauma of Christianity (ex. only one god, who you see as creator/maker, adapting monk-like lifestyle, prayers, rosaries / prayer beads, simplified symbols of that deity that you incorporate into your everyday life like one does the Cross)
Starting out with a friends-with-benefits relationship with a deity then falling in love and panicking, which makes it terribly difficult to figure out your feelings and makes it even more difficult to accurately interpret divination on the subject
Quirks (derogatory) of the Community:
Subset that demands worship be connected to godspousing and that godspouses are just Special Priests
Quite frankly, the number of <20 year olds who show up claiming they are a Priest of [Deity], yes I'm old and grouchy, don't @ me
Minors who think they should be allowed to do whatever, whenever, because there's no physical component to the relationship
Newly 18 year olds (adults) who casually drop into chat that they've been having an intimate relationship with a deity for X years, and then we're just supposed to be automatically supportive and not ask Questions
"[Deity] caused [Major World Event] and I know because they told me personally, and they said it was sad but it was for the good of the people"
Subset (often the same as point #1) that thinks it's okay for a deity to force their way into your life and divinely harass you or enact lifestyle changes on you that you're not into, and that you should just let it happen because the Gods Know Best
"Godspousing automatically is cheating if you have an IRL partner" Please be my guest and tell all the Jesus-lovers out there that they're engaging in infidelity every time they proclaim Jesus as their Lord and Husband-to-Be
Shock value partners, i.e. the occasional person wanders in with the edgelord sentimentality and has a collection of edgy partners, mostly demons, gods of death, sometimes pop culture entities. All these are fine individually, but I'm talking about a very specific collection of partners that makes you wanna go listen to Heaven Help Us or the Taste of Ink
"Godspousing = Religious" No, please don't go here, please don't be this person. it can be! But altars, prayers, and hymns are not the gold-standard of godspousing

Yule, the Winter Solstice
Begins on Winter Solstice and lasts 12 days (Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year, December 21st)
Focuses on rebirth and renewal as the sun makes it way back to the earth. New beginnings with magical workings and welcome light and warmth into your home
History: There are many variations of yule throughout the world. The Norse people celebrated Jul and viewed it as a time for feasting and merrymaking. Icelandic sagas believed it was a time of sacrifice. The Yule log, decorated Christmas tree, and wassailing can be traced back to the Norse people. Little is known of what the Celts did as celebration but it is said they sacrificed a white bull and gathered mistletoe in celebration. The Romans had a week long party full of merrymaking and debauchery that involved gift-giving, sacrifice, special privileges for slaves, and feasting. Ancient Egyptians celebrated the sun daily until they realized the cooler weather and cycle of life coincided.
Decorate your altar with blues, silvers, reds, greens, and whites for the season. The reds help with chakra work because it is associated with chakra root. White helps focus on purifying. Gold can also be incorporated because it is associated with the sun and coincides with Yule.
Symbols of Yule include gold discs, yellow candles, anything bright and shiny, a large pillar candle with solar symbols, evergreen boughs, sprigs of holly, pinecones, Yule log, Santa Claus, Antlers/reindeer, fruits (fresh apples/oranges), nuts (walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts), snowflakes, icicles, bowl of snow, candy canes, bells, and sunwheels
Prayer to the Earth- Cold and dark, this time of year, the earth lies dormant, awaiting the return of the sun, and with it, life. Far beneath the frozen surface, a heartbeat waits, until the moment is right, to spring.
Yule Sunrise Prayer- The sun returns! The light returns! The earth begins to warm once more! The time of darkness has passed, and a path of light begins the new day. Welcome, welcome, the heat of the sun, blessing us all with its rays.
Yule Sunset Prayer- The longest night has come once more, the sun has set, and darkness fallen. The trees are bare, the earth asleep, and the skies are cold and black. Yet tonight we rejoice, in this longest night, embracing the darkness that enfolds us. We welcome the night and all that it holds, as the light of the stars shines down.
Prayer to the Winter Goddess- O! Mighty goddess, in silvery ice, watching over us as we sleep, a layer of shining white, covering the earth each night, frost on the world and in the soul, we thank you for visiting us. Because of you, we seek warmth in the comfort of our homes and hearths.
