Can I request a Grey x Reader where reader was another soul trapped in the game, Who helps Grey to escape? (The reader would be the same age as Grey obv-)

As it turns out, Grey wasn't the only one trapped in this bootleg hell with a bootleg Hypno.

There was you: another innocent kid who got their soul shoved into this game and turned into the "rival".

For some reason the creators gave you a Pokémon at the start: a single Porygon that was stuck between their first and second evolution. The Pokedex simply called them "Pory?gon1.5". They were a mix of round and geometric shapes, but you loved them regardless.

The same couldn't exactly be said for Grey's Hypno, called "Shinto", who was a mischevious little lass who could turn into a more nightmarish form if angered.

Besides that, she was a relatively friendly creature who hung around him all the time. You rarely saw the two apart.

Instead of playing the role as rivals, you became friends with Grey, seeing no point in battling or doing any of the typical stuff in legitimate Pokémon games.

There’s no gyms to conquer, no champion to defeat..and no other Pokémon to catch either.

Why fight when you could work on getting the hell out of here?

Pory?gon1.5 may be the key, considering their kind can transcend cyberspace. Given everyone’s self-awareness, maybe they could look into this world's code and break it to give you both an exit.

But the problem is that they're stuck between evolutions. They didn’t have the capability of learning complex information on their own yet, and the only way they could do so is by using an Up-Grade to finish the evolution and make them a more legitimate Porygon2.

The other problem?

No such item seemed to exist in this game. You’ve search the local technical institute, hoping someone dropped it there or left blueprints. But to no avail.

Even if you did have one on you, it required you trading for someone else’s Pokémon.

And unfortunately the only other one in this entire game fled Grey’s house some time ago.

Shinto gave you no warning and simply ran off. She might’ve overheard you two talking about temporary trading and got spooked by the thought. Of course, it’s understandable given her reaction to being captured in a pokeball...but neither of you knew where she could be or if she'll ever return.

At that point, Grey had given up all hope of leaving this place, as he resigned to sulking on the bed, head resting on his knees.

You, on the other hand, were sitting at his desk with Pory?gon1.5 on the table. They repeatedly tapped their beak against the computer screen in a fruitless attempt to boot up the trading system.

"Tell your Porygon to stop trying. It’s hopeless...” He mumbled in despair.

“I don’t think it is..not yet at least,” you tried staying optimistic. “I'm sure Shinto will be back. Is it unusual for her to suddenly leave?"

“..I dunno. She's unpredictable.” Looking up at you, he frowned deeply, the shadow over his eyes darker than ever. "I feel like we're her prisoners sometimes..she seems to know so much. H-How does she know when we cheat? Is she one of them in disguise?"

You shrugged your shoulders.

“The way I see it...she's just as much of a prisoner as us. Only difference is that you and I had a life before this. This is probably he only life she’s ever known. Maybe she's just..scared that-”

“Are you seriously trying to justify why she’s keeping us here?" His eyebrows furrowed. "She tried to kill me!! Remember??! The only one who should be scared here is-!!"

Grey suddenly stopped himself, seeing you and the Porygon now staring at him.

His previously tense shoulders slumped in defeat.

Yelling wasn't going to make a difference...why waste his energy?

You frowned slightly. "Grey.."

“...I-I’m sorry. I just..” He rubbed his eyes, trying to push back the frustrated tears that wanted to escape.

“I-I’m so tired of this. Of having even a little bit of hope...and then losing it."

Deciding to get up, you walked over to the bed and sat beside him. He sighed tiredly, leaning his head on your shoulder.

“..did we do something wrong, [y/n]?” His voice sounded so defeated, so exhausted.

“Nothing that I know of, bud." You put an arm around him in comfort, looking to Pory?gon1.5--who somehow managed to get the computer online.

"Oh good job-!"

At that same time, both of you heard heavy footsteps and looked to see Shinto run into the room..

In her other form.

Grey immediately shrieked in terror and hugged you tightly on instinct. “S-STOP DOING THAT!!!”

“Right in my ear, dude...” You grumbled quietly, annoyed at his screaming, but you just calmly looked at Shinto.

Her glowing white pupils were unnerving, though you were more intrigued by what she carried in her hand.

“Is that..?”

Her nodding and distorted cries gave confirmation that it was the item you thought didn’t exist in this game..

An Up-Grade.

Your eyes lit up. “Grey, look! She found us an Up-Grade!”

