Ochako + relax and bakudeku + fashion for the ask game <3
im so sorry this took me so long to get to!!
ochako + relax
ochako is definitely one to get overstressed easily, so she has all kinds of tactics she uses to make herself relax
she loves her alone time, she really likes to put on some music and lie in bed doing face masks and watching her favorite show
she really loves self care. every once in a while she'll have a self care day where she takes a long bath, exfoliates, spend extra time on making her hair healthy and soft, and use like a bright pink bath bomb every time without fail and just fully relax
ochako also really likes to have karaoke night when she does her makeup and belts songs into her hairbrush
she also really loves stargazing and using her telescope, being outside and looking at space calms her down a lot
she also takes a lot of cat naps. like she's sleeping all the time
bkdk + fashion
these two cannot dress themselves. like at all. the difference is that deku literally is incapable of dressing himself and bakugou actually like purposefully dresses awful out of pure spite
deku dresses like a straight man. he does not try ever. basketball shorts and T shirts and sweats and sweatshirts and what i believe is the worst combination in the history of the world that i have seen before with my very own eyes, sweats, socks, and SLIDES
bakugou actually has a really great fashion sense, but he prefers to dress either loud and bold or all black and emo because either way isn't really seen as desirable or something people would praise him for, and i can definitely see bkg just wanting one way to a) piss off his fashion industry parents out of spite bc all they want is for him to dress himself all cute and b) so that he can have one thing to himself because i feel like he'd just want this one thing to be really out there so that poeple don't like constantly praise him
because i think there's definitely an extent to his praise tolerance, i think he'd really hate praise about something like clothes. he'd want the autonomy of dressing however he wants
bakugou also wears a lot of his dad's clothes. bc he loves him
deku unironically loves how bakugou dresses. he also really likes bakugou's clothes, for both the smell and how comfy they are. he's always walking around in one of bkgs skull shirts or aji fry shirts and his sweatpants and one of masaru's hawaiian shirts that kacchan stole from him that deku stole from kacchan
bkg can dress himself properly, and does when he has to for like formal events or he wants to make an effort. for his first date with deku he actually dressed well and deku almost fully nosebled right there at the ramen place. bkg was very smug about it
bkg teaches deku how to dress himself, which he soon regrets because deku looks even hotter when his clothes are stylish. he'll wear skinny jeans and a tight t-shirt and bkg is like fuck my life
one word hcs ask game!!

Like A Movie
Characters: almost all of Class 1-A. Almost.
AN: Hello! I decided to venture to BNHA/MHA because this has been on my mind for a bit as of late. And I have some ideas for more AOT in mind! :)
Tumblr media
You never expected that Bakugo Katsuki - aka that explosive hedgehog inside a human body - would ask you out on a date. Sure, you two had been on team building exercises together and survived several villain attacks with each other’s help, but there was also the rest of Class 1-A there. Yet, as you two spent more time together, you slowly began to admire him.
So, when Bakugo timidly asked you out, you were just as nervous. “U-uh, wait you’re asking me?”
Like a light switch, his mood changed to his common anger, “Yeah, you got a problem with it?”
“No!” You said, raising your hands slightly to show you weren’t upset by it. “I’m just taken aback by it.”
“Well, get used to it. I’m taking you to the amusement park since I’ve heard you’ve never been.” His eyes turned away, a clear sign of hiding something.
Your eyes widened as you took note of the subconscious mannerism. You’d only told... Kirishima. Gosh darn it, you’ll have to smack him later. But this also meant they had talked about you, which neautralized what could’ve been possible damage. “When will this be?”
“Tomorrow.” Then, class started soon after he said that, leaving you in a dazed state.
Since you all lived in the dorms, word spread fast. You were carrying out your Friday night ritual of self-care, when you heard a knock on the door. A face mask on your face, you had to withhold a sigh as you opened the door. Immediately, all the girls started swarming you with questions; they ranged anywhere from which amusement park; what you’d wear; if you wanted to kiss him on the first date. Overwhelmed, you became a blushing, flustered mess.
“Okay, okay. I think we’ve all overwhelmed Y/N enough,” Jirou muttered. You wanted to kiss her in that moment, but then remembered the last question. Once again, your face reddened.
“You’re right; we’re sorry, Y/N. But we’d love to help you get ready for your date!” Momo added, ever the voice of reason.
Mina jumped with a fist in the air, “Yeah! We want you to look as cute as possible to make that Bakugo blush!”
Through the face mask, you sputtered out. “Ah, thank you all. But that won’t be necessary since I already chose something to wear.”
Ochako’s face lit up, “Can you show us?”
You smiled with a nod. Opening your closet, you pulled out a short, white dress. It would look especially nice since your skin was beginning to tan and it’d compliment your hair.
After several nods and compliments, you felt much more confident for your date with Bakugo. Then, the morning came. Your skin was glowing, your hair was shining, and everything was amazing. Thank goodness. You slipped on your dress, some comfortable shoes, and gathered some money just in case.
~
To say you were nervous around Bakugo was an understatement. Some elderly woman, around Ochako’s height, complimented you two as being cute together. All you could do was stutter out some alien language. Beside you, Bakugo was blushing. Was it the sun or were you just hot from embarrassment? Did Bakugo even like your dress? Well, he blushed so that was a sure sign.
As you two entered the amusement park, there were shops for candy and food everywhere. Some rollercoasters and rides could be seen in the distance, with the water park in a separate space. “What do you want to do first, Bakugo?”
He smiled, “I want to get on some rides first. Have you ever ridden a rollercoaster?”
When you gave a slight shake of the head, Bakugo basically picked you up and ran towards a rollercoaster. It was called the Diamondback and it was the tallest one there. As you looked at where the top practically reached the sky, you gulped. Bakugo was excitedly looking at you, but you could only pray for your safety.
“Hey, you don’t need to be scared,” Bakugo reassuringly said. His usually fiery eyes were demure, soft, and concerned. “You’re one of the best students at UA; you’ll be able to make it out safe if anything happens.”
You gave a soft smile, happy to see a softer side to his rough edge. “Thank you, Bakugo.”
A blush rose to his face and then he laughed it off, “Plus you’ll be with me. So nothing bad will happen at all.”
Before you knew it, you were locked into the ride. The ride started slowly, and then took a fast, wild turn. You screamed and yelped, “Bakugo, hold my hand.”
His sweaty, caramel-smelling palm took yours instantly. He smiled as you screamed. When you reached the top, muttering “no, no, no” under your breath, he started laughing. Once the ride was over, Bakugo had to nudge you so you both could exit. Your legs were jittery and you were still shaking from the thrill.
“As much as I loved it, we don’t have to do more. I don’t know if you’ll be able to take it,” Bakugo challenged. You didn’t want to take the bait, since you were already wobbling as you walked and clutching your stomach.
But you took the bait. “No! We’re getting on the next one!”
“If you need to hold my hand again, I won’t mind,” he said, standing next to you as you held onto him to stay standing.
You blushed and whispered, “When did you get so flirty?”
After a few hours of rollercoaster riding, you should’ve stopped. Your body was no longer having fun but mentally, the excitement of the drop grew on you. No longer were you screaming in fear, but from enjoyment. No doubt, you still had that shaky feeling after getting off, but it was now seen in a different light.
You laughed, having conquered all the rides available. Bakugo smiled, his hand still in yours, just watching you beam. It was a few hours before they would have to return to the dorms - unless they wanted Mr. Aizawa to murder them - so they started walking back towards the entrance.
“Bakugo, I want to thank you for this,” you grinned ear to ear.
“Katsuki. You can call me, Katsuki. And of course, it’s about time.”
An initial look of surprise turned into a small smile, “Okay Katsuki, thank you again.”
The two of you were towards the entrance now when you eyed a cute stuffed (favorite animal). In fact, you slowed down to look at it. Katsuki, who had a quick pace, noticed. His eyes followed yours to where the stuffed animal was, hanging above a basketball game. “Do you want it?”
“O-oh, it’s fine. We need to get goi-“
“I’m getting it for you,” he declared and stepped towards the little game. The person in charge of the game provided Bakugo with three tries to get at least two through the hoops. If he could get three in, he could get the big stuffed toy you were eyeing.
With a confident “tch,” Katsuki threw the balls with ease. Each ball landed in perfect sequence one after the other. An impressed look reached the host’s face and he asked Katsuki which prize he wanted. The best student at UA pointed to the animal you wanted like he was simply going down the aisle of a grocery store. Aka, he acted like this happened easily and all the time.
A stranger screamed, “Whoa! So manly!”
Katsuki smirked from that comment. He lifted the big stuffed animal and offered it to you with pride. Eagerly, you took it in your arms and squeezed it with joy. You didn’t notice but while your face was buried in the softness of the toy, he smiled at how lucky he was.
The two were waiting at the train station, sitting side by side. “Thank you again for this, Katsuki. I loved it!”
Your happy face made him blush. He averted his eyes, “Tch, don’t mention it.”
“I mean it. It was like a movie,” you smiled, looking at his flustered form.
“Really?” He sounded unsure, like you’d make a fool out of him at any moment. But when you nodded, a small smile graced his face. “So do you mind if we end our date like one, too?”
Now you were red, “I-I mean, if you want to.”
He didn’t say anything, but responded by leaning in. His eyes were beginning to close and so were yours. You met each other’s lips and it was like his quirk was working on its own. It was explosive. Once you retracted, you heard a small gasp.
Looking around, you both saw the rest of your class in poorly dressed costumes. It was Mina who did it, as made evident by her wide eyes and hand over mouth. You facepalmed, embarrassed by being watched. Next to you, crackles of tiny explosions made themselves known.

Bingo Masterlist
The students of UA have finished their final exams and desperately needed a break. Some decided they would go back home and visit their parents, others wanted to go explore the rest of the world or just sit back in the dorms. This time was different.
