Doesn't that mean if a planet doesn't have the same history and the energy stones formed naturally as byproducts of energy flow/in response to pokemon as idk gifts and pokemon needed the evolution glow to properly grow and change since the beginning you're disrupting like the natural order into something it's not? Fixing something that wasn't necessarily broken the same way it had been in your world?

↓ Me talking below the cut because I'm super normal about them ↓

Nightshade (she/her), Night for short, is Varin's Corviknight. Snap (she/they) is Akki's Hydreigon. Akki and Varin are together all the time anyway so it works out. Spoilers but Akki ends up trading Snap to Varin so it double works out. They're amazing double battle partners, so they destroy in team-up battles with their two trainers, but this ends up being the reason Akki trades Snap to Varin. Snap isn't unhappy but she's a bit of a misfit on Akki's team anyway. And Varin is super into double battles.

Night is confident and charming, and she has kind of a "the popular girl at school" personality. She's generally widely liked and has a broad influence over the pokémon she knows. She's considered the glue that holds her team together. I'd imagine her sounding and acting like Grace from Inf1nity Train, to an extent of course.

Snap is a bit of an outcast in her own team. She's not disliked, and it's not that they don't get along well, but she doesn't really mesh well with their dynamic. They're all very bold, outgoing pokémon for the most part, and she's more reserved and prefers a quiet environment with one-on-one conversation. This meshes great with Varin's team, which is made up of a lot of friendly, but quieter and more reserved pokémon. I'd imagine her sounding like Norma from D3ad End: Paranormal Park.

In my fanon Hydreigons' puppet hands are semi-conscious. The pokédex states that they're not conscious, but it feels weird that Zweilous evolves a second head and then it just goes away upon final evolution. (I have a whole thing about how the pokédex seems like a bunch of urban legends and how the accuracy seems to vary depending on who wrote it, but I'll spare you that rant.) This is kinda where the "they" in Snap's she/they comes from. Like Snap would be a she/they regardless but sometimes "they" is more applicable because the hands are kinda alive. They'd probably be a bit single-minded and wouldn't be able to talk, but they do have a mind of their own.

Another fanon thing: Snap has the spots Deinos have in their little manes. While keeping pre-evolution traits isn't necessarily a red flag, it can be a sign of a pokémon who was overtrained and forced to evolve early. Sometimes they just keep their markings! Pokémon are very variable in pattern and such in my fanon. But sometimes it can be a sign of an early evolution. If or not this is the case with Snap I will not say, but I will say that neither Akki nor Varin would knowingly do this.

In the games, some trainers have pokémon who are fully evolved despite their level being too low. Like Ghetsis, he has a Hydreigon at level 54. Ten whole levels under the evolution level. This was thought up as a bit of an explanation for that. Early evolution isn't always an abusive and stressful thing when done right, but it's likely to shorten the lifespan of the pokémon, kinda like power feeding a snake. So it's still generally unethical. Some trainers know how to do it right, like gym leaders, but it's typically considered too risky to do and most trainers wouldn't do it anyway.

Bonus doodle + some context

Irida and Pluto aren’t a super serious couple, but Pluto got attached to her because of how easily she understands him, and the fact she doesn’t stress him out. She likes him for similar reasons, though she’s still a little freaked out about one of her God’s children wanting court her.

Pluto doesn’t talk unless he’s wholly comfortable, so only Palkia and his mother have really heard his voice. He opens up to Irida after a while, but he still struggles with full sentences.

Also, about Irida being a prophet. Palkia gave her a very small portion of his power, so now she looks quite a bit like him, can understand pokemon, and can use certain Pokemon Moves. Though, she is neither human nor Pokemon. Prophets become something entirely different, no matter their original species.

I picked Iridiumshipping as a play on Irida’s name + a reference to Pluto and his family’s association with minerals/elements. I wanted a more radioactive chemical, but I didn’t want to sacrifice the play on Irida’s name.

Some Erin and Anya thoughts... Mostly from Erin's side of things this time rather than focusing on Anyas. They are my blorbos...