“H-Huh..? Oh..wow..” He blinked a few times in disbelief, but sure enough, the faux Hypno brought back the exact thing you needed.

Then he let go of you, coughing awkwardly and forcing a smile. “S-So uh..you’re..not opposed to the idea of trading?”

Shaking her head, she gave you the Up-Grade. You checked it out and saw it was in near-perfect condition. After thanking her, you got up and went to give it to Pory?gon1.5, who emitted digital chirps of excitement.

But Grey was confused at Shinto's sudden change of heart, looking back to see her as her smaller self.

“I don’t understand. You...wanna help us? I thought you didn’t want us to leave..”

She was still for a moment, before reaching over to tap the screen of his Pokedex. It glitched to show her stats, but instead of a description, it revealed a message instead:

“Shinto sees friends r sad...can’t play when friends sad!!! :(((( So hope this makes friends happi again :))) Even if she has to be lonely, it OK. Shinto had lotz of fun!! Shinto forgive U for cheating btw”

“.......”

He didn’t know why his vision was suddenly growing warm and blurry.

“Okay. We should be good to go--Grey..?”

You turned back around, only to see the heartwarming sight of your friend hugging Shinto, thanking her. Although his face was hidden, you could hear how choked up he sounded, remarking how he didn’t think he’d get this emotional about her.

But you just stayed quiet, smiling softly. Your Porygon nudged your side, and you chuckled, hugging them with one arm. “Thanks, buddy. We’ll get you evolved soon.”

Once you returned them to their pokeball, you looked at Grey as he let go of Shinto, wondering if she’ll go into one willingly this time around.

He was especially terrified, holding the red and white ball with a shaky hand.

“Sh-Shinto..please don’t..destroy the world or whatever the hell you did-”

Without any hesitance, she booped her nose against the button, going inside it immediately.

He stared down at it, shocked, but hearing you clearing your throat made him turn to face you. “Oh! Right. Sorry..let’s do this.”

You grinned in eagerness, seeing that hopeful light returning to his eyes as a smile showed up on his face.

Finally, it was time for both of you to be free.

So are Nidoran male and female considered separate pokemon in Peach's universe or they the same pokemon? Or did Oak just fuck up their pokedex entries so bad that an entire generation of children think they're separate?

They're the same species, as are nidoqueen and nidoking, and their middle evos obvs. You can call them whatever you like, genetically they are the male/female counterparts of the same species.

Peacocks are a great example that springs to mind, of a species that looks SO different based on gender. Going off that, they are the same. The dex however is very wrong in calling them different things, but right in a way to point out just how different they work.

I can however let it slide because they do have fundamental differenced in how they behave and act, so giving them adequate dex space to express this is somewhat wise. At least they're trying to inform people about some stuff.

not to volopost again. but thinking abt how the only two people he ever confessed to (besides the protag obvs lmao), as far as we know, are laventon and presumably cogita.

and like his main reason for telling laventon of all ppl is because he knew a. that the protag is already close to laventon. and b. hes the least likely member of the galaxy team that would just sentence him to execution on the spot, lets be honest. only person who could pass on a message to the protag w/o squealing.

and the fact that his message to the player is basically to wish them luck w the pokedex and say hes still interested in its completion bc he could never say it to the protags face after. all that.

and then him likely choosing to confess to cogita, despite her feelings towards him, likely bc he feels she deserves to know. be it bc of some unknown family tie or bc shes the only other celestican left (or both). like even after all the insults she hurls at him, he still calls her mistress and still feels like she deserves to know what went down at spear pillar. that despite everything, he still has some kind of care or concern for her that cogita absolutely does not reciprocate, and maybe hasnt in a while. it hurts so much man.

Pokémon Teams for the ranchers:

My wall was full of Pokémon stuff so you know what that means- lmfaoooo. This was gonna be something quick but I had to go full detail lmfao.

Jimmy team:

Altaria (Shiny): Primarily because the shiny version is yellow like a canary and I always am bias for floofy wings Jimmy. Also canonically the pokedexes are like they sing so well that anyone who listens to them experiences dreamy wonderment. Also I want Jimmy to be able to hug what is pretty much a bird cloud pillow. Moves I would presume his Altaria would have is Perish Song (a move that makes any Pokémon in play faints in three turns) you know like THREE lives, Sing (a move that puts a target to sleep if it hits) primarily because canary singing in a coal mine etc, Play Rough (Deals damage and has a 10% chance of lowering target attack) primarily because that’s how Jimmy acts when he gets antagonized canonically lol. And his final move for his Altaria would be Will O Wisp (A attack that causes the target to become burned) because ya know coal equals fire.

