i definitely think clarke is an example of a villain protagonist, and fandom’s need to see her as a hero is due to the need to see protagonists as heroes. my only stipulation is that i do think fandom is capable of acknowledging that certain protagonists are villains, but only under certain conditions. like fandom can only acknowledge a character is a villain if the story really really really explicitly frames them that way. like people are willing to acknowledge that characters like (1/2)

(a few of these seem to have been lost to this hellsite’s void, sorry :/)

walter white, don draper, tony soprano, dexter morgan, the “it’s always sunny in philadelphia” protagonists ect are horrible evil people. (although even with them, there stans who engage in ridiculous apologism, ie the “walter white did nothing wrong” crowd, but i do feel like most of the audience gets that these characters are evil? maybe i’m being to optimistic, or maybe it’s just because i avoid r*ddit lol) but i think in these cases it’s mostly because the framing is so blatant, like (2/3)

like the writers basically have to beat you over the head with the fact that the main character is a horrible person for them to get it. but with characters like dean winchester, elena gilbert, and clarke griffin, the fandom largely sees them as good people, (who may be morally ambiguous sometimes, but only because they CAAARRRE SO MUCHHH) and i think it’s because the narrative framing is different than what it is with a character like walt. that’s not to say that the narrative always (3/?)

frames characters like elena, clarke, dean, ect as good people. i think the narrative sometimes engages in apologism for dean/elena/clarke, and sometimes it acknowledges how terrible they are. i think that for characters like dean/elena/clarke the framing is often much subtler than for characters like walt/don/dexter/tony soprano. i also think sexism/white female fragility plays a role in how fandom perceives elena, clarke, and jessica jones are perceived by fandom (4/?).

This is all true, but I also think there are other factors at play. On is the kind of people these two groups are -I’m less familiar with some of the others mentioned above than I am with The Triumvirate of Doom LOL, but I’d say that (maybe with the exception of Don Draper? I really need to watch Mad Men one day. I remember liking the pilot) they are fundamentally different TYPES of ~bad people. Dean, Elena, and Clarke are empaths, subconcious manipulators; to different degrees of efficiency, and Dean and Clarke use hard power more than Elena, but they’re specifically people who are difficult to parse, and difficult to accuse. They’re the kind of people who trade in social graces and do it well, often coming out of shit smelling like fucking roses. The others are excused by fandom, but Walter White, Tony Soprano and Dexter Morgan’s whole deal is different.

On top of that, there’s a matter of distance. Those you mention are all from mundane worlds, worlds like out, commiting violence in a mundane way. Dean kills monsters, Clarke commits large scale genocide by levers in a distant sci-fi post apocalyptic ‘verse, Elena even has other supernatural beings commiting supernatural violence for her. I know I myself react worse to more “realistic” violence.

And regarding the ‘verses, I think we run into an issue of the perception each of these gets, the depth people are willing to assign to each of them. Nevermind that The Vampire Diaries or Supernatural have been the two most cynically honest shows about the worst of human nature I’ve yet to encounte;, for a lot of people they’re just ~silly genre shows, the first a ~silly girly show, even. The acts committed in those universe is horrifying to the extreme, heightened forms from real-world equivalents, but easy to dismiss for a lot of people because of its source. Which annoys me, ngl, because I don’t think without characters like Elena we’d get some of the female antiheroes we have now, for better or worse; or without shows like Angel for the male ones; Angel was definitely a precursor to the Tony Sopranos of tv, IMO.

There are issues with framing in each of the shows and it matters, but there have also been moments where they have been absolutely ruthless about who Dean, Elena, Clarke, etc. were at their core, and the audience insists on keeping their eyes closed to it anyway. So framing can’t be the only issue.

fandom NEEDS to see white female protagonists as good people. i think this is because of the notion of white female innocence and purity, how white cis women are seen as inherently good and kind, and needing and deserving of protection from white men. of course fandom woobifies the shit out of white male characters too, just look at dean winchester and dean winchester. however i genuinely can’t think of a example of a white female protagonist who was explicitly framed as terrible person, (5/?)