Since his retirement, All Might has kept himself focused on class 1-A. This meant that he gave advice, and helped those who needed the inner strength to get better at their quirk. He noticed the tight bond between the students. It was obvious to spot since the League of Villains attacked the summer camp and kidnapped Bakugou. The dedication in each student’s heart was evident.
The summer breeze flowed throughout the area, carrying it’s hot wind throughout the dorm room you were currently in. The windows stayed open as the curtains covered the rays of the sunlight from seeping through. You let out a small whine and shifted in the arms of the person beside you. “Move you’re all sweaty!”
“Hah? And you aren’t? It’s not my fucking fault that it’s so fucking hot.”
“Least you could do is get a fan or something! You’re making us suffer but mostly me!”
Bakugou let out a noise of annoyance and sat up, running a hand through his blond hair, the muscles of his uncovered arms flexing unintentionally. He wore a red tank top that showed off his build and black basketball shorts. A simple outfit that made him look amazing.
A pleased hum fell from your lips as your hand slithered up his arm, squeezing the muscle of his bicep.
He glanced down at your hand. “What? What do you want?”
“You,” a sly grin tugged at your lips as you leaned up on your forearm, the strap of your tank top resting off of your shoulder.
“Is that so?” his voice lowered as he towered over you, his calloused hand resting on the supple flesh of your thigh, squeezing it gently.
You nodded and wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him in closer, his vermillion eyes boring into your own, “Uh-huh. It is”
His hand trailed up your thigh to the hemline of your shorts, tracing the fabric with the pad of his finger. “I think you’d look better with these off,” he whispered and captured your lips with his, pulling you flush to his chest.
Your hands weaved themselves into his hair, giving the locks a gentle tugged that caused a grunt to leave his throat.
“Hey guy- Woah!!”
A small gasp left your lips, Bakugou’s body tensing up at the voice “Ever heard of, oh I don’t know, knocking you idiot?!”
“Why didn’t you just lock the door?!” Kaminari’s voice choked out from his throat, his hand still gripping the doorknob.
“Because I thought people knew what privacy was!!”
“Pfft,” he brushed it off, hand letting go of the doorknob. “Whatever! Just hurry up! We’re going to be playing a game as a class! And All Might is supposed to be there as well!!”
At the name of the former number one hero, Bakugou looked over at him, his body still leaning over your own. “All Might?”
“Uh-huh! So hurry whatever this is!” he gestured to your bodies with his hand. “And we can start sooner!”
“Katsu get off!” You grunted and pushed at his chest, both of his hands planted on both sides of your head. “I wanna go see what it is!”
“What?! Woman you just said you wanted me now you’re gonna leave?!”
“Well yeah,” you said, looking up at him unamused. “So get off!”
He grumbled and got off of you, standing up from his bed. “Are you actually going to that? It’s probably not even going to be good. Just those damn nerds and that stupid game shit for brains said”
You rolled your eyes and fixed your tank top. “Yes I am. It’ll probably be something fun! So stop being a grumpy bitch and get yourself ready!”
“What did you say, shitty woman?!”
“I said what I said!”
“You’ll regret that!!”
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
All Might discussed with your class that you would be in the gym for today, without your hero costumes. Of course, you were all confused. The majority of the time when you needed to head to the gym, you needed to wear your hero costumes or your gym uniforms.
“Don’t you think it’s weird?” Momo started as she scratched her chin, in thought. “He ignored all of our questions. He never does that. Plus Mr. Aizawa seems..okay today.”
Tsuyu nodded in agreement, placing a finger on her chin. “I noticed that too. Maybe it’s a fun surprise?”
“Fun?!” Mina gasped in what sounded like horror. “What makes you think this is fun?! What if it’s punishment?! What if they have us read books and laugh at our torture?!”
“Uh...I think you’re going a bit too far Mina. Maybe it is actually something fun,” Ochako spoke up, hands swinging by her side. “Maybe we’ll play a sport!”
Jirou nodded, playing with the earphone of her lobe, clinking them together in boredom. “Don’t get so worked up over it. You’re always exaggerating”
“That's not true!! Y/N please back me up!” Mina whined, shaking you by your shoulders.
“Sorry Mina I have to agree with Jirou on this one”
“I thought you had my back!” She wailed.
“I mean I do!” you said quickly, waving your hands in front of you frantically. “Just not now!”
“Yeah Mina, you are drama queen,” Hagakure commented, messing with the hem of her shirt.
Before Mina could comment or strangle the invisible girl, All Might walked in with Aizawa, carrying a black bag in his hands.
“Good Morning class!”
Everyone quickly lined up, hands by their side. “Morning All Might!”
A booming laugh left his lips, placing his hands on his hips. “Who is ready to get this started?!”
“Maybe you should tell them before we get this started or whatever...I don’t care. Just don’t destroy the place,” Aizawa mumbled, running a hand through his locks.
“Yes of course!” All Might coughed into his hand and took out the object from the bag. It was a volleyball. “Today you guys will be bonding over a simple game of volleyball! And yes you can use your quirks! It’ll be a nice game of boys vs girls!”
“Quirk training?!” Deku gasped and clenched his fist tightly. “I’ll make sure to use this wisely then!”
“Seeing the girls run?! Girls girls girls..” Mineta trailed off, some drool dribbling out of his mouth.
“Ew man get it together. No one wants to see you like that,”  Sero waved him off, moving away from him.
“It is not nice to talk about our female classmates like that!” Iida interrupted Mineta’s daydream.
“I didn’t say anything! Honest!” He grinned, eyeing you from the side of his eye. “Oh man I can’t wait.”
“Can’t wait for what diaper baby?!” Bakugou yelled, grabbing him by the front of his shirt and lifting him off the ground. “I know you weren’t checking my girlfriend like that!!”
“Enough!” Aizawa’s voice boomed throughout the room, hair up as his red eyes focused on Bakugou and Mineta. “Unless you guys wanted me to teach all of you a lesson.”
Bakugou dropped Mineta on the floor, the smaller boy letting out a noise as he collided with the ground. Once the two got back in place, All Might cleared his throat.
“Like I was saying, you guys obviously have a deep bond! Why not make it deeper by a fun game!” He laughed and handed the ball to Iida. “I assume you all know how to play volleyball. Remember quirks are allowed but don’t kill each other either!”
“So it was something fun.” Tsuyu mumbled as she walked into position. “I haven’t played volleyball in awhile. But this will be fun nonetheless!”
“Huddle!” Mina yelled and pulled you guys into a tight circle. “You see those pests over there?”
“Uh, Mina we can hear you.”
“We’re gonna beat them!” She ignored Kirishima’s comment, placing her hand in the middle. “We’ll wipe the floor with them!”
You all cheered, placing your hands in the middle. “And since we all have some powerful quirks, it’ll be easy!”
Your quirk was called stretch. You were able to stretch your limbs as far as you wanted. The only downside is if you use your quirk too much you wouldn’t be able to use it for the rest of the day, your body on the verge of collapsing.
“As long as we just call for the ball we’ll do great!” You looked over your shoulder to find Katsuki staring at you, a small smirk on his face.
“He’s not your boyfriend now! He’s the enemy!” Hagakure’s hand placed itself on top of your head, forcing you to look back at the group. “Forget the lovey-dovey things and destroy him!”
You blinked absentmindedly. Who knew volleyball could bring out the weird in people.
☽✧ ✦ ✧☾
“Todoroki!”
“Got it” The bi-colored boy said calmly, quickly shooting out fire at the volleyball from his left side, sending it back your way with intense speed.
All Might had said that the ball was created with some type of material that was able to be used even with fire or explosions and other types of quirks.
“Mine!” Tsuyu called, sticking her tongue out to prevent the ball from falling on the floor.
“My way!” You yelled out, running to the side of the court. Mina glanced your way before shooting acid that sent the ball your way. You jumped up, hand colliding with the ball as you spiked it downwards, causing Iida to miss the ball by a second. “Yes!” you cheered as you landed, hands up in the air.
“Nice one Y/N! Ochako it’s your serve!”
Uraraka made her way to the line, mumbling something as she held the ball in her hands. “Should I use my quirk..? Nah” she nodded to herself as she took a step back before throwing the ball up in the air, taking a step forward and hit it.
You guys watched it hit the net, the ball falling and hitting your end of the court.
“I’m sorry guys!” She cried and covered her face with her hands.
“It’s fine Ochako-san! It’s Bakugou’s serve so look up!” Momo called out, legs bent as her hands were in front of her already.
At the name of him, you all immediately got in position, prepared for his move.
Bakugou analyzed your placement, bouncing the ball off of the ground.
“Come on Bakugou! We’re all waiting for you!” Kirishima groaned, fixing the white headband he had on.
Bakugou growled, his hand starting to sweat. He tossed the ball up in the air and spiked it, the ball speeding towards Jirou.
Her eyes widened, no time to move for it as it already landed on the floor, a point for the boys.
“Awesome!! One more then we win! Serve like that again Bakugou!”
“Of course I am, idiot!” He spat, snatching the ball from Sero’s hands.
Bakugou let out a small growl as he squeezed the ball in his hands before tossing the ball in the air and serving it your way.
“Momo!” You spoke up, bumping the ball to her as she set the ball for Hagakure to hit over.
“I got it!” Kirishima yelled as he bumped the ball towards the net.
Bakugou’s eyes followed the ball as he ran at full speed. “Move!!” He yelled and jumped up, his hand creating an explosion as it collided with the ball, a cracking noise resonating throughout the room. “Die!!”
Your eyes widened at the sudden burst of new color and the ball heading your direction.
“Y/N watch out!”
Before you could even move, the ball smacked you in your face, causing you to stumble backwards and land with a thud, your head hitting against the ground hard.
The girls gasped as they made their way to tend to you immediately.
“Bakugou!” Izuku said, pointing a finger in the blond boy’s direction. “All Might said not to go all out with our quirks! You probably gave her a concussion!”