Prayer for Counting Blessing- I am grateful for that which I have. I am not sorrowful for that which I do not. I have more than others, less than some, but regardless, I am blessed with what is mine. [If you have a set of pagan prayer beads or a witch's ladder, count off each bead or knot, and consider the things you are thankful for, like so:] First, I am thankful for my health. Second, I am thankful for my family. Third, I am thankful for my warm home. Fourth, I am thankful for the abundance in my life. [Continue counting off your blessings until you have thought of all of the things that enrich your life and the lives of those around you.]
Prayer for the Beginning of Winter- See the gray skies overhead, preparing the way for the bright sun soon to come. See the gray skies overhead, preparing the way, for the world to awake once more. See the gray skies overhead, preparing the way for the longest night of the year. See the gray skies overhead, preparing the way for the sun to finally return, bringing with it light and warmth.
Nordic Yule Prayer- Beneath the tree of light and life, a blessing at this season of Yule! To all that sit at my hearth, today we are brothers, we are family, and I drink to your health! Today we do not fight, We bear no one ill will. Today is a day to offer hospitality to all that cross my threshold in the name of the season.
Snow Prayer- From the reaches of the north, a place of cold blue beauty, comes to us the first winter storm. Wind whipping, flakes flying, the snow has fallen upon the earth, keeping us close, keeping us together, wrapped up as everything sleeps beneath a blanket of white.
Prayer to Old Gods- The Holly King is gone, and the  Oak King reigns— Yule is the time of the  old winter gods! Hail to Baldur! To Saturn! To  Odin! Hail to Amaterasu! To Demeter! Hail to Ra! To Horus! Hail to Frigga, Minerva Sulis and Cailleach Bheur! It is their season, and high in the heavens, may they grant us their blessings this winter day.
Celtic Yule Blessing- The food is put away for the winter, the crops are set aside to feed us, the cattle are come down from their fields, and the sheep are in from the pasture. The land is cold, the sea is stormy, the sky is gray. The nights are dark, but we have our family, kin and clan around the hearth, staying warm in the midst of darkness, our spirit and love a flame, a beacon burning brightly in the night.
Elemental Prayer- As the earth grows colder, the winds blow faster, the fire dwindles smaller, and the rains fall harder, let the light of the sun find its way home.
Prayer to the Sun Gods- Great sun, wheel of fire, sun god in your glory, hear me as I honor you on this, the shortest day of the year. Summer has gone, passed us by, the fields are dead and cold, all of earth sleeps in your absence. Even in the darkest times, you light the way for those who need a beacon, of hope, of brightness, shining in the night. Winter is here, and colder days coming, the fields are bare and the livestock thin. We light these candles in your honor, that you might gather your strength and bring life back to the world. O mighty sun above us, we ask you to return, to bring back to us the light and the warmth of your fire. Bring life back to earth. Bring light back to earth. Hail the sun!

Praying
Hello! First of all, I would like my post to be ignored by any bigot who can’t respect other religions because of the tag ‘praying’. Scroll.
Welcome to another post of mine! Today, I’ll be talking about praying. Now, most baby pagans get confused when this is the case. It’s not the same as they do in abrahamic religions. There are many ways to pray, and I would suggest you to find your own way. However, most Hellenists, Norse pagans, or the ones that worship one god from only one pantheon can research ways to pray. I will leave some resources at the end of my post.
Higher beings should be respected, so you can choose certain times of the day if you also want to stay disciplined. This will be a little hard, but that’s completely fine, you get used to it. Plus, you can add some formality inside. I veil most of the time, cleanse my space and kneel, especially if I’m going to ask for something from my Gods.
You can use prayer beads as well. Chanting their name, enn, anything. I find this useful with Dark Gods and demons, we don’t really worship demons, we just respect them. So, put everything that reminds you of them into the threat and there you go!
Praying is a good way to bond with deities as well. You can write your own ones to them and read it. One of the easiest way to talk to them obviously. Of course, don’t forget to make offerings but if you’re going to praise them, I don’t think it’s necessary.
Thank you for reading my post! I know it’s shorter than most but I didn’t know what else to talk about. Here are some resources:
For Hellenists:
https://hellenicfaith.com/prayer-format/
For Norse pagans:
https://www.northernpaganism.org/resources/prayers-rituals.html
For Celtic pagans:
https://northernway.org/school/onw/prayers.html
For Christo-pagans:
https://northernway.org/cpprayers.html
Etc. etc. I know that there are more branches but these are the reliable ones I’ve found.

