Oh my gosh! Thanks so much! I totally wasn’t expecting anyone to actually ask me anything. Lets dig into these, shall we?

E -- Top 5 Episodes

Oh my gosh, you started off with such a hard one! I am so guilty and such a terrible SPN fan! I haven’t done a proper re-watch in like 2 years! So while I can’t say that these episodes are necessarily my top episodes, they are episodes I remember and reflect fondly of. So with that said, let’s begin the countdown of my “top 5″ episodes of SPN.

#5 5x08, Changing Channels -- It’s a fun episode and an episode I never mind re-visiting

#4 7x16, Out With The Old -- It’s a quirky episode and I like it. I like how we kind of got a different dynamic towards Leviathans with George The Leviathan. I wonder what ever happened to him? Did he get sucked into Purgatory with Dick Roman? It would’ve been nice if we could’ve revisited George in season 15.

#3 7x20, The Girl With The Dungeons & Dragons Tattoos -- Uh hello, Charlie, duh! Such a good introduction to her. But unfortunately, the writers did not do her justice after she went to Oz and since then, I never really felt like the Charlie in this episode was ever really present again.

#2 7x21, Reading is Fundamental -- Uh, Megstiel feels! Introduction to Kevin! And I LOVE Kevin. He is so adorable and he deserved so much better than to be Metatron’s collateral damage, he deserved so much better than to be a wandering ghost, then get sent to hell after he Chuck told him he was going to heaven and then escaped from hell and become a wandering ghost AGAIN!!! This boy is only like 17-18 years old canonically. Seriously, what is up with these writers? How dare they do my boy Kevin like that! I only hope when Jack became God, he actually sent Kevin to heaven, poor boy deserves it.

Wow, so a lot of season 7 episodes made it onto this list. I guess I should come out of the closet as it were. I’m one of the few who doesn’t hate season 7. i actually quite enjoy it. Even if I am salty about the whole thing with Cas and Sera killing him off, the season just has a different, unique feel to it that’s different from all of the other seasons. And I like it. Plus, it introduced a lot of cool new characters.

So before I give you my number 1, all time top favorite episode of SPN, I’m going to cheat and name off some honorable mentions.

8x08 -- Hunter Heroici, 9x06 -- Heaven Can’t Wait, 10x05 -- Fan Fiction, 10x07 -- Girls, Girls, Girls (hanstiel is so cute in this episode), 10x20 -- Angel Heart, 6x15 -- The French Mistake, 15x08 -- Our Father Who Aren’t In Heaven (because Midam!), 1x06 -- Bloody Mary. And I’ll end it here otherwise this could go on for a really long time as I peruse the SPN episode list and am reminded of all the episodes I like.

Here is my top #1 episode!

#1 4x20, The Rapture -- Oh my gosh! I love this episode so much! To this day, Jimmy Novak’s speech to Cas ranting at him for breaking his promise gives me chills! I love Jimmy Novak and this was the episode in which I really was very interested in the dynamics between angels and their vessels and I so desperately wanted to see more of that with Cas and Jimmy. But since we didn’t get it, I’m happy that we at least got Michael and Adam.The Destihellers like to talk about how Dean is what made Cas fall in love with humanity. I disagree on that, first of all,, it’s always been portrayed that Cas has a soft spot for humanity but even if we were to ignore that, I’m personally of the belief that Jimmy played a huge part in endearing humanity to Cas. And obviously, when Cas came back from Bible School in this episode, he had lost all of that through all of heaven’s brainwashing but I also like to think that Jimmy’s sacrifice to Claire started replanting the seeds in Cas about how endearing he finds humanity. So yeah, we can argue all we want about which Winchester was responsible for making Cas fall in love with humanity, but to me, it started first with Jimmy Novak and he was able to break through the brainwashing because of Jimmy Novak and that’s how I choose to see it.

F -- One Thing You’d Make Canon If You Could

Uh, too easy, Cas confessing to Sam and not Dean. And we get a canonical Sastiel happily ever after! We all know I’m basically Sastiel trash right now!

Or if not Sastiel as an endgame for Sam, SamxJess. I always liked Jess with as little as we got to see with her.

But also to think outside of the box here, in the essence of making head canons come true, I heard this head canon once that Meg actually used to be Megara from the tale of Hercules. And she made a deal with a crossroads demon to save Hercules and honestly this head canon is kind of dope and I would have loved to have seen it go canon. Meg is already a pretty interesting character but a having a back story like that, uh, it would’ve been awesome.

J -- Favorite Monster of the Week

I think I’m going to go with Bloody Mary on this. I don’t know, I’ve always liked the ghosts and the Bloody Mary episode has always just kind of stuck with me. It It honestly is a really kind of terrifying episode. And whenever I watch it, like I have to go to bed directly afterwards, no going to the bathroom, no fixing dinner, nothing like that because I’m too scared of accidentally seeing my reflection. So good on my girl Mary for being super terrifying!

Sam Girl- Sam Winchester x Reader

Pairings: Sam x Reader, Dean, Castiel

Warnings: FLUFFY FLUFF, mentions of the last half of the final season of SPN and the emotional rollercoaster we’re all currently on (I know, I’m sorry!) lying, secrets, insecurities.

Word Count: 2,407

A/N: This imagine kind of plays off my series Crossing Parallel Lines but it’s totally separate! I came up with this imagine from this locket that I bought from Hot Topic. The Winchesters are always so uncomfortable with the idea of “the other world with the actors who play them on TV” and I love Changing Channels; one of my top favorite Supernatural episodes!

*Italics are flashbacks*

“What?! No! What?! Oh, my Chuck, what the actual hell!” You yell at your phone and throw it across the room.

You huff in annoyance but you feel your heartbreak; you just watched the trailer for the last half of the final season of Supernatural.

“Y/N? Are you okay, I heard you yelling? What happened?” Sam asks, slowly stalking into your slightly ajar door. He knew you could get pretty expressive about your interests and sometimes, the best thing to do is to give you space.

You had been living at the Bunker for a few years since you had connections to the Winchester family. Not that you ever asked for it, but you grew up in the life as well, thanks to your Dad, who ended up getting killed during a hunt when you were sixteen. You had run on your own, doing your hunts, until you got in over your head, and ended up in front of the Bunker, needing the help of the Winchesters to defeat God. Yeah, he was after you too. Your family had more to do with him and had pissed him off, more times than not. It was your Dad who had discovered the lies Chuck had instilled into almost every hunter since the dawn of time, and that wasn’t okay. So, you had to pick up essentially where he left off.

You let out a heavy sigh, running your hands over your face. “Yeah, Sam, I’m okay. I just uh, watched something pretty, well I don’t know how I feel,” you look to him.

“What did you see?” He asks, coming to sit next to you on your bed, after getting the okay from you.

“Um, some animal got hurt and no one could save it,” you say as nonchalantly as possible, hoping Sam would still buy it.

“Oh no, yeah that would upset me too. I’m sorry you saw that baby; are you good now?” He asks as he wraps you up in his arm, pulling you into his side, and kissing your head. You hold onto the opposite side of him, nuzzling your head into his side and showing him the same affection as he was showing you, but also feeling guilty about your lie.

“Yeah, I am. I’m good now, thanks,” you kiss him quickly before you left the room. You hated lying to him but he could never know that side of you. He would dismiss you for sure.

Sam and you had been dating for roughly six months after he heard your discussion with Dean about a current crush you had. Names were never given but it wasn’t hard to figure out who you were referring to. The idea of being close to someone on that level of intimacy again scared him. He knew what the inevitable was for someone like him and it was unfair to the other and it hurt him with a pain he never felt with anything else. When he took interest in a woman, she becomes the center of his world the longer he is with her. Most of the time, however, they never stay too long. It could be a day or a night, or a few days if he was lucky, but the last long-term relationship he had, crushed his soul. Time went by and healed those wounds, but he couldn’t let anyone get too close, no matter how much he wanted to be invested. But when you came into his life, something shifted. He immediately took a liking to you but he wasn’t sure how far he could go. As time went on, and he knew you were sticking around, he allowed himself to go there. He allowed those feelings he knew too well, to flourish within his heart, and it was strange to him, but he liked it. When he found out the feelings were mutual, it did something in him he wasn’t used to; it made him happy. Sure, he’s been happy before, but he had a lot riding on a possibility and if he played his cards right, it could be extraordinary. And it has been. It all started slow, a snail’s pace really, but you couldn’t blame him. If you had been hurt and uncertain as often as he was, you would take everything slow too. That’s why lying to him now, was killing you on the inside. He didn’t deserve it but you knew what kind of man he was and you knew how he felt about certain things.

The library was quiet, so you could be alone with the screaming in your head. You fought with yourself constantly whether, to be honest, or not. Your biggest secret was a huge part of who you were. Adoration for the TV show, Supernatural, was an understatement; you LOVED it! But, hearing the stories from Sam and Dean about when they were stuck in another universe where there were people who act like them, you knew it was unmentionable. Social media was your avenue to let out all your thoughts and ideas with people who shared the same love. No one knew that you lived with the Winchesters, or that they were even real, but that made it more alluring to you. Sitting at the table with your laptop open, you scroll through different comments left by other fans of the show. They were seeing what you were living and that was the most rewarding secret you kept. Pulling the new locket out of your shirt, the words Sam Girl, engraved on the top. Opening it, the anti-possession symbol sat on one side, and a picture of Sam on the other. You run your thumb over the picture, knowing that he was yours, but kept it hidden from him. You owned a plethora of shirts, hats, jewelry, notebooks, and so many other merchandises, that you were quite proud of. You even had a successful blog that was dedicated to the show and the characters, and your imagination with fanfiction. All things you knew Sam would disapprove of. You began writing out your reactions to different videos or events that happened in, not just the Supernatural world, but other fandoms as well.

“Hey, there’s my girl. I was wondering what happened to you,” says Sam. He smiles his small, one-sided grin at you, and sits in a chair to your left.

“Hi, sorry, I got busy writing and I guess I lost track of time,” you admit, closing out your Internet tab and leaving your screen on the cute photo of you and him on your wallpaper.

“You always do,” he chuckles and takes one of your hands. Sam knew about your love of writing and only a few of the topics you wrote about. You laugh along with him, blushing at the fact he knew you so well.

“The life of a writer, baby!” You say, confident in your work, but seeing the look on Sam’s face, quickly changed the mood.

“Where did that come from?” He asks, looking at the chain that hung from your neck. Looking down, you noticed the locket had made its way out of your shirt.

“Oh, that’s nothing!” Grabbing at it and tucking it back in your shirt, you try to advert Sam’s curiosity but that fails.

“Oh, come on, Y/N, let me see it. It looked beautiful.” He comments but you deny him.

“Sorry, but it’s fallen into my bra now,” you say, hoping that would end the conversation but the Winchester Brothers were both very stubborn.

“Don’t think I’m afraid to go in there.” Slight darkness fogged over the normal brightness of his eyes, but it left just as fast as it showed.

“Honestly Sam, it’s nothing. Trust me, you don’t want to know what it is.”

“Trust me y/n, I do want to know. My girlfriend suddenly has a locket I’ve never seen before and won’t show me? I have to wonder if her other boyfriend gave it to her.

You deadpan to him, giving your best bitch face, and he just laughs.

“I’m kidding, but seriously, I want to see it.”

“You didn’t move at first, so he stood up and leaned over to reach in your shirt, but you backed away before he could get there.

“Fine,” you grumble, unclasping the necklace from the back and hand it over.

He seems satisfied that he won this battle, flipping the locket around in his larger than average hands. His eyebrows knitted together, in the cutest look of wonder, like he was a child with a new toy. He opened it, stared down at it for a minute, then handed it back to you.

