but lets be real. The bullshit coming out of Uvalde in texas is a horrific nightmare.
Call correspondents with the children, begging for the police to come in. Police at the time hanging outside, because they’ve been told its a barricade and hostage situation. The blatant and prolific miscommunication and dismissal of a armed gunmen with a human killing weapon, was at any point (check notes) nonthreat. Interesting choice of words.
Meanwhile in the call logs, kids and teachers calling and begging for the police to come in. 8 still alive. The kids present with the threat and in the present time, aware of what was going to happen. Trying to get respondents to move on the threat, that cry hitting disorganized ears.
parents trying to break INTO the school to rescue their babies. Some of them getting tazed or peppered to prevent them from going in. One parent succeeding in hauling her kids out, all before the shooter was shot down.
I’ve talked about how fucking stupid texas is in regards to legislation and professionalism, but my god! what a worthless collection of fuck heads. cuckless bunch of big talk, big guns, big hats, big trucks.
Y’ALL BE COMPENSATING FOR YOUR WORTHLESS WEENY DICKS AND MORAL CODE. YOUR BIG MEN ARE VERY BRAVE AGAINST TRANS PEOPLE AND WOMAN WANTING ABORTIONS, BUT WHEN WE GET ONE GUY WITH A GUN YOU TUCK YOUR TAILS AND RUN LIKE THE FLACCID MISTAKES.

After Sandy Hook, Republicans blamed the “mental health” boogeyman and then made it harder for people to get any healthcare and made it even easier for anyone and everyone to get guns.
After Parkland, Republicans blamed the “mental health” boogeyman and then made it harder for people to get any healthcare and made it even easier for anyone and everyone to get guns.
And now, in May of 2022 after the mass school shooting in Uvalde, Republicans are blaming mental health, doing nothing to help people access mental healthcare, and vowing to make it even easier for absolutely anyone and everyone to get guns

The Republican Party is a Death cult, wholly owned by the NRA.

Every weekday I have to drive past the NRA headquarters and usually I just flip them off but today I’m thinking of throwing rocks through the windows because I can’t cry over dead children and teachers anymore

apparently to republicans, life starts at conception, stops when you walk into a school, starts again when you graduate, stops when you get pregnant, and starts again when you give birth

For all you ammosexuals and gravy seals, here's something you can buy instead of an assault rifle - and it's cheaper.

Blood In The Streets
Nine years ago this week a crazy person walked into Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut and shot twenty children and six adults. Just a couple of weeks ago a kid walked into Oxford High School in Michigan and shot a bunch of people, three of whom died. Year in and year out the bloodshed goes on. It gets worse and nothing is ever done. Lots of Thoughts and Prayers, but nothing that will actually accomplish anything. The answers are there, the solutions are not that complex, they just don’t happen. The question is why?
I read a piece from an economist that put it in very interesting terms. He said that America has simply decided that several hundred dead children every year, and several thousand other citizens murdered every year is an acceptable price to pay for free access to guns. America has decided that not being safe to walk the streets, go to a club, or a mall or even a school is an acceptable price for them to pay for guns being freely available. That guns are more valuable to many Americans than the lives of their children, and neighbours.
Tragically, I don’t see it changing in the foreseeable future. It won’t change because most of America has accepted and internalized the slogans and sales pitch of the Pro Murder Industry, the NRA and gun manufacturers. Until that changes, no one will be safe anywhere in the US.
And that is one of the reasons I left.

EXTREMELY scary thought
The Alec Baldwin accident may not have been an accident at all. It is a very real possibility that it was deliberate sabotage.
The attorneys for the productions armorer wouldn’t say that they thought it was sabotage, and wouldn’t name suspects. But they did go on “Today” and repeatedly raised exactly that, and cited disgruntled workers.
If it was politically motivated, because Baldwin is hated by the right wing, that would be terrorism.
Am I wrong?
A deliberate act was always a possibility. It’s actually the simplest explanation. That doesn’t mean it’s true, and as the attorneys they are trying to protect their client but we all know it is a possibility.
