Happy Wednesday it’s time for me to update on how much I’ve been traumatizing one of our favorite couples (hint: a lot) in ‘not strong enough’ as is tradition!!

TK kneels on the ground retching and coughing into his arm.

“That’s it. Let it all out.” Carlos says from behind, hand on his left shoulder and squeezing gently.

Fuck you. He thinks, instead saying “I’m fine.”

They’re alone in the gym now, any stragglers for the day have long since gone home to their happy lives and family. It’s what TK enjoys most about going to the gym so late at night. By the time he’s decided to acknowledge his feelings and work himself exhausted to the bone and deal with them, nobody is around to see.

And then there’s Carlos.

The hand on TK’s shoulder squeezes again and moves away, brushing fingertips slightly as it leaves. He refuses to look at it. In fact, he wants to fling it away. He doesn’t deserve kindness from anyone after everything he’s done in life and he’s tried so hard to get that message through to Carlos but he just won’t listen.

Part of the reason he’s so exhausted is because he just wants to give up and float away. Leave this life behind and go on to whatever else is after. He can’t do that if he has strings attached. And Carlos Reyes is the biggest string there is right now.

At least he thinks so. After the disastrous date, maybe that isn’t the case.

Carlos moves back to the center of the ring and raises his hands, now strapped to the padding again. He claps them together twice to get TK’s focus again.

It works and TK stands, wiping his mouth on his sleeve. Carlos smiles and TK has to resist kissing him. Instead he crouches low and goes in for a punch. Carlos blocks it with the padding. TK swings again, another block.

They continue their dance.

time for some repeating song lyrics everybody! after absolutely scrutinizing the archer and not strong enough i've decided they're both each songs equivalent

you can see Ei's and Focalor's hands right there which now i'd like to share the headcanon that Archons have painted nails alongside their glowing hair, which can back up potential future fanarts of Scara having black/dark purple nails. i was debating on Nahida or Ei for the hand cupping Scara's face, went with Ei because i made Scara's eyes purple with a swirl of cyan and it'd match with Ei's painted nails, totally not some form of symbolism in his eyes or anything lol.
