My goal with this blog is to catalog as many of the Love Nikki suits and items as I can. Initial posts and submissions will focus on the original suit and pieces. Reblogs will focus on styling items from the suits. Please feel free to add your own stylings, and I will reblog!
Tags are under development, and I am accepting suggestions. Current plan is to tag dominant colors, themes, where it fits in the wardrobe, when it was released on global, if it has posed or animated items, and any other major details as they occur to me.
The goal is for this to be easily searchable in a way the in-game wardrobe is not. For example, #flowers or #floral will turn up ALL flower-themed suits and pieces. "#alice in wonderland" might not be a reasonable search term, but #cats #clocks #forest and similar will be. Tags will be plural. Multiple colors will be tagged as #pink #purple, not "#pink and purple". I'll make a tag cloud page when I have a few posts up.
I'd been thinking about this, and now I have polls, so I can ask: some of the time I push a bunch of items from a certain time period forward in the queue because I'm drawing something from that period soon and want more refs to look at, but if I'm not doing that I usually just let the queue spit out at random. A couple of times I've played some more intentional games with the queue, like having a day where every offering is striped or just lining up two outfits that echo each other across time to come out the same day. But I have questions for you, my 25 followers I reblog everything from anyway: what would you feel is the most fun way for me to proceed?
I know it's not like this is a big popular blog and it exists mostly for my drawing reference, but let me know what you think!
I'm going to keep this blog to mostly clothing but I couldn't not brag about this find
All of this is Le Cruset and cost abt $45 !! I gave it to one of my friends because they prefer this style of pots and pans, and I have a glass stove rn but the yellow ones match my dishes so I'm going to have to borrow them some time for a fancy dinner.
for the one pan that doesn't have a lid - apparently the lid is another pan?? (not my pic)
I'll have to keep an eye out for it on my future adventures. Anyway I'm really happy abt finding these!
Y’all, my little nephew, who’s nickname is “Cabbage,” wanted a “punk jacket,” like Uncle Kade’s. (EMPHASIS ON LITTLE, be nice)
So, I asked him what kind of patches he wanted on it, and this is what we came up with. Just need to sew the patches down and line the vest. I can’t wait to finish it and send it to him.
remembering one of the times i was getting evaluated by a therapist to determine if i was "really trans" or not or whatever and he was like "so if you transitioned to male, how would you dress differently?"
and i was like "i.. dont know. I wouldnt?"
and he looked at me blankly and wrote something down and said "really? you wouldnt wear anything more masculine?"
and i realized i'd given the wrong answer so I just said "I would... wear... suits?"
and he smiled and wrote something else down like "ah! yes"
Oh my Momo, only the first twenty tags of a post actually work for archival purposes. I am extremely annoyed. I may or may not be reblogging things with more tags so that the archival feature of this archival blog actually works. Sheesh.
I like chilchuck he's the equivalent of a man in his 50s he's unionized he drinks too much alcohol he's an empty nester and his wife left him. I bet he sits in chairs like this
so one of the things I was vaguely aware of before reproducing was that people hold a lot of anxiety around the gender of babies and 'wrongly' gendering babies (i.e. failing to guess correctly based on their clothes and appearance what their genital configuration is) and having now had a baby: wow, yes, they really do.
I take an extremely laissez-faire approach to baby clothes because like, they are constantly being thrown up on and grown out of and so on, what matters is that they are clean and easy to put on and I am not spending $$$$$ on them. as long as the colour/design is not directly offensive, it's fine. what this means is that people are quite frequently 'misgendering' the baby and then falling over themselves to apologise about it.
and, like, I haven't even had a chance to dress him in anything pink yet; this is based on rules I didn't expect like 'anything with flowers or sparkly bits on it is for girls only'. equally, I do not care when this happens because it's an irrelevancy, but THEY care to make sure I am not offended. so I have started telling them "look, he's only [x] months old; his gender is baby."
and you know what? you'd be surprised how many otherwise average heterosexual people process this and go "huh, yeah, I guess it is." there is a tiny amount of hope for the future after all.