-alright so I mentioned before that Anya and Erin just really hit it off and become fast friends surprising to a lot of people. Especially others in the group because normally Anya is usually extremely anxious around new people. But it's kinda surprising to Erin herself? The twos first proper meeting in Darchlight Erin just vibes with this girl she just met far more than she thought she would for someone who happened to fall in the same hole as Broccoli Queen (Derogatory) did. And then of course, Erin starts to learn that hey! This girl also has some interests that she also has! She likes reading, she showed genuine interest in fashion design when the topic happened to come up, like it just kinda naturally became a good friendship after that.

-Being trapped in GDC for like a week and a half because she can't for the life of her find Aelita who just fucking vanished does kinda help with that growing relationship, as between Anya's own mini adventures doing stuff in the city with other characters and that meeting with Cassandra, Anya does join her in trying to look for Aelita. The shared connection of having what is assumed to be the same friend does help even if Erin is growing more and more frustrated at the matter, but even besides that they just kinda fall into hanging out with each other more during this time.

-Erin also just likes Anya's Pokemon. Honestly she does think that Anya has great style and having her team just match her style and aesthetic so well is just a plus. This sort of thing is where the talk of fashion design got brought up. Back to Anya's Pokemon, she just finds it amusing they both have an Absol and Aevian Ampharos. Unlike Anya Erin is able to tell both the Absol apart very easily.

-the free time they get during chapter 12 (reminder this is where I put the majority of the the time frame between the end of chapter 11 and the beginning of 15, as Chapter 13 and 14 are both much shorter in direct time passage) is where Erin and Anya grow close very fast. Like obviously during this time Erin is also getting closer to Melia and Aelita just in generally, but still. Erin just finds herself enjoying Anya's company a lot even if the two aren't neccesarily interacting. They spend a lot of time just being close to one another even when they aren't talking. Erin starts to... Just like being around her and seeing her happy, and Anya likewise feels very comfortable around Erin.

-while Anya's already had a small crush on Erin, it's during this time that crush develops into fully romantic feelings. Erin doesn't directly notice that sentiment (Anya hides it pretty well all things considered) But she does notice Anya's seems to growing a degree of confidence, at the very least when they're together. Erin does get annoyed at Anya's rather constant anxiety sometimes, and absolutely hates it when Anya puts herself down at all, but it is nice to see Anya gaining any form of confidence...

-during their brief stay at past Sheridan, Erin ends up comforting Anya for a nightmare for the first time, even if mostly if that's because she just happened to still be awake when Anya got woken up by it. It's a first for Erin and she's not entirely sure how to go about it, but Anya appreciates the effort nonetheless.

-in general the times they've acted as team together is times Erin enjoys. Anya's stronger then she lets on, and Erin starts to enjoy working with her as much as she does just hanging out with her. The training month in Chapter 15 ends up being pleasant for the two of them because of this, despite some of the more heavy revelations learned during that months.

-Erin's first thoughts on how she actually feels about Anya comes at the end of 14. The two haven't seen each other in couple days since Anya got whisked to the desert after getting kicked out of the library (though that kinda annoyed the crap out of Erin general, Anya was there for a whole 5 minutes and already got kicked out even if it wasn't her fault), and Anya just was so happy to see her?? Anya ended up just hugging Erin out of that pure happiness in seeing her, and Erin's heart ended up skipping a beat when she did. The whole hug thing was a bit of a surprise to the both of them, Anya actually apologizing for it immediately, though Erin reassured her it's fine. Of course though, Melia's battle was a loss and Erin had to leave and the two had to separate after their brief interaction as they both had business, Anya for the tournament and Erin for the ball. And well we all know that ball goes...

-Erin's second moment where she starts go realize she may have caught a heap of feelings for Anya is immediately the next time Erin sees Anya, which is in Eclysia pyramid where Anya in her pure relief and joy at seeing her safe immediately trips on her heels and accidentally barrels herself and Erin right back into the spring Erin just walked out of. Anya just... Hugs her so warmly and there's tears in Anya's eyes and for a very brief moment it almost felt like it was just the two of them. Honestly I feel by this point Anya may have confided to Melia about her feelings for Erin so Melia would just have such a knowing look as the two get up out of the spring. At least Anya isn't covered in sand anymore...