and where most of fandom fully acknowledged her shittyness. the only real example i can think of is dee reynolds, and like that doesn’t really count because iasip is a deliberately absurd bizare sitcom where you really aren’t meant to take the characters actions seriously. the show isn’t grounded in reality and it’s not meant to be. also dee is nothing like elena or clarke, and iasip is nothing like the 100 or tvd so i’m comparing apples to oranges. maybe blair waldorf from gossip girl? i actually think she has a lot in common with elena and clarke, it’s just expressed in different ways. but maybe that’s due to the fact that serena was technically the female protagonist (even if the writers blatantly favored blair), and blair was introduced to the show as an antagonist for serena. although there was a fuck ton of blair apologism in the gossip girl fandom so who knows. (8/?)

i have seen daenerys targaryen referred to as a villain (even before the second last episode), but in her case i actually feel it’s somewhat unfair. i mean obviously burning down kings landing was a villainous act, but on the whole i see her as more of a mix of an anti-hero and an anti-villain. like of course she has done many horrible things, but she isn’t terrible in the same way elena and clarke are, like she is a different type of character than them. i also feel like the got fandom wasn’t as pro daenerys as the tvd fandom and the 100 fandom were of elena and clarke respectively. (maybe because daenerys shared protagonist status with the stark family?). (omg i am so sorry this ask was so long! i seriously thought this was going to be two parts, maybe three tops lol) (11/11)

I’m not too familiar with Blair and only half-familiar with GOT and its fandom, although yes, I would consider them slightly different cases than Clarke or Elena, on first sight.

White female fragility definitely plays an ENOURMOUS part in these characters’ perception. A lot of the Clarke vs. Bellamy discourse was profoundly racist, for example. And do not get me started on Jessica Jones and how the show portrayed, and the fandom received, her dynamics with black men.

Oh Le Paris; un si bel endriot. It was a city that for as long as she could remember, was a place she always wished to travel to. Technically she had, but it was under a set of much more different circumstances. For once Blair was actually HAPPY. And not that fake happiness crap she projected with her “I don’t give a shit” attitude. Granted it was true about 99.9% of the time. She was just very, very good at hiding that other 0.1% from everyone else in the world. Though if anyone every got suspicious or anything, it was just a good thing she had this little mind trick known as compulsion. With a single intense stare from her crystal blue oceans, she could make ANYONE bend the knee to her. Except for other vampires. That was an exception. It didn’t work on ones own kind. But there were other methods of persuasion in the arsenal of Blair Lagosi that could get the job done all the same.

There were VERY few things in life that the immortal found that she couldn’t obtain with trickery - one being Will Herondale. Although she had tricked him in the beginning; but as did he. It was unknown to the both of them that they were something else entirely that wasn’t human. Blair was a vampire who had the ability to turn into a wolf for reasons she still did not understand or know to this day. And Will was a nephilim shadowhunter; part angel and part human. When they had found out what each other were, it was upon that realization WHY Blair’s trickery didn’t work with him. For she had tried to compel him, tried to read his mind and wondered why she was so drawn to his blood. Angel blood was something else. Blair had never tasted angel blood much less believed in angels until Will. Granted the immortal still had NOT tasted a full gulp of his blood, but she had a drop and that alone sent her into a frenzy. The two of them were fighting each other and the hit Blair landed on the shadowhunter was enough to draw his blood on her hand. Just one sweep of her tongue on her finger caused a frenzy. In all honesty, Blair couldn’t remember much of that night after she tasted his blood. All she knew was that he had somehow had her subdued and then he took off until they crossed paths a month later. It was 5 years now and somehow the two of them found something in each other that continued to draw them together. Not that Blair was complaining, not much had changed since five years. Will was still as drop dead handsome and delicious as she remembered. He was still quick witted with an incredibly dirty mind to match her own and would tease her with his words and body. The sex was mind blowing - obviously. It was just a good thing he was part angel in order to keep his stamina with the vampire.

“So what’s the occasion? You failed to mention WHY we needed to get all dressed up like this.”

Blair questioned, once again looking at their rather formal attire before a wicked thought came to mind as she grinned.

“You know I have a thing for you in a suit, Mr. Herondale.”