“Yeah, she isn’t waking up,” Todoroki mumbled, arms crossed over his torso.
“That was extremely uncalled for Bakugou! You broke the rules and now we have to stop because of your carelessness!” Iida reprimanded him, hands motioning to your moving body.
“Not cool man..” Kaminari whispered, a hint of worry in his voice as he walked over to you with Kirishima and Sero.
“What happened?” you mumbled, a hand on your throbbing head. “Did I pass out?”
“Young Y/N, Bakugou went a bit too hard and spiked the ball into your face. You have to see Recovery Girl immediately. You might have gotten a concussion.” All Might helped you stand up, your body stumbling faintly.
“Really? That’s crazy..” you whispered and looked around, your classmates staring at you in worry. “What did I get a third eye?!” Your hands felt your face in search of your said third eye.
“No, your eye is swelling shut!”
“Ugh, move!” Bakugou groaned out and wrapped a hand around your wrist. “Come on. You’ll probably pass out on the way there. I’ll take you, shitty woman”
A hand on your head, you followed Bakugou from behind as you let out incoherent noises, a silence between the two of you as you walked down the hall to Recovery Girl’s office.
“You hit me really hard..”
“It was an accident”
You let out a sniffle as you wiped your eye gently, careful of the bruising. “Yeah, but it hurts!”
“Why are you complaining?! You’ve fought villains before and you’re crying because I hit you with a volleyball?”
“W-well yes! But it still hurts!”
“Fucking- let me see.” He placed a hand on your waist and brought you closer, his hand gently caressing the side of your face. “Damn… I did get you good. She’ll fix you up.”
“..kiss it better.”
“What?”
“I said,” you looked up at him, your eye fluttering shut. “Kiss it better.”
Bakugou stared down at you like you lost your mind. He sighed in defeat and placed a gentle kiss on your wound, his lips lingering for a second more that sent warmth throughout your body.
“There. Now stop crying.”
You let out a small smile and patted his cheeks. “Kiss it again!”
“I just fucking did dammit!”
“Well, kiss it again asshole!”
“No!”
“Why not?!”
“Because I said so! Now start walking and quit talking shitty woman!”

HI I don’t much about stores in Japan butttt I LOVE THIS IDEA SO HERE U GO SORRY FOR THE WAIT!!
Title: Shopping Cart Joyride
Prompt: (Requested!)
Rating: Fluff!
Words: 5,870
——————————————————————————
“You know what would go great with these notes? Some sukiyaki.”
You snorted at Mina’s words, partially ignoring her as you continued to show Tsuyu the correct math equation. The girls from 1-A were all gathered in the living room, notes and textbooks haphazardly scattered across the coffee table and floor. While you weren’t the smartest student within the class, you were at least in the top 5, meaning you and Momo had been recruited by your other classmates to run a studying session.
“Oh, that does sound good! Do you think we have everything for it?” Ochako piped up in excitement, and soon everyone was chattering about the prospect of hot pot. Even your stomach was growling at the thought.
“Do you think we could convince Bakugou to make it? He’s the best chef here.”
“Oi! Talking shit, you extras?”
Just as the words had left Mina’s lips, the infamous hothead himself entered the building, a gym bag tossed over his shoulder and sweat glistening from his forehead. Trailing close behind him were Kirishima, Kaminari, and a handful of the other boys who forced themselves through Bakugou’s tough regime, huffing and puffing as if they just finished a marathon. Your E/C gaze immediately sought out Kirishima, drifting over his frame before dropping to your notes once more, a light blush adorning your cheeks. From beside you, Jirou nudged your arm with a grin. Your crush on the red head was apparent to a lot of your classmates, except for him it seemed. Not that you minded that fact too much; just imagining Kirishima knowing about your little crush and ignoring it would be too embarrassing.
“Always, Bakugou! But we’ll stop if you make us sukiyaki for dinner!” Mina bartered, sitting more upright as she let her attention zero in on her target. He snorted, shouldering his bag with narrowed eyes. You swung your attention back to Kiri, and immediately swung it away after meeting his eyes. Crap, you thought to yourself, biting down on your bottom lip. That was unexpected. You could feel almost all of the girl’s eyes on you, most likely because they caught the awkward interaction. Ochako swore that Kiri felt the same way, but you always brushed her off. He never seemed to treat you any differently than the other girls, so why would you assume otherwise?
Mina continued to plead to Bakugou, until he finally broke. “Fine! Just stay the hell out of my way, or I’ll kill you!” He barked, shoulders tensed as he dropped his bag onto the chair and storming into the kitchen. Only a few seconds ticked by with the sound of banging cabinets before he returned to the room, pan held in one hand like a weapon. “How in the fuck am I supposed to cook something when there’s no ingredients, huh dumbasses?”
Mina’s face fell. “Ah, I forgot about that part…”
“Idiot!”
Momo perked up. “Hey, it’s still early. We can still go get some ingredients, right?” She looked to her peers, who all nodded in agreement, before returning her attention to Bakugou. “Make a list of what you want, and we’ll send someone for them! How simple!”
His frown grew, but he did as Momo asked and stepped into the living room, dropping his frying pan onto the couch before scribbling down what he needed in a lone notebook. He tore out the page and, strangely enough, handed it to you. “Here. Get all of this, or else.” He threatened lightly, but the words didn’t hold the punch. Before you could reply, he was out of the room, trudging up the stairs and to his room. “Be back in an hour or you’re fucked!” He hollered out behind him.
“I guess I’m in charge of this, huh?” You sighed, standing up from your spot on the floor with a groan. Your legs were sore, being in the same position for nearly an hour, and made your way to the kitchen where your class hid its food money, shoving a majority of the wad into the pocket of your sweatpants. You felt a presence behind you, and immediately yelped when a hand grabbed your arm.
“Woah! Calm down, it’s just me.” Kiri raised his hands by his head in mock innocence, grinning as you placed a steady hand over your rapidly beating heart. He was still in his gym clothes, red basketball shorts and a white t-shirt, although his hair was slightly damp. No doubt due to a shower he had taken after working out. You shoved the thought out of your head almost as quickly as you had formulated it. The last thing you needed to think about was Kiri in all of his bare glory, from his biceps to his happy trail down to his… man, you really needed to stop imagining that before it was too late. A hand appeared in your vision, and you snapped back to reality.
“Sorry, did you say something?”
“Yeah! I was asking if you needed some help to the grocery store! I’m sure those bags will be pretty heavy.”
He wrapped one hand behind his neck, grin softening as you debated his proposal. On one hand, you’d be alone with him for an uncertain amount of time and, while you were certain you wouldn’t make a fool out of yourself, that couldn’t be promised… On the other hand, you’d be alone with him for an uncertain amount of time. Without the eyes of your gossip-greedy friends. Which didn’t sound bad at all.
“You know what? Sure. Thanks, Kiri.” You smiled at him, noticing the way the tips of his ears reddened. It made your heart jump to your throat. “No problemo! Let me grab my coat, and we can head out!” He was as loud as always when he bounded out of the kitchen, practically flying up the stairs. As soon as he exited, you released a sigh and went back into the living room. At that point, the boys had surged with the girls, studying forgotten as a rerun of an older movie played on the TV screen. Ochako had her phone in her hand, no doubt notifying the group chat of that night’s dinner plans; a ploy to get Midoriya out of his bedroom. Her gaze swung to you.
“So! Kiri and you are going to the store, huh?” She said, and you didn’t miss the suggestive tone in her voice, nor the wiggle of her eyebrows.
“Yeah, we are. Why?” You play innocent, batting your lashes at your friend as she snickers. The familiar blonde of Kaminari pops into your line of sight, and he’s wearing a similar grin. “Oh, no reason!” He sings, leaning over the couch’s cushions on his stomach, chin propped up by his palms as he kicks his legs up and down like a preteen girl. “Just try to stay away from one another, hmm? Can’t have your flirting get in the way of our dinner, you know.”
You flicked his forehead, hard enough to earn a whine from the boy. “Shush, you’ll get your food. Jeez.” You barely notice how his eyes darted behind you before returning, and his smile taking on a more flirtatious turn. He leans forward more, pushing up and hovering his face only inches away from your own. “Well, if you ever get tired of waiting, don’t forget I’m always he-” He’s stopped as a familiar hand lands on his face, shoving him off of the couch and unfortunately leading to him crashing to the floor with a groan. You look beside you, Kiri’s hand still in the air but an ever-present smile on his lips. “Ready to go?” He chirped, and you notice how he’s switched out his shorts for dark jeans, a bomber jacket tossed over his shoulder yet unworn.
“We’ll be back soon, guys!” You shoot a final farewell to your classmates before Kiri sweeps you out of the building. You’re grateful that the nearest store is only a few minutes’ walk away; not because you don’t like walking with Kiri, but because you’ve just noticed how the wind has started picking up and your current outfit isn’t really cut out for cold conditions. You wish you would’ve changed, your wrinkly t-shirt and sweatpants suddenly looking less appetizing than they had only moments ago. You drift your eyes back to Kiri’s jeans, climbing them up his leg and chest until they meet his ruby eyes. Again. You bit your lip and looked away. Second time. I’m slipping up. You joked to yourself
“Are you cold?” Kiri asked, disregarding how you had pretty much eyed him. His attention instead shifts to your crossed arms, before moving to the sidewalk ahead of him, cheeks dusted from the cold. You were a little chilly, but you’d never admit that to him. Especially since he seemed fine. “Nope! The weather is great right now!” You exclaimed a bit more than you needed to, and to prove yourself, you uncross your arms and will them to casually swing beside you. You hoped he didn’t notice the shiver that ran through you.
“Well, at least it isn’t too far of a walk! Hey, did you understand Present Mic’s lecture today? I didn’t…” He switches the topic quickly, and you happily delve into the new subject as you try your best to explain the new information that had been drilled into your minds earlier that day. By the time you’ve finished, the two of you are idle in front of the market, and you’ve partially forgotten about how cold you are. At least, until you enter the store and you’re hit with a blast of warmth.