“You have a locket with a picture of me, which I guess is normal in relationships, but why does it say Sam Girl on the top?” He looked at you quizzically, wanting to know more.

This was it, the time you were dreading the most, but you couldn’t do it anymore; you couldn’t keep lying to him. You prepared yourself for a long discussion and a lot of disgust from him, so you sat back in your chair.

“Sam, I haven’t been completely honest with you.”

“Oh, okay,” he sits back in his seat, eyes glossed with worry and locked on you.

“I’m a Sam girl. I watch that TV show about you and Dean and your lives; I’m a big fan of it. We have, the fans, what are called someone’s girl. Like me, I’m a Sam girl, so I tell other people how I feel about you , what you say and do, and I talk about my romantic feelings towards you. Well, you on this show; it’s a little different.”

Sam had kept quiet the whole time you explained your secret and he held no emotions. You didn’t know what was going through his head, but it couldn’t be good.

“You like that show about our lives from that other universe?” He asks, suddenly breaking the silence.

“Yes,” you answer, hoping he wouldn’t explode at any given point.

“And you didn’t want to tell me about it?” He then looks to you with his infamous puppy dog eyes, wondering why you kept something like this from him.

Taken aback by his calmness, you continue to explain. “Well, I heard the stories of when you went to that other world and how much it freaked you and Dean out, so I thought you would disown me or something if I was into it.”

“Why would I do that?” Sam asks, sadness now forming across his features.

“Because I like something you make fun of! I thought you would make fun of me for what I do. I’m in the whole fandom, Sam! The show, the merchandise, the fanfiction, the blogs; everything!”

That sparked his interest again. “You write fanfiction?” His tone got more questioningly, but you took it as he was going to lay on the mockery.

“Yes, but I swear it’s nothing like some of the stories people write about! It’s actually all clean and sweet. I write about our dates and my feelings, but play it off as fiction.”

Then, his face melted into a smile (GIF), that childlike wonder again. “You write about us?”

“Yeah, I do. And people like it.”

“They do?” He’s surprised now, telling by how high his eyebrows are raised on his face.

“Everyone thinks you’re romantic and that you’re the best boyfriend, but the best part about it, it’s all true,” you smile, but hide it from wandering eyes.

“That’s… sweet,” he comments, stunning you.

“Really?”

“Yeah, I love that you write about us. I think it’s great that you are proud of our relationship and it makes me proud of it too, especially considering other people think I’m pretty great.” He has a little smirk playing on his lips; he’s going to brag about this to Dean later.

“So, you’re okay with all this?” You start to creep a little further into his level of positivity from this topic.

“Surprisingly I am, and I love that you’re showing off that you’re mine,” he pecks your lips before asking another question.

“Wait, are there more of these lockets?”

“Yes, and there’s some that say Dean girl. The same concept,” you comment like it’s nothing but it’s a big deal to Sam.

“There are Dean girls, too?!”

“And there are Castiel girls too, and even some of the other people you guys have met in life, but mainly you three.”

“Oh my God, wait until Dean and Cas hear about this!” Sam was set on telling his brother and his friend; the worst thing you could think of.

“No, please don’t!” Panic set inside you. Telling Sam was one thing but Dean was another.

“Why not?”

“Because Dean won’t be so nice about this. He will mock and ridicule me so much for this. He’s way more opinionated and harsher than you are.”

He thought about it for a minute but knew you were right. Sometimes, his older brother would take things too far, to the point of hurting those he cared about, and Sam couldn’t let that happen to you.

“You’re right, he definitely will freak out over this. He’s way more headstrong about what he doesn’t like. Alright, I won’t tell him and Cas? Well, he’s gotten a lot better with human interactions but, we wouldn’t want to throw him for a loop again,” Sam laughed at confusing the angel with more human things, like when he first came to earth.

“Thank you, Sam,” You say, going to hug him.

“Of course, no one is going to hurt my girl, not even me. But uh, y/n, we need to get you another locket,” he says taking the locket in his fingers again.

“Why? I like it and I paid good money for it,” you take it back and drop it in your shirt.

“Well, there are more of these lockets out there so that means other girls are walking around with a picture of me around their necks. It’s not okay that yours is like everyone else’s, so I’m going to make a special one that I will have engraved with a message from me that’s just to you; my girl,” he whispers the last part right in your ear, electrifying chills through you.

“O-okay.” You stutter out as Sam goes fishing for your locket from the bottom up.

Second A/N: When I was looking for that GIF of Sam, ‘Sexy Back’ started playing; it was perfect!

Alright, so if you've been following along with me, Supernatural season 3 starts out on a trio of episodes that are Really Fun, slides into some episodes that are Pretty OK, then takes a real nose dive into Bummersville. Hoo boy guys, I really hope that this season picks up. I mean, it won’t, but I can still dream. 2021 was maybe not the year to start watching this season. Fair warning.

The next three episodes for this season are just, like, real downers. First we get “Fresh Blood,” which, aside from the terrible title, starts out on a high note. Gordon (gross) somehow manages to catch up with Bela (HOW??) and threatens her if she doesn’t hand over the Winchesters. Bela, in all of her class and grace, won’t give them up because she has a high price point and Gordon is really lowballing her here. Just like, yes, ok, please stay forever, you’re amazing and I love you. And what a scene this is! You have two characters, one with a strict moral code (albeit one that allows for violence and winning at all costs) and the other with almost NO moral code, but an allegiance that can be bought with the best price and it’s such a fun back and forth until Gordon pulls out a gun. And then she pulls out her phone and just has Dean on speed dial and that’s maybe my fav part. Bela has run into the Winchesters twice and they maybe legit hate her but she’s very much like, oh yeah, my BFF’s the Winchesters, I love those idiots!

I love that we come back to this moment later in the episode when Bela, like, three days later, is like, Oh! I guess I should warn the Winchesters that some crazy guy is after them! She’s just so casual about it you kind of get the feeling that, even though technically Gordon was threatening her life, she doesn’t view him as A Threat. She gives the Winchesters a heads up just to be like oh yeah, you might want to watch out for this mild inconvenience, and she seems legit shocked when Dean freaks out. There’s this moment that plays across her face like, oh shit, did I...did I fuck up? And it adds a nice bit of depth to her character. She’s seems honestly worried, both for the lives of the Winchesters but also that Dean won’t like her anymore and that is just a charming bit of A C T I N G!

I am gonna miss her SO MUCH when she dies at the end of this season. WHY did we CANCEL HER???

But despite the fun beginning, this episode is about monsters and how people become monsters and how other people are probably the reason. Because our main baddie is a vampire who hunts to...well, listen if we look at the facts that he lays out in his monologue, it’s a little more tragic - he’s trying to replace the daughters that he lost hundreds of years ago, cool motive, still murder. In practice though, he goes around turning hot blonde coeds into vampires and then ?????? Who knows. I’d like to believe that this was a problem with the CW executives or maybe casting/directing and not with the writing, but it’s SPN and you really can’t be sure with anything. The fact is, this is a CW show from the early 2000’s and a lot of their extras are cast to type. And that’s maybe me exhibiting some girl-on-girl crime, but there are other episodes that did a much less blatantly gross job casting their extras/Very Special Guest Stars.

Anyway, the POINT of this guy is that he’s a monster because someone killed his daughter and he’s just been trying to fill that grief hole inside of him for centuries. This is not unlike Gordon, who ALSO has been trying to fill a grief hole that he’s had for decades, except he’s not killing people and resurrecting them as blood suckers, he’s just killing them. And then, when the Vamp decides to turn Gordon it’s a real sweet moment of comeuppance for like, a HOT second and then you’re like, awww dude, ya done f’ed up. That was a bad idea. You’ve made a HUGE mistake.

More importantly, our Vampire In Question finally runs into the Winchesters and get’s to say things like “I was desperate! You ever felt desperate? I've lost everyone I ever loved. I'm staring down eternity alone. Can you think of a worse hell?” and also “I just ... I didn't care anymore. Do you know what it's like when you just don't give a damn? It's like ... it's like being dead already.” and Dean’s v. much like, THIS IS TOO REAL ROY.

Sam may ALSO be feeling Too Real feelings because he is DONE dicking around with Gordon and honestly yes, I like this, this is good Sam development. It’s nice to know that Sam has a breaking point. And I admit I’m of two minds about this moment because 1) I love the idea of Dark!Sam this season and that maybe Sam’s decision to actually kill Gordon is just one step in that process but 2) I ALSO love the idea of Sam Lite finally having a breaking point and Gordon is IT. I don’t know which theory I like more in this scenario, but they are both good theories.

I think as much as this episode wants to draw parallels between the monsters and Dean (thank you artful editors), you can’t look at the “I’ve lost everyone I ever loved,” line and not think of Sam? Cuz he’s got one (1) person left in his life that hasn’t died horribly, so how desperate is he about to get through the end of this season? I’ve definitely been watching this season with eyes on all the ominous Dean foreshadowing, but the Sam foreshadowing is also there, just buried under the heavy weight of a thousand smulders and suicidal levels of denial.

And also, FUCK the tag on this episode! Guys, it is CUTE but it is also HORRIBLE. Dean starts teaching Sam how to fix the Impala and at first it’s all, “Oh! Adorable Brothers Being Brothers!” and I loved it but then I almost immediately hated it because you realize this is about making sure Sam can get along without him once he’s gone and Dean just accepts his own death with such casual ease that it’s just...INFURIATING!

This scene was rude and I HATE IT!

Cut to - “A Very Supernatural Christmas” Special!

Guys, I was so excited when I got to this episode. THIS is Classic Supernatural Shenanigans. Plus, you know a Holiday Special is the ultimate sign that this show has Made It, right? Or it could be a sign that they’re selling out, who knows, but I think we can say that at this point in the series, SPN is established enough to start having fun with their fans. That’s what this says to me. BUT THEN what we get is like...oh boy.

First - like, I’mma beat this horse to death, but what is WRONG with this FAMILY? John Winchester very quickly devolved into the sort of father that forgot about every single holiday and did not ever, even a little bit, make up for it. It’s not a surprise, but it kind of wrecked me seeing a flashback where Baby Dean is just so attached to a father who can’t be bothered to actually care for his children. I know he’s not in this episode because Jeffrey Dean Morgan was tied up in other projects, but the fact that John doesn’t show up at the end to button the flashbacks with a But then he DID show up for Christmas! just makes this plot line that more gutting. And despite Dean’s hero worship of their father, this is maybe the Christmas where Baby Sam stops believing in his own father. The only bright side to this is that it continues to enforce the fact that Bobby should have sued John for custody. Bobby should maybe STILL Sue for custody so that Dean at least would feel like someone wants him for once in his life, damnit.

And then we wrap this episode up with the Best Worst Christmas of all, because we see Sam start to...also?? accept that Dean is about to die? Cuz that’s what this episode is really about - Dean’s Last Christmas. And everything about that makes me ~ u p s e t ~.

So Sam decides to put his curmudgeonly grinchy attitude aside in order to make it a special day for Dean and ugh. UGH. UGHGHGHG. Season three is the worst guys, and I can’t believe I didn’t realize that until right this second now.

So let’s wrap this up with "Malleus Maleficarum", honestly an episode that is mostly forgettable until we get to, like, the last five minutes. Sure, witches and curses and selling your soul, woohoo whatever.

But then we get some real Ruby centric reveals and like, WHAT is happening?? First off, the scene where Ruby and Tammy have a moment is a real Moment. There is some baggage and tension here and it is heavy. And then Tammy drops the mic when she reveals that Ruby used to be human.