Absol: look it’s literally called the disaster pokemon. It used to be known as the cause of said disasters but now recently it’s now trying to warn others of said disasters. Literally the most misunderstood Pokémon and it has so much in common with Jimmy. The moves I imagined his Absol has is: Future sight (deals damage, but does not hit until two turns after the move is used.) again eventual chaos in like 3 turns, Curse (raises non ghost Pokémon attack and lowers their speed) obviously because Jimmy is cursed in fanon, Double edge (Pretty much a move that deals damage but the Pokémon that used the move will lose 1/3 health) pretty much how Jimmy does pvp he will always hurt himself, Sucker punch (Attack that deals damage) look Jimmy has vibes if he was fighting someone he would use his manly fists.

Mudsdale(Shiny) : Look it’s the a horse that go do mud and sand attacks. And completely vibes with the Mesa as the shiny one matches the color scheme. (also I want Tango and Jimmy to be able to ride horse Pokémon together sue me). The moves the Pokémon has will be High Horsepower (attacks the target with their whole body) Look it’s one of the strongest attacks with literal horse in its name, Hyper Beam (A move that deals damage but the user needs to recharge) look this is one of the moves not isn’t like a grass type that is sorta like a gun. Mud Slap (a move that deals damage and makes the target lose accuracy), not only is it like throwing sand in someone face but also again gun fight energy. Roar (causes the Pokémon to flee if they are lower level etc) I won’t lie I chose this one because Jimmy is a loud mouth /Aff

Quagsire: Legit a easy going kinda dumb water and ground Pokémon. One of the most Himbo pokemon. Move set will be Water Gun (just does damage) I chose this because GUN. Muddy Water (damage and 30% chance of lowering accuracy) obv I chose this because swamp is muddy water. Dig (goes under ground) just cause MINE out of MINECRAFT, and finally Surf becayse Jimmy deserves to ride on his pal in the Oceon etc.

Leafeon: Literally not only does Jimmy have one of the cutest grass types but canonically Leafeons are sweethearts and don’t like to hurt other Pokémon (I’m bias tho because they are my fav eevee evolution). Moves the Leafeon would have: Charm (lowers target attack) and because canonically Jimmy flirts with so many men. Giga Drain (Drain the target hp) COUGH last life COUGH. Razor Leef (deals damage) gun but grass with crit hits more common. Leaf Blade (deals damage) Grass sword. Enough said.

Banette: Literally because of the toy Jimmy lore. Also the Pokédex is pretty much a abandoned doll gets pissed and evil which suits possessed doll Jimmy lore. The moves the Banette would have would be- confuse Ray (attack that causes confusion) clearly because Jimmy is always confused. Skill swap (move that like copies the target move) primarily because Jimmy def learns from others. Shadow claw (offense attack) refs the void energy of watchers. Helping Hand (boosts the attack of your partner Pokémon in double battles) LIKE YOU COULD SAY SOULMATES.

Tango Team:

Rapidash: LOOK LOOK this was inspired by asks in Hybbat box. Also canonically the fire doesn’t hurt the people they trust. So trainers could ride. Also bias because I want Jimmy and him to ride Pokémon horses together. The Rapidash moves would be is- Ember (attack that can burn) look it’s just adorable to have tiny sparks because netherborn lore. Flame Blitz (Attack that burn but also harms the Rapidash) YOU could say attacking one self could be Tango rage. Charm (lowers attack) Look Tango knows how to charm. Iron Tail (damage and might lower defense) because I feel like Tango would whack people with his tail therefore bam.

Luxray: LOOK HIS WHOLE FANON GIVES ME SUCH LUXRAY VIBES. Plus he is cat energy and Luxray is just a electric lion. Bite (damage and flinch) LOOK tango has Teef and probs does bite people. Spark (damage and maybe paralysis) because I always feel that tango machines spark way too much. Crunch (Damage) again tango got them Teef. Wild charge (damage but recoil) More Tango Rage Energy.

Metagross: primarily because canonically it’s just a living super computer and I feel like most redstoners would have one of them in their team. But it’s hilarious for tiny tango to ride on his Goliath of a Pokémon. The moves the Metagross would have will be- Metal Claw (damage and can raise attack) again fire cat energy tango has. Take Down (damage and has recoil) again rage tango vibes. Stealth Rock (move that throws hidden rocks around) because Tango likes his traps. And finally Psych Up (copies target stat changes) solely because Tango is such a hype man.

