My MCYT fanfic worldbuilding!
Both for anyone who's interested in how I imagine the minecraft sphere so to speak works and for linking to my ao3 page, here is my MCYT worldbuilding! Long post ahead! This gets updated regularly as well.

Tumblr media
Gods and other beings
Jeb and Notch are the Elder Gods. They created the other gods and the prime players. These days they have disappeared, and nobody seems to know where they are.
Kristin is the goddess of Death, and she’s not a fan of the Watchers. Phil is an ex Watcher, but defected and joined Kristin. They fell in love.
Most of Kristin's angels were originally mortals. On very rare occasions, when someone died in a certain way which really captures her attention she might decide to ask them to join her ranks. This is how Scott became an angel of hers. A few of her angels are kids of other angels.
The Watchers were at war with the Voidwalkers for a while. It ended when the Watchers massacred them. Xisuma and EX are considered to be the only survivors. Hoping something to End and Aether is generally a Voidwalker expression, though older immortals have been known to sometimes adopt it as well.
Techno used to be a mortal who was very good at PVP, so an evil god forcefully ascended him to be a demigod and made him work for him. Techno at one point killed him (probably temporarily, though that god hasn’t been nearly as influential since) and became a demigod in his own right.
Prime players were the first players created by the Elder Gods. It’s unknown how many there are, since they tend to stay in hiding. What sets prime players apart from normal players is that respawns have no effect on their souls and that they don’t age. Meaning they are functionally immortal. There are ways to kill them, but no normal mortal could get them to stay down so to speak.
Players can become admins through training. Not everybody has the natural aptitudes to become an admin. Everyone can access the code of the world if they learn how to, but utilising it wrong can be the end of someone.
You can generally respawn infinitely, but it slowly eats away at your soul. And at some point you don’t respawn anymore. This is generally the same as dying of old age, but it’s not uncommon for very heavy pvp players to die younger because their soul is ruined by continuous respawns.
On ascensions
Any god can ascend a mortal to become a demigod. But it's a violent act and will usually completely kill off the world the former mortal was inhabiting. And it hurts. A lot. The combination of these factors is what made Eret's ascension so bad. Because usually the newly ascended demigod will wake up with their god. But Eret didn't. They woke up alone in a dead realm.
Cults can try to get a gods attention to get them to ascend one of their own to demigod status. Really, no good gods will respond to these rituals. They usually involve mass sacrifice.
Gods can also just choose to ascend a living mortal, but again, this is not often done and when it is, usually only by evil gods. That's what happened to Techno.
Kristin works in a different way. When mortals die she sometimes (very rarely) offers them to become one of her angels. Her angels are demigods, but due to being in her service they are referred to as angels.
Demons are demigods aligned to Kristin's undefined evil counterpart.
Worlds
Worlds are generally connected to hubworlds. Travelling to other worlds usually happens through these. Hubworlds can vary from simple planes with rows and rows of portals to massive cities where people live, interspersed with portals. It’s not uncommon for kids to get dumped on hubworlds to fend for themselves. They often end up banding together, since hubworlds are pretty often fairly hostile places to live in due to the lack of admin oversight. Kids like this are generally called children of the hub.
Besides travelling through official portals there are ways to jump to other worlds. This is why you can protect your worlds with whitelists. They take the form of physical barriers in the code surrounding worlds. Think of it like a satellite defence system around a planet. Worldhoppers are players who make a habit of jumping from world to world without portals. Often these are players who grew up in the hub and learned admin magic through other people. They basically break into other worlds and thus aren’t always seen as the best people. Most worldhoppers are friendly though. Hubkids often end up worldhopping, at least during their teenage years until they find a place to settle down or until a mistake tears their soul apart.
Sometimes worlds connect themselves to each other through rifts. Nobody knows how these occur, and they can’t really be controlled. Maybe gods could control them, but nobody below them.
There is something called being worldlocked. Its generally something the Watchers do to worlds as a punishment. It involves messing with the code of the world and all the people on it. Leaving them unable to leave the world and unable to contact anyone outside of it. A lot of locked worlds eventually devolve into chaos due to the isolation, with people turning on each other.
Improper coding of a world can lead to the world getting corrupted. What happens to corrupted worlds varies, but generally they completely destroy themselves and everyone on it. EVO got corrupted, less due to Grian making mistakes but more due to being an experimental world surrounded by experimental worlds that were corrupted. The Watchers helped the process along as a punishment for Grian.
