"no one leaves comments anymore" "I'm afraid to comment" "It's okay you can COMMENT ANYTHING" "but not that" "if I can't criticize I won't comment" "the author never responds anyway so I don't see the point" "no one leaves comments anymore" comment discourse is an ouroboros!!!
I am taking fanfic writers by the hand I am so gently encouraging you to find your own motivation, your own community, outside of just ao3. Even finding one person to share fics with (or leaning in to writing for just yourself) will make the uncertainty of public reception bearable.
Yes I love kind comments from complete strangers, but I only want them if the reader has something to say, not because I've got a knife to their throat. And if they won't comment because I don't respond, that's fine too, because that's not the kind of comment I probably want either.
Writers have to post without the expectation of comments. Readers have to comment without the expectation of a response. And if they get something more out of it, that's great, but let's stop guilting each other for not engaging more in an internet landscape that is already built on manipulating us to maximize engagement.
Izuku applies for UA- and he would've gotten in too- but uh… he's legally dead due to his quirk.
His quirk: Ghost.
This isn't the first time this sort of thing happened- it had taken many phone calls to the school board to get into his local middle school and even then it was hard prove he'd ever actually *attended.*
It was a condition of his quirk that most "proof" of his existence just… disappeared. It didn't help that he could never turn in a physical test or write his name without assistance; His hand would just phase through. But what he lacked in physicality, he made up for in agregerous note-taking in transparent books of his own creation.
Point being, he (seemingly) doesn't exist and he doesn't get into UA on that principle alone.
Izuku decides the best way to get the education he wants is to start "haunting" the school and, eventually, the dorms.
Bakugou knows Izuku and of his quirk and thinks it's a pretty funny idea so he just pretends not to notice the green glowing at midnight nor the chill that crawls down class 1A's spine when Izuku moves to get a closer look at the board.
Thinking about starting a sideblog for the food me and my hubs make so I can remember what I did lol.
I just really like taking pretty pictures of my dinner. Plus I often get cooking ideas from anime and I make sure my plates have a careful balance of orange and green 🧡💚.
I’d share where I got the idea and basic stuff about what I did, but I’m not interested in actually writing full recipes. Would anyone be interested?
i think deku's never given enough credit for how much crazier he is than katsuki. like... if we're looking at them surface level izuku's the more well-adjusted, liked, sociable one but whenever Shit He Cant Process Well happens, he always rushes in, no plan, all teeth and grit, out here growling and drooling like an honest to god rabid wild animal to the point where his own quirk restrains him or goes haywire (blackwhip). katsuki always looks lowkey scared when he sees deku's crazy eyes, like holy shit, hes gonna get himself killed. while katsuki on the other hand, has always been calm and collected in stressful situations, despite pretending otherwise. he always has a tight rein on himself and his emotions, so every action is purposeful, especially in the latter part of the manga and this parallel between them kills ms