I wrote some propaganda on the submission form, can you post it or send it back to me? A. Submissions are deleted as the polls are posted, so I can keep track of how many I have left to post, which means I can't do this. Please save your propaganda for the post and not the submissions form Q. Did you know you used fan art on ___ poll? A. Unless I'd mentioned getting permission from the artist, then please assume that I did not know and let me know. I hate art theft and wouldn't want to partake in that, but I'm just not familiar with a good 80% of the series submitted, so sometimes it might slip through the cracks Q. Can I submit a character who isn't my blorbo? A. Also fine! I enjoy it when people submit controversial characters to see how they'll do Q. What happens if there's a tie? A. The blorbo in question becomes an occassional family member who appears with our found family for some important cutscenes, but isn't officially considered part of the found family

Q. No, but seriously, my blorbo got ditched. Do they get another chance? A. At the beginning of each year we host a Redemption Event, where any past blorbos who were submitted get another chance. Because of the high volume of ditched characters, to be included in the event your character will need to be submitted with propaganda via a form that will be released a month before the event Q. I think the image used is a big reason why my blorbo got ditched. Why did you use that image? A. If an image hasn't been submitted, I will just grab one from an image search result in most cases. You know your blorbos best, so if you have a specific (non-fan art) image that you think shows them in their best light, please do submit it when you submit them Q. Did you mean the book version or movie version of that character? A. Whichever version of the blorbo that gets submitted, that'll be the one I use. If no specific version is mentioned, I'll just post that blorbo in general and use whatever image is most common when I look them up, unless an image has been submitted or a book cover has been requested to be used Q. My blorbo is a character played by a youtuber and/or streamer, not the youtuber or streamer themselves, is that okay? A. If it's a character, then it's fine. But please mention this on the submission. Because if I look them up and the result looks to be just some real person, that won't be included Q. What counts as a "sweep"? A. Any character who gets 90% or higher in either adopt or ditch is counted as a sweep. This doesn't give them anything extra, it's just for bragging rights Q. What counts as a "close call"? A. Any character who's poll results are within the 49%-51% range for adopt/ditch is counted as a close call Q. How many characters can I submit at a time? A. There's no hard rule, since the form doesn't track emails, but please be considerate to others and try not to submit more than 10 characters per submission period. See next question for more details Q. How many characters from the same series can I submit at a time? A. Four (4) characters per series per submission period. I'll be lenient for if they've been submitted by multiple people, but from my experience running this blog, it's only the current Hot New Thing that'll be submitted by multiple people and anything else is usually one person submitting one character after another. I used to allow more, but people took this for granted and submitted 50+ from the same series, so now 4 is the cap Q. You missed a tag from that poll! Can it be added? A. Sure! Writing Commission Info

I have not been able to find regular work and probably won’t for a bit yet. So, I need a way to get some cash, especially cause things around my household have been a bit rough as of late.

Going prices

Minimum payment of 20$ dollars which will get you 1500 words. Any less than that and its not worth my time.

After the initial 20$ its another 1$ for every 100 words. I will charge an extra 5 dollars for anything past 5000 words in addition to my 1$ per 100 words.

Once we have determined a word count and price I will ask for at least half of the cost up front and the other half upon completion.

what with the new mods making intros and a lot of the older ones remaking theirs, I thought I would get back into the swing of things as well!

Hello, my name's Griffin and I go by Mod Chook on this blog! My sona's gone through a bit of a redesign, but his name's still Chook and he's still a kirin/griffon hybrid!

I've been a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic for about ten or so years now. My hyperfixation on it has come and gone, but it's always been in my mind and heart.

I find a lot of joy in drawing rarepairs, interesting character dynamics and also just putting silly guys in silly situations

It's a character I made 10 or 11 years ago now, her name is Leaf! (Her real name is Gregita but I never call her that...)

