my notes say that I got into a monster house around this point of the game but the wiki says monster houses don't show up until the next chapter :( the hazards of me taking notes after play sessions rather than during

Sunday Spotlight: Numel
Numel is a Water/Fire-type Pokemon. Amphibious in nature, Numel are most often found underwater, but can live comfortably on land as well, as long as they have access to abundant water. Numel move equally slowly in the water and on land, and spend much of the day sleeping.
While underwater, Numel take in water through their mouths, heat it within their bodies, and then discharge it through the opening on their back. This process is reflected through their Storm Drain and Flame Body abilities. The plumes of superheated water are rich in a specific mineral, which tend to attract other aquatic Pokemon. Small communities of various species of aquatic Pokemon have been noted to form around a single Numel or Camerupt.
