Hejsan everyone!
I have finally managed to set up a new feature in my store: auctions!
I'm excited to try this out and first up is this ceramic egg. It's live now!
GO TO AUCTION
This egg was a bit late to the party, it didn't fit in the first firing, but now it's all done and looking for a new home.
The auction is in my same ol' shop at nymla.se and it will end on Thursday (6PM Swedish time)!
If this works well, I will be hosting auctions every now and then. My regular shop updates will also continue as usual, they will not be replaced by auctions.
Since this is the first time I'm hosting an auction, I will ask for your understanding if you see or experience any bugs or errors. And if you do, or have other questions or feedback, please let me know!
Eyyooo, can you please cool pottery/ ceramic/ clay arts/ embroidery/ needlework pages that you follow :D been trying to find some good ones and figured you would know some, thenk youuu
I can't think of any embroidery or needlework pages I follow, I'm sure there are a few but I wouldn't know what to look for in my huge list of blogs I follow.
but here are some of my favourite tumblr potters, in no particular order:
there are probably more, and if anyone else has potter recommendations, please comment or reblog! I'd love to follow more potters.
and if you want my list of instagram potters, it is much, much longer! I've had a pottery instagram for a few years, I'm still acquainting myself with tumblr potters tbh
I watched the following videos, explaining the folklore surrounding Krampus, as well as other European Christmas related folklore characters.

I took note of some of the things that I found interesting as well as mentions of physical characteristics that could influence the design of Krampus as well as potentially his mechanics in the game.
Some of the most notable characteristics were, that he would carry a basket full of kids, he wore a lot of chains and bells, and his appearance has characteristics similar to goats (although in later incarnations he is portrayed looking more like the devil, probably because of the influence of Christianity)
One thing that I found quite interesting was how Krampus was a pagan god that was co-opted by Christianity, and was even said to work alongside Santa Claws. It made me think of Krampus in two ways, one was the way he is mostly portrayed by Christian tradition, and the other was like a more old and incomprehensible / powerful entity. So I decided that it would be a good idea to have two versions of Krampus.
Having two versions of Krampus, and a transformation in between them could work well as part of the third act as well, as it would increase the tension and stakes very dramatically.
Then, I looked at how other artists had interpreted the character of Krampus and took notes of characteristics that I liked or thought would be interesting to experiment with
I also looked at people's costumes of Krampus for inspiration. Some Alpine regions celebrate a Krampus parade on December 5th, where people goo around the streets dressed up as him. The costumes tend to be handcrafted and very unique and creative, so I had plenty of good reference.

N氓lhus aka needle houses aka needle keepers made with wool fabric, protected by a ceramic case. Stamped patterns with inspiration from plants and nature in general and the geometrical lines somewhat inspired by runes.