Multicultural Harry Potter
So we know the wizarding world is behind on muggle tech
And we’ve seen how European schools operate, specifically with hogwarts, and how old English culture and history is infused throughout (knights, spirits, Latin, castles, dragons, etc)
But what about cultures that are way different?
A Chinese wizarding school. Spells in old mandarin. Traditional Chinese clothes instead of the robes at hogwarts. Buddhism, confusionism, and d/taoism infused into the magic and classes that are taught. More information on dragons.
And similarly, Japan too! Samurai and shintoism. Traditional japanese clothes as uniforms. A more spiritual approach to spellcasting- spirit wards, sage, prayer beads, etc. Not to mention wonderful origami designs and Japanese architecture! I think their school could be by the water or maybe in it Atlantis-style
Greco-roman wizarding schools with lotsve great mythology (Pegasus, nymphs, gorgons…). Divination is BIG at these schools (oracles, astrology). Togas and tunicas and stolas. Maybe patron gods instead of houses (that might be a little too percy Jackson tho). Gladiators and Spartans and Roman soldiers!
And in Africa!! Bantu-based spells. Maybe Islamic and voodoo influences (depending on where in Africa you come from). A far more naturalistic approach to magic with emphasis on animals and plants.
Beautiful architecture and clothes in middle eastern wizarding schools. Islamic and jewish influences of course. Hijabs with moving patterns, no iconography so instead of moving pictures the geometric architecture shifts and changes. Old Arabic or Hebrew or something else I’m not educated on to be the base for spells.
Slavic/Eastern European wizarding schools with huge fur coats, great defense against the dark arts classes, and a bunch of vampire rights activism.
Norse and Germanic schools with heavy viking themes.
Latin American schools with lotsve Native American spiritualism. Aztec-like temples, emphasis on gold and beads and spirits… Very colorful buildings and clothes. Festive approaches to death (dia de los muertos!)
I think there was just so much wizard world building that was ignored!!! Culture mixed with wizardry is something we should really look into way more!
I encourage fans who aren’t from Britain, France, or white America to try and add on different ideas for this!
And maybe talk about how a lot of the cultures might mix together or affect each other (specifically in America and Africa)!

Trust in Me Ch8
Hey! Hope you enjoy the latest chapter :)
“Am I not your mother?”
With a pained gasp Loki shot up from his bed, sweat beading on his brow, when would these night terrors end? This nightmare had been a particularly bad one. He could handle the torment of his torturer, the menacing grin, the promises of pain; but the memories of his mother would inflict the most grief. It didn’t matter if they were happy or sad, they were a reminder that she was gone.
Loki could not stay in his room this time, he had to move, he had to distract himself. He made his way to the living room.
At 3am Loki had thought he would be alone, but in the corner next to a small lit lamp was Bella. She was wearing a wool blanket as a shawl, clutching an empty cup of tea in one hand, and in the other a copy of Tess of the d’Urbervilles. Her white fuzzy socks peaked through the cocoon she had made for herself in the armchair; she looked so innocent and content with the world.
“I believe I’ve tracked that as your fourth book of the week.”  Loki spoke softly, grabbing her attention, “and it’s only Wednesday.”
She laughed quietly, “I seem to have chosen some riveting books this week.”
“So riveting they’ve kept you from sleep?” Loki asked.
She shook her head sadly. Loki walked into the kitchen, filled the kettle, and switched it on to boil.
 “Nightmares?” Loki pressed.
Y/N looked thoughtful, “In a way…they make me more sad than frightened.” She explained.
Loki made two cups of tea and brought one over to Bella; she smiled at him gratefully. Loki took a seat on the sofa across from her, looking out the window at the bright lights of New York. His view was obstructed by small gathering raindrops, delicately hanging on the glass.
Y/N had noticed the tired expression on Loki’s face the past few weeks. He tried to disguise it as boredom, but slowly dark circles were forming under his eyes. She had begun to worry for the trickster.
“Is that what’s keeping you awake? The nightmares?” Y/N asked quietly, still afraid of crossing a line.
Loki looked over at her and she could have sworn he seemed relieved; relieved someone had noticed or that he did not have to admit it, she wasn’t sure.
Loki hesitated, debating whether he should divulge this information. The God of lies decided to be honest; she had shown him nothing but trust and he wanted to return the favour.
“Not all of them are nightmares. They are mostly memories, good and bad.” Loki admitted, his voice low, almost inaudible.