Hardcore worlds are worlds that lock you out when you die. You simply can’t enter them anymore, only view them through your communicator. Dying in them is also way harder on your soul, so players are weary of playing in them too much.
On exorcising players.
Sometimes players can get overtaken by things. Vexes are the most common, though there are other things. Glitched “networks”, like mycelium or more recently, sculk.
Zooming in more on the Vex. The Vex aren't fully sentient like players or more-than-players are. But they aren’t quite mobs either. They exist in a space between categories, but have a strong desire to achieve… more. The way they try to achieve this is by trying to possess vulnerable players. They don’t often succeed, but when they do they will try to take over servers and hubworlds. They kind of function like a computer virus. Overtaking a player and ‘overlapping’ their code with their own Vex code manipulation.
Sculk and Mycelium work a little differently. They are more so connected through a hivemind. A sculk block is the same as a warden is the same as a shrieker is the- you get the point. The sculk is not an individual block. And it has one goal. To spread. To overtake more of a world. To overtake more players. Similar to Vex it will latch on to a player and ‘overlap’ their code with its own.
Exorcising players from any type of possession is possible, but a nasty process. First of all it requires someone with at powers at least akin to a voidwalker or a prime player. Then they basically have to tear the Vex, sculk or mycelium from the player line by line. Piece by piece. And it hurts. Especially when the player regains enough awareness to recognise that they are being hurt by someone they know, but not why or how. Removing sculk can leave scars akin to burn scars.
Characters backstories (incomplete)
Hermits
Grian: Parrot hybrid. Was a child of the hub at some point with Jimmy, he met Mumbo during this time. Created EVO and was spotted and taken by the Watchers. Escaped them after give or take two years and broke into Hermitcraft during his escape.
Scar: Human-ish. Was fully human until he got possessed by vexes together with Cub. He had to be exorcised by Xisuma. While the vex are now gone he still has powers related to their possession. The downside is that he’s still haunted by hallucinations(?) of their possession. Disabled besides that and uses a cane on bad days.
Pearl: Moth hybrid. Grew up together with Grian and later Jimmy. She can’t really remember her early childhood, but her defining moment was Grian’s disappearance and later the corruption of EVO. Right around the time Grian escaped the Watchers she was taken and turned into one. Later she ran into Grian again on Hermitcraft.
Gem: A young admin who ran small building worlds. She met Pearl through a building competition she was hosting. Gave Pearl shelter after EVO fell.
False: Child of the hub. Was one of the youngest leaders of the group she was in until she gave herself up to a Hypixel manager to rescue one of the younger kids when she was 12. Fought there until she was 17 and Techno and Phil gave her a chance to escape.
Etho: Grew up on an anarchy server akin to 2B2T where he’d attack people with his redstone. Got possessed by corrupted mycelium at one point which left it’s scars on him mentally.
Joe: Prime player. He’s very old (being a prime player makes him immune to dying of old age). Can’t remember where he grew up but he travelled around from server to server until he found Cleo. Then he travelled with her until they joined Hermitcraft. Gets nauseous when travelling though portals.
Cleo: Originally human. From a big city server that fell to a corrupted virus. It turned the server into a zombie apocalypse. She barely escaped with her life and ran into Joe. She later returned to her server after a family member contacted her, but was infected herself. Joe saved her life.
Xisuma and EX: Voidwalkers. Grew up in the end. EX is the older brother but was always treated as evil due to a misinterpreted prophecy. Which became a self-fulfilling one. The entire population of Voidwalkers was attacked by the Watchers, who’d they’d been at war with. Xisuma and EX were the presumed only survivors.
Tango: Blaze hybrid. From the nether, was taken to a lab which he later escaped from together with Doc.
Iskall: Former human, now a human with cybernetic parts. Was in an accident which, due to fucked up respawn mechanics on his homeworld, left him needing the cybernetic parts.
Doc: creeper/human/cyborg hybrid. Created in a lab. Escaped from the lab together with Tango.
Emperors/related to them
Jimmy: Canary hybrid. Child of the hub. Watched EVO get destroyed and barely escaped with his life.
Martyn: Human, was on EVO with the other EVO people and got separated from them during the escape. His shoulder has never quite been the same since he had to reset it himself.