Basically when I was a kid I was on this Pokemon forum where people were roleplaying as Pokemon critters. But I didn't want to be an animal I wanted to be an epic awesome badass anime character so I just made a regular human with Leafeon traits lol.

When I made my Squiddo channel and I was picking a profile picture, I just used a random picture of Leaf. I never changed it because it's orange and I like that my oc from when I was a kid is now seen by millions of people :)

about your "OC" psa, I always thought the term "original character" "oc" and just "character" were used interchangeably. If you wanted to differentiate between canon and fandom, then wouldn't you just use the term "fan characters" or "fc"?

Fan-Fiction: Fan-Character vs Original Character

Fan-Character - A fan-character is a character created by a fan but based on canon-established attributes, such as a canon species or canon race. For example, if you create a character who is a Pokemon, Dothraki, Shadow Hunter, Vulcan, or Volturi, these are "fan-created" characters because Pokemon, Dothraki, Shadow Hunters, Vulcans, and Volturi are not species/races that exist outside of canon. For that reason, these are "fan-created" characters rather than "original characters."

Original Character - An original character is a character created by a fan but not based on canon-established attributes. For example, if you create a character who joins the BAU, is a new student at Hawkins High School, is a member of the "ton," or a police officer who just joined the Nine-Nine, these are just regular ol' humans who can exist outside canon. They're human, and FBI agents, high school students, the upper echelon of Georgian society, and police officers are all things that exist in the real world. Everything about these characters is original to the fan who created them. The only canon required is the canon setting, situation, and characters this character will be involved with. If you're talking about original fiction, such as if you're writing an original short story or novel, there is absolutely no reason to use the term "original character" because all of your characters are original. You created them, not someone else. Again, the only exception would be if your story includes real people, such as historical figures or celebrities, in which case you could use "original character" to differentiate between the real world characters and the ones you created.

Small Pokemon Rant

Okay so I was finishing up the DLC and I wanted to say my honest option and reactions to the DLC.

Okay first off, Kieran says that the player was stronger than him and want to surpass them? Im sorry but dearie you nearly swept me with your team if I didnt have to use max potions and my one max revive in the bag! Legit my team consisted of Meowscarada, Skeledirge, The shiny Lucario from a gift code, Ogerpon (I didn't send her out, because I forgot to switch her out for the battle and I didnt want her to fight especially against Kieran!), Chein-Po, and Miraidon and let me tell you this! My team was all near level 95 and the only level 100's I have is Meowscarada & Skeledirge. And Kieran casually knocked out every single pokemon on my team that was sent on the field and at the end of the battle Meowscarada, Skeledirge, Lucario, and Chein-Po were all knocked out while Miradion was in the red! Ogrepon was the only one at full health since she didnt fight and I had to max revive my Skeledirge in order to beat him!

Kieran is selling himself short because he managed to take down my frankly overpowered team that I trained to max out both attack and defense stats and consisted of mostly legendary/mythical pokemon! If that isn't strong then I dont know what is!

Kieran is strong but he sells himself short since during the DLC he would only see himself as a strong trainer if he beaten the player. I think he was too caught up in that to realize he was strong since the beginning! He was too caught up into 'being like the player' that he failed to realize that he's his own person and his own trainer which leads to him underestimating his strength.

Heck even when I played part one when I was doing the last battle with him during the DLC and I nearly lost since I only had 5 pokemon on the team and I was not using my usual team since my team was really overpowered so I wanted to use lower level ones.... that was the biggest mistake! If I didnt have my Meowscarada in the team I would have lost.

This in my head, shows that Kieran is a strong trainer ever since we met him. I think that we only beat him was because we had more experience. It wasn't the terms of strength but instead it was more about experience in a way. If you beat the entire main game before playing the DLC, its clear that there's almost like a experience gap since the player had: beat the league, beat 5 Titian pokemon, went to Area Zero, went through life and death experience, but mostly because they fought hard opponents that no regular trainer would fight against.

