the thing about the "i need riz gukgak to come out as aroace thing" (i agree btw) is that more than anything, I want to know exactly how Riz phrases and conceptualises his own aro-ness. I don't think it would be authentic to his character to say like "i am aromantic and that means this" bc the whole point is that he is desperately repressing it and refusing to introspect.

So, in the event of his having to explain to his friends what "awkward conversations" he wanted to avoid, i wanna know how he'd phrase "romantic relationships aren't a concept i can get behind". Does he still consider it a yet? does he think all his friends are the weird ones and he's normal? now that most of his friends' relationships are over, does he still have that same sense of direct comparison? what does HE think he's hiding? Especially now that his friends weren't even really listening when he was desperately trying to tell them he was lying.

a teenager making up a relationship, outside of being aro, is a fundamentally fairly normal insecure thing to do. but Riz recognises that he didn't do it out of jealousy or wanting to be cool. He did it out of fear. and how will he explain that fear to his friends, when it comes down to it?