Scott: An Angel of Death. Under the command of Philza and in turn, under the goddess of death. Which means he worked together with Eret, Foolish and Techno.
Oli: Human who dropped out of admin school.
Fwhip: Human admin.
Pixel: Prime player.
Owen: Human(?) worldhopper. Child of the hub who at one point met Eloise and Bek. They travel together. He has admin powers (like all worldhoppers) but never trained officially. Gets nauseous when travelling though portals which also applies to worldhopping.
Bekyamon: Human worldhopper.
Eloise: Human worldhopper.
DSMP/QSMP
Philza: Angel of death, Kristin's husband. Used to be a watcher (it's unknown wether he was a player before this), but defected and joined Kristin. They slowly fell in love after his he joined her. Says he was born mortal as a cover story (may partially be true)
Technoblade: Blood God. Demigod who used to be a mortal until he was forecefully ascended by a higher evil god. Techno destroyed his vessel in revenge and the evil god hasn't been seen since. Works together with Phil and Kristin.
Eret: Demigod who used to be a mortal wither hybrid. Worked with Phil, Techno and Kristin and was/is platonic partners with Foolish. Gets nauseous when travelling though portals.
Foolish: Shark/totem hybrid demigod. It's unknown if he was born mortal or not.
Wilbur: Kristin's and Phil's mortal son. We all know how his story ends.

Who's who in the Entity War Timeline?
Okay this will make not as much sense without the context of this post, which explains my headcanons for the general timeline for the Watchers/Listeners/Speakers (also this post for some names you might not reconise)
This post is a list of who is which entity and when they got turned or were created!
Under the cut because things get a bit long
(also @clockedtimes and @once-and-future-fandoms here's the second half!)
Watchers: Watchers have the color scheme of vibrant purple and black, which blends into the End Void they live in. To stumbled into their realm is quite hard, as it only happens when you glitch through the End Void and fall for what seems to be hours. They mostly live in a sprawling city in purple/black/white/pink colors, with some old plants and trees native to the End! True/Natural Watchers have wings that are bright purple at the top, which fades into pastel purple, and they seem to admit a white glow between the feathers. Unnatural Watchers have the same wings, but lack the white glow. Their wings are often feathery, but more draconic wings aren't unheard of!
Listeners: Listeners have a neon green and white color scheme, which is quite blinding on the eyes sometimes. They make their home far below the bedrock of the Overworld, and live in one central kingdom-type layout, which is mostly made out of green/white/off-white/gray blocks. There aren't as many plants as one would expect for the species from the Overworld, but various types of trees and other plants can be found. Listeners have bright green wings, some of which have a yellow tint. They seem to glow green, although they don't give off light. Their wings are pretty evenly split between feathered and draconic, although there are sometimes mutations that create different wings (the Watchers have the same chance of mutations).
Speakers: Speakers have a bold orange and gray color scheme, and the shade of gray is decided on how much of a Watcher/Listener one was before joining! (darker gray = Watcher, lighter gray = Listener, middle ground = evenly split or wasn't a Watcher/Listener) The Speakers live in the Nether Void, below the lava pools at the bottom of the world. There isn't a city built currently, but there are plans that mimic the Watcher's city that are being considered. Speaker wings are bright orange and sometimes have sooty gray undertones, and there is a even chance for any type of wings!
Alright, with that out of the way, I'll list of who's which entity! I've sorted this based on grouping entities together, and included some characters that changed sides for some variety!

Magic Misfits AU
Ok so basically we made an au based off of the fact that Scar kept calling his village the village for magical misfits. Scar finds out that he somehow ended up on a server for magical misfits, and now he’s created a sort of safe haven within the server, so naturally they flock to it. Some hermits don’t surprise him, the ones that don’t really bother making an effort to hide their magic, or the ones who can’t hide it. But some hermits deeply confuse him. Chaos ensues.
TLDR Scar becomes a magical therapist for the hermits
Scar is a wizard, he doesn’t really specialize in anything besides his crystals, which is why he’s able to help with a variety of magical issues. He ends up becoming the one entrusted with everyone’s secrets and problems, which makes him Stressed, but he enjoys helping his friends.
