I was a bit nervous starting this appreciation week, since this was the first time I've ever hosted one of these, but I was absolutely blown away by the response, and the talent that this fandom has. It was so much fun seeing everybody's creations, and the creative ways some of the prompts were interpreted. The love and adoration for the source material just poured out, and I loved every minute of it.

They’re trying to prove something, thinks the girl on the couch. Trying to find something. She forgets what. It’s hard for focus with all their dancing on the edge of death, all the start-stop-start of their heartbeats.

Hello, anon! You seem to have asked all my favourite Station 19 fans this one, so I hope you're getting a lot of incredible answers.

I am not an active fanfic reader, especially when I'm bogged down with school stuff like I am right now. So! Here are some of my favourite suggestions across a whole bunch of fandoms.

For Station 19 and Marina-related things, some of my favourite authors I've read this last year are:

Be sure to check each of their bookmarks pages, as most of them have a goldmine of other great fics and authors that they themselves have enjoyed. I usually delve in there when I'm looking for a particular vibe related to someones writing style, as most people often read stuff similar to their own in terms of content or syntax or whatever.

2023 Wrapped

Inspired by @novelconcepts (whose writing you should check out!)

I wrote a lot of silly little stories about a silly little cannibal show, and I’m for the most part very proud of my work! Here are some standouts:

like a phantom limb. The WHS Yellowjackets make it to Nationals safe and sound. Unfortunately, they find themselves plagued by nightmares of a forest they’ve never seen, and awful, monstrous things they would never, ever do. They wouldn't; they're not that kind of people. Right?

carrion choir. A deranged Van character study. Featuring dead gods, Ghost Jackie, unreliable narration, and more body horror than you can shake a decayed femur at. Written for @yellowjacketsoctober

my love is as a fever. A sort-of-companion to the above; a Taissa character study all wrapped up in fever dreams and desperate love. Featuring Other Tai because I love her. Written for @taivanweek

lotus. A normal day of soccer practice is interrupted when strangers arrive. The less you know about this one going in, the better (there is a list of content warnings in the end notes, though be aware that they do contain spoilers)

fire in my hands. Food as a metaphor for love and devotion. Tai and Van caring for one another before, during, and after the Wilderness. Written for @harundraws

Also: I got my master’s degree! It took a lot of time and work, but I’m finally on the other side. To anyone who’s still in the thick of their academic careers: you’re going to make it, and it’s going to feel amazing when you’re done.