You pull the crumbled list from your pocket, eyes scanning over Bakugou’s scrawled words. “We might need a cart. Looks like Bomb Boy wanted everything the store had to offer.” The comment earns you a chuckle, and you take it.
“Already five steps ahead of you, partner!” You look to see Kiri already armed with a plastic cart, his jacket balled up in the corner of it.. You shift away from the entrance to avoid blocking it, and he follows dutifully, swinging the cart to his right as he glances over to you beside him. “What’s the first on the list?” Kiri ducks his head beside yours, shoulders brushing as you give him a chance to go over the list himself. You’re a hair away from his face, and so close that you can see a little scar that’s practically invisible on his otherwise clear forehead. You stare at it for a moment too long, wondering if there’s a story behind it, before he swings his attention to you and suddenly your lips are inches away from one another and your brain sort of short circuits to the point that all you want to do is close off that couple of inches that sits between your lips and-
You stumble backwards and plaster on a weary smile. “Vegetables first! Let’s go!” You rush the words out and surge forward, painfully ignoring the fact that you were seconds away from ruining your friendship with Kiri. He stills for a moment, then he’s close behind you. You almost miss the blank look that’s overtaken his usually bright expression, but it disappears too quickly for you to properly register as his familiar grin returns. “Man, wouldn’t it be funny if we got only a few vegetables and a bunch of meat? I bet Bakugou would blow a gasket!” He said, and you forced yourself to chuckle at the thought.
The first few moments are filled with an awkward silence, as you read off of the list and Kiri finds the items said. After a few ingredients later, Kiri swings his head around, scanning the store curiously. “Hey, when you were a kid, did your parents ever drive you around in the shopping cart?” The question is unprompted, and you tilt your head at the red head in confusion.
“Um, not really. My mom didn’t take me with her when she shopped, usually. Why do you ask?”
“Well- Wait, never? Dude, you missed out!”
A small smile graced your lips. “I guess I wouldn’t know, huh?” You teased lightly, but Kiri doesn’t laugh; instead, he glances around once more, before moving all of the collected vegetables into the same corner of his jacket.
“Alright, get in!”
You stare at him for a moment, eyes scanning over his serious expression. You’re still smiling. “Seriously?”
“Seriously! C’mon, it’s dead here. No one will say anything about it!”
You highly doubted that, but only shook your head before doing as Kiri asked, wobbling slightly as you climbed into the cart. Kiri’s arm automatically shoots out to balance you, and you use it graciously, appreciating the warm muscle under your palm as you steady yourself and sit down, facing away from Kiri and arms wrapped around your knees. “Are you ready?” He asks in a giddy tone, and you have a feeling he’s more excited than you are for this. Nonetheless, you nod, and suddenly you’re barrelling down the aisle, flashes of green blurring slightly. A surprised giggle bubbles from your lips, your hands moving from your knees to the cart’s walls on either side of you.
He cart-drifts the turn, and you wonder if you’re going to crash straight into the table of bananas before you’re flying once more. Your giggles have escalated into shrieks of glee, and from behind you can hear Kiri’s breathy laughter as he pushes the cart. He halts the cart expertly, and you nearly fall forward and face-first but catch yourself. You’re still laughing, and Kiri joins in with you. Despite how short the first ride was, you enjoyed it. It felt exhilarating, and a part of you was ready to do it all over again. You and Kiri made eye contact for only a second, and then you’re flying through the air again, screaming like a child with Kiri close behind.
That is, until the store’s employee just happened to turn the corner at the exact wrong time.
He seized up, panic flowing over his features as he saw you and Kiri barrelling towards him in a bright red cart. Kiri automatically hit the breaks, lurching you forward before slamming backwards, whining in pain. However, it goes unnoticed as the store clerk’s fearful eyes morph into a glare.
“Please refrain from any unnecessary activities on the floor.” His voice was ice cold, and he pointedly stared at your frozen frame until Kiri’s arms circled under yours, effectively pulling you up to help you climb out of the cart. As soon as your feet had hit the tile, the clerk was gone once more, his grumbling audible from the aisle next over. You glanced over at the red head, faces blank for a moment. Then, smiles bloomed on both of your lips, and you held your stomach as you giggled uncontrollably. “G-god, that was embarrassing.”
“But you had fun, right?”
You straightened up, noticing how Kiri’s smile had taken a softer tone as he stared at you. “Yeah, I did. Thanks, Kiri.” You had to urge to press a kiss to his cheek - friends did that, right? - and did so, pretending to ignore the fact that his face flushed red. “C’mon, let’s finish this list and head back before Bakugou blows us both up.”
You continue down the list, Kiri pushing the cart as you lead him through the store. During your hunt, the two of you go between other ingredients you could add that weren’t on the list. “What about hot sauce? Like, a really hot one?” He said, and your eyes lit up.
“Oh my god! And what if we put it only in Bakugou’s bowl?”
“And Kaminari’s! Maybe Mina’s too, since she’s the one who wanted sukiyaki and couldn’t come get the stuff herself.”
“Jeez, that’s evil. I love it.”
Kiri laughed, and you felt your chest warm at the welcoming sound. “I’ll take all the blame too. Gotta protect my grocery store co-pilot, right?” He winked, then changed his attention to the next aisle where the cursed sauces laid. He grabbed what Bakugou had asked for first, then stood in front of the hottest sauces the store had to offer with a hand on his chin. He looked like he was in deep thought, and after staring at the shelves for a moment longer, turned to you. “What do you think is hotter, the bottle with four jalepenos, or the bottle with four flames?” He grabbed the two mentioned, turning them over in his hand as he read the labels before giving them to you. You scanned both quickly.
“Well, the one with the flames does say ‘Burning off taste buds since 1974’, so I think they’ve got the heat crafted pretty well.” You mused, handing both bottles back to your friend. He scrutinized them a bit more and shrugged. “Aye aye, captain!” He said, grinning once more as he placed the first bottle back in its rightful place, and its rival in the cart. “I think that’s almost everything, though! Just gotta grab the meat next. Man, I’m hungry…” Kiri continued to mumble as he pushed forward into the store, towards the cold section to nab the said item. Your heart sank; you were hungry as well, but a part of you wanted to keep hanging with Kiri one-on-one. It was fun. You were having fun.
However, it couldn’t last forever.
“Did you find everything okay?” The store clerk’s voice was bland, eyes still narrowed at the two of you as he lazily scanned through the items you had gathered. It was the same man as earlier, who had caught you screaming down the aisles like a madwoman, and an embarrassed blush crosses your cheeks. Even Kiri looked a little guilty, but he tried to downplay it with a short chuckle. “Yeah, thanks! I like your watch, by the way!”
“… Thanks.”
Kiri puckered his lips in an attempt to stay silent, and you force yourself to fight down the giggle that threatened to rise. He looked like a duck, sort of; a red-haired duck. Or  a baby who had just tried a lemon for the first time. He caught your gaze with his own, eyes twinkling mischievously. The only sounds were the beeping from the register as it scanned through every item, and the low melody of the speakers playing overhead. The store clerk was muttering under his breath, and Kiri raised an eyebrow in your direction silently. “He seems upset. Wonder why.” He leaned in to whisper to you, breath tickling your ear. You grin, and quickly try to wipe the look away as the clerk glanced up at you. “Here’s your total.” He pointed to the electronic screen, and you scurried to pull the crumbled bills from your pocket, awkwardly handing them over. If looks could kill, the clerk would’ve been a murderer long ago, and you shrunk away from his gaze slightly. He moved his attention back to the register, grumbles growing in volume slightly, and Kiri pinched your side. “Jeez, be careful now (Y/N). We don’t want to get on his bad side.” You forced down the giggle, opting for a straight face as the employee hands back your change and receipt.
It isn’t until you and Kiri step outside that you two finally laughed; it’s full of hiccups and snorts, and you leaned against the wall until both of you calmed down. “I feel kind of bad for the guy.” Kiri says, and you wiped a stray tear from your eye. Looking down at your hands, you’re glad you hadn’t come alone; the bags really were heavy.
“I blame you! Hold the bags, co-pilot.”
Kiri dutifully does as you ask, grabbing the two plastic shopping bags from you and brushing his hands against your own. You felt a slight tingle from it, and drew back fairly quickly as you began to head back to the school. The wind has picked up, and as a gust sweeps by, you shiver. It doesn’t go by unnoticed. “Here, take this.” Kiri sets the bags to the ground and slips out of his coat, hanging it from his fingers. He’s looking at you expectedly, and you hesitate. “I can’t! It’s really not that cold out, I’ll be fine.”
“(Y/N), I can see the goosebumps on your arms. Just take it before I force you to.” The threat is empty, and shyly you smile as you accept the coat, slipping it around your frame. It’s big on you, not that you mind, and smells entirely of Kiri; of the musky cologne that he wore so often, and coconut shampoo. You snuggle deeper into its warmth. Kiri grabbed the bags once more. “Okay! Let’s hurry up, it’s cold!” He rushed forward before you had a chance to swat at his arm, chasing after him with a fist in the air as he laughed.
He finally slowed for you, and you continue to walk side-by-side with one another. “Are you sure you don’t want me to take a bag?”
“Of course not! How manly would I be if I let a lady carry the groceries?”
You snorted, but let the topic drift away as you look forward, lost in your thoughts. The day had gone so good, and you had been crushing on him for quite a while… Would it be a bad time to confess? If he didn’t feel the same, you knew Kiri would still try to preserve the friendship in some way or another. Just the thought of that made you wince, and you casted a glance at your companion. What you didn’t expect was to meet his amber gaze, but instead of turning away, you kept staring. And so did he.