Alolan Ninetales: This is because Ninetales are foxes and foxes are cat like. I chose the Alolan version because of the Deep Dark Citadel skin tango has currently. That’s primarily ice based. And a Alolan Ninetales is also like magical. The moves would be- Nasty Plot (raise special attack) because Dungeon master Tango gives very much evil game master vibes. Ice Fang (damage that can freeze) again tango has Teef but ice flavored now. Blizzard (damage and can freeze) The deep frost citadel got have gotten covered in snow someway. And finally Dark Pulse (damage and flinch) Because Shulk and bad magics vibes.

Golurk: GOLURK IS PRETTY MUCH THE WARDEN! Enough said. The moves the Golurk would have would be- Nightshade (attack equals your level) because a warden is a boss mob so it deserves to be broken. Heavy slam (more damage the heavier the Pokémon) because wardens are big boys that are hecka scary. Shadow Ball (damage and lowers special attack) THIS IS PRETTY MUCH HOW THE WARDEN ATTACKS. And finally Iron Defense (raises defense) because wardens are so hard to kill.

Coalossal: now this Pokémon is literally coal and coal is the best metaphor for redstone. So all redstoners have a Coalossal or a pre evolution version. Plus all the coal mine and the canary fanon. The moves would be Tar shot (lowers speed and makes the target weaker to fire moves) this relates to Coal Mine Fanon. Smokescreen (lowers accuracy) coal mine smoke etc. Explosion (high damage but causes the user to faint) Tango rage again. And finally Incinerate (damage and burns berries) Tango full fire rage energy.

i just finished the story of pokemon scarlet.... bro that last chapter is no joke........ i’m in shambles....

it feels very conflicting though because on one hand i don’t think a pokemon game has made me feel this way since black/white and that is saying a LOT, black was one of my first pokemon games that i played during summer break as a 14 year old and it changed my life. altered the trajectory of my life if you will.

with previous more “recent” titles like sun/moon, oras, sword/shield, of course i got caught up in them and enjoyed them, but i didn’t get super emotionally attached to any characters. lillie is an exception but in comparison to what b/w made me feel, s/m was only like, 60% the way there, and sw/sh would be like 20% (as fun as the game was, it was over fast and i didn’t feel like i was savoring it as much). also i don’t knock on sw/sh for its length, as short as it is, pokemon chiefly is a kids’ video game and usually the bulk of the hours you put in is for completing the dex lol. but yeah, the writing in sw/sh didn’t feel that memorable nor did it have much emotional impact on me.

with scarlet, aside from nemona (lol, but i do like her), the subplots for the rivals really tugged at my heartstrings... i didn’t really care for team star when i started their missions, after all i don’t care about getting LP or extra TMs when my team is already good, but as i continued with it i was like... ah... bonds of friendship is the true power... *tear running down my face*.

AND THEN ARVEN. HOO BOY.

i cannot believe game freak has managed to make me feel for a boy what i did for n. this is saying so much if you know me and how insane i can be about n. game freak said here is a boy you will react to in a way that parallels how you reacted to n a full 10 years ago. both the 🥰 and 😭 emotions. THE ABANDONMENT ISSUES... AND THEN HE’S DEDICATING HIMSELF TO HELPING HIS DOG RECOVER?????!!! i was specifically targeted...

i also lost my childhood dog at the beginning of 2022, who in a way mirrors what mabosstiff is to arven for me... my dog was the only one in the house i could feel understood and loved by while i dealt with childhood trauma. so you know of course that would do me in emotionally T_T

there is also the whole gap moe and kinda grumpy but sincere senpai but he’s relying on you thing that makes me *clenches fist* but that’s besides the point

i was already enjoying myself taking my time with the gyms, team star, titans, exploring everywhere to get pokeballs/items, trying to complete the pokedex, shiny hunting and what not, so the final chapter really took me by surprise since i didn’t fully know what to expect...? i already liked the main cast but i didn’t feel a deep connection to all of them as a group because the subplots are all standalone/focused on each individual character. i did see all my friends sobbing over the last chapter (censored for spoilers obv) but man... they were right... i was surprised by how in-depth the section was. i’d say if you don’t explore too much (which is what i did on foot regrettably, takes 10x longer) the chapter is maybe 3ish hours long? which isn’t super long, but the dialogue sprinkled in really fleshes out the characters and establishes a bond between them that feels incredibly real and believable, even in the context of just a pokemon game. that’s what really took me by surprise.

