We love the San Francisco Bay Area. You love the San Francisco Bay Area. Which is why it’s so hard to see what’s happening here right now. Restaurant workers are being laid off, healthcare professionals are battling on the frontlines, and people who need a hot meal are having a hard time getting one.
But you should also know about all the amazing ways that local restaurants are supporting people in need right now, and how you can support them as well. Chefs and restaurant teams are delivering pizzas to hospitals and seniors, providing free lunches for school kids and first responders, and making to-go kits with things like smoked meat, toothbrushes, and baby food for those who have been laid off or furloughed.
We’ll be using this guide to highlight restaurant initiatives in the Bay Area that are giving back to the local community. And we’ll be updating the list as we learn about more. For additional resources, information, and Infatuation-hosted fundraising projects visit our page here.

The Outer Sunset coffee roastery is encouraging people to buy pastries, coffee, juice, and granola bars online for delivery to healthcare workers around the city. You can order online, and also drop in suggestions for healthcare facilities Andytown should deliver to here.

This Ethiopian spot in Berkeley is offering 25% off takeout orders for all healthcare workers, first responders, and other essential workers. Call 510-430-2717 to order for pick-up between 5-8pm, Monday through Saturday.
Pasta Bene $$$$ 2565 Telegraph Ave
Berkeley’s Pasta Bene is offering 20% off all orders (including catering) for healthcare workers. Pasta specials are also available for lunch and dinner. You can call 510-845-2363 or go online to order.
Spin A Yarn Restaurant $$$$ 45915 Warm Springs Blvd
The Fremont steakhouse is raising funds to provide free meals to local healthcare workers through May 31. Check out their GoFundMe for the latest updates.
Sunrise Bistro $$$$ 1559 Botelho Dr
The Walnut Creek-based restaurant is delivering fresh, healthy meals to first responders, health care professionals, and those working on the frontlines. This Italian restaurant in Redwood City is working with Waste No Food to donate meals to healthcare workers at local hospitals.
Red's House $$$$ 25 Washington St.
The Caribbean restaurant and pop-up is offering free meals to service workers and members of the community who have been severely impacted. Red’s is also accepting donations to support the effort.

Working in partnership with two other Mill Valley spots - Shoreline Coffee Shop and Boot Jack Tavern - and Feed the Frontlines Marin. Together they’re raising money to provide meal delivery to hospital workers and those on the frontlines.
