And the thing is!!! It's 1000% on Sheba!! There's dozens of reviews online about spoiled food and bug problems!!!! not only do their packages leak but they're hard as hell to open up

pepper is not the issue here because she is a sentient trash compactor but Jo is incredibly fussy and picky and also can't eat chicken/turkey or corn or wheat without getting itchy and having gut issues. but she also doesn't like fish except for salmon. and she doesn't like pate or reheated wet food lol. but she ALSO doesn't like any of the many varieties of allergen conscious cat food I've tried her on!!!!!!! so she may just get to be an itchy girl for a while

[REVIEW] Nutrishe Intensive Bright and Glow Serum 🌿 . Nutrishe is an Indonesian brand that I just discovered. An Indonesian YouTuber recommended this serum to fade dark spots so I decided to give it shot. . First of all, this serum comes in a glass bottle with a dropper. I actually dropped my first bottle and it broke before I got to finish it 😭 So just be careful not to drop it. . The serum is lightweight, has a milky-white colour that absorbs nicely without being too sticky or greasy. It also has a nice scent but doesn't irritate my skin and no drying alcohol detected in the ingredients 👍 . Initially, I only apply this on my dark spots but ended up using it all over my face 😂 . Key Ingredients: 🌼 Alpha Arbutin ~ minimize dark spot, uneven skin, reduce dull skin, brighten 🌼 Brown Seaweed (algae extract) ~ hydration for glowing skin 🌼 Centella Asiatica ~ healing, strengthen skin barrier, acne-fighting, hydrating, soothing . It took me about 1 week to notice my dark spots fading which is actually fast if I were to compare with the other skin lightening products I've tried. Since I started applying it all over my face I did notice my skin became brighter too 😍 . I would say that it does minimise dark spots but it takes time and consistency. I do recommend you to apply it twice a day before moisturizer to speed up the process. It also makes my skin hydrated and glowy. It is also a plus since it never broke me out despite the fragrance. . mochi (green cat) is generally pretty well behaved. she's social, she doesn't bite people and shit like that, she doesn't fuck the furniture up or try to steal food. but she's also a very picky eater, which is just... strange as far as pets are concerned. the only thing she wants to eat is rachael ray nutrish kibble and she'll straight up bully us if she doesn't get it. if we put out wet food for her, she won't touch it, and she'll hang out around our feet and swat at our legs.

at this point i should probably just quit buying it. she can't do a kitty hunger strike forever... but it's hard not to feel guilty about that lol 🙁

December last year. I was there. I've heard that fuckin diagnosis. I prayed nothing worse happen.

We spent Christmas together, I remember baking that gingerbreads. I baked the small ones and I did bake the house at least twice. I didn't thought it was the last time.

I cried on NYE, thinking what happened and what's the future. Cried about myself too.

At the beginning of 2023 the surgery happened, then the chemotherapy had started.

It was alright until the beginning of May.

I blame myself, I focused last month on studying but tried my best to help when I could.

I remember how on Monday I did the impossible. When I saw the results of the exam I bursted out laughing. Because I did way better than I thought. Wish I could say it. I wanted to do so today. But I had no chance.

Today I was home almost alone. I looked and thought it was just a dream. I heard some talking, I thought maybe she's sleeping so hard. Maybe the prescription drugs are the reason (oxycodone to be exact, I know nothing about them). Fuck me, I was sleeping 2 hours more than usual. I feel guilty. It was fuckin cancer but what if I shoved the medicine down her throat? What if I forced her to wake up and have a "nutritious meal" I made (a filler meal that's meant for people who can't eat well to nutrish themselves). Fuck, 2pm and still nothing. I tried what I thought would help and fuck. She's dead. I had one job. To look after her. I was looking. Though nothing serious of it. Fuck me, it's time to go too. I had no chance to say goodbye. I tried to help. I'm guilty. I didn't help enough.

In the morning I was happy. Happy that I'm free, happy to do stuff in the garden. A garden she could see and enjoy as well. Happy for the sun. Now every time I smile, I feel like a traitor. I can't smile thinking what happened.

I wish I had a chance to make a proper goodbye and confess one last time.

Hope I won't wake up or I wake up and it's all a nightmare.

Hello! Sorry if you’ve answered this before! Do you have a starling food mix recipe you’re fond of using? There are so many different ones out there! Having input from someone actively keeping starlings would be super helpful!

I don't think I've posted my recipe before actually. :) My personal recipe comes from a bit of testing to find one that fit the nutritional requirements of my birds, as one of the previous cat food bases ended up nearly giving Ziggy hyperkeratosis. Thankfully I noticed early and made the switch and he is fine now. The food I settled on happens to be in swallowable pieces so I don't have to put them in the food processor, which is a bonus! Please note this is for adult starlings, not juveniles.

My personal adult starling diet recipe:

Dry mix:

- 1 cup Rachel Ray Nutrish for cats chicken and brown rice (note: do not buy the grain free kind)

- 1/4 cup chicken layer crumble

- 1 tbsp whole egg powder

Offer at all times in cage.

Offer separately (daily if possible):

~ 1 tbsp black soldier fly larvae (natural dried + gut loaded) daily, on a terra cotta dish for beak trimming or sprinkled in foraging toy

~ 1 tbsp fruit or unsweetened applesauce (pretty much any fruit, no pits or seeds, also it will get everywhere so be prepared for that)

- Small amount of misc. human foods such as cooked chicken breast, cooked turkey, bread crust, chopped nuts, broccoli florets, leafy greens such as beet tops and celery tops, etc. Generally if it is listed on parrot websites as "safe for birds" it will be safe for starlings, but use your own personal judgement, and don't offer them anything seasoned (especially salted stuff.)

- If you can want to offer live insects for enrichment, feeder crickets or dubia roaches from pet stores are generally safe and good for your bird.