Both Xisuma and Evil Xisuma are shapeshifters, with the ability to change their appearance, but not their size. X keeps his appearance hidden from the hermits, which of course inspires wild theories ranging from eldritch abomination to biblical angels, but X won’t reveal if any theories are true. The only ones that know are Hypno (explained later) and Scar. Scar found out when Xisuma showed up hurt at his doorstep, without enough energy to keep another form. Scar was sworn to secrecy afterwards, and he deeply enjoys listening to other hermits pester him for answers. X actually just looks startlingly average, to the point that he’s unwilling to reveal himself solely because people expect him to be something a little more intimidating, and especially now with the ridiculous rumours the hermits have started.
EX doesn’t hide his true form (which is identical to X’s), but of course the hermits don’t believe him, thinking that it’s just another disguise, and EX won’t confirm or deny because he thinks it makes them more afraid of him. (It doesn’t) He’ll also frequently try to impersonate hermits to destroy the server from the inside out, but he is a terrible actor (so is X) and rarely gets far in his plans.
Mumbo and Grian are fairies, but they’re originally from different communities (courts? I really don’t know much about fairies) so they don’t know the other is a fairy until Grian’s hermit challenges initiation. They can shrink into a smaller form that has wings, but it takes quite a bit of effort to switch between forms. (also fun fact: if mumbo is a fairy that means hermit challenges is a magically binding contract)
Iskall is just. Completely human. His prosthetic eye is powered by magic, (and maintained by Scar!) but other than that he’s just a dude. However, he has very strange things happen to him all the time because he’s befriended not one, but two fairies, and he hasn’t noticed either one. He finds that he often has abnormally good luck, and his lost objects will mysteriously turn up as soon as he complains to his best friends about it. He asks Scar if he knows anything, but Scar, not wanting to break Mumbo or Grian’s trust, has to play dumb while also helping Iskall with his ‘problem’.
Now this might come as a shock but. Ren is a werewolf. It may not be unique but it is fitting. One full moon near the beginning of season 7, Ren showed up at the village around sunset, and frantically insisted that Scar let him stay the night in an unoccupied house. So Scar let him stay, and the next morning Ren explained his Situation. So now Scar helps Ren be as comfortable as possible on the night of his transformation and the day after they just chill together.
Stress has her potion brewery, and she’s the first one on the list to fall into the category of Not Having Frequent Magical Emergencies; she just goes to the village to hang out because hey why not? It’s cozy, plus Scar helps her brainstorm potion recipes over cookies and hot chocolate. Scar comes to her often needing a potion (usually of the healing variety) because someone Fucked Up.
Tango is also human, but at some point he was cursed, and his vision started to literally turn red until it was all he could see. The curse was halted thanks to Zed and Impulse, but the red eyes still remain. (Though thankfully his vision returned) They aren’t sure what the curse would have done if it wasn’t stopped, and they’d be happy to never find out.
Zed is an elf, and while he does have a little bit of magic, it wasn’t enough to stop whatever was afflicting Tango, so he turned to more demonic methods. When Tango’s sight got really bad, he summoned a demon (Impulse) and offered his soul in exchange for a cure to the curse. Impulse did the best he could, restoring Tango’s vision but leaving the red eyes, and then left with his price. Zed’s health slowly started declining: he had basically no energy or life due to the separation from his soul. So Tango summoned Impulse back and asked for Zed’s soul back, but it couldn’t be returned without reversing the deal, and Zed wasn’t willing to do that. So Tango ‘asked’ Impulse to stay with them for a while so Tango could convince Zed to back out of the deal. It turns out that being near his soul (kept by Impulse) returned Zed’s energy, and Impulse decided he liked these two so they became a trio, and joined hermitcraft soon after.
Quite often 2 members of team ZIT will wake up Scar in the middle of the night because they accidentally did something to the missing member (banished Impulse, sent Tango to the shadow realm, etc.) and they don’t know what to do. Scar has a ZIT protocol. It’s used far too often. They also constantly try to figure out what the more human looking hermits are. They do not often succeed.
At night, Bdubs turns into a sleep paralysis demon looking creature, and he (unwillingly) curses people to sleep for a completely random amount of time. After an Incident with Wels in season 6, (that’s the reason for his ‘nap’) he makes sure to sleep as early as possible every night. He thankfully isn’t affected by this while in the End or Nether.