He stopped walking, and opened his mouth to speak. Then closed it. He tried speaking again, to no avail, and instead sighed. “Man, this is harder than I thought.” He said, and laughed slightly after. His grip on the bags was tighter than before, knuckles turning pale as he averted his gaze for a second before returning his eyes to you. He took a deep breath, and patiently you waited. You felt like your heart was jumping out of your chest, but you waited nonetheless.
“It’s just… We should hurry home before it’s too late.”
Your heart deflated, and you hoped it didn’t show on your face. Instead, you opted for a short laugh, one that sounded pitiful to your own ears. “Ah, yeah… Good thing we’re close.” You turn back towards the path and step forward, silently cursing yourself for expecting something… different. What had you expected, really? A confession? You bit your tongue, dashing away the thought before it can fully form into something more.
The walk back is quieter than the walk to the store, and you try not to dwell on the fact too much. As soon as you enter the kitchen, you plastered on a smile. “We’re ba~ack!” You shouted, and Mina popped her head over the couch cushions. Most of your classmates had situated themselves in the living room, Bakugou included; although he looked pretty peeved.
“Oi, what took you so long? I thought I told you an hour!”
You rolled your eyes at the blonde, redirecting your gaze to Kiri as he sets the bags down on the dining table. You smiled at him. “Well, you shouldn’t have given us such a long list!” As you turned back to the living room, you motioned for Kiri to get into the kitchen, hoping he hadn’t forgotten about the hot sauce. Based on the gleam in his eyes, though, you guessed he hadn’t. “So get in the kitchen, Wench Bakugou!”
“What the fuck did you just call me?”
“Chef Wench Bakugou? Is that better?” He grumbled as he stood up, nearly shouldering you as he stalked into the kitchen. You jumped towards the seat he had left on the couch, and despite your happy expression, you noticed how Ochaco looked at you with worry. “Outta my way, shitty hair!” Soon after, Kiri was kicked out of the kitchen as well, grinning like a cheshire cat as he stumbled into the living room, collapsing beside his friends. Automatically, they fell into conversation, and Ochaco slid closer beside you.
“Hey, are you okay?” She kept her voice low, and you glanced at her from the corner of your eye with a sigh.
“Is it that obvious?”
“What happened?”
You sighed again, a bit louder this time, and slouched back into the cushions. “Can I tell you later? I’m just ready to eat and go to bed.” Ochaco nodded in understanding, looking over at Kiri for a thoughtful moment before switching the subject. “Since, you’re back, can you show me how to solve this equation? For some reason…” As Bakugou worked in the kitchen, you went back to helping your classmates with studying. You could feel someone’s eyes flick over to you every so often, but you chose to ignore looking up, instead focusing on the task at hand. Within the next hour, Bakugou’s familiar growling cut through the chatter, announcing that dinner was ready to be served.
You stood up at the same time as Kirishima, obviously having the same thought as the two of you grinned. “You did all the hard work, so let (Y/N) and I serve you!” A chorus of thanks resonated from the living room, and even Bakugou didn’t bat an eyelash as the two of you made your way into the kitchen.
“Jeez, they believed that pretty easily.” Kiri snickered, rounding the corner with the bottle of hot sauce in one hand. You didn’t as where he had hidden it; instead, you made your way to the cabinet, reaching up to pull down the glass bowls that resided there. However, it seemed as though someone had recently moved them, putting them on a shelf higher than usual. You stretched up on your toes, inches away from the dishes, mumbling softly about how short you were. Seconds later, there was pressure on your back as Kiri stood behind you, easily grabbing the wanted bowls from their place. Heat rose to your cheeks once more that evening, as you felt his chest press against your shoulders, crotch flush against your backside. If someone had walked in at that moment, they might have assumed that they had walked into something more inappropriate than a friend lending a helping hand. Automatically you froze, hand dropping and bracing itself on the countertop. You felt light-headed, and more so as Kiri pulled away and tugged you to turn around. He used his arms to trap you, placed on either side of your frame as he set down the few bowls he had grabbed and tilted his head down to stare at you. His eyes were burning, but with what you weren’t sure, and before you could decipher it he leaned in closer, lips hovering over your own up until-
You were the one to push forward, leaning further into Kiri as you kissed him, barely a brush of your lips, enjoying the little zap that ran through your body as you did so. He tensed up, as if unsure if he should follow in suit, but quickly made up his mind as he wrapped a hand around your waist, the other finding its way into your hair and tilting your head upwards. He pulled back for barely a moment, then he was kissing you more deeply, hungrily. His tongue ran over your bottom lip, asking for entrance that you granted. He was warm, and tasted funnily like marshmallows; a complete opposite of his quirk, really. Nevertheless you enjoyed it, and the only reason he pulled away was to take in a lungful of air, and as soon as your mouths disconnected you gasped for it. Your lips felt swollen, and in surprise you ghosted your fingers over them. Did that really just happen? You thought to yourself and, shyly, you glanced to Kiri under your eyelashes, gauging his reaction. His cheeks were dusted pink, lips bright as his chest rose rapidly. He looked just as shocked as you, eyes wide as he scanned over your face, eyes staring at your lips a moment too long. Then, he grinned.
“So… That wasn’t supposed to happen.”
You automatically felt your heart stop, staring at his face and willing him to say more. Don’t say it was a mistake, you screamed to yourself. Don’t make me pretend to forget about it. That had been your first real kiss - you didn’t count the one from first grade, which was barely a peck before the victimized boy ran off screaming about cooties - but Kirishima’s words didn’t make it as special as you wanted it to be. Idly, you wondered if that was his first kiss too. If it was, you were greatly surprised. Kiri spoke again.
“I-I mean, not that it was bad! But I had wanted to confess first, maybe take you out on our first date before doing that. Or is the first date too soon? Is kissing a third date kind of thing? Everything is so different in the movies.” Kiri began to ramble, eyes darting around the kitchen to avoid your gaze. You stared at him silently, trying to digest his words, which spurred him on to continue talking. “I mean, I almost did it earlier, too! I was able to stop myself then, but you just looked so cute with your little smile, and it was cute that you couldn’t reach the top shelf so I helped you like they sometimes do in those shoujo mangas, but I didn’t expect you to lean forward and-” He finally stopped himself, eyes widening even more as he looked down at you in wonder. “And… and you leaned in, which means…” You could practically see the gears in his head churning, and before you could second guess your actions you grabbed his face with both of his hands.
“Which means I like you too.” You affirmed his thoughts, and if you thought his smile was bright before, the one that grew on his face at that moment was a lighthouse beacon. He didn’t hesitate to yank you into a fierce hug, and you grunted softly at the force but welcomed it anyway, tangling your arms behind his neck. You two sat like that for a bit, before Kiri’s shoulders tensed. “Crap, they’re probably wondering where their food is.” He muttered, and you laughed. You pressed a swift kiss to his smooth cheek, enjoying the way he blushed over the action, before pulling away for him. “C’mon, we’ve still got a plan to commence, co-pilot.” You teased, taking the bowls he had set on the counter and scooping a serving of sukiyaki into them. “Would you like to do the honors?”
Kiri quickly pulled the rest of the bowls down from the shelf, setting them all side-by-side with one another before grabbing the hot sauce. It was sealed tightly, and even the smell of it after being opened made your nostrils flare. Kiri laughed evilly. “Oh, would I!” He added a few drops to three of the bowls, mixing it into the broth and giving it a slightly darker color before looking at his work in satisfaction.
“Sorry for the wait!” You announced, swinging out of the kitchen with a bowl in each hand. At the sound of your voice, everyone made their way to sit at the tables, chattering in excitement. Kiri was holding four bowls in his arms, and he shot you a wink before handing them out and returning to the kitchen for more. “Here you go, Mina.” You said sweetly and, her being as trusting as she was, grabbed the food with a chirp of thanks. You and Kiri leaned against the kitchen counter, eyes trained on your victims; Kiri had untainted portions hidden behind his back for them after their suffering. Mina was the first one to eat from the tainted sukiyaki, and as soon as the first spoonful hit her tongue, her eyes were watering.
“Why is it so spicy?” She whined, fanning her tongue comedically with one hand as she coughed. Everyone looked at her in confusion, up until Kaminari started mirroring her. “Seriously! Baku-bro, c’mon!”
The blonde growled, his first bite of his meal still untaken. “What are you talking about, you damned Pikachu? I didn’t add shit to it.”
Midoriya reaffirmed everyone else’s thoughts. “Yeah, it tastes fine to the rest of us, right guys?”
“Shut up, you damned Deku!”
The green-haired boy shrunk back with a sheepish smile, all too familiar with Bakugou’s empty threats. You and Kiri exchanged a look, both of you quietly enjoying your own meals with hidden smiles. You knew Mina and Kaminari wouldn’t be able to handle the hot sauce, but Bakugou was different. He’d either love it or rage about it for the rest of the week. You bounced your knee in anticipation. He took his first bite, brows automatically furrowing together before- “What the fuck? It’s hotter than hell!”
You couldn’t hold back at that point, and started giggling like a little school girl, hand pressed against your mouth to try ceasing your guilt from escaping. Bakugou’s eyes automatically sought you out. “This was you two, wasn’t it?”
“Aw, no fair (Y/N)!” Mina squealed, jumping up and lightly slapping your arm. Her face was still red, eyes still watery, but she smiled nonetheless.
“Sorry, sorry.” Kiri said with a grin, hands raised like a caught criminal. “It was my idea.” He pulled out the bowl hidden behind his back, handing Mina and Kaminari the safe dinner portions with a chuckle. They took it with thanks, but Bakugou refused the bowl with a vicious grin. “Keep that baby shit! Only a real man could eat something this hot!” He barked, before shoveling a large portion into his mouth with a triumphant look. Kiri still and, after glancing at you only once, puffed out his chest.
“Oh yeah? Well I’m a real man too!”