A long silence followed, comfortable but weighted. There was a lot to be understood from what had not been said. Y/N knew Loki would not reveal more about his dreams, nor would she reveal the details of her own. It was enough to know that they were both haunted by their pasts.
Loki changed the subject, not wanting to dwell on what he had wanted to escape from.
“I hope Thor is treating you kinder.” He said.
Y/N had noticed Thor had been more hospitable towards her. When making a drink he would offer her one or if asking the group a question he made sure she was included in the conversation. It was a small change, but a significant one. Y/N had wondered if Loki had had something to do with it.
She smiled, “He is. I don’t think we are friends just yet but maybe in time… I don’t blame him for being wary.”
Loki sighed and brushed his hand through his hair. Y/N liked it when he looked casual like this, he seemed relaxed with her and in turn she relaxed with him.
“My brother should know better than to judge a person for their family. How many would judge him due to their hatred for Odin?” He scoffed.
Bella’s lip quirked upwards remembering her father, “My father would be on that list.”
Loki looked up at her, noting her startled expression, as though the words had slipped out of their own accord.
“Oh? Your father did not care for the almighty Odin?” Loki said, with a devilish grin and a humorous tone.
His teasing smile gave Y/N the permission she needed to carry on without fear of causing offence.
“My father did not care for the Gods. His brother Regin was devoted to Odin, he even raised his sons to worship him. But my father always told me to never trust the Gods.” Y/N said, hearing her father’s words echo through her head.
Loki was surprised. Despite the Tatum Clan being unpopular in Asgard, they were devoted subjects. He would hear their battle cries to Thor on their many raids. He suspected this dedication would dwindle throughout time, but he hadn’t expected a Tatum to cast aside the Gods outright.
“May I ask why? He asked curiously.
She remembered her father’s warning, “He said that people spend their entire lives trying to please the Gods, to interpret their teaching and follow them whole heartedly; but the Gods are fickle, what they would teach, they would reinterpret, never to be satisfied with what man can offer. He said he would not live his life depending on their false courtesies and small mercies.”
 Y/N stopped and smiled.
“This annoyed my uncle to no end.” She chuckled, “I think my father would say it just to annoy him.”
Loki chuckled with her, “Your father sounds like a wise man. Your uncle’s faith never wavered?”
Y/N shook her head, “He remained loyal to Odin most of his life. He had four strong sons with strong Norse names. He thanked the Gods for them every day, prayed for their safety every day, begged for their bright futures every day.” Y/N’s voice grew quieter towards the end.
Loki noticed her smile had grown sad. “Most of his life?”
“My cousins… Regin’s sons, were some of the first to die when the family were…well.” She never knew what to call the demise of her family, a slaughter? A cull?
“Regin felt as though his prayers had been ignored. He asked my father why Odin had forsaken him; my father simply told him what he had always told me, that Gods are fickle. They say on his last day Regin did not pray.” She spoke sadly, “Despite my father’s waring, I do hope he and his boys are in Valhalla…it’s all he wanted.” Y/N said.
Loki pondered her father’s words. Pandering to ‘false courtesies and small mercies,’ is that not what Loki had done his entire life?  Had he not waited for scraps of kindness from his supposed father only to be condemned for doing just what the Allfather had done himself? Odin had hated the Tatum’s, maybe Rafael was the reason why. Could Rafael see what others had been blind to?
Y/N could feel Loki overthinking, she could see it in his eyes too. When Tony began to worry a simple touch of his hand would soothe him; Y/N did not wish to be too forward with Loki, so she changed her method of comfort.
Y/N tightened her blanket around her shoulders and grabbed a few cushions from the neighbouring sofas. She scattered them in front of the giant window, arranging them much like she did the night they watched the fireworks. She sat down in the little den of cushions, looked over to Loki and patted the spot next to her.
Loki was slightly bewildered by her actions. For a woman wise beyond her years, he had never seen her look so youthful and relaxed. The seat she offered was inviting, it promised warmth and comfort. He took her offer and sat down beside her.
The pitter-patter of rain against the window was calming. They watched the city continue to go about its business for a little while before Belle spoke up.
“My Uncle told me many stories about the Gods when I was a little girl. Did Thor really dress up as the Goddess Freya?”
Loki couldn’t hold back his laughter, “Yes my dear, he did. It all started when the giant Thrym snuck into Asgard…”
Loki continued to recount Norse tales from long ago for many more hours. They grew more and more tired as the night went on and eventually fell asleep on the pile of cushions. Y/N was the first to fall asleep, her head resting against Loki’s shoulder; not long after, Loki gave in and rested his head on top of hers, he drifted into a dreamless sleep.