Alright lads here’s the angsty one. Beef has the midas touch, meaning everything he touches turns to gold. It works much slower on living creatures than on inanimate objects, but it still works on living things so that’s Not Good. He makes sure to wear special enchanted gloves that block his curse while wearing them. At some point he goes to Scar in a panic because he accidentally touched Etho with his bare hands, (Etho handles this surprisingly well) and Scar helps him fix Etho. (It’s minecraft rules. They just cut his arm off and it comes back.) After that they put a curse of binding enchantment on Beef’s gloves.
Cleo is still a zombie, and she sometimes gets Scar to help her with Zombie Problems when Joe isn’t available. The first time she showed up outside Larry with her (severed) arm held in one hand Scar nearly jumped out of his robes, but he’s pretty used to it by now and will just go inside to grab a needle and thread.
Joe certainly is something! Nobody is quite sure, even Scar. All Scar knows is that Joe knows way too much about everything, and yet he keeps asking Scar to help him translate Galactic. (Joe is secretly trying to teach Scar the language because he feels that it’s important for magic users to know, especially ones so versatile like Scar) Joe is some kind of oracle who receives visions of the past, present, and future, which is why he knows so much, and he’s also at least dabbled in almost every kind of magic there is. He’s a bit of a cryptid.
The local mad scientist is Cub, who does all sorts of weird experiments, and makes inventions that combine magic and technology in disturbing yet wonderful ways. He also got cursed by his pyramid, so now he has comically bad luck. It doesn’t usually cause any serious harm, just shenanigans. He of course embraces this and finds it funny as hell.
On top of Doc’s regular strangeness, (creeper hybrid, cyborg, goat whisperer?) he also for some reason attracts a frankly unreasonable amount of kitsunes. Nobody knows why, but he can be seen in the shopping district being trailed by no less than two foxes with varying amounts of tails. It’s really very cute, and the mystery of it infuriates the more investigative hermits. (Cub and team ZIT mostly)
Etho is a demigod, although nobody knows what god he’s descended from. (including Etho) He has the fun ability to grant others’ wishes, but because of his personality he chooses to twist these wishes and turn them into fun little pranks that technically give the person what they want, but not without annoying them first. He also doesn’t reveal this ability to the others, leaving them even more confused whenever he uses it, which isn’t often because it does drain him quite a bit.
False, being the badass she is, is a valkyrie. She towers over most of the hermits, and between her height, wings, and blazing sword she’s quite intimidating. Despite this, she’s still very sweet, and would never seriously hurt her friends on purpose, but enemies are a whole different story.
Hypno at first seems totally human, but he actually comes from a world full of magic, each person having their own individual ability. Hypno’s ability is to absorb/ cancel out magic, which means that no magic can affect him, and he can also choose to stop any magic by touching the target of the magic. This got him exiled from his world, but he found a new family in the hermits. Because he isn’t affected by magic, he can see through Xisuma’s disguise, but he just assumes that he sees the same thing as everyone else. He hangs out with Beef when he needs comfort because he knows Beef can’t accidentally hurt him.
Jevin is,, slime. Not a minecraft slime, he’s just a pile of sentient slime held together by magic. (Necromancy? probably) Hypno likes to mess with him by touching small parts of him and disrupting the magic so a chunk of his arm falls off. Scar then has to fix it, but it’s still funny.
Keralis has the power of hypnotizing people by looking into his eyes. (Nothing but his eyes) He of course uses this power for mischief, although nothing actually bad. Usually uses it to ‘convince’ people to buy a book or seven. He also sometimes does it on accident, in which case he drops them off at Scar’s until they snap out of it. Team ZIT keeps asking him to hypnotize X so he’ll reveal his true form, but Keralis doesn’t want to force him to reveal that, plus he finds their attempts at figuring it out entertaining.
XB is an unfortunately forgetful selkie, and most of his visits to Scar are because he lost his coat in one of his shulker boxes again. On one memorable occasion he arrived in a panic after losing his coat again, and Scar had to spend about 5 minutes trying to suppress his laughter enough to tell XB that it was on him.
TFC doesn’t have magical crises, much to Scar’s relief. He’s just a humble earthbender living in the mines, occasionally coming out to the village to ask Scar for a crystal to help his back pain, or to give the poor man an afternoon of peace. In fact, Scar turns the tables by asking TFC for magical help with terraforming, which he’s glad to offer in exchange for all that Scar does for everyone.
