Thinking really hard about how easily a Raphael romance could have been added.

Only if you accept his deal and only if you reciprocate all his flirting (because no one can convince me he isn't flirting genuine or not) you can suggest the two of you consummate your newly signed deal and then that is that right?

But then if you decide actually I've made a mistake, the Emperor wins you over, or you decide that Gale deserves the crown more, you break into his House of Hope and discover things between you are not as you thought.

You find he has written about you extensively, in his diaries, in his little stories, he even has your signed contract pride of place in his archive that is filled with centuries worth of treasures. It's flattering at first learning how much he has thought of you, how important you are to his plans but the more you find, that you even haunt his dreams, the bigger the knot of unease grows in your chest.

Your exploration continues until you get your invitation to the boudoir and of course that is a temptation you can't resist. Haarlep greets you and is eager to tell you how Raphael is interested in no one but himself but you know that's not entirely true. Between your night together and everything you have discovered thus far you know. So you tell them, maybe even boasting slightly that perhaps you are the exception but all the reaction you get is a smirk and assurance that being an object of his obsession has always worked out well in the past.

You could heed their veiled, smugly given warning or you could continue on with your mission. In this scenario Haarlep can be convinced to help you without either sleeping with them or killing them. They would gladly give you the key to the safe just to have a front row seat to the showdown between Raphael and his rebellious new pet. You find the pass code for your contract which gives you pause.

His heart's desire? You know it is the crown and the power that will inevitably come with it but that little phrase being used in association with you makes you question more than anything else so far if you are doing the right thing.

And then there is Hope. Maybe you feel sorry for her, maybe you can't squash down that flicker of jealousy but then as you learn more and more about her, why she is there and what he has done, you realise what you are about to do is exactly what earned Hope these years of imprisonment and torment. Deprive him of something he wants desperately. So you have one last chance to make a decision and you better make it quickly.

The master of the house is coming...

I've been seeing alot of the idea that, while you completely forget who you are when you become a dragon there's this idea that your last thoughts become like your core

Zelda wanted to help Link, she is the only dragon completely passive to Link and helps you during the final fight

Ganon wanted to kill Link, and well, boss fight ensues

Been thinking many thoughts about Farosh, Dinraal and Naydra and who became them

Do you think their last thoughts were to protect the land? Did Farosh live right by a lake? Living with a nomadic tribe that changed which shores they lived by as food or seasons moved? Did she ever see the Gerudo? Have trade with them in the tougher months that they spent in the highlands? Did Dinraal live on death mountain or around it? In fertile ground perfect for farming, was she an explorer? A pilgrim? Does her flight path to the forgotten temple mean she saw it in her lifetime? Or is something in her she can't remember her drawing her to the ancient temple? Was Nayra a spiritual person? Spending her time at the goddess touched springs and holy pilgrimage routes, was she born in Hateno and look down at the town tucked at the bottom of her mountain as she prayed? Or was she born further north? Close enough to the Zora to be under their royal laws? To know how sacred and important water was? To see first hand what happens when Hyrules main water source freezes over?

Did living under the Thunderhead Isles bring down an endless thunderstorm on Farosh's lakes? Electrifying the water and killing all the fish

Did the lake basin supplying Hyrules rivers freeze? Was Nayra asked to pray desperately to an unhearing goddess at the frozen mountains peak for salvation, answers, anything at all?

Did death mountain erupt endlessly? Scorching the farming lands and causing widespread famine?

Did these three, who had some power, and a sacred stone, did they make the ultimate sacrifice to save their lands? Immortalizing their last thoughts of protection forever in a dragon watching overhead for eternity?

Red:

This is it. The Panthers crash up against each other and then the boards hard enough to make the glass rattle. The benches empty on both sides. Red crashes into red crashes into red, and Brad watches it happen as if from a distance as his skates take him to the opposite end of the rink. He sags quietly against the boards and breathes in deep. This is it. He thinks again, then clears his throat and spits.

Play:

It is quiet in the locker room between periods. No one is saying it, but this could be it. This could be the last game they play together. No one is saying it, but Brad could have ended it two games ago.

Right:

One by one, Patrice hugs his teammates. Bosek first, then Pasta, then Bertuzzi. A line forms and no one disputes Brad’s right to go last. Krejci steps towards Patrice, and Brad stares blindly as they hug. His eyes feel dry and he blinks. Once. Twice. Patrice brings an arm up to touch Krejci on the shoulder, on the helmet. He shakes his head and they’re talking, but Brad is too far away to make out the words. Probably wouldn’t be able to hear it anyway, over the rush of blood in his ears.

Real:

Bergy offering to- Bergy telling him he could- Brad shakes his head. Shakes himself out of it. When he shrugs back into his suit, the world feels a little less real than it did only a few hours ago.