i’m gonna be honest for the majority of the chapter my mouth was just open and i was like

and that’s even WITH seeing vague spoilers/hints and some screenshots out of context. so i had some vague idea about what was going on but i was STILL surprised by the turn of events and how ... like... everything fit together in a very believable way. and another thing, with most pokemon games all stakes depend on you as the player for whatever plot there is (stopping team aqua/magma, saving the world, stopping some capitalist dude, etc.) but the stakes in scarvio felt so much higher. obviously you know you’re going to save the day etc. but in the midst of it i was like 😳 hello???? bruh?

i joked to a friend last week about this being game freak’s answer to botw (he hasn’t played scarvio) but i’m ngl this takes it beyond what botw did for me... botw’s magic lies in the beauty of its world and fucking around, and maybe some of the npcs (like, yeah, i did get very into the bits of lore and link characterization of it, i won’t downplay that) but i feel like the plot and characters in scarvio are just so... polished? of course the games are different and have different purposes. but it managed to make me experience a hint of the youthful wonder and hope i felt as a 14 year old playing emerald and b/w all day and night long during summer vacation again... it’s that essence that really stands out. IT’S THE FOUND FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE ESSENCE OF YOUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINDING YOUR TREASURE/WHAT YOU CHERISH MOST IN LIFE AND HOLDING ON TO THAT AS YOU FACE THE FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but all this just makes me incredibly sad because you know this game was rushed to hell to meet a deadline. and that’s disrespectful to the amount of love and thought put into this game’s worldbuilding, characters, and story. they deserved the time needed to ship the game in its best form, not the buggy state it’s in. all the fantastic aspects of the game are marred by bugs, glitches, and the fact that the switch is constantly struggling to run the game--my game crashed at least two times, and i feel like that’s lower than others’ experiences (luckily i didn’t lose any significant progress both times, but the fear of the game crashing did hang over me anytime i ran around or even talked to the pokemon center person 😭). even the credits lagged for me and i was like ... this doesn’t ruin the immersion but i’m smiling wryly to myself rn.

i 100% don’t regret buying and playing the game but i do wish i’d been able to buy and play the game in better circumstances... i was vehemently in the “i refuse to buy it right now in the state it’s in and contribute to the message to the pokemon company that this speed of putting out subpar quality games for faster buck is ok” but i caved because i saw my friend playing it (she caved because her boyfriend got it). 😔

pokemon yellow, day 3: vermillion city & collecting the kanto starters

hey look, they added some bullying for me!

what up gay nerds!!

so, yeah, vermillion city actually takes a decent chunk of time since you gotta get the hm for cut from the s.s. anne to get to the gym. and since i'm a completionist, even though i know exactly where to go for that, obviously i pop into every cabin to talk to and/or battle every npc you can.

vermillion city is also where you get your first fishing rod! and you can catch precisely one pokemon with it.

inspiring.

the only other thing in vermillion city that really needs doing is facing lt. surge and his anime-inspired updated avatar and ridiculously overleveled raichu. and i'll just be over here not thinking about being bullied by a raichu, objectively one of the sexiest pokemon ever. yep. just... NOT thinking about that. huh? oh, right, i was in the middle of writing something.

once you've beaten raichu, the officer jenny in vermillion city will gift you a squirtle that she says has been causing trouble in town! i named him leon, after leonardo's nickname in rise of tmnt. (yes, specifically rise of tmnt; in other versions he's usually nicknamed leo.)

i actually should've already picked up bulbasaur & charmander by this point, but i was hella paranoid about whether you could actually get all three starters because that seemed kinda ridiculous to me, so i waited until after i had picked up squirtle just to make sure i could actually complete my pokedex in both yellow & blue. i know, i know, i'm very silly. but, yeah, i went ahead and backtracked to pick up bulbasaur & charmander!

i named bulbasaur pandora (after the planet in avatar, because i'm a loser) and charmander merry (after a dragon moms character who is a red dragon).

in my travels, my oddish evolved!

next up was diglett's cave, and you'll never believe who i ran into there.

and once you're on the other side of that passage, you can use your newly-gained cutting powers to explore all kinds of little nooks & crannies that you saw earlier in the game but were frustratingly unable to access, one of which has another moonstone! so i went ahead and evolved puff puff:

the other main thing you need to do at this point is collect the hm for flash. once you've done that (and taught it to a pokemon, obv), you can head for the rock tunnel, which was my next stop. as i was traveling, leon evolved!

