2006 desert home in Henderson, NV bathed in purple & white lights. 4bds, 4ba, $1.399M.

The front door is reminiscent of a Japanese Soji Screen.

The owner must sell jewelry in this showroom. Looking at the showcases, I'm thinking this would make a nice room for fish tanks.

The jewelry showroom is larger than I thought. It has curtains and doors that open to the living room.

A purple chandelier in the living room. This is nice, it opens to the patio.

I like the tile on the kitchen island.

It matches the backsplash. Why do wealthy people love dead animal skins all over the floors? Aside from that, the kitchen is very large with the work triangle pretty far apart. I'd be tripping over that skin.

The dining room is nice and big. I think that's a modern fireplace on the far wall.

The primary bedroom is large enough for a sitting area.

The en-suite has that nice floating furniture. It's a sizeable space, too.

The soaker tub has a subtle marble pattern, rather than pure white.

It has a nice big en-suite shower. I like the neon mirrors.

Huge closet is the size of a room.

The 2nd bedroom is also large enough to fit a sofa and coffee table.

It has an en-suite shower room with 2 floating sinks.

Here's a 3rd bedroom. They're all big enough for a sofa.

The en-suite for this room is also a shower.

They've got a coffee bar set up on the laundry room counter.

And, this is a nice big pantry.

There is .98 acre of land, but it looks like the only outdoor space they made was A patio with some curtains for the sun, and a small table and chairs out on the sand.

Interestingly, the home has a view.

With high aspirations and raised by a father who worked in the mines, Johnny’s work ethic and passion have created a successful career for him in engineering. He is the lead demolition expert at Ready Relief Mine and maintains safety for all through his work.

What are his qualities?

Johnny described himself as a curious man about the sciences behind explosives- safe yet innovative. He is a social butterfly, a proud man of his upbringing and passions, and someone who loves to explore the great outdoors. While being a flirt through his letters and words, he is actually quite romantic and knows how to write eloquently with small phrases of poetry and romance to express his feelings that would not fit into ordinary words.

He is an adrenaline seeker and loves to test and hone his skills in demolition concoctions, so he wants someone who isn’t opposed to loud booms and science adventures, safely, of course. Despite his fun side, he does have a hard exterior when involving the safety and protection of others, never one to let someone he loves be hurt by man or nature. Biography

John MacTavish, otherwise known as Johnny, was born and raised in Virginia City, Nevada, in 1845. He is the son of a miner and a dressmaker, with three younger siblings. John's father died in an unexpected cave-in when Johnny was just a boy, leaving his mother to raise him on her own with a newborn being the youngest of the family. Despite the hardship of their life, Johnny’s mother instilled a strong work ethic and a passion for engineering in him, despite the cause of the death of his father, which he once cursed for all of their troubles.

As a young man, John became an expert in munitions and served for a time as a military engineer. After his service, he was approached with an offer to move to the new mine in Santa Ysabel, California, where he would be in charge of the mine's demolition work. He developed a reputation as a master of his craft, and his skills were in high demand by mining companies throughout the region.

Johnny's passion for demolition went beyond his professional life; he liked to experiment with explosives in his spare time, testing out new combinations and techniques in the wilderness, far away from the mine's tunnels. He loved the rush of adrenaline that came from handling a dangerous substance, and he took great care to ensure the safety of himself and others during these experiments. When not working or experimenting with explosives, Johnny can often be found in the saloon, sharing a drink with friends and telling stories of his adventures in the mines. His smile and kind, easygoing nature made him well-liked by the other miners, who respected his expertise and his determination to make their workplace a safer place.

Now having moved away from his mother and younger siblings, he misses the chaotic home that he would always come back to, and the sounds of people talking on a night under the sky. He wants someone who will keep his home warm, ready to welcome him back from the mines with a large smile and hug, plus, not minding the dirt and dust that he brings home. He is a very reliable man; often seen as too casual but once someone gets hurt, his fists are quicker than a scorpion’s stinger. As a very romantic man just waiting for the right person, he is ready to create a bond stronger than diamonds.

Lovestruck backgrounds in reality, here are some more Sin w/ Me backgrounds vs the real and/or similar Vegas counterparts. I’ve included the addresses if anyone is curious to visit in the future.

Circus Stage -- Most hotels on the Strip have a stage area set aside for performances and the performers go from hotel to hotel to do shows. My theory is that the troupe has their shows on the MGM Grand/NewYork side of the Strip and Yvette & Co. has shows on the Palazzo/Venetian side of the Strip.

Neon Museum -- The museum isn’t open until after 3/4PM, so these photos of daytime were taken at 4PM. I mentioned in a previous post, nighttime is a lot better to visit.

Venetian Boats -- The background that Lovestruck shows is outdoors, but the actual Venetian boats ride is indoors with artificial sky ceiling. The ride does start from outdoors though.

Falling In Reverse at Zoo Amphitheatre, OKC, 7/18/2023

Falling In Reverse's next Popular MonsTour venue, after festivals RockFest and Upheavals were Little Rock/AR and OKC/OK, on 7/17-18/2023.

Due to the heat in OKC, Ronnie and FIR band dropped their glitter suits for an evening and changed to a much comfortable stage outfit.

They performed the usual setlist. Ronnie was very talkative that evening, lots of videos were made about him joking and interacting with the crowd.

Thanks to the hot weather and the boyish outfit Ronnie could present his latest beautiful leg tattoos live to the audience.