Nastya and I's sims are married and we live with Sen, my sister, and our third daughter

The first two were adopted while I was in control at the RusAme house (who also have 3 daughters because I had Alfred listen to pop music ONCE)

But I didnt want the first two in my house because there were too many lmao

So I aged them up and moved them out after slaughtering the Putin, Andy, Anjy, and Trina household ((((( (I'm sorry I have your graves)

Anyways

Grimm hates me because my sim is a serial killer and keeps killing people, Nastya just follows me around cheering me on as I kill people and death doesnt even fucking notice her ajajakaka

But our first two children live with the first Grimm, who is lovers with my second daughter, Ivy

Blaire had this guy move in.

They fucked.

My sim visited them and Blaire wouldnt even pay attention to him because she was so busy talking to Richard (the guy)

Well he got her pregnant before they started dating. And then he cheated on her with her sister, Ivy. He proceeded to get her pregnant.

Fast forward a bit, Nastya and I have had our third child. I made her in create a sim and set her as a teenager because I hate children and they exhauste me and I had to deal with 5 toddlers through the game already.

She inherited her evilness from Nastya and is erratic for some reason

Anyways I got a notification saying she and Sen were having their first kiss and before i can click the notification it says they're dating. I switch over to them and the first thing i see is them fucking immediately in my kitchen. Poor Nastya has walked in on this 3 times in a row, and is LIVID because 1 her daughter is having sex in the kitchen, not to mention having sex 2 Sen is a young adult and Pringles is a teenager

My sim walked right past it like 4 times and didnt even notice ajsjajaka

It took me 2 hours to figure out how to have them use the tampons and pads ajsjakakak

Back to the Blaire and Ivy situation.

They both had their kids, Caleb and I forgot the other girls name so let's call her Ivy 2.0

I aged them up to toddlers so I could see what their needs were because it doesnt let you click on babies for some fucking reason lmao

Well Richard fucked Ivy right after, she isnt pregnant but Blaire caught him cheating. He proceeded to ask Ivy out and she said yes, so they're dating now. Blaire is PISSED and hates him now. I still hadn't killed Richard, as that's how I deal with anyone who messes with my children, but I did kill the Grimm that I added to their household at a family gathering because I thought he got Ivy pregnant, the current death beat me up because I keep killing people

I pleaded for Grimm despite just had been beat up and..it worked.

Before that space was cleared, you know how I said Putin watched those three teenagers? Well, I added Matthew to the RusAme household to help Alfred take care of Alaska 1 (Alexis) and Alaska 2 (Nukki) and knew he needed help because he was pregnant again and was a mess anyways

When I got back Matthew was an editor in chief and never helped raise the kids.

I was livid.

He proceeded to date Putin and got pregnant from him. He proceeded to be a hooker, and have Putin be a customer

Ivan saw and was disgusted, but then proceeded to also be a customer and almost got caught by Alexis

Putin saw, and got jealous

He then walked up to Ivan and introduced himself, curtly shaking Ivan's hand.

They all sat at the table. Matthew immediately shot Putin in the head. Ivan runs away into the kitchen with his arms flailing, afraid of Matthew. Matthew acts like nothing happened. Alexis comes to see what's happened, and is shocked. She proceeds to run across the street and slaughter the three teens for me, becoming a serial killer. She runs home after murdering two police officers.

Alfred never finds knows what happened because he was playing video games.

I move Matthew out with some stranger, his roommate becomes one of his customers. I leave him there.

In the voltron household, basically all that happened was Allura getting far in fitness and Keith and Lance date

I havent done anything in Nyo RusAme household, I know I downloaded their house from the gallery as well, but I hate how clustered it is and it makes me not want to be near it ajajakaka but I will definitely go do that later lmao

My BakuDeku household has 1 baby, other than that I hadn't visited it much.

Nastya is pregnant (for the first time technically) with our 4th child.

I'm planning on getting the vampires and dine out at the very least, maybe hanging out depending how much money I get tomorrow ♡

im gonna. go with a group of ocs tied into a story together cause its easier than picking some random ones and also cause i. love this group a whole lot tbh aaaaaAAAAAA

k so theres this group of kids called ‘supernatural nerds’, in a story together titled ‘hunters of fate’, which is basically just a modern supernatural setting with various beings alongside normal humans, like you have demons and witches and people with extraordinary powers and shapeshifters and a vampire. at least in this group so far, theres a whole lot of other beings appearing throughout the story but not really as a regular cast