i'm almost running up against tumblr's image limit again, so i'll leave you on the doorstep of the rock tunnel, though i did catch a few more pokemon right outside!

convenient, cuz now i don't gotta evolve rattata! i love it when that happens.

pokemon violet thoughts (there may be spoilers)

i enjoyed it a lot! more than i liked swsh, not as much as sm or usum

as much as i would've liked a quadrupedal final evo for sprigatito, meowscarada is still cute and also op with its flower trick move

i cannot stand quaquaval though. the way it moves is Bad

a lot of the evolutions did feel kinda... phoned in? kinda copy and paste?

like i've seen hundreds of super cool dunsparce evos and what they went for was... dunsparce with segments? i guess that works with the tsuchinoko inspiration but like... really?

i appreciate what they were trying to do with wiglett and toedscool but i do not think they stuck the landing. toedscool in particular seems pretty forced, they would've done better with like a krabby rip off bc crabs are everywhere

a specific gameplay thing that's bothering me is that at the end you get ur miraidon or koraidon as a battling pokemon but! if you want to ride them! they are removed from your battle party!!! infuriating!!! i know there is a 2nd one but listen, i have formed a bond of love with my riding miraidon and THAT is the one i want to battle with

the final chapter was great though, big fan of that final trip with the gang

lemme just say that the real turo was lucky he was already dead bc if he wasn't, i s2g, i would make him regret his life and choices

ok circling back to the pokemon

why can't the paradox pokemon just also be considered alternate versions. why do they get separate pokedex entries.

why is it that arven calls them 'weird machines' when it's like, literally just a weird looking delibird

how is it that a galarian meowth is recognisable as a meowth but you can't see that a metallic delibird is still a fuckin delibird

also: how come the past pokemon get cool names like slither wing and roaring moon, while the future ones are like iron hands and iron moth. why do all future paradox 'mon have 'iron' as their prefix when only ONE of them is steel type

another baffling thing: pkmn scarlet is grabbing pokemon from the past, so why can't we have wyrdeer, basculegion etc

pls help im making pokemon teams for gregory and christophe and i have christophes all worked out, like i have reasoning and everything, but i am so stumped with gregory.

like aegislash obv (represents his swordsmanship and battle prowess also its literally a sword) but then what??.?? what type would he prefer? steel maybe but that would mean i would have to make his team predominantly steel or steel related (cause i made christophes rock and ground related and i want them to match) and i rlly dont wanna go hard on that cause steel pokemon are generally stoic/angry/battle hungry and im trying to match the members of his team with aspects of his personality.

also im trying to have some sort of color cohesion going on, like christophes was easy cause most rock and ground pokemon are guarded/stealthy/strong/good at battle/gumpy and have similar colors that go well together. also one of the team slots was already automatically filled because how could i NOT put excadrill? hes literally a mole who digs a lot, thats his whole personality, all his pokedex entries talk about is how good he is at digging

yes i am aware im putting too much thought into this and it also doesnt matter at all but. anyone got any good gregory suggestions that fit my criteria that i have for some reason

wait rbing that post about hl pokies remnded me i was trying to think of L4D2 team pokies... like...

i REALLY liked the idea of Rochelle having a Smeargle as like... her journalist helper so hes not a fighter and is more moral support and does art for her and maybe she had another team member that she left at home whilst out on the job so shes worried if its doing okay? im not sure but shes def not prepaired Team wise like she is zombie apocalypse shooty wise

Coach obvs has a Machoke/Machamp because football coach! But maybe he also has a Snubbull thats his partner that hes had for a while longer because the idea of him having a funnie lil puppy dawg who can also join in on the sports is rly sweet 🥺 he would spoil that thing rotten

Ellis i was thinking like!! His mom gave him an Eevee when he was rly young and was gonna try going on a Pokemon journey but he ended up becoming his mechanic self instead and picks up a magnemite that likes to hang out around the shop and he has a Pokedex and likes to log as many lil guys as possible considering hes not on an actual journey now...

NICK.... is a tough one... theres lots of good choices for him but hes also stpid hard to choose for but I 100% think he would have a Zoroark somehow, it fits the conman side to a T. I think it would disguise as a Weavile most of the time and be fiercly protective of him... and then he’d also prolly have a Pokemon that evolves with friendship to show hes not ALWAYS an ass and actually cares for his team like all badguys do in the games lmao. maybbeee a Lopunny ? Or a Crobat? something fierce but evolves via friendship yknow...