You couldn’t stop him in time, only staring wide-eyed at your crush as he grabbed Kaminari’s uneaten bowl and took a bit bite from it. His face was frozen in its usual smile for only a second, before it crumbled. Cheeks bright, tears streamed down his face as he worked to swallow the concoction. “S-See? Easy!” His voice cracked, and not even you could hold down your laugh as you slapped Kiri on the back for a job well done.
“Don’t torture yourself, man!”
“Put down the poison, Kiri!”
The class cackled at the red-head’s reaction, but he didn’t seem to notice as he kept his eyes trained on you. He smiled, despite the tears that ran down his cheeks, and you grinned back before tangling your hand in his. Kiri didn’t need to act manly to win your heart; he already won it a long time ago.
If only a certain blonde didn’t ruin it with: “Hey, keep that romantic crap outta here, I’m eating!”

Seeing Stars
Anonymous Prompt: Weed with the boys and Acid with the girls
I honestly didn’t know how to go about this at first, but I enjoyed the challenge. Check it out below and leave me a message or drop an ask if you want more!
Kaminari was on his fifteenth jalapeno popper, laying completely wrecked on the couch at Tokoyami’s apartment, begging Tokoyami to listen to him. “I need a real answer, I’m begging you my bird friend.”
“What is it dude, I’m half asleep.”
“How in the hell….would you eat ass.”
Bakugo, Kirishima, and Deku fucking erupted. Bits of jalapeno and cheese went flying from the other couch in laughter before Katsuki started to choke, warranting a swift slap in the back from his main bro. “Thanks bro.” He says before going back to lay down. Kirishima popped another pepper in his mouth, stroking his bro’s hair as he lay in his lap.
“Guys I’m fucking serious.” Kaminari says, before reaching up to touch the birdman’s face. “He’s so...pointy.” Izuku, now completely ignoring the situation resumes he’s conversation about aliens with Iida who had resigned to sitting on the floor.
“So like I said, I was watching this old show Ancient Aliens and they were saying they got these crazy doors right? And Aliens are using them to like steal humans and stuff.”
“Midiroya that is fucking sick.”
“Yo where’s Todoroki?” Tokoyami asks, beginning to retreat into his hoodie for a quick nap.
“He’s been trying to call Momo for over an hour, you know how he gets when he’s blasted dude.” Kirishima answers, planting a small kiss on his bro’s face because he finally fell asleep.
Todoroki was alone in the bathroom, sweaty t-shirt discarded and sitting on the toilet with his basketball shorts on. He was whining into his phone. “Baaaaaabe.” he groans when he hears the voicemail beep, “Where are you guys? Mina said you all be here awhile ago and I miss yoooou.” The phone cut out and he dialed again
Meanwhile…
The girls’ party had degraded fully into some form of back alley tom-foolery. Tsuyu and Mina had been making out in a corner for at least the past twently minutes, and the trio of Kyoka, Momo, and Ochako were all taking turns playing some beach ball type game with random furniture in Mina’s house or with random shit Momo had started to literally pull out of her ass. They had all long forgotten where or with home they were supposed to be and the Daft Punk playing over Mina’s massive speakers was enough to keep them from caring. The room was only lit by her assortment of taking lava lamps, and the pure girlish fun they were having was absolutely euphoric. There were a few taller lamps that had fallen on the floor, by an earlier contest of improv-pole dancing, and fifteen or sixteen tab papers were spilled out over the coffee table, along with their phones.

The floor is lava
Bakugo x kirishima
Kinda just a random fix NGL...featuring the game "the floor is lava"
Denki is the traitor xD ( I'm joking I love him....but hmm this seems suspicious!)
***
Denki kaminari had been getting on Bakugos last nerve with this stupid game, he would run into a room and shout "the floor is lava!" Then proceeded to jump on the closest object everyone always laughed and joined in jumping on chairs or the counters that stupid nerd deku had even convinced that dam half and half to join in once pulling him onto the couch to "save him from the lava" as they all laughed.
Bakugo never joined in he thought islt was childish they weren't kids anymore but what had really started to piss him off was when the dam pikachu knock off would interrupt this alone time with kirishima... And of course the ree read went along with it every time... Idiot.
The first time is happened Bakugo and kirishima where kissing my the kitchen table just before breakfast, Bakugo had been making himself some coffee when this sleepy boyfriend walked in looking like a snacc...then kaminari ran in after he shouted that god awful sentence "THE FLOOR IS LAVA!" kirishima jumped up onto the kitchen counter away from bakugo.
Idiots.
So now when he finally got some alone time he wasn't gonna let it get taken away from him.
"Oi shitty hair" Bakugo stood in his baggy hammer pants and crop top his arms crossed as he looked over to his boyfriend
"Yeah b? What's up?" Kirishima glanced over, he was sitting in the community area with midoriya and todoroki when Bakugo walked in.
"Here. Now." He pointed in front of himself rolling his eyes as deku smiled at him watching kirishima walk over to him.
Kirishima was in his gym gear a red vest with black basketball shorts, sneekers and his hair in a pony tail, the red head Kissee his cheek sweetly wrapping his arms around the blondes waist with a hum Bakugo reached up gripping his chin before kissing him deeply nipping at kirishimas bottom lip.
Todoroki seemed to watch them for a little too long before looking back at midoriya with a why smile, ochako and iida walked past Bakugo and kirishima kissing just beside the doorway before greeting their friends who still where sitting where kirishima had left them.
Bakugo broke apart the kiss meeting the half lidded crimson eyes of his boyfriend with a smirk "bedroom?" Bakugo whispered as he reached down to grab at kirishimas ass, he never did have a problem with showing everyone what belonged to him.
Before kirishima could answer a loud and wild Denki appeared "the floor is lava!" He yelped before jumping onto the nearest sofa away from the rest of the group
Bakugo growled about to yell at the annoying blonde but everyone was already sitting on the sofas well everyone except kirishima and Bakugo so it seemed the annoying blonde had picked the wrong time to play his little game.
"No seriously guys! The floor is lava!" Kaminari yelped pointing at the floor
"Oh for fuck sake stop with that shit already you dam pikachu knock off! I swear I'll blow your ass up!" Bakugo felt hot...no his feet felt hot he looked down to see a liquid coming though the door way just shy of his bare feet
"Oh shit! Bakugo" kirishima noticed too as he hardened his feet protectively before pulling Bakugo into his arms lifting him up off the floor.
The floor was actually lava...what the fuck?!
It wasn't long until they had figured out a villain had attacked but how the fuck where they meant to get out there and fight if they where stuck in this room!
Bakugo and kirishima where sitting on the table the "lava" didn't seem to be burning the furniture, what a lame quirk Bakugo thought...it didn't seem to have any trouble burning skin tho as kirishima found out, dam his stupid boyfriend for always trying to save him before himself.
"What if I make us float? We wouldn't have to touch the floor?" Ochako finally piped up still on the long couch that sat herself, deku, todoroki and iida
Todoroki gave a nod before looking over at Denki who was still on the single sofa.
Ochako gave todoroki a light tap with all 5 fingers causing him to float up his hands out above him to stop himself from crashing into the ceiling, deku was next todoroki reached his hand to grab his leading him up to stabilize himself agasint the top of the room, iida and ochako went up together as she reached out to tap Denki, only Bakugo and kirishima to go the rest made their way over to the door frame exiting the room bracing themselves on the walls and doorways, ochako tapped other boys before catching up to her friends.
Bakugo grunted he hated his hated that another make out session was ruined by Denki...and well a villain he still blamed Denki some how...
A loud crack came from the indoor speakers as present mic announced the villain had been stopped and the effects on the floor would be dealt with soon and for everyone to stay calm.
Bakugo huffed he should have been out there fighting not floating in the hallway...kirishima seemed to read his boyfriends frustration as he floated his way over to him holding his burning hot hands
+++
The floors had been dealt with but the fact that they where still floating hadn't been Bakugo and the rest still floated and told they would do until the quirk wore off...awesome Bakugo thought exactly how he wanted to spend the rest of his day...

Before you read, here’s the previous chapter. New? Start from the beginning!
Cherry-Orange Blossoms
Ao3
Chapter 2: I’m Fine (But Not Really)
The sweet, syrupy taste of the cherry lozenge bled over Katsuki’s tongue as he rolled it over, holding it securely in his teeth as he bent down to retrieve his school bag from the floor. The numbing medication worked exceptionally fast; as soon as he was strolling out of the classroom, the burning, itching pain crawling the back of his throat had ceased. He shoved the remaining number of the tablets into his bookbag. He glanced down the hallway to see the flash of Izuku’s pine-green hair and Ochako’s glittery purple planet charm disappearing around the corner, and no amount of throat lozenges in the world could spare him the hacking cough the sight stirred within him. Scowling, he pressed his fist against his mouth to catch the small drip of spittle he had hacked up. Maybe it was his imagination, but he swore he found the faint taste of cherry blossoms mingling with the overbearing cherry flavor.
Katsuki’s sneakers scraped against the tile as he pushed himself to follow after the apparent love of his life and the love of hers. He cordoned the incendiary thoughts in the back of his mind, because the last thing he needed was to erupt into a coughing fit with so many people around. The hallway was hustling and bustling with students eager to escape the humdrum of the classroom and head out for some fun on the town, migrate to sports practices, or, if one were as zealous as a particular bespectacled class representative, hurry home for some studying. Katsuki usually didn’t mind the intense buzzing of conversation and laughter in his ears, but today, it seemed louder than usual. The laughter, especially. In the paranoid corners of his mind, he was wondering if the secret was already out. Big, bad, Katsuki Bakugo, who had so much scorn for those with Hanahaki, had finally reaped the spoils of his hubris.