as for main characters we have ada! shes a witch who owns a little witchy shop in the city, and has her workshop, where she brews her potions and performs other witch things she does, near the outskirts of the city. she also works with a local private detective (and her love interest cause ofc) to help him solve cases related to more supernatural happenings around the city and other places nearby

april is a vampire~ im not 100% sure yet how im gonna exactly fit her into the things, but shes definitely gonna be the spice of the city nightlife, so shes gonna bring up some trouble to the people already having to deal with the rest of the supernatural stuff running about tbh

aurora is a shapeshifter! she can turn into a chipmunk and back to a human at will, and she loves being mischievous and pulling pranks on people a lot tbh. especially since she can get away with it really easily by turning into a chipmunk and just disappearing, and as shes homeless, people dont really know how to locate her very easily

blair is a little of an odd one as im not entirely sure how im going to place him yet either, but he has a superpower of electronic disruption, which allows him to make stuff like machinery and lights go haywire and misfunction at will. which he uses a lot just to cause mayhem and general chaos in public, mostly cause he has a need for attention

blaire is also a witch, def friends with ada, i’d say they work quite a lot together and possibly co-own the witch shop in town too? im not entirely sure as im. also actively trying to sell this girl right now so im trying to not tie her down too much, but if i end up keeping her, that would probably be the plan!

brendan is the previously mentioned local private detective who ada works with, he mostly deals with the realms of the paranormal, in cases that other detectives wont take cause of their nature of being related to something more supernatural that seems to plague the city and its surroundings

brooke is blair’s sister, and a class a hacker. she can basically get into any system, personal or higher grade, if you just give her enough time. mostly she just uses her skill and the things she learns from hacking into people’s stuff, to track down her brother who she lost contact with, but if theres ever a chance to grab a little extra cash on the side selling the info she finds forward or anything like that, shes probably gonna take it. brooke isnt exactly the most morally high character tbh

declan is a soft rich pretty boi, working safely in his father’s company and stuff, tho he does have. a side job as an underground fighter lol. cause he wants to make a name of his own and not just lean on his father’s and whatnot, so he wants to make his own way of things

evan is a young boy, an “adopted” son of hunter. he just pretty much hates everything and everyone and loves to rebel cause “youre not my real dad” and well. hes not wrong (this is a whole big complicated spoiler-y story thing im not gonna get into right here and now but yeah. evan has issues with everything cause people are assholes mmmm)

faine! is a childhood friend of nates! shes an important character tbh, and shes a soft sweetie who will fist fight anyone who talks shit about her friends. shes a babe that loves pink, but also shes. kind of a sad character cause shes way too dedicated to nate and his stuff for her own good, and her backstory includes dead parents so heyyyy

hunter is a demon. and spoilers, responsible for the death of nate’s parents (which was technically ruled just as a car accident but welllllll). really his whole business is to just do demon stuff and make deals with people so he can either get them to do his bidding for him, or so that he can possess them or their souls to get shit he wants done done without having to involve himself in stuff. also yes hes technically evan’s “adoptive dad” cause evan’s parents sold him to hunter for riches

iris! my sweet little witch bean aaaa

kevinnnnnnn, nate’s boyfriend. somewhere down the line in canon, i havent exactly figured out where or when its gonna happen but its somewhere down there lol. i dont. have too much for him yet honestly? highly debating on giving him some sort of a more high profile career like maybe hes. a model or a small time actor or something. something more high key. idk but hes just. yeah he gay thats about it so far lol

narrator is a demon with the ability to see in the future of others. they do a little bit of fortune telling, tho its never straightforward told to people what they see, even if they do see some things in the future happening very clearly. they can only give out cryptic hints, stuff like ‘beware of the red eyes’ or something like that, giving out anything else will have dangerous consequences to the people who’s future he is telling tbh

nate my boi

nicolas is the second shapeshifter of the group! and is friends with aurora cause of that obviously yay ~ another homeless little dumpster diver, pretty much just like aurora, cause they constantly hang together and just enjoy making a mess together. i dont. have too much on him yet or where he fits into the story, but i love him nonetheless aaaaaa hes precious ~

aaaand finally! zakath! the third demon boi of the group! hes tied together with hunter (cough friends with benefits cough), as they work together closely - zakath is referred to as a ‘collector demon’, who takes the tasks of collecting what humans have promised to demons when making deal with them. thats for example how evan was brought into this whole mess, as zakath picked him up from his parents and brought him over to hunter who the humans had made a deal with to give him their first born child for monetary riches. he might have. some ulterior motives with things and hanging out with hunter tho, buuuuut story spoilers yay, so we dont talk about that now

that should be. everyone? this got long hhhhh i just. love my babies so much goshh i really need to write more for this story again at some point soon mmmmm

Hannibal. Fannibals are the best, by 100 miles. I’m sure there’s bad parts of the fandom, I’ve just never yet run across them.