Wels is a bard, which makes his sea shanties even more powerful than they already are. When Hermitgang came out, a hole was blown in the G team base, much to the surprise of everyone inside at that moment. Hels is also a bard, but he prefers rock music over sea shanties. Diabolical was an actual magical duel, and it probably looked sick as hell.
Bonus: Jellie is secretly a powerful eldritch being, and is the only one with magic that can affect Hypno. It’s a good thing she’s interested in getting pets and treats rather than destroying the server, because she probably could. She casually hops between worlds whenever Scar isn’t around, going on delightful little adventures. Scar takes quite a while to figure this out, and loses his shit when he does. When she got struck by lightning, she just turned up totally fine the next day and Scar didn’t question it too much.
I’d like to thank the discord for helping with ideas, ya’ll are so creative and i appreciate you all <3 ( @skywillsometimeswrite @bigbadantianti @justletmeplayminecraft @badtimeswithscar @aceacebaby12345 @litabattoir @icewolfstar @burntmagicc @dicerxll @dioritegang @cut-the-string @anntonka @shadeswift99

Voided AU #024 - Start: Evil X
Voided AU. The one and only Evil Xisuma, as asked for by @ground1control2. Thanks to everyone who replied when I asked after his “canon” status. That really helped in setting this one up.
Because of that set up, he has the distinction of being the only Hermit character - by any definition - to be outside of the world when the crisis hits, and the one who opens this AU to the wider MCYT setting.
It’s been coming up on 2 years since Xisuma rather abruptly ejected his “evil” counterpart from his region of influence, banning him from the world in the process, and since then Ex has been a little bit of a nomad. He’s bounced around through various realms - some you might know and some you might not - going at his own pace and generally staying out of the way of any locals he encounters.
And over time, though largely unchanged in his overall outlook on things, he’s developed and altered his intentions and opinions. From watching others from a distance, he’s gained an unexpected appreciation for the work maintaining these worlds takes, and how much work Xisuma actually puts into it.
Don’t misunderstand, though. He still resents his “brother” heavily, in so many ways that are beyond what words can express. But that resentment no longer comes with the desire to destroy everything the Hermits - and especially X - have built, having seen that drive in so many others. At the very least, he wants to have a hard conversation with his “sibling” before he does anything, even if his current predicament makes that nigh impossible.
What else he wants to do aside from that is a... complicated question he doesn’t quite have an answer for just yet. Unfortunately for him, though, something comes along to force the matter.
Ex has all of the memories his “brother” has, due to their being one and the same once upon a time, as well as all the issues those memories imply. As such, he knows exactly what the Void feels like, and how it affected his/X’s physiology in the past.
And right now, he can feel a distant, muted echo of those exact same sensations leaking through to him via the vague connection he and X still share due to their technically being the same person.
Xisuma wouldn’t spend this long anywhere near the Void, as long as he could help it. This much Ex knows. For all the flaws he sees X as having, he’ll freely admit that the man is far too sensible for that. Which means that, in all likelihood, something very bad is happening to the Hermits right now.
Evil Xisuma wouldn’t wish what happened to him/X on anyone, not even his worst enemy, and if the Hermits end up being exposed for far longer than they were...
He needs to do something. Anything.
But he’s stuck.
Thanks to X’s banning him 2 years ago, he can’t create portals back into that world, or even try to see if anything’s changed. He needs to find someone who can, though, and quickly if at all possible.
He needs to alert them - beg and plead to convince them, despite his reputation, if he has to - to what’s going down in the Hermit’s corner of the multiverse.
Of all people, Evil Xisuma is the one who has to get help.
The humor, dark as it is, isn’t lost on him.

PART A/CHAPTER 3
[Word Count: 1056]
Description: Doc escapes.
A knock on the cell door awoke him.
The man woke up quickly, startled. His eyes meeting the evil counterpart of the Xisuma he knew.
The man outside of the cell fumbled through a big chain of keys, before finally finding the correct one and unlocked the door.
“Come quickly.” Evil Xisuma spoke and opened the metal door.
“How do I know you won’t just kill me?” He asked warily.
Sighing, “Trust me, I have no reason to. If you want to return to your friends, this is the chance.” Ex said, his voice smooth. “Plus, now that you know everything, it’s not like you know me as a person who would do that under my own mind.”