Shut up, he growled and pawed at his ears. A girl laughed loudly, and he whirled with a manic gasp, vermillion eyes wide as he frantically searched the crowd. No one was looking at him, and yet everyone was. Mocking glances, hands barely hiding scornful snickers and amused grins. “Poor Bakugo,” they chirped. “In love with a girl who’ll never love him! Such a shame to see him die, but you know what they say- that’s karma.” Katsuki clutched at his chest, fingers tearing into his loose red tie, as his breath hitched. Fuck, was he coughing up another petal? A full flower, even? His vision grew hazier the longer that the shortness of breath continued. Panting, he slumped into the white brick wall. His palm left a smear of sweat over the smooth overcoat as his hand slid down. I can’t breathe… I can’t fucking breathe…!
“Baku-bro, you all right, man?”
It felt like he inhaled the four winds themselves when Eijirou clapped a hand on his shoulder, and Katsuki sucked in a giant breathe through his teeth. Eyes still red and bloodshot, he peered wildly out of his peripheral vision to see the redhead staring at him concernedly. “You’re really pale, dude. And sweaty! You have a fever or something?” Before Katsuki could stop him, Eijirou pushed up his ash-blond bangs to feel his forehead. Katsuki flushed a little and slapped his hand away, while his friend’s frown only deepened. “You could have a slight fever, bro. Are you sure you need to go to practice today?”
“I’m fine, Shitty Hair,” he snapped and fixed his bangs, which were clumped together with sweat. It left his fingers sticky and grimy-feeling. Like blood, which he would be coughing up soon. Red blood, red like cherry lozenges, and Katsuki’s eyes and Ochako’s hairpins. He gagged those thoughts and threw them in the basement of his mind, locking the door and flinging the key into a mental ocean. Grunting, he shoved himself away from the wall to begin stomping back towards his initial destination- the gym. Eijirou yelped and ran after him, bleating worried protests.
Katsuki was the power forward of U.A.’s basketball team- and the star player. Like hell he would be copping out like a pansy. Katsuki had broken almost every school record to date, and even invented a few new ones. His name was plastered on banners and trophies and plaques displayed proudly in the school’s massive display case in the front rotunda. His name was printed in so many articles that his mom had run out of places to display them. Like hell he was wussing out. With his name on the lips of every professional scout and college coach in the country, as well as being spoken by international big-wigs, missing even one practice for “health issues” was tantamount to career suicide.
Besides, if Katsuki wasn’t there to shine, the spotlight would fall on their speedy and charismatic small forward, Izuku Midoriya. Katsuki clenched his teeth at the vision of the sputtery dorky boy conversing with scouts and journalists, blushing pink and rubbing the back of his head so hard one wondered how he didn’t have a bald spot. Ochako would scamper over and hug his arm and introduce herself as his girlfriend. When did she change to green hairpins? They matched shitty Deku’s shitty grass-colored hair. As his conscious delved deep into infuriating daydreams, his pace became thunderous; his stomps resounded in the now empty hallways, echoing like those of a giant on the hunt. Distantly, he could hear Eijirou running and calling his name, but he ignored him like one would a fly.
You already have her. No way am I letting you have the glory, too, Deku!
“Oh! Hello, Kacchan.”
Katsuki stood in the threshold of the locker room door he had just flung open, red-faced and panting. Without even realizing it, he had maniacally stomped to the gym’s locker rooms. The rest of the team were giving him confused side-eyes, and that green-haired dork had greeted him cheerfully like he always did. Eijirou meekly asked Katsuki to step aside so he could enter, and Katsuki did so, robotically. His red eyes fixated on the fidgeting boy rummaging through his locker; Izuku currently was not paying attention. He always could sense Katsuki’s glares, though, and soon enough, his eyes slid to the blonde boy still hulking in the doorway.
Izuku smiled half-heartedly with that stupid nervous giggle that made Katsuki’s blood boil. “You, um, look a little out of breath. Did you run here? Practice doesn’t start for another five minutes, so there was no need to rush…” He trailed off with a slight yelp as Katsuki kicked over the metal bench in front of him, knocking Izuku’s sports bottle of Gatorade onto the floor. It was a pity the cap was closed, because Katsuki would have relished watching the boy scramble around trying to towel up the blue liquid from the tile.
“Bakugo! That’s no way to treat school property!” Tenya Iida, the team’s point guard and also Class 1-A’s representative, reprimanded him. He shoved his glasses up the bridge of his nose and then crossed his arms, mouth opening to scold the grumpy boy some more.
“Shut the fuck up, Four-Eyes. I’m not in the mood,” Katsuki snarled and intentionally charged his shoulder into the thick of Tenya’s arm as he passed. Tenya stammered out something along the lines of “Why I never-!” but Katsuki drowned him out by flinging the door of his locker open. A sharp clang of metal meeting metal cracked through the room like a snapping whip.
“Eijirou, what’s his problem?” Mezo Shoji, the team’s center, sighed as he bent over to right the up-ended bench. Izuku was staring at Katsuki worriedly; he could tell by the way the hairs on the backs of his neck were prickling. That nerd. That nerd is my problem, he wanted to scream, though he knew it wasn’t right. It wasn’t Izuku’s fault that Ochako loved him instead of Katsuki, and it wasn’t Izuku’s fault that Katsuki had gone and fallen head-over-heels in love with the girl anyway. He felt a cough crawling up his throat, so he discreetly unwrapped another one of the lozenges and popped it into his mouth. The cherry numbness chased the cough back down to the depths of his infested lungs, where it would wait to rear its ugly head again. In the background, Eijirou was explaining that he had no idea what had Katsuki in such a mood.
Katsuki silently fumed with self-loathing as he changed into his practice clothes. He could feel the team’s concerned eyes boring into him all the while. He focused his nervous energy into rolling the cherry tablet over his tongue. Once he had tied the laces of his sneakers, he stalked out of the locker room without a word.
Inside the gymnasium, he fell into some pre-practice stretches, regardless of the fact they would conduct them as a team. As he sank into a lunge, he glanced across the gym to find that the cheerleaders were hauling out their rubber tumbling mats. The team’s captain, Momo Yaoyaorozu, was zealously directing the operation. Katsuki’s eyes shifted to the girl beside her, and the cough came springing back up his trachea again.
Ochako’s cheeks were flushed, and she was wiping sweat from her brow, smiling as she chatted with Momo. The cheerleading uniform fit the curvature of her body so snugly, with just the faintest stripe of her midriff showing under the hem of the fabric. The striped knee socks hugged her a little too well, as the soft flesh of her thighs bulged slightly over the tops. Katsuki instantly tore his face away from the scene as indecent thoughts threatened to bloom in his mind. Godammit, he thought as he cleared his throat, attempting to force the cough back down again. Yet his eyes could not help but trail back to the gorgeous girl. His face flushed dark red when she realized she was staring directly at him.
“Good afternoon, Katsuki!” she called with a cheerful wave. “I hope that practice goes well.” Katsuki ignored her and refocused his attention to his stretching. He had been in the lunge for about a minute now, and his calves were burning. Wincing, he eased himself up and started stretching his arm muscles instead. Ochako was gazing at him expectantly, waiting for an answer.
“It always goes well,” he huffed haughtily back at her. “Just focus on your flips and tricks, Round Face.” She had learned not to take most of his insults seriously, so she just giggled and nodded. It was such a simple gesture, but it felt to Katsuki like she had thrust a dagger into his sternum. Searing hot pain spiked in the middle of his chest, and he doubled over as he felt that eerie sensation of something crawling up his throat.
“No…!” he gasped out, compulsively swallowing while clenching the cherry lozenge in his teeth. It did little good. Just as his teammates were strolling in to join him on the court, a petal popped onto his tongue. Izuku addressed him, but Katsuki sprinted to the large garbage can by the bleachers, burying the petal under mounds and mounds of trash. He jumped violently as Fumikage, one of the alternates, asked from behind him, “What are you doing?”
“None of your fucking business!” he snapped at the raven-haired boy. Fumikage narrowed his red eyes at the volatile Katsuki but cared not enough to nag. He just shrugged and went on his way. Running his palms up and down his arms to smooth the goosebumps and raised hairs, he tried to forget about the flower petals and focus on practice. That sickly-sweet flavor of cherry remained on his tongue with the melting lozenge.
His worries really did melt away on the court. Playing basketball, Katsuki felt immersed in his element. Driving the ball up the court felt as natural as breathing. The Hanahaki dissolved in the haze of adrenaline and hyper-focus, drowned out by the pure desire to play. For the first time that day, a genuine smile alighted his face, a determined grin that carried all the euphoria and delight of the game. Thirty-seven minutes exactly of nothing but his love, his blood, his essence…
Then came minute number thirty-eight.
Katsuki grunted as Tenya slammed into him, attempting to stop the blond’s slam dunk. The taller boy’s brawn packed a punch, and it would have been a blatant foul. Katsuki crashed onto the court floor with a loud whump!, and the back of his skull cracked against the ceramic-overlain concrete. His vision whirled before him as he reeled in the swimming sensation. His chest was heaving as he hyperventilated from the shock, but it felt like no air filled his lungs. Katsuki came to the terrifying realization that he very much couldn’t breathe, and his hands instantly flew to his throat. He made to scream, but only a choked gargle came out. Is it a flower? Am I choking on a fucking flower? But how? I wasn’t thinking about her! I didn’t look at Ochako at all!
Thinking about the girl made things worse, and then, of course, she had to go and appear in his line of sight. She was calling his name, kneeling over him with those bright big worried brown eyes.
“He’s turning blue! He’s choking!” she sobbed to Izuku as he knelt beside her. Katsuki growled on reflex; well, it was meant to be a snarl, but it came out as another one of those bubbling gurgles.
“On what, though?!” Izuku cried hysterically. Ochako buried her face into her hands with a terrified wail.
“I gave him some cherry lozenges right before practice started because he had a little cough! I was just… I was just worried, you know… E-ever since… Oh, I just got worried!” she fretted. Katsuki’s limbs had begun to grow heavy, like his bones were filled with lead. With another agonized groan, his head sunk to rest against the painted ballcourt. A fog had descended over his mind, white and thick, and he could only coalesce with one single repeating thought.