THEN, Ruby legit saves their asses by killing Tammy with a fancy magic knife. Ok, Dean does the actual killing, but Ruby brought the fancy magic knife. So between the hot and heavy tension with “Tammy” and her repeated attempts to keep the Winchesters alive, we’re left wondering what IS Ruby’s deal? I personally wonder how much of the show’s mythology the show actually has figured out at this point? Because interviews with Kripke definitely walk the line between “Oh we definitely have this whole thing worked out,” and “yeah, we’re sort of finding things as we go along,” which is maybe why it’s able to last as long as it does. More on that later.

Of course the big kicker is the final scene between Ruby and Dean. Dean is almost on board with Ruby at this point in the season, and much like his scene with the demon in “Sin City”, they share a kind of vulnerable moment together where Ruby admits that, yeah, she was human once and yeah, Hell will destroy you, body and soul, and yeah Dean’s worst fear will probably come true - he will become the thing he hunts, no ifs, ands or buts about it. And Dean knows that Ruby knows that Dean knows that there’s no way to save Dean from his fate, but they both agree that they can’t take Sam’s last ounce of hope away from him because, for both of them, Sam is their hope. Ruby and Dean both see the war happening around them and they know that with Dean gone, Sam’s maybe the last guy holding back the tide to save all humanity.

Which, honestly? Bull shit. Do you know how many hunters are out there? Neither do I, but this season seems to indicate that there are a LOT. We have barely scratched the surface on the hunter community and it’s a damn shame that they are all weirdo loners because there is a war going on. You know what works great in a war? An ARMY. Buncha mentally unstable, martyr-complex ijits who can’t put their differences aside for one damn MINUTE so that maybe, JUST maybe, the could actually defeat the evil they’ve spent their entire lives dedicated to fighting. And if Ruby and Dean wanted to help Sam, what they should probably do is get him plugged in to that community. I do believe that of all they backasswards, self-obsessed, painfully anti-social crazies out there, the Winchesters are THE WORST.

Listen tho, this was like, a solid scene between these two. Just a lot of work goin' into this and it paid off.

Anyway, back to the mythology for a hot second - This sort of loosey-goosey stumbling into your own world building is probably another one of those things that you’ll only really get in a show with this many episodes per season? It’s that room to play and experiment and just make stuff up as you go along. I think the slow drip method of releasing episodes ALSO helps in this scenario because you’re able to see what fans are reacting to in almost-real time. When viewers are binging episodes, I think you're less likely to see what specifically they’re reacting to and more wholistically they’re reacting to. And that’s not to say you won’t see those specific things that they like/love eventually, but by the time you get there, your season’s been produced in its entirety and you’ll have to bear that in mind for (hopefully) next season. But with SPN, they were writing and producing the show at the same time that some of the episodes were airing. That’s why they were able to make decisions on the fly, based on what fans responded to. And definitely by this point in the show, there was a sizeable and vocal fan base that made their feelings VERY well-known. We’re only in season three, but they’ve already had a number of con appearances and a pretty active online presence. That kind of feedback has got to be helpful, from a writing perspective, but it also allows for things like characters getting cut because nobody liked them for some dumb reason. BUT, if you’re fighting to stay on the air for 100 episodes or longer, responding to fan reactions is what’s gonna do it and that’s a fact.

Dean couldn’t get you out of his mind. Everywhere he looked, you were there. Next to him in bed, in the pictures he refused to take down, in the messages he refused to delete, next to him in the car when you beg him to change the music to something else, and everywhere else you’ve been. It was his fault you were gone. A hunt had gone wrong, and he made the mistake of sending you in alone. When you didn’t come out, he grew worried until he found your body with your blood pooling beneath you.

It’s been exactly one year since you died. One year of being alone, having his brother tell him it wasn’t his fault, and having Castiel tell you how happy you were in Heaven. You being in Heaven and being happy was great, but he was miserable down here because he couldn't help but blame himself for everything.

Since it was the one-year anniversary of your death, he was sitting by himself in the war room with a bottle of your favorite whiskey. He wasn’t a huge fan of the stuff, but he was going to drink it all until there was nothing left inside the bottle so that it matched the inside of his body. Nothing inside.

A lot of shit has gone down since you died including finding out that there was another universe with a Michael so hell-bent on destroying humanity that he was willing to kill whoever to make it happen. After saving the prisoners from the other world, he couldn’t help but think about what it would be like if you were here with him. How you would interact with the newcomers, how you would help them adjust. He admired that about you--your ability to care so much about anything and everything despite the hell you’ve been through.

He grabbed the bottle and didn’t bother pouring it into the glass. He tipped his head back and took two large gulps, feeling the burn go down his throat. Lately, he’s been welcoming the burn because it’s the only thing he can really feel. His whole body has been going into shock as the date of your anniversary approaches, but now that it’s actually here, his whole body is just numb.

He took another shot from the bottle when his brother came in with a grimace. On the table next to the empty glass were two pictures--one of him and you in his room laying on the bed where your face was hiding in his chest and one of just you wearing a white dress that flowed all around you. He didn’t know he was crying until his brother came into view and was all blurry. He wiped the tears from his eyes as he took another sip from the bottle.

“Dean, it’s been a year,” Sam said softly as he sat down. He knew what his brother could get like when a close friend had died, but he’s never cried about it. Then again, you’re the one he truly loved in this world besides his brother. You were the love of his life which is why he was taking this so hard.

“Yeah, a year of her being gone because of a mistake I made,” he sighed.

“I miss her too, but she wouldn’t want this for you, you know that.”

“Maybe,” he shrugged. Whatever Sam was saying went in one ear and out the other. He refused to believe this wasn’t his fault, and nothing Sam or anyone else could change his mind.

“Dean, I know this isn’t the best time--”

“Then don’t.”

“--but Michael is becoming a dangerous threat. He’s planning something big, and if we don’t figure it out, then there won’t be any time to mourn Y/N. We will all be dead,” Sam finished his thought even though his brother interrupted him. Before either one of them could say anything more, there was a loud knock coming from the metal door. Both brother frowned since everyone they knew either was too far to visit or could pop in at any time. They both slowly got up, grabbed their guns, and headed up the stairs. Dean reached the top first, and since there was no peephole, he opened the door while his brother trained his gun at whoever was standing there.

“Hello boys,” Michael grinned.

“What the hell do you want?” Dean growled.

“And why did you knock on the door? You know you can just pop in,” Sam asked with a confused look.

“Dean, have you thought any more about my proposition?”

“I’ll tell you what I told you the first time you asked. There is no way in hell I am letting you use my body as your meat suit.”

“I figured you were going to say that. Which is why I brought her. Y/N, dear, would you come here?” Michael grinned as he looked off to the side.

“No,” Dean whispered, already knowing what was coming.

“Hi Dean,” you whispered when you came into view. Both brothers seemed shocked to find you standing here, but Michael was an archangel with resurrecting powers. Michael placed his hands on your shoulders as he held you in front of him, and Dean was about ready to whoop his ass when Sam stopped him.

“Would you reconsider my offer?” Michael grinned.

“Not a chance,” he said even though his voice faltered.

“Even if she had no lungs?” he asked. As soon as the words left his mouth, you gasped for air since you suddenly didn’t have lungs anymore. Your whole body was on fire from the lack of oxygen, and you tried your hardest to get at least one breath of fresh air.

“You son of a bitch,” Dean yelled.

“Say yes and this stops.”

“Don’t… do… it,” you gasped as Michael held you back from going to Dean.

“What about instead of no lungs, she had intensive internal bleeding?” Michael asked. As soon as your lungs were replaced, you took a deep lungful of air before your insides started churning. Coughing up blood, you hunched over as the pain started to spread throughout your body. Looking at Dean, you began to feel your eyes start to drip, and when you looked down, you realized they were dripping blood. Michael grinned at the twisted look Dean gave, and he used his powers to transport you back to wherever he was hiding.

“Where the hell did she go?” Dean yelled as his brother fought to hold him back. It wasn’t smart to go up against an Angel this powerful without any kind of special weapons.

“If you keep refusing me, her pain is only going to get worse. I’ll heal her only to increase her pain. If you keep refusing me, all you’re going to get from her are her screams as she begs for me to stop. Say yes and she can come home. It’s up to you. Do you really love her enough to let me inside?” he asked with a grin before disappearing from sight. Dean yelled out in pain as he pushed his brother away.

“SON OF A BITCH! FUCK!”

“Dean…”

“What do I do?” he asked, his voice completely broken as to match the inside of his body. He was completely broken in every way he knew possible. Were you more important or was his sanity? Because if he let Michael in, he knew that was the end for him.

15.4 Thoughts

Well... at least this episode didn’t destroy me, which is something... I guess. Gosh... this season WILL be the death of me. At least they didn’t make us watch the break-up again. I was worried that was going to be in the ‘Then’ opening of the show...

Anywho, here we go, episode 4 thoughts!

Here are the things I liked (& my feelings didn’t mind):

HOT DAMN bearded Dean being all sexy and rugged and badass in that red lighting

BENNY!!! (let’s ignore the context of Benny for now... we’re keeping my feelings happy here)

The whole veggie bacon ordeal

the way Dean mouths the quote along with Sam

the way they argue about Dean being the ‘meat man’

Sammy realizing the bacon is real - & Dean being all proud ‘damn right it is’ because he’s the meat man

I’m sorry but that tiny coffee cup in Sam’s huge hand is just adorable

Getting back to the good ol’ days:

Finding a case, “sounds exactly like our thing, so let’s go check it out”

Sam’s face is so DONE with the parents saying the lacrosse game getting canceled will be the end of the world - “The end of the world IS the end of the world”

Dean’s obsession with this mascot lol

Also, that ‘someone has a fetish’ comment about the cheerleaders

The fact that Dean’s eating in almost every scene (do you think Jensen was just super hungry? Since he was the director?)

Here are things I liked (but hit me right in the feels...):

I’m so thankful this wasn’t a Dean dream, because if Dean was dreaming this, the moment with Benny would have wrecked me completely

Still, though, that “I’ll see you on the other side brother” came close to killing me.

The whole dream with Dark Sammy

Sioux Falls mention! Bobby! Jody!

Dean telling Sammy this isn’t him, it’s the demon blood

SAMMY KILLED DEAN. KILLED HIM. HE KILLED DEAN.

It’s almost worse that the dream is Sam’s instead of Dean’s, because Dean fearing for his own safety is one thing, but Sam fearing for other people’s safety is heartbreaking.

Sam in this episode... (no wonder Jared’s mental health isn’t the best right now, jeez...)

His speech about the white picket fence ‘bubble’ that the town gets to live in

His comment about how they have to carry the weight of everything

Dean pulling out his flask as he listens to Sammy say things that Dean has always said - because it’s usually Sam’s job to talk him out of this dark place, and now Dean doesn’t know what to do

Later, Sam admitting he feels empty, and he misses Jess </3

Dean trying to talk Sammy out of it, saying they’re free with this relieved kind of smile, saying they need to keep doing the hard job for the people that cared about them, for Jack and mom and Rowena and everyone else.

& Sammy saying “I don’t feel free” & “Sometimes it’s like I can’t breathe” & when Dean asks what happens if that feeling doesn’t go away, and they silently exchange that look...

BECKY DON’T TELL CHUCK TO WRITE WTF ARE YOU DOING

At least Chuck admitted to not being able to see them anymore... that’s a plus...

Chuck’s comment “I’ll give you danger” - gosh Becky, why did you push this man?!?!?!

That girl’s speech: did anyone else see Destiel parallels? It’s literally a speech about how she misses her best friend. How life won’t be the same. Etc. Sure, it’s clearly fake, but that seems to piss Dean off more when he calls her out on that - & Dean can tell it’s fake because he feels those things for real. He has his own special ‘ghost orchard’/’snowflake’ that he’s missing.

