Saturday night, I was assaulted and strangled by my brother. This is not the first time he's done this, but it was severely excalated this time. I deserved it. Honestly, I wish he'd succeeded so nobody would have to deal with my shit anymore. I'm still very much in crisis mode, and I'm so sorry if I disappear. I'm praying I can continue working despite the situation, but this may warrant a short break.

I'm so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and I'm even more sorry I'm bringing this up at all. I need to stop talking from now on, honestly. I just wanted to communicate why I may poof. I don't know. I'm scared, and I can't do this. But I have to keep going.

September 17, 1972, 50 years ago today was the premier of the first episode of M*A*S*H. It was at risk of being cancelled early on, but was given a better time slot from it's second season onward. During the rest of its run, MASH remained one of the top 20 programs that aired on CBS.

The series chronicles the lives of U.S army doctors, personel, and civilians during the Korean War. While comedy is an important component of the show, it also showcased surprisingly tender moments of human compassion and just how far we are willing to go for each other.

Speaking of my decision to give the not-cats wings and backstories here’s one I’m particularly proud of that I did for the user @/adore on Pixel Cat’s End Kittens sometimes whisper that Dakota can fly, but chooses not to. Some see this as an exaggeration: she is certainly agile but leaping from tree to tree is quite different from true flight. Others say no, they've seen her coming back from her favored stargazing spot and clearing jumps no cat could have. A hint of feathers, a swarming of fireflies despite there being none before, and then she's there! Even the flowers on her head sometimes flicker into something glowing and shapeless! Dacota herself thinks little of it, she leaps because she has places to be. Why would she not make a jump? But sometimes, when she is playing a little game with herself and picking what stars of the sky she likes most, the reflections of them on her fur feel warm and she wonders.

so yeah I was never part of the warrior cats fandom but like i think i get y’all now this is fun

Severed Ways Announcement 2: Electric Boogaloo

HELLO. I’ve been gone and busy and will continue to be gone and busy in a few weeks because I am a gene colorist for Paw Borough! Check it out, Kickstarter’s coming in a couple months.

ANYWAYS. I’ve been busy with moving and being burnt out and working on cat stuff. TCOS is still happening, in fact here’s a fun little preview of the cover I commissioned @harriertail​ for - 

So! While I do have the skeleton of the whole book finished and ready, I have drafts of just the first five chapters done. My game plan right now is to finish those and have those uploaded on a schedule before going on break again while I work on other stuff, mainly Pawborough color work. Here’s a schedule that I’m crossing my fingers I’ll be able to keep up with.

May 7: Allegiances & Prologue

May 14: Chapter 1 (Ottercall)

May 21: Chapter 2 (Thornpaw)

May 28: Chapter 3 (Sunnyheart)

June 4: Chapter 4 (Wolfpaw)

June 11: Chapter 5 (Wolfpaw)

After these, I’ll be going on hiatus again. Partly to draft out the next five chapters, but also to work and take a break. See you all Saturday!