“...Right.” The creeper man responded, as he walked down the ghostly, empty hallway, he looked outside of the fenced windows. They didn’t provide with much scenery, it was all just lava and netherrack. A ghast’s cry is heard in the distance, it was really the only noise Doc had heard over the past few weeks aside from the lava popping. How does Ex deal with this shit?
His brows furrowed, noticing the sudden absence of the people who he came with. ¨Where is… the rest of the NHO? Why is it just me? He asked, finding that the rest of his crew nowhere to be seen.
“They moved on to other things, they aren’t going back to hermitcraft.” Ex simply said, without a hint of emotion, as if he has done it many times before. “It’s their decision, and I respect it, I wouldn’t want to be caught up in this whole inter-realm war if I was them. It’s rare for someone to want to go back even after listening to me.” The white-haired individual explained, his boots tapping the ground of the fortress, emitting an echoing sound. “Of course, I don’t have much of a choice. Hell, if my mom found out I was helping you guys escape? It would be all over for me.”
“And how do I know you are telling the truth and not just telling me a pity story so I can feel sorry for you?”
Ex lifted his helmet and tapped the right side of his face that was previously obscured by the helmet he wears. “This? Despite what Xisuma may have told you it being overexposure from killing pigmen or some other bullshit. Dear old mom gave it to me, I disobeyed one of her commands, and she let dozens of pigmen tear into me. It was quite a while ago, probably one of the only memories I have left.”
Doc took a closer look at the other’s face, and winced in the process, he had seen worst before, but this is definitely nearing that limit. His face was terribly scared, a deep shade of red replacing his original skin. His right eye was missing, and was replaced with a blaze eye replacement. “Yikes.”
“I know.” He chortled. The creeper recognized this as one of the traits that Ex had in common with his counterpart, the same short chuckle. “Though I can perfectly see through it, there is a reason I wear an eyepatch wherever I went in the Overworld, so I don’t look so hideous.”
The two men fell quiet, the rest of the walk within the fortress was wordless. There weren’t any words necessary to say, neither of them wants to be here. And the sooner that this is over with, the better.
“And here we are. You can return to your friends.” He sighed, and quickly continued. “.” He sighed in between. “This is the central nether portal, it should take you to wherever the hermits are now, they may have begun a new season without you. As long as Xisuma exists, this portal will take you directly to him.” Ex explained and stepped aside, motion Doc to walk into the portal. “Remember the deal.” He repeated the phrase that he had heard much too many times before and handed Doc a bag with all his belongings. “Be wary, remember that one day in here is a week in the Overworld, so they may ‘overreact’.”
The tall brunet walked into the portal and took the bag softly, and began to feel himself being transported back into the Overworld, he turned around to the supposedly Evil counterpart and looked at him.
   “Hey, Ex?”
Ex looks startled, but not surprised. “Yes?”
    “Do you really hate Xisuma?”
The other responded by first smiling sadly. “I can’t.”  It was all he heard the white-haired figure said.
Doc suddenly spawned into the world.
He expected a Nether portal or something, but he just simply appeared.
He pulled up his communicator, it was the day where they move on to season 6, the exact time.
He could hear voices around the corner, he recognized this place-- It was a large cavern, with overgrown vines and carefully placed blocks, one by one.
The creeper man was just in time for world hopping, and god, he hasn’t heard these voices in days. But it felt like he hasn’t heard anyone else’s voice in ages.
Doc stepped into the light of the pathway, breaking a stick. The sudden new noise other from the chattering alerted the other hermits of a new presence. They all turned around, some starts to tear up, not expecting for him to return after his disappearance, and some others immediately embraced him in a deep hug. He hugged back softly, and a blur of voices asked him where he has been, and if he was okay or not. The brunet’s eyes met with a certain purple helmeted person, and his eyes were dead focused on him, unmoving, and spoke his message even without speaking a single word:
   See me later.
The creeper’s eyes immediately narrowed, what happiness he had gained from this reunion was smothered. Ex’s “hatred” for X could have possibly rubbed off of him, but it just feels like neither side is telling the full story. Now that he had finally been made aware of it, there was always something of about how easily irritated Xisuma could become, and then immediately apologize after. Everyone had just gone along with it… Who knows, maybe the people from earlier seasons would know more…
In any case, it’s not like he could ask now.