SPEAKING OF DESTIEL PARALLELS

Dean talking to Sammy about ‘moving on’ & he has to pause before saying that, and he looks pained like he’s remembering Cas saying it to him

& Sam putting Dean in his place, shutting that idea down, saying he can’t move on. It’s impossible.

The scene with Dean, Sam, and the parents. When Dean comments on their ‘awesome parenting’ & the dad says “you don’t have children, do you?”

The look on Dean’s face is heartbreaking...

& later, when they both admit that they’d do the same for Jack... it hurts. It hurts a lot.

OF COURSE they have to turn the classic ‘let’s just get back to what we’re good at and try to move on’ episode into something SOUL CRUSHING.

Poor Billy (I know, a broken record, but omg)

And the fact that Billy just gives himself over, and he sits on his knees crying, and Dean has to execute the poor kid like that, and Sam can barely watch

Chuck is seriously fucked up (I mean, we knew this, but still... my god - pun intended - this dude is fucking crazy)

The ominous ‘ending’ he wrote

How he doesn’t know how he’ll get there, but he’ll get there somehow

Becky saying it’s dark. Saying he can’t do it to the fans. “What you did to Dean... What you did to Sam...” “It’s awful, horrible, hopeless”

"Oh Becky, I can do anything. I’m a writer”

Chuck envisioning “Supernatural: The End” with the gravestone on the cover that just reads ‘Winchester’ (btw, if it’s jut one gravestone, do you think only one of them died? Or are they buried together? Or were they given a hunter’s funeral, and the gravestone is just there to commemorate them???)

Chuck making Becky’s family disappear! Making her panic and cry! Then doing it to her! al;do’rihigjsgk’dma I HATE HIM

Chuck at the very end, writing so hard that Dean & Sam’s figurines are bobbing. “Oh yeah, this is gonna be good”

Yeah... not looking like it’ll be good Chuck. NOT LOOKING LIKE IT WILL BE GOOD AT ALL!

I guess now I’ll go write the CODA... I’m thinking I might take the Becky road and give the boys some good ol’ domestic fluff. Don’t they deserve that? They deserve that.

Why Screenrant is a joke.

Dollface sent me this. It was mindboggling how much Sara Schmidt sounds like a quintessential heller. Everything she pointed at as proof of canon destiel, is fecal droppings found on Tumblr.

That's right, Cas and Dean shared a moment under the mistletoe! Did you miss it? While Bieber wasn't really playing in the background, some mistletoe could definitely be sighted hanging above the cuties during season eight's eighth episode, ''Hunteri Heroici''.

The episode features some of Cas's most adorable moments, from trying to be a detective and sniffing a body in the process to staying in the hotel with the brothers, saying another great line: "I'll watch over you." No, it's not a huge 'ship spoiler on its own, but within the context of all the other great one-liners it seems pretty romantic. Or stalkery. However you view it.

Those are the exact words. Can you say fine tooth comb? The funny thing is that she does give us an opportunity to pick a view and yes, I do view it as stalkery, because that is what Dean calls its. He says its creepy and rapey. Even if we take it as is, it proves Cas likes Dean and does not denote mutual attraction.

7. Hugging

''Fans of Dean Winchester know that he might have a reputation with the ladies but he sure isn't what you'd call a "hugger." Yet he seems to be falling into Castiel's arms quite often--and with much more gusto than he hugs his little brother, Sammy.It's not that Sam and Dean never hug; they two share many heartfelt brotherly moments on the show. But Dean seems rather eager to leap into Cas's arms as opposed to the reluctant, awkward back-patting that he exchanges with his own flesh and blood. We get it, Dean. We like hugging the people we're sweet on, too.''

Talk about subjective. More gusto? According to who, heller? He is a hugger. He hugs lots of people. Jessica, his parents, Charlie, Jack. But hold the phone when he hugs Dean. SMH.

6. The profound bond

This is the same quote revisited plenty of times. This is because hellers don't understand the character of the character they stan. He doesn't speak ordinary English. Cas is more Dean's friend than Sam. That is what profound bond means. Even if we take it as is, it proves Cas likes Dean and does not denote mutual attraction.

5. Dean was able to break to Naomi's brainwashing by saying ''I need you". Naomi also said that she knew he wanted to "return to him," which sounds like she's alluding to a romantic relationship.

That bit I cannot get. Cas is so useless to Team Free Will that you can write the last five seasons of SPN without him. But Dean needs him, why? Maybe Dean meant ''I need you to not kill me'', despite the fact that it turns on the hellers. Of course, Sara Schmidt chooses to forget that Jensen scraped the ''I love you'' line. Sorry hellers, Jensen does not want destiel to be canon.

4. I cant summaries this delusion in one line. There is just too much stupid.

Speaking of that phrase, how many pairings are revealed when one character utters, "I need you," to the other? It's a classic line that's meant to convey more than one need, to say the least, and Dean and Cas tend to state it to one another over and over again to the point where it's a favorite fan quote used most often to support the unofficial couple.

What makes this line even more revealing is Dean's famous disdain for the words, or touchy-feely words in general, as he's repeatedly told his brother throughout the series. Naturally we still get plenty of those brotherly moments, but Dean seems to not mind having those saccharine sweet sentiments with Cas as much and has said this line multiple times.

3. Balthazar tells Dean, "You have me confused with the other angel. You know, the one in the dirty trench coat who's in love with you."

Balthazar is a jerk. Taking him seriously, is the dumbest thing anyone one would do. Even if we take his words as is, it proves Cas likes Dean and does not denote mutual attraction.

2. The beard stroke" in Purgatory together

Yes, lets reach right into our arse to look for proof, shall we? This twat reach right into season 8. Poor thing. His clean shaven friend grew a beard and he was amused. It must mean Dean wants to boink him.

1. Dean keeping Cas's trench coat after he died.

In her over-reaching, she dug up parallels from Ennis and Jack in Brokeback Mountain and how Ennis kept Jack's coat after he died. Typical heller behavior. Madame Heller forgets that Jensen laughed at the stupidity of it. Even Misha laughed because Jensen brought it up right in front of his face. So he had to agree but behind Jensen's back, Misha called Dean a pervert who was doing things with the coat. But don't you bother your teeny, tiny, itty, bitty little head with facts. Stick to your metaphor and parallel if it makes you smile.

I asked myself if Misha was networking again. And how come Screenrant writes such questionable material. I scrolled to the end of the page and found this.

Click on Write for Us, and fill in the form. If you are a good writer, you get your drivel published and you get paid. That is why there is so much heller delusion on Screenrant. They have absolutely no journalistic credibility because who the heck is fact checking? No one. Does Screenrant care? No. They just look for traffic. That is why its called Screenrant and not TVInquirer or something like that. They don't care how they get views etc. As long as they get it. The sad thing is that TPTB on SPN will read the article and think that its the voice of all the fans of SPN. So lets do something about it, shall we?

Go forth people, and flood Screenrant with requests to write. And write the truth. Its the only way to level the playing field, because these hellers are extremely underhanded. Their hope may be to bully Jensen into making destiel canon. Write about the death threats. Write about Misha's mugging. Write about the Travis Aaron Wade scandal. Write about what acceptable shipper behavior is. Write about how you don't want to see the forcing of a ship, that will make the leads uncomfortable. Write about mental illness and how, coaxing a suicidal person like Jared to kill himself, is downright evil. Speak up for Jared, because these people trash his reputation. Speak up about Nolacon. Speak up about Jensen's homophobia and his aunt. Speak about the academic work that revolves around Jensen's homophobia. Speak up about the entitled hellers who destroyed SPN's reputation with queer baiting accusations. And earn a buck while you do it. I am going to do that too. And I will do it for free.

SUPERNATUAL 21 QUESTIONS

(THE INCREDIBLE HEATHER, AKA @sammichgirl, did this and tagged me as one of her favorite blogs, so I’m giving it a go. Thanks, doll.)

1. When did you start watching Supernatural?

On September 19, 2012. I was recovering from surgery and had binged all there was to binge on Netflix at that point, and I asked my BFF James what I should watch. He immediately said “Supernatural!” I was skeptical, and I asked him exactly what it was about. He told me brothers, Sam and Dean, who were “slayers,” probably because he knew I loved BtVS and that would interest me. I thought hmmm, maybe. That same day my other BFF, Angel, called to check on me, so I asked her if she had any recommendations—and she said the same thing! She, like James, had watched every episode live since day one. So I watched the pilot, and was immediately struck by the twin images of Mary and Jessica burning on the ceiling. I HAD TO KNOW WHY. Three weeks later, I finished season 6, just in time for Netflix to add season 7, and not long after I finished that, season 8 began airing live, with me right in front of my TV every Tuesday night, dying to see what would happen next. AND I’M STILL HERE (and have been to THREE conventions, lord have mercy!)

2. Who is your favorite in TFW?

Like Heather, I never really thought that was a thing. It was a line put in for a laugh in one episode that got blown up into a big deal, but I never felt invested in the concept. But if you’re asking me which character is my favorite among Sam, Dean, and Castiel, my favorite will always be Dean. You can’t love him without loving Sam too, however, and there are episodes in which my sympathies are more with Sam, and episodes in which I identify/sympathize more with Dean. I rarely sympathize with Castiel because he’s not human.

3. Who is your least favorite in TFW?

Castiel. I haven’t much liked his character since season 5, but I do recognize that’s entirely the writers’ fault.

4. Tag your top 5 Supernatural blogs.

The ones I turn to again and again for gifs (and which have been particularly useful in illustrating my 2019 rewatch) have been: @sensitivehandsomeactionman @secretsandgreeneyes @saucynewf @demondetoxmanual and @spn-idjits-guide-to-hunting. I am a thousand percent sure I’m leaving out at least fifty I love and adore 🥰, and it will drive me nuts thinking about it!

5. Who is your favorite character (not including TFW)?

Bobby Singer, no contest, hands down.

6. Who is your favorite woman in Supernatural?

Ellen Harvelle. A calm, steadying presence with the knowledge and skill to back up her formidable courage. Tough when she needed to be, loving when the people she cared about were in trouble. Heroic.

7. John or Mary?

Neither or both. If you erase the Dabb era resurrection of Mary, then both. Both John and Mary had profound impacts on Sam and Dean’s personalities and views of the world—John’s by his presence and Mary’s by her absence. They made our boys who they are. But if you count Mary’s resurrection and terrible new character arc, then John of course.

8. What were your first opinions of Sam, Dean, Cas, and Jack?

I thought it was commendable for Sam to want to go to law school, and tragic what happened to Jessica and his plans for the future. I loved how open he was with Dean (early days!), how much trust he had in him, and how easily victims responded to him. Also: book smarts are a turn-on of mine.

I fell in love with Dean’s beauty by Wendigo, and his everything else by Home. The brave face, the stiff upper lip hiding the vulnerability and insecurity from his little brother because he feels he has to be strong for him—all that just made me love him more. Also: a wicked sense of humor is a huge turn-on of mine.

Castiel has a great character entrance. Emotionless. He burned out Pamela’s eyes. I thought that was unnecessary. He and Uriel were alien beings whose motives were the opposite of pure, so I feared his power and questioned his interaction with Sam and Dean.

Jack: Oh, I get it—the CW needs to compete with Riverdale and its other shows featuring teenagers, so they invented Lucifer’s son to boost ratings. *shrug*

9. What’s your favorite season?

2, 4, and 5–there are just too many good ones to have just one favorite. I also love 1 and 3. LOL.