Loki awoke just two hours later; the tower was still quiet, and the sky was still dark. He looked down to see Y/N resting peacefully in his arms, they appeared to have gravitated closer together in their sleep.
She was curled into Loki’s side, safe and secure. Loki had one arm tucked behind his head, the other wrapped around the young woman beside him. His cheek rested against her forehead, the gentle flutter of her eyelashes brushing against his chin.
Loki couldn’t shift the feeling of contentment, no matter how hard he tried to convince himself that it meant nothing. The warmth of her body soothed him, her even breathing calmed him. It was the first time he had slept without his memories interrupting him.
It was a big statement of trust for Y/N to fall asleep in front of him, one that Loki would not take for granted.
Slowly and carefully, he lifted her into his arms and carried her over to the sofa. After making sure her head was gently placed upon one of the soft cushions, he draped her blanket over her sleeping form.
Loki made his way to his own bed and tried to continue his peaceful slumber, but for some reason, when he closed his eyes, he felt like something was missing.
Y/N was confused by her surroundings when she awoke the next day. When the memories of the night before came back to her, she blushed profusely and hoped she had not offended Loki by being so forward.
“How come you slept out here?” She heard, making her jump off the sofa and onto the floor in shock.
She turned to find Bucky smirking down at her.
“Bucky you scared me!” She said regaining her lost breath.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” He said sheepishly.
Y/N felt guilty, “I know…I’m sorry. I’m not quite awake yet.” She got up and made her way to the kitchen where a fresh pot of coffee was brewing.
Bucky smiled, “That’s okay, I was just wondering if you wanted anything from the bakery?”
Y/N looked at him surprised, “You’re going out today?”
Like Bella, Bucky did not leave the tower much. He would go out much more frequently than she would, but he had fears of his own. Loud noises startled Bucky, but over the last year or so, he had tried to get used to them and pushed himself to go visit new places.
“Steve is going with me. It’s been a week since I last went out and he’s getting anxious.” Bucky chuckled at his friend’s over protectiveness.
Y/N gave him a big smile, “That’s great Bucky.”
As they made a small shopping list for Bucky’s bakery trip, Loki came into the room. He hadn’t interacted much with the winter soldier, but he seemed civil.
Y/N noticed Loki enter and found that she felt something akin to nervousness. Was it nerves? Why did she feel this strange flutter in the pit of her stomach? She felt her skin heat up too, making her aware that her cheeks had turned as red as cherries.
Bucky noticed this change in his friend, he had never seen her so flushed. It was somewhat entertaining.
 “Morning.” Loki said.
“Morning.”  Bucky replied with no malice or trepidation.
“Yes morning, it’s…um…morning.” Y/N fumbled over her words.
What on earth had gotten into her.
Loki also noticed this change, but believed she merely felt embarrassed about having fallen asleep together. Loki wasn’t offended by this; to rest with someone is an intimate act, especially for someone as timid as Bella. He just hoped she did not regret it.
“Okay…” Bucky said, trying to move away from the awkwardness of the encounter, “I’m heading to the bakery if you want anything?” Bucky asked Loki.
 “The bakery?” Loki questioned.
“It’s just around the corner from here. I can show you if you like?” Bucky offered.
Loki hesitated, “I’m not sure that is wise…”
“If it helps, Steve’s going to be there to make sure I don’t mess up and scare everyone. I’m sure he can babysit the both of us.” Bucky smirked.
His dry sense of humour had caught Loki off-guard. Loki had been somewhat made aware of the circumstances that brought the soldier to the tower. Bucky’s situation was not too dissimilar to his own.
“Well if you think he can handle it...” Loki joked, earning a chuckle from Bucky.
Bucky got up from his seat, “They don’t call him a super soldier for nothing, shall we?”
Loki was about to follow Bucky to the elevator but stopped to speak to Y/N first. He suddenly felt very shy.
“We could go to the library this afternoon… if you wanted?” he asked.
Y/N was surprised, but so very happy. She lowered her head, hoping her hair would shield the pink of her cheeks from his gaze. “I would like that.”
Loki smiled, “I had better get us some pastries then.”
With that he left, leaving Y/N to think about the God of Mischief and how good it felt to have him so close.