Now im not saying Kieran is a weak trainer because he isn't! I just see it as since Paldea is a place where it provided a challenge so when they went to Kitakami, it felt like everything was easier for them due to Area Zero.

In my head the player was just stronger because of the trauma of Area Zero and the Titian pokemon which in my head has their brains programed to think outside the box and be required to be stronger in order to beat pokemon that the world isn't aware about besides Arven, Penny, Nemona, Turo/Sada, The elite 4, and Geeta.

Kieran is a strong trainer, in my opinion more stronger then a regular trainer but I feel like he shields that talent since he is the younger sibling and because of Carmine's constant verbal abuse towards him although it isn't fully intentional on her part (in Carmine's head) it still affects him and makes him believe he's the weaker sibling where he isn't! His team can frankly overpower Carmine's team in my opinion.

Remember most of these trainers: Penny, Nemona, Arven, the Player, Carmine, and Kieran are just kids/teens! But a few of them after some experiences in their lives it's clear that there's always an outside factor that affects them which physiologically affects them which then in my head affects how they look on battling and how they view their strength.

But I'll tell you one thing, one: that this game left me and mostly my pokemon Violet oc: Ava even more traumatized after the event of Area Zero and two: Im rewriting the entire DLC to have some form of a 'good ending' and more fluff moments between Kieran and the player since it's clear that they have some type of chemistry! If the Applin doesn't say anything...

I keep daydreaming about a darling who goes undercover to investigate this weird new local cult, and ends up very quickly rising through the ranks because suddenly whatever they're worshipping is actually responding now, but it's only to her. Instant high priestess, much to darling's distress and the twin's delight (and the mad jealousy of a few followers).

Oh oh oh, I have had such ideas about this at length... Especially for our darling boys who don't particularly desire a cult, ya know? (Also I want to gush about some OCs) [Some half-written ideas in here too]

I still haven't written much on it, but in the eldritch boy's AU I do picture there are other eldritch horrors running around- Not necessarily in Unova, but elsewhere in the world, you know? They have their own cults, amassing innocent, clueless followers to do their bidding...

But the boys keep Unova- And you- Safe from those fools. A cult tries to build a new compound or a temple in Unova? Earthquake or sudden fire happens or massive gas leak, the cult is gone. Someone's trying to proselytize about their sweet, super-cool God who will break free from the chains they were bound in thousands of years ago and bless those who honor it's return? Car accidents happen all the time in Castelia- Better it happens to them then someone who actually matters, you know?

But I have pictured the train boys getting a cult... And possibly a lot of people interested in their movements. Maybe even the Depot Agents having a cult to their lovely Bosses? Who knows.

Or maybe a weird train cult just pops up in Nimbasa. Trains are well loved, and some psychics have noticed there's a lot of strange power around the tracks... And they begin to amass. Some psychics have strange visions of strange monsters, strange lights, and deep, impenetrable darkness- Some regular folks notice strange irregularities and strange... almost glitches, in the fabric of reality on the subway- Their pokemon are jittery. They themselves are jittery. Gleaning what they can from visions and frenzy and dreams, they erect their own false temple, and pray and make offerings to the strange light and darkness of the temple. They sometimes look for others who share their feelings- Especially on one particular forum in the AU- The lit.wick website. A popular place to post about strange paranormal happenings in Unova, and the site owner had to make a separate board for the Subway of Nimbasa alone- Far too many strange things happen down there and it was flooding the rest of the boards, you know. The owner of the website himself is even beginning to investigate the tunnels... And the cultists realize the Depot Agents carry a strange energy about them- And the Subway Bosses themselves carry an even stranger energy- Have they been somehow blessed by whatever slumbering deity lurks within the Subway? But the Station Masters are not stupid enough to let these mere mortals know their nature- So they may appear oddly powerful, but nothing the cultists freak out about. But you? Oh, they forgot about how many gifts they've given you- How they've showered you in their protections and charms and blessings-