10. What’s your least favorite season?

Season 12 just about broke me. Let me count the ways: Lucifer possessing the President of the United States (oh please, I watch this show to ESCAPE real life, tyvm), Sam and Dean MURDERING him in yet another failed attempt to kill Lucifer, being sent to “Supermax” which, again, PLEASE, do you even know what would happen to the assassins responsible for killing the POTUS? Not even Sam and Dean would be able to bust out of that lockup—no effing way—yet they did. And how did they do it? By murdering a shitload of HUMAN BEINGS just doing their jobs, running around with AK-47s while yelling how they’re the guys who saved the world 🙄 I can’t see either Sam or Dean EVER bragging about that, and since then, they have, many times, and it always sets my teeth on edge. SEASON TWELVE DOESN’T EXIST TO ME.

11. What’s your opinion on Destiel?

It’s a fan ship that is popular among the younger, less experienced viewers of our show (many of whom haven’t even seen any seasons/episodes without Castiel in them), so my opinion isn’t very high. It’s like Dean and Cas are two dolls, and the Destiel fandom’s chief delight is mashing them together any way they can. And forcing the rest of us to hear them lecture us on how it’s “real,” how it’s “going to be canon,” and generally alienating everyone who doesn’t ship those two characters. I ignore anything to do with it.

12. Do you believe Supernatural queerbaits?

I’m not queer, so bearing in mind that I wouldn’t necessarily see it if it did, I’ve tried to look at it as impartially and dispassionately as possible, and I believe that Misha has been guilty of it, on occasion. (Sure, it’s all in good fun, he’s only kidding, he’s having a laugh, etc.) Ben Edlund has as well. Robbie Thompson was perhaps guilty of it a time or two. But this is all supposing that it is impossible for A TRUE PLATONIC LOVING RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TWO MEN to be portrayed on television. I mean, Dean/Castiel is the only “baiting” I’ve ever heard people yell about, so I’m sticking to this one possible pairing as the one responsible for this question. I personally have no trouble accepting a platonic same-sex relationship...but queer fandom seems to have a lot of trouble with this concept?

13. Seasons 1-7 or 8-14?

Hahahaha, obviously 1-7. KEEP 12 AWAY FROM ME.

14. Who’s your favorite villain?

CROWLEY. He was so awful before his redemptive stuff at the end. Never forget that as of the end of season 8, he was murdering all the innocent people Sam and Dean had saved (including Sarah Blake!), then in season 9, he was the one responsible for getting Gadreel out of Sam. After that, he wasn’t really a villain anymore. But he was so irredeemably evil for four seasons!

15. Do you think they should end the Lucifer plot line?

THEY HAVE! Now they just need to end the NICK plot line.

16. Who do you think has been through more trauma—Sam, Dean or Cas?

Sam and Dean have been through the SAME traumas, almost exactly, so I call theirs dead even. I wouldn’t want to measure or quantify “trauma” in any case. Castiel isn’t human, so I never thought of him as undergoing any trauma.

17. What’s your favorite Supernatural episode?

Mystery Spot, 3x11. It’s the one I would show someone new to the show. It’s the one I watch when I’m down. I LOVE stories with the time-loop trope ❤️ The acting is phenomenal. It’s funny, it’s tragic, it’s everything.

18. Do you like the case episodes?

All of season 1 is comprised of “case” episodes. Looking for John and Sam’s connection to “the demon” are secondary in that season, and I loved it enough to fall in love with the entire series, so YES. I’m a horror/mystery buff at heart.

19. Who do you relate most to in TFW?

It will come as no surprise to anyone reading this that my answer is Dean.

20. Why do you like Supernatural?

Honestly, it’s the only place I can see the Winchesters do their thing—make their choices, fight their battles, and live their lives. They DO lead eventful lives!

21. If you could bring back one character and kill another off, who would they be?

I’m gonna interpret “bring back” as “never killed off” and go with Bobby—the Bobby we knew and loved, the Bobby who had the boys’ backs and was always there, dispensing wisdom and advice. “Bring back” means an entirely different thing now that there’s an AU—they can (and have) brought back EVERYBODY in an effort to appease fans and boost ratings. I think it’s a failure of imagination, personally, and I’ll give that version of bringing back a hard pass.

I would definitely kill Castiel off, or send him to Heaven for good. And then I don’t want to hear another word about Heaven or Hell again, the end. He hasn’t done anything but give pep talks and occasionally perform a miraculous task when the writers need him to. His character has already been killed, and it was a slow death by a thousand cuts. Very sad.

Supernatural has this incredible knack for pairing just the right song with a particular scene, making it resonate even more. Whether it’s comedy, drama, angst, or action, there have been so many moments that have been enhanced by just the right music. Here is my top ten list of best musical moments on Supernatural.

“Ghostfacers” Season 3, Episode 13

The vision of Sam tied up, sitting around the table with Corbin and the mummified corpses of Freeman Dagget’s forever birthday party guests while this song plays over and over is truly creepy.

“Well Respected Man” by The Kinks

“It’s a Terrible Life” Season 4, Episode 17

I like this because this is kind of a chipper song, and as we watch the montage of Dean going through a typical day, it just feels more and more wrong as the song goes on. This was the perfect song to illustrate that. By the end, I wanted to scream “What the hell?”

“Space Oddity” by David Bowie

“Clap Your Hands If You Believe” Season 6, Episode 9

I had to include this song from my favorite episode. Dean starts out looking utterly confused, then he gets mad, all while getting his ass kicked by a tiny, glowing fairy just before he traps her in the microwave as this song plays in the background. Love this!

“Fare Thee Well (Dink’s Song) by Rob Benedict

“Don’t Call Me Shurley” Season 11, Episode 20

This moment was so enjoyable because it was so unexpected. We all know Rob Benedict can sing from his work with Louden Swain. But when Chuck picked up a guitar and started to sing, and suddenly the situation which seemed so dire a second ago was now better, I was confused. Then the Samulet began to glow…..

“Heat of the Moment” by Asia

“Mystery Spot” Season 3, Episode 11

I like this song, but it will forever be associated with this episode for me now. At first, it’s funny, seeing Dean singing along and being the adorable dork he is, but each time the day resets and the song replays, you feel Sam’s increasing panic. Poor Sam!

“Rock of Ages” by Def Leppard

“Swan Song” Season 5, Episode 22

Gunter, Glieben, Glauchen, Globen. Dean comes barreling through Stull Cemetery blaring this through Baby’s speakers, ready to put himself between Michael and Lucifer and the apocalypse. I’m a huge Def Leppard fan, so I had to put this song on my list. Go Team Free Will!

“Night Moves” by Bob Seger

“Baby” Season 11. Episode 3

In a series full of great brother moments, this is one of best brother moments of them all. No one is in danger, no one is dying, the world isn’t ending, just Sam and Dean driving in Baby, being brothers. Perfection.

“Oh, Death” by Jen Titus

“Two Minutes to Midnight” Season 5, Episode 21

This is probably my favorite introduction to a character the series has ever done. When the man bumps into Death, and as Death nonchalantly brushes off his coat, the man falls to the ground as Jen Titus sings mournfully, “My name is Death and the end is here.” Just so well done.

“Silent Lucidity” by Queensryche

“Heart” Season 2, Episode 17

This scene. This freaking scene. The moment when Sam realizes that he is going to have to kill the woman he loves, and this song is playing quietly in the background. I had just started binging Supernatural, and this freaking episode was the first of many times this damn show damn near broke me. I still can’t watch it without tearing up.

“Carry On My Wayward Son.” by Kansas

“Fan Fiction” Season 10, Episode 5

The girls are onstage singing this song, and Sam and Dean are watching from the side. This moment was EVERYTHING. I was so overcome with love for this show, and love for these characters, it was overwhelming. I have never felt this way about another show, and that’s what makes Supernatural unique.

so I finally caught up with Supernatural seasons 12 & 13 bc I’ve been hearing so many good things and BOI AM I REALLY HAPPY AND ANGRY AT THE SAME TIME. They brought back so many faves! Gabe, Charlie!!!, Bobby, Kevin (even though they fucked up but whatever) and they introduced Jack who literally became my favorite within two seconds of screen time like wow what a precious boy I’d die for him. Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve always loved SPN but seasons 8-11 were pretty forgettable tbh. But the whole vibe of these new seasons has been fantastic, they brought back the comedy and the amazing/heartbreaking stories that we love this show for. So i’m most definitely gonna be doing some writing/imagines about these newest storylines because I’m just so excited. (lowkey wish they’d bring back ellen/jo but whatever) it’s just so nice to see these familiar faces even if they’re not exactly the people we knew years ago. So yeah, here are just a few thoughts about my reawakening of love for SPN because I thought i’d finally grown tired of it but here they go dragging me right back in. If you have any writing ideas/prompts feel free to shoot me a message, I have so many ideas brewing in my head right now.

Didn’t want to make this too long so here’s just a few things I really really enjoyed seeing from these last two seasons:

Bringing back Characters who deserved better: Charlie, Bobby, Kevin, and Gabriel (the last two still deserve better)

Addressing the problem with Mary being alive again and how that changes the Winchester dynamic

That scene at the end of season 12 where Dean tells Mary what him and Sam had to go through because of her, that acting made me sob like never before

Monster of the week again, at least for a little

lighthearted episodes ! the scooby-doo crossover was absolutely fucking hilarious and they made the absurdness of it work

Gabriel confronting Lucifer, FINALLY about his whole ‘dad locked me up’ thing like you were the bad guy Lucifer, you need to own up to your bullshit

And Gabriel in general?? just wow I missed you bitch

Gabe x Rowena was HILARIOUS

JACK! I cannot say enough about how much I loved this character like what a breath of fresh air to have a new character that is so complicated and so relatable and so pure!

His relationship with all of the boys, but especially Sam was heartwarming

Up until 13x23 the lack of either boy being possessed by demon/god/angel etc. for once like wow thx

Mary getting a storyline outside of being the boy’s dead mom and really become her own person, I was really annoyed with her but now I understand her and i love her

I missed the original Lucifer so having Mark back was a treat, he really does the role justice and I’m sad to see him go and throughout the season the way he makes the audience really sympathize with him despite knowing how terrible he is,,,,like wow,,,,What a man

Dean and Castiel’s little spats throughout these seasons were adorable like i’m not a huge fan of destiel but,,,,,yall they’re married

and lastly (for now) the whole aspect of family and how much team free will loves each other was delightful to see on screen and I hope we get more of that next season

My 2019 Blog Review

Today's the last day of 2019, so I thought it would be fun to dig through my archive and reflect on my blog activity over the past year. I am doing this on my phone but once I have access to a computer again, I'll put this all under a cut. I just can't do it on my phone.

Jan 2019

- Tumblr's background color changed and apparently I'm the only one who liked the change.

- Kingdom Hearts 3 release -- of course, this was a huge thing in my blog at the time. Afterall, I'd only been waiting 15 years for this game. And while I definitely had problems with the game, it also had some very memorable moments that I loved...like Sora punching Davey Jones (I never ever want to forget that moment).

- I began my adventure of learning Japanese. I'm doing pretty good so far.

- The Mummy (Brendon Fraser) appreciation. Occamshipper apparently doesn't like these movies but I love them. I met some great people because I told occamshipper that whereas they didn't like The Mummy Returns, it is in fact one of my favorite all time movies.

- Lots of rambling about my love for Lucy Heartfilia and the Nalu ship from Fairy Tail.

Feb 2019

- BoA Appreciation. I love K-Pop and BoA is one of my all time favs.

- The Vic Micnogna scandal. Honestly, I don't really care about what's going on with the trial, what bothers me is the stain that was left on Funimation because of it. The voice actors really alienated the fanbase in this scandal and I didn't like that.

- Power Rangers appreciation. I love Power Rangers and unironically, too. My favorite power ranger is Adam from Mighty Morphin.

- Within Temptation's new Resist Album dropped and I loved it. I love these epic stories they tell with their albums and the vibes they give.

- I watched the Mythica franchise and my appreciation affair for Zombie Girl began.