4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms?

As far as the people go? Highlander. There was a lot of overlap, at the time, with The Sentinel, both shows I enjoyed. I just feel like there were a lot of assholes in the Highlander fandom who disliked me and my writing because of the people I was friends with, not because I sucked (and believe me, I did. I have the fic to prove it.)

I don’t really have NoTPs in the fandoms I’ve written in. I have a few NoTPs in general, though, although I’m not listing them here because wow, would I cause some hurt feelings.

8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom?

I saw the gifsets from The Wrath of the Lamb, and I saw the name Hannibal Lecter being bandied about, and I fell in love because I’ve loved Hannibal Lecter ever since Red Dragon. I don’t know how I missed out on hearing about the show when it first came out, but holy hell, am I sorry. I’ve been a Fannibal ever since. It was the same story with Gotham. I’d actively avoided Gotham because of the debacle of Smallville, but it was the Nygmobblepot gifs and Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin that finally drew me in.

9. What are the best things about your current fandom?

Fannibals are fucking awesome, yo. They’re the best thing about the fandom; hell, they *are* the fandom. I love them all, every one. From well-thought out meta to cracked out gifsets to the supportive fanfic community. It’s amazing.

10. Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?

Because I write, I try not to read a lot, because I don’t want to accidentally crib from someone else’s story, or steal someone else’s idea, because I know what it’s like to pour your life into things.

I think I’m probably the only person who actually ships it, but John Winchester/Veronica Mars.

Destiel. I dislike Destiel with a passion. Ditto Barisi. That’s about it.

Ares/Strife. They’re not my favorite by any means, but I still have a huge soft spot for them.

18. What ship have you written the most about?

uh, probably Clark/Lex or Jim/Blair, just due to the length of time I was in both fandoms.

19. Is there a ship which you wished you could get behind, but you just don’t feel them?

Destiel and Barisi. They’re popular ships shipped by some people I really like, but I just can’t get behind them. It’s a knee-jerk thing. I can’t even really voice why I dislike them as much as I do, I just do.

20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?

Nygmobblepot, actually. I didn’t think I was going to like anything in Gotham, much less the Penguin and the Riddler, but damned if I don’t love it so much I’m actually writing about it as we speak.

Author Questions

21. What was the first fanfic you ever wrote?

Detested Sport, it was from a Shakespeare quote, I think, and it was Ares/Strife. I think it’s lost to the world, thank fucking God.

22. Is there anything you regret writing?

Writing? No. Sharing? Yes. It’s called “My Soul’s Imaginary Sight,” and it’s the first time I used an OC, Meravin, who has gone through about a billion evolutions since, and has ended up as a Star Wars OC named Sheridan. I wish I hadn’t shared it, because while it was a definitely needed step in my development as a writer, it’s such a blatant self-insert Mary Sue that I really regret sharing it.

23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.

Shoah. It’s a Sentinel fic, written for one of the “Many Faces Of…” edition of My Mongoose e-zines. I think it was MFO Jim. But it’s an AU set during the Holocaust, in one of the concentration camps. It’s not a particularly cheerful story, and the writing process was terrible. I did so much research trying to make it honest to the experience that I spent whole evenings crying in chat windows with my friends Lisa and Patt, who basically hand-held me through the worst of it. But I’m inordinately fond of it, because of the work that went into it, and of how it came out. It’s not my best writing, by a long shot, but I think it’s probably my most emotional and evocative.

24. What fic do you desperately need to rewrite or edit?

Pretty much everything prior to my Doctor Who fic. I’m very critical of my earlier works.

25. What’s your most popular fanfic?

A recent one, Consortio, an ABO Hannigram sort-of Medieval-ish handwavey AU.