You're getting tired of being stopped by the strange people who lurk outside the Subway at seemingly all hours of the day. When the police break up one small group and tell them to move on, another soon moves in- And each time, they feel the need to pester you. "You do not realize it, but you've been blessed, O Young One." The cultist addressing you wore a dark cloak and thick spectacles that obscured most of his face. "I have not," You retort. Of course. "On the contrary," The man snorted, "Your life has taken a turn for great fortune recently, hasn't it?" "No it has-" You stopped. Hadn't it, though? "And not only that, but you bear promises from the Ineffable Mysteries of the Tunnels." He continued on. He caught you- The moment you caught yourself doubting your rejection, he'd caught you. "The feather in your cap gives off an unmistakable power... As does whatever you hide in your breast pocket." "Nonsense," You snapped, getting tired of this. "I highly doubt your- God, or whatever it is you're playing pretend with, would drop a feather at my feet-" "Ah, but it dropped at your feet, did it not? And you keep it in your hat? Why there?" The cultist half-sneered with every word coming from his lips. "And of the thing in your pocket- What of that?" "That- That was... Nothing, my boss was going to throw it out and he gave it to-" "He gave it to you? I highly doubt he was going to throw it out. He may have found it, but it was intended for you, O child. Did your boss seem strange when he was... going to throw it out? Did it seem urgent that you take that curious thing with you?" Your memory of that day Ingo gave you the scale was a little fuzzy- But- You felt a chill run down your spine. He had pressed it into your hand- And the intense, troubled look on his face- He asked you to keep it, in a voice that was strangely urgent-

And you certainly had good fortune. But you'd had good fortune even before you started working at Gear Station- But hadn't you also lost your job, and the only place you could find employment was at Gear Station? You went silent and turned away from the man. "Enough of this. Leave me alone." And you ignored his protests as you bolted across the street, booking it to your apartment. You took the feather off of your cap. Placed it on a bookshelf. You took the scale out of your breast pocket. Placed it on a bookshelf. You stared at them both. A white feather and a black scale. One gotten by chance, the other given to you- Why would Ingo give you a scale? It made no sense- He battled with pokemon every day. Pokemon lost fur and feathers and scales constantly- So why that one? You'd been blessed. And whatever blessed you, wanted you to know you'd been blessed- Or chosen. For something. And that thought seemed far scarier to you than anything else. You swallowed hard. Perhaps you wouldn't wear the scale and feather anymore to work. ------- I do have a rough sketch (VERY rough) of the guy who runs the lit.wick paper and website- I need to clean it up and actually draw the pokemon, as well as draw his assistant, Lowell Blackthorn- But I will share Jack here for now. I've been really liking the idea of writing a Darling who's a lot smarter/coy/cunning for the eldritch boys (And also over tired and overworked) and instead of immediately going to work for Gear Station, ends up working as a writer for the lit.wick paper at first.

Name: Jack Langton

Occupation: In the Eldritch AU, He is the owner of the famous/infamous website Lit.Wick, and the associated paper published quarterly with it; The paper primarily focuses on everything horror/supernatural related, having sections for scary stories submitted by writers, or actual investigations into supernatural phenomena around Unova. However, the paper gained fame by writing massive exposes on different cults and their illegal/abusive practices in Unova, and helped to break them up- As well as exposing fraudulent psychics and so-called "mages" across the region. The paper became rather infamous however, when Langton began investigating several cult influences into the Unovan government- And exposed the crimes and perversion of a number of politicians across Unova. The paper had a smear campaign launched against it, and after several near-death incidences happened under the Lit.Wick Publishing House and Paper, it fell into obscurity and is primarily known now as more of a "for fun" paper that only talks about paranormal investigations or click-bait style articles with titles like "Top Ten Haunted Locations in Northern Opelucid". Langton himself is super friendly and protective of his small staff team- He also adores kids, and his pokemon, very dearly! He has- His trusty and old companions, Stoutland and Arcanine, a small pidove, a Lilligant, and a golett that used to not work... until he moved to Nimbasa, and one night while he was putting it outside by one of the subway's surface access tunnels, it suddenly sprung back to life, and has since recognized Jack as it's owner.