- Ronon/Keller appreciation. I loved this pairing so much and I'm super sad the show never did more with them.

- Legacies Reviews. Apparently people find me funny? I have a sense of humor that people enjoy?

Mar 2019

- Emily Bett Rickards revealed she would not be on Arrow for its final season. I was really depressed a out that and I got a lot of hate from comic book fans for daring to say that I like the character of Felicity Smoak.

- Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles appreciation. One of my favorite anime/manga of all time.

- I was a victim of credit card fraud because of Creation Entertainment and then they tried to deny they were at fault despite hundreds of their customers reporting credit card fraud all at the same time. They eventually retracted their statement but because of this, I will probably never go to a Creation convention again. They're way overpriced and I certainly will not entrust my important info to them again.

Apr 2019

- Shadowhunters final season started airing and they went from irritating to just plain boring. Seriously, the season's biggest crime isn't how misogynist and racist it was, it was that it was completely nonsensical and boring for me.

- The release of Taylor Swift's and Brendon Urie's collab of ME! and I seem to be the only one that seems to legitimately love that song (even the "spelling is fun" part, RIP you beautiful lyric, alas, you were too good and pure to last in this hateful unfunny world of judgemental culture).

- The X Family appreciation. This is one of my favorite Taiwanese dramas and definitely my favorite series in the KO franchise.

- I broke up with the main SPN meta community (otherwise known as the Positive Police). We just didn't see eye-to-eye. I didn't appreciate them lording over the fandom telling people what they should and should not ship, telling people what they should and should not like...and they didn't appreciate me saying so. May 2019

- Game of Thrones crappy ending. What is there to really say about it? It was terrible and misogynist AF.

- Ezra appreciation from the Natural Oneders TFS at the Table D&D campaign. Ezra Lockwood was my favorite character and I'm not okay with how he was written out of the campaign.

- I was quite angry about Dean destroying Chuck's guitar like Dean was a 5-year-old child angry that he didn't get his way (seriously, Dean needs to be sent to time-out).

Jun 2019

- Quicksilver and Dadneto meta commentary from FOX 's X-Men franchise. So much lost potential there, unfortunately (thanks, Dark Phoenix).

- Orca appreciation. They're beautiful, majestic creatures and I love them, they might be my spirit animal.

- Someone unfollowed me because I wasn't giving enough attention to real-world problems. Essentially, I wasn't woke enough I guess. But I'm sorry, if I want to feel all righteous and justicey, I'll watch the news. Social justice and politics are not primary focuses of this blog.

- Godzilla King of Monsters was fantastic.

- Chuck TV Series appreciation. I love this show and I miss it dearly.

- Veronica Mars Season 4 discourse. Essentially I hate what happened to Logan and what it means for Veronica's character moving forward.

- Played Love Island The Game and had way more fun than I probably rightfully should've had.

Aug 2019

- Re-watched Sailor Moon and then watched Sailor Moon Crystal. Both shows are so much fun. Plus, I love Sailor Jupiter. I love Jupiter's personality and her power aesthetic is badass to match her personality.

- Taylor Swift's Lover album dropped. I might be in the minority but it actually ranks pretty low on my list of Taylor Swift albums.

- Skillet's Victorious album dropped a d ot was a huge disappointment for me.

- I found watermelon to be my new favorite post-workout snack.

Sep 2019

- I watched The Untamed and I absolutely adore this show. I started watching more chinese dramas because of this show. And whereas I haven't found something I enjoyed quite as much from the chinese drama list, I've still greatly enjoyed a lit of the shows...but they still have nothing on The Untamed. The Untamed is just so good.

- Lover Fest was announced. And it was real shady the dealings that were going on with this. It actually kind of made me wary of actually wanting to see Taylor live.

Oct 2019

- I began the Korean drama, Extra-Ordinary You. I haven't finished it yet, but I plan to. I wanted to wait until the entire series was done airing. It does really interesting things with tropes and I greatly enjoy this show and can't wait to to return to it.

- Sherlolly appreciation. Rediscovered my love for the Sherlock/Molly ship from Sherlock.

-Leverage appreciation. Absolutely fantastic show. Highly recommend it.

-Psych tv series appreciation. Another one of my favorite shows of all time.

- I wrote a Dean Winchester endgame meta. It was fun.

Dec 2019

- Kamen Rider Den-O appreciation. My favorite from the Kamen Rider franchise. I've been re-watching it and it's so much fun. Sato Takeru is amazing in it and the fact that this one of his first acting jobs and he's able to pull off doing so many different characters is seriously amazing.

- SPN finally brought us an angel/vessel dynamic in the form of Adam and Michael and it was amazing.

- The Jumanji re-make appreciation. I love it and The Next Level is just as good as its predecessor and I'm anxiously awaiting the next film in the franchise.

- My thoughts on why I'm single. Mainly because I'm lazy and I just don't feel like doing through all of the work involved in dating.

There you have it. That's 2019 for me. It had its ups and its downs but blog wise, I think I had a pretty good year.

“Shaving People, Punting Things”-Promo for the 2nd Half of Season 13 “Siamo Tornati” a.k.a. “We’re back!”

Alright, like always when something new is released, I am fast asleep halfway around the world. So of course I am late to the party and no one needs another post on any of this, but here I go anyway… ;P Just wanted to briefly touch on the aspects I found interesting in this little snippet - though of course we know the episodes always drastically change in tone to these promos the show puts out. Still… there may be one thing or another that could be a sneak peek into something possibly more interesting.

Of course most of this seems to be centered around the spin off given most of the shots feature the cast of Wayward, the bits that I find most interesting however I feel may be more part of the overall bigger arc of “Supernatural” and the story of the Winchesters - saying it again, I wished the show would put as much effort into its look, the locations and shots and darkness at all times and not just for the spin off episodes, because in quality those differed quite a bit to most other episodes written under Dabb as showrunner.

But I’m going to stop ranting and just briefly, bullet style mention which moments spark thoughts:

1) Fire in the bunker: Or at least I assume it’s a door in the bunker since it looks so much like the one to Dean’s room which was featured with the long shot in 9x14 “Captives”. Will be interesting to find out how that one plays out. I have mused many a times about the bunker possibly (needing) to burn down in order for the show to progress further and for the Winchesters to “move on” literally - after all so much devastating stuff happened in these four walls. So yeah, colour me curious on that one and if someone puts the bunker on fire on purpose (maybe Lucifer who can’t get to his son hiding out there? or maybe Jack accidentally lights it up?)

2) Red boots and red hexbags: I adore that shot just for the visual alone. I suppose it could mark the re-introduction of Rowena? Or maybe even Sister Jo (definitely loved that shot of Danneel as well - I am not sure but it could either be Jack or Mary, rather thinking the latter behind her in the frame).

3) Castiel’s smile and Bobby’s weary eyes: I don’t know about you, but Castiel’s smile kind of gives me goosebumps, because we have not seen Cas smile like that in a long time, so immediately I think that this may not be Cas. Then again, I could see Cas smiling about and feeling delighted about the fact that Lucifer is locked up and can’t get to Jack. In relation to Bobby there ain’t much to say since you really can’t take away much from one close up, but still to me it feels like Otherworld!Bobby may “remember” something from another life…

4) The guy at the truck stop: This fella could be anyone of course, but I think the show has used him before. And I feel vaguely reminded of the guy who prays to “God” in Season 5 when Dean tells him he can call Michael down. Plus: Cliché look wise one could associate the looks of the guy with how Jesus is depicted often times, but that may be accidental - then again it would not be completely surprising if the show decided to actually bring Christ into play. Though I have to admit I think I would not be a huge fan of that since the show has worked so cleverly with Team Free Will all at times filling the role of christ. So in that regard to me there is no need to introduce “Jesus”.

5) The “Bad Place”-Traveler and a Knockout: It seems to me that when Sam and Dean return from Jurassic World, they may bring back someone from that world and just sound wise that being reminds me majorly of the “Chitters” in S11. The way they moved, the clicking sounds… I don’t know it just gave me similar vibes - though of course the chitters had green and not red eyes. That episode back then to me always also alluded to so much more - the whole aspect of a new species and something “dark with wings hatching” could be re-introduced. I suspect though that if the show wanted to tie the beginning of the season into it they could retcon the shedim maybe living in that world… I guess we’ll see. My gut feeling still tells me that that traveler is somehow connected to Kaia and serves as her “shadow self” and with that works as a parallel to Dean’s MoC arc, which was paralleled to Kaia in the mid season finale (as talked about here and here). Plus, I feel like the fist through the door and Dean punching Sam (he somehow doesn’t look like he may be the one calling the shots there, but it’s hard to tell in those milliseconds) both loosely call back to the MoC arc as well.

6) The one with the head hanging down: This shot to me feels like it is played about to be one of the most integral aspects of the second half, but I could be entirely wrong. In any case it sems whoever that is has been locked up for quite a while. Just hair wise one could assume Aesmodeus, but I don’t think that’s the case. Hair and clothing wise I personally had to immediately think of Gavin McLeod, but that is unlikely as well. Then I wondered about the truck stop guy and whether he may be the one Donna tells to “not lie to God” and then I had to also think of Metatron. I guess it will be none of any of those options lol, but most sense would possibly make the truck stop guy. Personally, what I would find to be most compelling and which I guess isn’t ever going to be the case, is if they finally introduced normal SPN-universe’s Michael and that would be him…

So yeah, that’s about ir. Like I said, no one needs another post on it. Sorry!!! Therefore last but not least, Dean’s ending line. I’m sure it’s entirely meant to be taken in relation to the episode it’s in, still I personally have felt for a while that SPN may have 1 and half seasons left at most…

A/N: Written for @thing-you-do-with-that-thing ‘s Seasons of Love - Colors of Fall Challenge. My prompt was pumpkin spice latte.

“Jens.” You nudged your boyfriend who had fallen asleep on your shoulder, waiting to film a scene. You’d both been sitting outside in the pouring rain all day and night waiting to film. You were cold, miserable, exhausted, but you’d had the foresight have coffee delivered. Jensen on the other hand, did not. “Jensen.” You nudged him again when he grunted in response the first time, unwilling to wake up. “We gotta finish this scene babe, get up.”

“Gimme.” Jensen reached out, grabbing your extra large cup from your hands and downing a huge gulp of your coffee before you could stop him. He choked, swallowing it down and glaring at you like you’d just kicked a puppy. “That’s not coffee!” He glared harder at you, his lips forming an angry purse and you couldn’t help but laugh.

“It is absolutely coffee.” You giggled. “It’s a pumpkin spice latte.”

“That’s not - it – no, babe. No.” Jensen stuttered and you raised an eyebrow, sipping your latte, nonplussed. “How are you drinking that shit?”

“I like pumpkin. I like lattes. I like caffeine. I like sugar. Why wouldn’t I drink this?” Jensen’s face contorted into an adorable sleepy scowl and he let out a noise that signaled his absolute disgust with you.

“It’s like I don’t even know you.” Jensen groaned. “You’ve destroyed coffee.”

You slid out of your seat, grabbing Jensen’s hand in your free one. “Come on, drama llama. Let’s film this scene so we can go home and sleep.”

Jensen took forever filming this scene. It was a simple scene, kissing in the rain. You wanted to kill him. You were soaked through, freezing, tired, and all you wanted to do was put on warm clothes and go to sleep. But Jensen was intentionally fucking up this scene and you knew it. “What the hell, Jensen!” You let out an almost inhuman screech after the 7th time he screwed up the kiss. “Come on!”

“Sorry!” Jensen held his hands up in surrender. “I’ll get it right this time, I swear!”

“I’m gonna get pneumonia because of you!” You sassed back, pushing his chest.