One popular video is when he gives out water to the crowd. There were many people passing out in the audience, the venue was outdoor, the heat over 100°F, the whole show had a kind of camaraderie feeling, people in the need.

Every time I find a hacienda style home, it's always white or off-white and modern. But, haciendas are typically colorful and this one is authentic. Built in 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada, it has 3bds, 2.5ba - $699,990 + $100mo. HOA fee.

WTNV quick rundown - The Novel -

This is the post about random facts we learnt about other (non-protag) citizens of NV! Basic Plot of the Novel is here. Diane, Josh and Jackie random facts here. NV/King City and MITTJ random facts here.

The history of the town of Night Vale is long and complicated, reaching back thousands of years to the earliest indigenous people in the desert. We will cover none of this here. […] It is a friendly desert community, where the sun is hot, the moon is beautiful and mysterious lights past overhead while we all pretend to sleep. Welcome to Night Vale.

Old Woman Josie's house is a 'small tract house whose tract no longer stood' and she makes a moderate income selling items the Erikas have touched. It is a low bungalow, avocado green, with a neat lawn kept well watered in a dry climate 'at the expense of some other place'. The lawn is surrounded by a border of pebbles arranged into geometric patterns (perhaps meant to ward off evil). The fence between the lawn and the car lot is tall and chainlink. She has a metal gate and in her side yard there is an outdoor seating area made of rusted metal. There's rocking chairs with cushions whose fabric has faded nearly all the way white in the sun.

Josie walks with a cane and has long hair but also an 'olympic atheletes body' perched on an old womans' skeleton.

Josie has a cloth-wrapped bundle buried in her garden. She digs it up when she's talking to Jackie. She later reveals it's an idol to old gods she was using as 'lawn decorations' but it was 'too needy'.

Cecil considers it is job to hide dangerous knowledge from NV.

Citizens called Chris Brody and Stuart Robinson are mentioned.

Cecil conducted a 3 hours interview with himself, interrogating himself on his motivations, where he is in life, why he's not in a different place in life, whose fault that is and why he said that one embarassing thing once.

There is a woman called Sheila who sits in the Moonlite and takes notes on people as they enter. She touches a flamingo, causing her to reply her life over and over to the point of touching it, completely aware of the loop and powerless in it. She eventually breaks it by becoming an intern for Cecil, but later dies falling down a pit of the flamigos, splintering herself into many versions of herself even as the primary one hits the bottom and dies.

Laura, the waitress with branches coming out of her, also produces fruit which patrons take off and eat. However, she also bleeds from these branches including when harvested from.

When the Erika's appear and disappear or move there is a flash of blinding bright blackness, a darkness so radient it makes you feel like your heart will break. They also 'don't see gender' so have trouble telling humans gender. They are said to be made of bright black beams of light and when they shrug there is the flutter of hundreds of tiny wings. Where eyes might be on a human there is a shadowy glow that you can taste in the back of your mouth (tastes like strawberry candy covered in mud).

The Glow Cloud (all hail) opens a new roller rink downtown.

Intern Jodi accidentally or on purpose alphabatizes her self as part of the SSP's daily census of every item in NV, leaving most of the stations items un-alphabatised.

The NV PTA threatens to block the doors to the school with literal bodies they own if the school board won't prevent kids learning about dangerous topics like drug use and library science during recess. The school board responds that PTA funds should not be used to purchase so many bodies.

Cecil invites people to drop by his genius boyfriends lab if they want things explained (like clouds, which he explains earlier in the broadcast).

Scientists are 'pack animals' and Carlos is their leader in NV. His lab is on the outskirts of the 'science district' which is pretty rundown because scientists don't like gentrification. Several different kinds of scientist live together which sometimes results in public conflicts but mostly they get along. Carlos lab is clearly labelled with a simple illuminated yellow and black LAB sign and a handwritten 'we are open' sign in the front window.

Carlos describes Cecil as as overenthusiastic, consumed with his work and having very little understanding of science and he loves him a lot. Aside from Cecil and science, Carlos says there's nothing he loves more than helping people. He came to NV for what was supposed to be a short research fellowship with the community college. Scientists Nilanjana and Stan are mentioned.

Carlos says he never missed Cecil's show and that he's not been in NV nearly long enough. He also says it's unscientific for him to talk about his experiences in the otherworld/himself.

Steve Carlsberg is fond of invisible pie.

There is a guard outside of city hall but he's wearing a mask which blocks out all sound and sight.

The mayors receptionist is an elderly man who is nonverbal and communicates via gestures.

Dana openly wishes she weren't mayor and misses her intern days.

Cecil attended Earl's/Tourniquets dinner party and couldn't taste anything for weeks after which is apparently a good thing.

The TV news anchors are insectoid-like humanoid creatures called Tim and Trinh who can talk directly to Diane. There's also somebody called Ben who works at the tv station.

Cecil mentions that interns wear a tunic and have duties which include mimeographs, making coffee and editing his slash fics. He doesn't seem to remember that most of his interns die, insisting that most of them must have gone on to do good things.

According to Carlos, the four steps of scientific method are: find an object you want to know more about, hook that object up to a machine using wires and tubes, write things on a clipboard and then read the results that the machine prints.

Carlos says that the flamingos are not made of materials native to NV because plastic and metal stakes don't grow in the desert.

Carlos is part of Cecil's bowling league team.
