We were supposed to have until April to leave comments, but the cdc has officially ended the 5 day isolation period as of today, March 1st, 2024.

They're saying as long as it's been 24hrs and your symptoms are improving, you're good.

Nothing about covid has changed. Medical professionals are obviously slamming this decision. All this does is make it even more difficult to avoid long covid, because now workers will have to fight for sick days and time off they already barely have just to fucking heal from an organ damaging virus.

Idk what to say for this one.

Do you imagine Bat City to be covered by some sort of dome or force field or anything like that? I have this impression that they do not see the actual natural sky at all and I cannot remember if that's in the comics or just my imagination lmao

It's a pretty common idea in fanon, and I think it comes from a throwaway line in the dead satellites special where the mom says something like "don't be silly, there are no stars left anymore," but in scenes in the zones the sky is full of stars. As with all comic canon, it's all heavily subjective. I usually tend to think of Battery City as climate controlled using some advanced, helium based technology. so, a more immaterial dome of sorts of climate controlled air and water vapour

anyone else have multiple traumatic memories associated specifically with holidays/family vacations? because that is a topic I never see discussed in all the So You Had A Shitty Childhood, Now What? self-help books i've been reading. but for me, it was a significant thing. and the more i think about it the more it seems like this would be an (unfortunately) common experience. would be grateful to hear if this matches other peoples' experiences...

I love the symbolism of the mask being the "true" identity of a killjoy ... normally masks are used to shield a person's identity , but in Danger Days its one of the truest forms of self expression . When you leave battery city BL/ind. owns your face and your identity, so by making yourself a mask you're expressing your individuality in a way BL/ind. can't take from you . You die with your mask on because its the identity you crafted for yourself instead of the one better living bought . Which complements the fact that BL/ind. uses the drac masks to take away your identity . When they replace your mask with their own they literally take away your soul . You can take this headcanon from my cold dead hands