“Aw, don’t worry, sweetheart.” He smirked. “I’ll take care of you.” You couldn’t help but roll your eyes, taking your place back on your mark.

“We just need one good shot of the kiss from this angle.” Phil said. “Then we can let you go.” You shot Jensen a warning glare, that if he fucked this up, you would absolutely kill him. He winked back, asshole. “Action!”

Jensen wrapped his hand around your neck and pulled you in for a kiss. This wasn’t a Dean kiss. This was very Jensen and you melted into it, wrapping your arms around his neck and moaning into it despite yourself.

“Cut! That was perfect!” You broke away first, stunned that he’d put that much into a stage kiss, only to find Jensen staring back at you with a smug, shit eating grin on his face.

“Good?” Jensen questioned, licking his bottom lip and wrapping his arm around your waist. Your head was spinning too much to answer with more than a nod. “Let’s go home and get to sleep.”

As soon as you got back to your shared apartment with Jensen you stripped out of your wet clothes and changed into a pair of his sweatpants and one of his t-shirts. You threw your hair up in a messy, damp bun, not bothering to shower, and collapsed into bed. Jensen followed not far behind, chuckling when he noticed you were already dead to the world when your head hit the pillow.

The next morning you woke up to an empty bed, and a completely empty apartment. Jensen’s call time was earlier than yours, but traditionally you’d go to set with him. He let you sleep in today, bless him.

Once you were showered and pulled yourself together, you arrived to set, still haggard from the night before. “There she is.” Jensen approached, a soft smile on his face, and pressed a kiss to your lips. “Got you a coffee.” He extended his hand to give it to you but you stopped him and pulled him back, glaring up at him. “What?”

You didn’t say a word, kissing him again, lingering longer this time. “I knew it!” You yelled, shoving him backwards. “Your lips! They taste like pumpkin spice latte!”

“I accidentally took a drink out of your cup instead of mine.” Jensen shrugged as you took your cup from him.

“Then you didn’t fuck up those kissing scenes last night on purpose to taste the pumpkin spice on my lips?” You looked up at him, raising your eyebrow quizzically.

“What?” He burst into laughter, shaking his head, but he was nervous. You’d caught him. “No. I wouldn’t – Y/N that makes no sense!”

“Let me have a sip of your coffee then.” You reached out, trying to take his cup away and he held it above his head, just out of your reach. “Jensen!” You warned. “Let me have a sip if it’s just coffee!”

Before you knew what was happening, Jared ran by, snatching Jensen’s cup from his hand and handing it to you. You took a sip, confirming your suspicions immediately. “I fucking knew it, Ackles!” Jared’s laughter could be heard from the other side of the room, where he’d run to avoid Jensen’s wrath. “You kept me out in the cold rain last night for hours just to keep kissing me because you liked the way pumpkin spice tasted!”

“Ok. Alright.” Jensen put his hands up in surrender; reaching out and taking his latte back from you. “I did keep you out all night, because I liked the way that latte tasted and I didn’t wanna stop kissing you. I admit it.”

You held in the giggle that threatened to spill from your lips and looked up at Jensen through your lashes, pursing your lips in thought. “How’re you gonna make it up to me?”

“I can think of a few ways.” Jensen murmured, pulling you into his warm body and nuzzling into your hair. “Already got you your own latte this morning. I can still get you a pumpkin roll and some pumpkin pie…”

“I like it.” You nodded against his chest. “Pumpkin kisses too?”

“I’ll grab a bag.” Jensen chuckled.

“I like mine homemade.” You giggled and pulled him down to you, pressing a kiss to his lips.

“So cheesy.” He murmured against your lips. “I love you.”

“I know.” You winked and turned away, sauntering off to hair and makeup.

Jared approached, putting an arm around Jensen as they both watched you leave. “You’re really falling hard for her, huh?” Jared laughed, watching Jensen’s expression as he watched you.

“Yeah.” Jensen nodded and swallowed, never looking back at Jared. “I’m gonna marry her.”

Another Cold December Night

This drabble can be read as a stand alone just like all the others, but it is also a sequel to this one shot I wrote last christmas: Cold December Night

12 Days of Christmas MASTERLIST

It had taken Jared and Jensen close to three hours to get the entire small trailer park of the Supernatural set covered in Christmas Lights. Well to be honest it had taken them under an hour to get all the lights hung, but double that to find the damn lose light bulb that prevented everything from lighting up.

Now they stood standing back admiring their handywork, just as Jensen’s phone alerted him of a text, causing Jared to shift nervously on his feet.

“Dani just picked her up. They are heading here now,” Jensen smiled, up at his friend, stuffing the phone back into his pocket before letting out a sigh. Jensen read Jared like a book. He knew Jared was having second thoughts and they were caused by fear of rejection, not lack of love for Jensen’s little sister.

“Dude come on. Stop that,” Jensen scolded, “she’ll love this and she is crazy about you. Still haven’t figured out why though.” Jensen teased, making Jared throw him a bitchface.

“Shut up, Jackles,” Jared huffed before staring back at the lights. “It’s not exactly the VanDusen,” Jared mumbled and Jensen gave his shoulder a slap.

“So fucking what? It looks cool and your anniversary. She’s gonna love it,” Jensen insisted, “trust me. I know my sister. Now go hide,” Jensen shooed the big guy behind one of the trailers when he heard Danneel’s car pull up.

She parked behind the hair and makeup trailer, just like Jensen instructed. It was huge enough it would block them from seeing the lights too soon. Jensen walked in between the trailers smiling when he saw the two women he loved most in the world walking towards him.

“Jay!” Y/N cheered, running towards him and throwing her arms around his neck hugging him tightly. “Dee said you were still working,” she scolded playfully as she released him making Jensen laugh. He pulled Danneel to his side, kissing her sweetly before answering his sister.

“We were. We wrapped up a few minutes ago. Jared is still in makeup. He needs a lot more of that stuff to look pretty than I do,” Jensen grinned throwing Danneel a wink. He laughed when her hand landed against his chest and Y/N scolded him.

“You’re such a dick!” Y/N laughed, but Jensen just pulled a face at her before ushering her towards the trailer park.

“Go on I promised him I would sent you his way,” Jensen halfway told the truth as he followed behind her, with Danneel still tugged closely against his side.

Jensen and Danneel both smiled, stopping a few feet behind her when Y/N saw the Christmas Lights with Jared standing in the middle of the open space. Jensen watched noticing the awed happy look on his sister’s face and the nervous smile on Jared’s as he fell to one knee as she reached him.

Jensen grinned, giving Danneel a squeezed when her hands flew to cover her mouth just in time with Y/N. Jensen had been dating Danneel for a little under a year but in that short time she and Y/N had grown incredibly close. Neither of them had a sister, but they seemed to have found one in each other, which only made Jensen adore the woman by his side even more.

Danneel and Jensen were just out of earshot, but they didn’t need to know what Jared was saying, to know she had said yes, when she threw himself at him sending them both tumbling to the ground. Jensen’s stuffed two fingers in his mouth whistling as he and Danneel clapped and cheered. From the first few weeks of shooting the show Jared had been like a brother to Jensen and now he was officially family, which couldn’t make Jensen happier.

Reader’s POV

After we left Starbucks, I was grinning from ear to ear. I still can’t believe we ran into Jensen and Jared, I mean how fucking cool is that? In all honesty, truth be told, I was overly excited, that I even had a skip in my step as I walked. Haven’t done that since I was a kid, it was awesome. Meeting them was unexpected and a once in a lifetime opportunity right there. I barely heard Ari tell me to calm down. Quit acting like a kid. I mean fuck what did she want me to do? Not get excited at all? Um I don't think that's an option for me right now.

One, I’m hyped up on sugar and marshmallows, and two, I just met Jensen fucking Ackles. So how am I supposed to calm down after that? Nope no way, not gonna happen, I can literally die happy now. Besides, she was fawning all over Jared, so what’s the big deal? I can’t help how hyped up I get when I’ve had too much sugar, she knows this so I don't really understand what's the problem is with her.

I know some fans get lucky enough at some conventions who get to see them out in the normal world. But me, this just doesn’t happen. I'm never usually that lucky to have anything good or even amazing happen to me. I’m still reeling it in, trying to remember their cologne, their conversation, hell everything. The way Jensen smiled, and laughed as his nose crinkled in that adorable way. Yep he’s fucking adorable all right.

“What’s wrong Ari? You’re acting like you're upset at something. Was it something I did?” I asked her as we walked into the hotel lobby.

“No it wasn't you and I’m not upset Y/N,” she paused a bit and when she does that, I know she's hiding something from me. “It’s just so overwhelming. I can’t believe we just met Jared and Jensen, total dream come true for sure.” She pushed the button for the elevator, then turned her back to lean against the wall as we waited for it. She wouldn't even look at me.

I studied her body language, I gotten used to her over the years I've know her and could read her like a book, “I know, me to.” I played along with her game, “It was totally awesome, this weekend is going to be the best. But If there was anything wrong, you’d tell me right?” The elevator ding and the doors open, we got on and she pushed the button to our floor.

She smiled at me reassuringly, “Y/N, I’m ok honestly. Do you want to order in, or go out before we register for our tickets?’

“We have to register?” I asked her as we got off the elevator.

“Yeah, it’s from 8:00 to 9:00 pm for Gold members, I figured we can go eat first, then register and get our passes, then come back to our room and strategize our plans for tomorrow.” She opened the door to our hotel room, threw her purse on the desk by the door, grabbed a bottled water from the fridge we had bought previously, then went to sit on the couch.

“Yeah, sounds goods to me. I'll just go shower and change.” I took my scarf and jacket off then laid them on the bed before gathering comfortable clothes for a shower. I poked my head out of the bathroom for a moment and watched Aeryn a bit longer and saw that something was bothering her, the way she sat slumped on the couch looking down at her phone. I decided not to push it because when she gets this way, she will close down on me if I keep at it. I'll talk to her when the time is right and see what's going on then, but for now shower.

Ari’s POV

Meeting Jared and Jensen was purely awesome to say the least, it was magical and unexpected. The way they talked to us, paid attention to us, and even spared a few minutes telling us whatever was on there minds. It was definitely a dream come true for the both of us. I’m not upset at Y/N and I know she senses something is wrong, to tell you the truth there is something wrong and I don’t want her to know what I heard or saw. I’m pissed as hell about it and ready to knock someone’s teeth out. It’s all over twitter which I’m thankful Y/N doesn’t have, she had told me time and time again it was just something to waste time on. She’s right of course, but I have it and now I see things on there that she doesn’t and I don't really want to see either. I mean I thought we are supposed to be family, not judge others just because of their weight. Family, true family don’t do that. I know once she see’s it, it’ll break her. I know what it's going to do to her.

Apparently, someone at Starbucks recorded our little dance we do every time we hear Carry On My Wayward Son, posted it on twitter and made nasty comments about Y/N. She’s a good person, sweetheart of a friend, and to me a sister I never had. I only asked her to stop acting like a kid because of what I saw, I didn’t want to add fuel to the fire I mean they already had an advantage on her, why make it worse? I didn’t want her to think it was anything else, so i just changed my attitude. I can’t believe how cruel people can be, yeah Y/N’s a little overweight but she eats healthy and has done everything she can to lose the weight. That part no one sees but me. I know the struggles she faces everyday, some times to the point where she breaks down at night and cries herself to sleep. When she’s feeling she can’t handle it anymore, she’ll refuses to eat anything for a few days when she is so down that it hurts me as well as her to see her like that.