26. How do you come up with your fanfic titles?

Quotations, song lyrics, poetry, Shakespeare, sometimes pulled out of my ass.

27. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries?

SUMMARIES, JESUS CHRIST, SAVE ME FROM SUMMARIES.

28. If someone were to draw a piece of fanart for your story, which story would it be and what would the picture be of?

Dealer’s choice, really. I’d just be thrilled for anybody to pick SOMETHING.

29. Do you have a beta reader? Why/Why not?

I do not, although I fear I need one for Gotham. It’s more a personal choice than anything else. I’ve got a particular style that doesn’t always mesh well with taking concrit, and while my grammar is very… erratic, at times (stuff it, I love my commas as you can tell), I feel like I should be the arbiter of what I create.

30. What inspires you to write?

Practically anything. Songs, less often. TV shows of the source material, obviously. Movies, sometimes. Random quotes, what ifs, conversations with friends, AU lists, prompt lists, sentence starters…

31. What’s the nicest thing someone has ever said about your writing?

It’s from a writer named Mysenia on my fic Consortio: “All the kudos! Just re-read this story, and I loved it every bit as much as I did the first time :D” Because that’s honestly the first time anyone has mentioned re-reading something of mine in the comment, and it made me so happy for DAYS

32. Do you listen to music when you write or does music inspire you? If so, which band or genre of music does it for you?

Actually, it depends on what I’m writing. If I’m working on writing sex, then I need dance music, which I usually abhor. I find the Matrix soundtracks work really well, as do Rammstein albums. If I’m doing emotional/angsty things, then Meat Loaf is my go-to. Otherwise, it’s kind of a mish-mash. My music folders are here, on my Google drive, if anyone is really interested in anything I listen to.

33. Do you write oneshots, multi-chapter fics or huuuuuge epics?

Mostly one-shots, although I’ve been known to do a chaptered fic/series once in a while.

34. What’s the word count on your longest fic?

7,706 on “The Masks We Wear.” I’ve got a series of fics that is 35,498, over about fifteen different stories. Consortio and Kastytis are both chaptered, so they don’t count. Consortio is 23,088 and Kastytis is 24,706

35. Do you write drabbles? If so, what do you normally write them about?

Strictly 100 word pieces? Not any more. I used to write for drabble challenges, but I can never stay within the word limit any more. If you mean 200 words or less drabble-ishes, then yes, I do write those. About a lot of things, really.

36. What’s your favourite genre to write?

I’m kind of fond of first-times, although that’s not a given. I don’t tend to stick to any one given genre.

37. First person or third person - what do you write in and why?

Third, unless it’s some VERY special occasion. First person drives me nuts. I love the Hunger Games books, but seeing things as Katniss gives me hives from time to time.

38. Do you use established canon characters or do you create OCs?

I’ve done both, actually, although 99% of my OC writing stays private. Which is sometimes a pity, because I think I’ve written some pretty good shit with some of my OCs.

39. What is your greatest strength as a writer?

I don’t know that I really have one.

40. What do you struggle the most with in your writing?

Staying in character, finishing what I start.

AO3 and Wonderful World of Make Believe, where I am woefully behind. But AO3, because I enjoy having everything in one place, easy to use dashboard and posting interface, and it’s pre-sorted for me.

Mostly I do, because I know how valuable the reviews are to writers. I try and speak to what I liked best about the story, or how it moved me.

49. Do you care if people comment/reblog your writing? Why/why not?

I don’t want to care, but I do. I want the validation, dammit.

50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?

I eased into it by way of RP. Play by email was my thing, and I loved reading threads strung together, which was basically fanfiction. Then a friend of mine introduced me to Ares/Joxer slash, and I’ve just gone from there. I’ve always written it, as long as I can remember, even though I didn’t know that’s what it was called.

51. Rant or Gush about one thing you love or hate in the world of fanfiction! Go!

The one thing I hate in the world of fanfiction is the kind of elitism that is absolutely bullshit. As a writer, if you don’t write the pairing du jour, or the kind of thing that the fandom at large is clamoring for (RPF, AU, ABO, ten thousand other different things) then you don’t get a bit of recognition no matter how good you are. Hannibal fandom is the first time that I’ve not seen this. This is the only fandom that I know of where an author can write what they want to write and still be recognized for it.