Don’t cry, Ochako… Don’t cry….
Then he was sitting up, Tenya’s thick arms around his middle with his thumbs jabbing into his sternum. Katsuki lurched forward with a wracking cough, and the cherry lozenge rocketed out of his mouth. It sailed about a yard before crashing into the smooth floor and shattering into several pieces. As Tenya’s grip loosened, Katsuki leaned over, sputtering and hacking and praying that no petals came up in the process. He was still a little delirious, and without knowing it, he was whispering that echoing plea. “Don’t c-cry… D-don’t… ‘Chako…” he gasped between heaving breaths. After about the sixth time, he realized he was actually saying it aloud and looked up at her wildly.
Her typically bouncy caramel hair was wispy about her face from her teasing her hands through it. Her eyes were wide and watery as she gawked at him, with her bottom lip trembling precariously from her holding back sobs. Katsuki flushed, but realized there was no going back, so he attempted to save face. “Don’t cry, stupid. It’s my own damn fault for having one of those things in my mouth during practice. I should’ve known better,” he muttered and wiped the red-tinted drool from the corner of his mouth. Ochako gulped thickly before nodding.
“You’re damn right, dude!” Eijirou suddenly interrupted. Katsuki glared seditiously at him out of the corners of his blood-injected eyes. “What woulda happened if none of us knew the Heimlich, dude?” Katsuki wanted to reply with a barbed retort, but he knew by Eijirou’s pale face and alarmed expression that he was scolding him only because he was worried. Self-conscious and embarrassed at being the centerpiece of such drama, Katsuki drew his legs to his chest and slung an arm over his knees.
“Sorry. Won’t happen again.” It wasn’t often that Katsuki was forthcoming with apologies, so Eijirou’s body sagged, and he just stared at him with shaking eyes.
“Kacchan? Are you sure you’re okay? Ochako says you’re already sick, and you just hit your head really hard… Maybe you should sit out the rest of practice,” Izuku offered helpfully. Every nerve in his body pulsed at once with unbridled anger. Snorting, Katsuki jumped to his feet and glared thunderously down at him. The effectiveness of the angry gesture was undermined by the wobble that gripped his body. The back of his skull flared up with a savage ache, and for a moment, the world seemed to shift. Grimacing, he shuffled his footing and held his forehead, but did not attempt to follow the green-haired boy’s advice.
“Don’t patronize me, Deku. I’m fucking fine. And you-” he snarled and turned his attention to Tenya, “Watch your fucking fouls.” He then shoved his way out of the circle of players and cheerleaders that had surrounded him. “Let’s fucking get on with it already! I ain’t gonna be responsible for us fucking up our first game, ya hear?!” he barked over his shoulder. Reluctantly, the crowd dispersed back to their respective practice zones, but Katsuki did not miss the small moment Ochako hesitated and stared worriedly at him. He coughed into his fist and turned away, but that image of the pure, sweet girl burned in his mind every time he blinked.
~~~~~~~~~~
The rest of the practice didn’t go much better. Katsuki was abhorred to find that he was out of breath after the last twenty-odd minutes of practice. He was never out of breath, not to that degree. Back inside the locker room, he was hunched over on the metal bench with a damp towel slung over his heated shoulders, cursing every wheezing breath that passed through his teeth. His head was pounding, both with exertion and the trauma, and that just made him all the more irritable. This sucks! This fucking sucks! You mean to tell me that it’s day one and I’m already feeling the effects? Fuck me. I just need to last the season. One season, a ticket to the Winter Cup, and I can die in peace. Not until then!
“Kacchan…?”
Katsuki looked up with a scowl as Izuku hesitantly squeaked his name. “I noticed you drank all your water,” he frowned. Indeed, Katsuki had guzzled the entire bottle in three seconds after coming off the court- another rarity. Katsuki’s gaze dropped to Izuku’s hand, which was offering a fresh bottle of water to him. It was cold, too, its plastic surface dripping with condensation. Izuku had obviously bought it from the vending machine. “You’re our captain. You need to take care of yourself.”
Katsuki smacked his hand away, and Izuku flinched.
“I don’t need your fucking charity, Deku,” he growled, jumping to his feet and grabbing him by the front of his workout tee. Izuku yelped and dropped the bottle, grabbing his wrist with both hands. His green eyes were wide and shaking… just like Ochako’s had been, as she stared at him with worry. The glass of Katsuki’s mind cracked, letting mania spill forth. “Stop looking at me like that! Stop looking at me with pity! All of you! I’m fine! I’m fine! I’m fine!” His voice cracked with the final insistence. Izuku still had his grip tight around Katsuki’s wrist, and his green eyes swam with fear.
“Kacchan, I… No one said you weren’t,” he whispered. Katsuki realized the gravity of what had just tumbled out of his mouth and dropped Izuku, whom he had lifted off the floor in his ire. Izuku fumbled as he suddenly landed on the flats of his feet, and then looked at Katsuki like a wild animal he had been locked in a cage with. Fear and confusion disfigured his expression, and Katsuki suddenly fathomed that it must have been the same expression he was wearing in that bathroom stall. It felt awful, terrible, god-awful- and Izuku didn’t deserve to feel like that. He really didn’t.
“I’m sorry,” he choked out, his throat lodged with both pride and shame. Izuku’s eyebrows knitted with wonder. Of course he was amazed; it was the second time in half an hour that Katsuki had apologized. Katsuki bent down to pluck the water bottle off the floor, flipping it his hand before studying it. It’s not Deku’s fault. It’s mine.
It was just so easy to take it out on him. Izuku had been Katsuki’s rival in basketball since they were children; Katsuki already viewed him as a threat. Throwing in the fact that Katsuki was now in love with Izuku’s girlfriend made their relationship as explosive as a Molotov. Deep, deep down, though, Katsuki knew it wasn’t right. It wasn’t right to take out his shitty situation on Izuku. It’s my own damn fault, and I need to own that.
“Thanks,” he huffed to the boy before pushing past him. Izuku was left rooted to the spot, mouth agape. The other players watched in confusion and awe as he walked bare-chested out of the locker room while popping the water bottle open and draining it halfway. “Getting some air,” he quipped to them before slipping out of the door-
and bumping right into Ochako.
The water gushed out of his mouth and nose as he choked on it. Ochako yelped as he all but spit all over her. “Fuck- shit, Ochako, I- Goddamit,” he babbled and wrenched the towel off his shoulders to wipe her face, thinking she would be infuriated at him. The fluffy cloth smothered her squeaking replies until she pushed his hand away, and he blinked when she began laughing heartily.
“Katsuki, it’s okay. It was an accident- and kinda funny,” she laughed. His hand slowly fell to his side, clutching the damp towel tightly as he just stared at her. One wouldn’t call her the epitome of beauty at the moment- wet, messy hair tied up in a clumsy bun, body red and glistening with perspiration, apple-scented perfume turned acrid by the odor of sweat- but to Katsuki she looked like the sexiest goddess there was. A pink blush began creeping up his neck as she smiled brightly at him. “Did those throat lozenges help?”
It took him a moment to register that she had even asked him a question.
“Oh, uh, yeah. ‘preciate it,” he muttered after several seconds too long. Ochako blinked curiously at him, then reached up to ruffle his sweaty ash-blond hair. “What the fuck? Ochako! I’m all sweaty and gross!” he protested and shoved her hand away.
“Hehe, it’s okay! Me too!” she giggled before giving him a warm smile. “Please take care of yourself, Katsuki. The team needs you to lead them, you know. It’s okay to take a moment to recover so that you’re there when they need you. Izuku is your co-captain! You should trust him to take up the mantle when you need a break.” Katsuki was caught between admitting the fact and stubbornly insisting Izuku couldn’t do shit. He elected just to nod. Ochako thankfully took that as a confirmation, and she smiled harder, her brown eyes scrunching up with pure contentment. “That’s what I wanna hear!”
“Ah! Sorry, Ochako! Did I keep you waiting long?” Izuku gasped as he stumbled out of the door behind Katsuki. The idiot hadn’t even tied his laces; he was in such a rush to join her. It left a sour taste in Katsuki’s mouth, seeing him so bungling and clingy. Ochako snickered and pointed at Izuku’s signature red sneakers. Like hairpins, like cherry lozenges, like blood, coughing up blood- Katsuki covered his mouth as the prickling at the back of his throat returned; meanwhile, Izuku laughed good-naturedly and bent down to tie his laces. Fucking simp. But Katsuki was jealous, oh so jealous, that Izuku was even in the position to be doted on by Ochako. He was too self-absorbed to even listen to what they were talking about, but they looked too fucking happy doing it.
“-Katsuki? Katsuki!” He jumped at Ochako calling his name.
“Wh-what?” The blush climbed higher, as both of them were staring at him expectantly.
“I said, do you wanna walk home together? We can wait.”
“Er, no,” he refused, and awkwardly looked away. He couldn’t help the cough that sneaked out, and he cursed himself. “Just go on without me.”
“Okay, if you’re sure,” she frowned, then smiled. “But wait. Lemme give you some more cherry lozenges,” she said, and before he could reject her offer, she was already digging in her bookbag for them. That tacky little Saturn charm glinted in Katsuki’s red eyes as it swung back and forth. “Here we go!” she sighed contentedly and grabbed his hand to dump several of the wrapped candy-medicines in his palm. She closed his fingers over them, and he looked at her, hoping his heartbreak wasn’t showing on his face. “Get well soon!” she said while patting his fingers.
Then she was interlocking her fingers with Izuku’s, beaming brighter than the sun above. As he watched them, strolling down the hallway and looking like a couple graced by Aphrodite herself, Katsuki could feel the sun of his life setting already. He clenched the medicines in his hand, feeling a few of them crack under the pressure.
“‘Get well soon,’” he snorted with a piteous smile. “If she only fuckin’ knew.”