Her life has been a horror show growing up, because of her abusive father which is her story to tell. That’s why I wanted to give her a weekend full of fun memories instead of the crap people give her every day, not only here but she gets it at work to. Patients complain about her attitude and the way she looks. She’s the most caring person in the world and our boss knows this, however some people can be such dicks. But for her to even get crap here when no one knows her, it upsets me and makes me angry they could talk about her like that. Especially when all I want to do is give her a birthday she’ll never forget. I know when she finds out it will hurt her and cause her to feel depressed and I know I will have to support as I always try to do as I try to help her through it all.

That’s why I got to do my damnedest to make sure she has an amazing experience. Seeing Jensen and the cast do their panels and singing and most of all have fun. Hopefully, if things work out great like I think they will, she will have the best birthday ever. I may hide some things from her sometimes so she doesn't get hurt, but this time I think it’s going to work out where she will have the best convention experience ever as I have a few surprises up my sleeve this weekend.

Readers POV

After my shower, I changed into some jeans and my supernatural t-shirt Ari bought me that said, Run fast like Dean Winchester saw you crash the Impala. Course, I’d never do that to Baby. I love her just as much as Dean does I think. Well if that’s even possible, but Ari got me the shirt saying it would be awesome. Why not? Right? I giggle at myself in the full length mirror thinking what Dean would say if he saw this shirt, can you imagine his face. I put on a fresh coat of makeup and touched up my hair a bit, then added some perfume. I only use a certain kind, since I’m allergic to most of them as I get a terrible headache. Anyway, I walk out of my room to see Ari waiting for me as she had fallen asleep on the couch clutching her phone to her chest, now I know something is up.

I gently tap her on the shoulder, “Ari, I’m ready,” she jumps kicking the back of the couch and dropping her phone. Which she immediately picks up, almost nervously like she done something wrong, or knows something I don’t.

“Are you ok?” I asked her with caution.

“Um, yeah, I’m good. Just fell asleep watching something while I waited for you, did you have to take a cold shower after your Jensen run in?” She nudged my elbow as we walked to the door.

“Ha, funny Ari. No I didn’t, but it didn’t stop me thinking of him,” I walked out towards the elevator with a huge grin on my face.

“Well, hopefully we will see him again at SNS tomorrow night.”

“Yeah, that would be amazing.”

We walk into the elevator as it makes its way to the ground floor. We get off and head to the restaurant close by. It’s nice and smelt so good when we walked in the front door. Oh my god, my mouth watered as we walked by some people on our way to our table. The food here it looks very tempting, but I have to stick to my diet. Just because I’m on vacation, doesn’t mean the body is. As you can tell, I’m very cautious of my weight. I have tried several diets in the past, none worked. I wonder if there is a miracle pill that will help me lose at least 40 more pounds, one can dream. I envy Ari, she’s at the perfect weight. Beautiful, sweet, and amazing person. She can eat anything in the world and not gain a pound.

We get to our table, our waiter asked us what we want to drink. She orders a Coke and I am so tempted to get a Dr.Pepper, but I’ll stick to water. “So, what’s on the at the convention tomorrow? Who's going to be first?” I took a sip.

“Hmm, Gil McKinney and Alaina Huffman’s Q & A is first, they come on stage at 12 to 12:45 pm after Rich, Rob and Louden Swain does their opening ceremony.” She heard her cell phone notifications go off, what surprised me was she ignored it.

“You’re not going to answer your notifications or even look at it?” I looked at her curiously.

She jabbed a french fry in a pool of ketchup. “No, it’s nothing important. So, what are you going to buy at the vendor's room tomorrow?” She continued to eat the fries as she changed the subject.

For her to ignore a notification like that, something is up. But I’m going to ignore this as I know she will tell me in time what’s bothering her. “I don’t know, I need some more shirts for sure. Maybe some Jensen items, I was also hoping to decorate the house all in Supernatural. What do you think?” I took a bite of my chicken salad.

She raised her head, “Oh that would be awesome, I think we can make that work.”

We finished our dinner and she insisted on paying, telling me that this is my birthday dinner. We do this every year, when it’s hers I pay so no arguing there. We get back to the hotel and the lines were already starting to form and we decided to join them. Since we had a few minutes, we made ourselves comfortable on the floor just like everyone else did. We have this app on our phones that lets us watch tv anywhere. Which was pretty cool, especially with Supernatural being on tonight. So,I,took out my phone and opened it up, then we sat back to watch it. I so love that we get the luxury of watching it anywhere we wish too.

Finally, and lucky for us, Supernatural was over which was a damn good episode. I cried literally, I hate when Dean gets hurt or even the tiniest scratch on him. Breaks my heart and I tear up, Ari thinks it's funny but I call that true love and a devoted fan of Dean Winchester. What can I say? He’s fucking awesome.

Eventually, we finally get to the head of the line, Ari shows the man the printout of the tickets we are suppose to register for. He then typed our names into the computer so we could get our badges and wristbands at the next table. It didn’t really take long to go through the registration process, I thought it was cool how they scan your PDF tickets with a cellphone. It’s amazing what technology can do these days. When we finished with the registration stuff, we went outside to take a walk near the jetty. Ari looked up at the sky as if she was deep in thought.

I was watching her face as I wanted to ask but she spoke first, “hey look at that Y/N?” She pointed upwards.

It was a falling star and I closed my eyes quickly to make a wish. Course mine is the same as always, to have Jensen fall in love with me. I shrugged my shoulders with a small smile on my lips. I know that’s a crazy idea, there is no fucking way in hell Jensen would fall in love with an overweight girl like me. But oh if he did, he would be taken care of and never feel empty of anything. Just then my stomach growled and I looked at Ari with a laugh.

She looked at me, “I take it that salad didn’t last long huh?” She asked me.

“Yeah maybe I should’ve gotten something more filling.” as it growled again.

“Ok, how about we compromise. We go get a veggie burger before we go upstairs, and then we’ll play trivial pursuit Supernatural style?”

“Sounds good,” I agreed as we walk to the burger joint that we passed earlier.

We entered the burger joint and the smell was incredible it smelt like bacon and onions. Can we cue an entrance for Dean Winchester right about now? I laughed at my own thoughts as we were lead to our table. The atmosphere was nice, lights turned down a bit to give a soft glow. Classic rock music played in the background and I was enjoying maybe a little too much when the waitress came over to us.

‘Hi, I’m Maggie, what can I get you?” she had her pen and pad ready.

Ari took the lead before I could open my mouth, “we will both have a veggie burger, she will have a dr. pepper and I will have a coke please.” She looked at me like uh huh I got you this time kind of look.

She smiled then left to turn our orders in. “Ari, you know I am on a diet and don’t need to be drinking any soda right now.”

“You're also on vacation Y/N, you can enjoy it, it’s your birthday weekend.”

I rolled my eyes, “Fine, just one won’t hurt.”

A couple of tables down behind us, some girls were there. I couldn’t really see what they were doing or giggling so hard about, but Ari saw and I thought she was going to go tear some heads off. Our order came thankfully at the right time, the more I watched Ari the more I could tell she was pissed off at something. I turned my head to face them and they just waved as if nothing was wrong. But once I turned my back, the giggling started again.

Ari stood up from her chair and threw the napkin she had in her hand roughly on the table. “That’s it,” she starts to go over to them, but I grabbed her wrist and told her to sit down. “What?” She asked with a harsh tone.

“Leave it, whatever there issues is with us, it can wait. I’m here to have a great weekend, spend time with my best friend and explore Vancouver with her. Not in some jail cell because she punched someone, so chill out.” I can’t believe I was that hard on her, but at that moment I didn’t care. I don’t care about what other people do, I only care about having fun.

Ari’s POV

The waitress came to refill our drinks and Y/N told her no, that one was enough. Water will do for now, she agreed and filled her glass then left us be. Once I took a bite of my burger, my eyes looked over at the girls who were whispering something. I knew it was about Y/N, every fiber in my being wanted to go over there and punch them. But I’m going to be good, I won't stoop to their level and let them win. That’s one thing I learned about bullies, is that they want you to fight back and lose so they know your weaknesses for next time.

I squinted my eyes at them telling them that I’m going to kick their asses if they didn’t stop, then one of them whispered something to the other as she shows her something on her phone. The laughing ensued and I can tell Y/N was wondering what was going on, but I also knew it was time to tell her. But how and when is the question at the moment. I bit my bottom lip so hard at the thought of what I had to do, which shouldn’t have happen to begin with. People just don’t understand that overweight people like Y/N are beautiful and sweet on the inside and out. I mean honestly she’s really not overweight, her height takes up most of it. It just irks me that people think they can hurt someone they don’t even know.

I look over at Y/N, “Y/N are you alright?” I asked.

“Yeah, just thinking about our day tomorrow. It’s going to be so much fun, I literally can’t wait.” Right at that time, her face lit up. All the crap that happened before was completely forgotten about, thankfully.

“It's going to be the best day ever, I’m going to make sure you have the best birthday weekend.”

“Hey you deserve to have a great weekend to Ari, you work just as hard as I do so you need to have fun to. Don’t concentrate on me too much that you don’t have fun to ok?”

See, there she goes. Always thinking of others before herself, this is what those bitches don’t see. “Yes but I wanted you to know how much I love you Y/N and that your the best sister a girl could ever have.”

“ Hey, you are my sister too. We stick together and support each other like we always do.”

“Let’s say we go to our room, play a couple of games then head to bed. It’s going to be a very long day tomorrow. And from what I hear from other con goers, it’s a long day of doing lots of different things and being on our feet.”

The girls were still giggling and one cleared her throat as if she was about to say something but changed her mind, I gave her a death glare she changed her attitude real quick. But gave me a smirk instead I wanted to slap it off her pretty over makeup face of hers.

Reader’s POV

We finished our burgers, course Ari paid again. I told her plenty of times not to do that, but do you think she listens to me? Nope she doesn't. I am not sure what’s going on with those girls and why they are so hell bent on laughing at us, but I’m determined to find out. Once I do, I will get what information they have and it will be fixed. Somehow.

Walking towards the door, I turned to look at them one last time. I saw them still laughing so hard, at what I dunno. I wasn't sure but I thought I saw one of them videoing us as we walked out. Nah it must be my mind playing tricks on me. Why would they want to video us we are not that important. I shrugged it off as we walked back to the hotel. Ari’s phone ping again with a notification, as usual she ignored it as we headed for the elevator up to our room.

“You know, I need to know what’s going on with you. You know I’ll find out sooner or later. So might as well tell me.” I stood there with my hands on my hips looking at her.

I heard her sigh, “Fine.” She opened her cellphone and showed me what people were laughing about. “I wanted to hide it from you, because you don’t need this.’

I felt my blood begin to boil as my body got hot, I then started to pace in the living room area of the hotel. I was hot, no I was pissed. Now I know why those girls were laughing, how can people be so cruel? I sighed, maybe I shouldn’t be here. Maybe they are right, I don’t hold a spot in Jensen’s life and he wouldn’t want me holding on his arms like the so called fat person I am. I look at Ari, “I’m going to bed, then tomorrow I am going to have the best time in my life. Come Monday we go home, end of story.”

She gets up to hug me, then I go to my room and she goes to hers. I cuddle with my pillow after I changed into my PJ’s, tears fall down my cheeks. From this day forward, I won’t do that stupid dance in front of anyone anymore. I’ll stick to my diet plan, and I’ll be happy when I see Jensen on Sunday. But that’s as far as it goes, for now. I reached over to my phone, pulled up my flight plan home, hit the cancel button to refund my money back to my card. I’ll talk to the hotel people and see if I can change my stay as well. No sense in staying in a place longer when you're not welcomed. I’ll just have to pretend to Ari all weekend that I’m ok, it’ll will work it has before she's didn't know how much pain I was in. Night Jensen I said to myself as I fell asleep dreaming of my meeting with him earlier. His beautiful face danced behind my eyes as he smiles at me. I couldn’t help but fall asleep smiling.
