You said you didn't want us to call you "poor girl" but be angry at your death. You fought for the land you loved, while all we could do, Ukrainians by blood, was complaining on tumblr. You said there are things more important than yourself, but have you realised how important YOU were for us? You loved Ukraine, and Ukraine loved you. There are so many people in Ukraine who love you.

You said you have no regrets for your own choice, and I respect that. But I am really sorry for your husband and loved ones. I can only imagine how much he hates the land you gave your life for.

I don't have any tears left in me, but I have the anger. The anger, spreading like a poisonous fog, and the cold hatred to people who killed you. These feelings no longer cloud my mind, but are as clear to me as the fact that the water is wet and the sun is warm.

Oldest child Scotland is so personal to me. He has a little sister who he adores and wants to protect, but inevitably drags into conflict. His youngest brother effectively usurped his place at the family head, which he has complex feelings about. His middle brothers share his position, having tied themselves to the youngest but ultimately resenting the control. They just don’t quite bristle in the same way as him, because as the second and third sons it was their lot anyway. The thing is he still commands this odd sense of authority within the family unit, even if he’s failed at everything society laid at his feet as the eldest. Despite everything, he’s still the rock, and that’s got to count for something.

Alice's personality is tough, steadfast, and sometimes rigid. But her dry exterior is actually a cover for her crazy love of fighting. Besides that, she's secretly mean, often judgmental, nitpicking, and sarcastic.

Alice's mind is complex and overlapping. Even her sisters sometimes don't understand her. Among her acquaintances, only Francis could guess what she was thinking.

Talking about Alice's crazy love of fighting, it's not without reason that Alice is called the Brave Lion. Even in modern times, Alice often goes to boxing without missing a single lesson. Among the sisters, only Alice uses a rifle. Clover (Nyo! Northern Ireland) uses pistols, while the other two sisters do not use modern weapons. When she was young, Alice fought people across the four oceans, and when she was old, she became an office worker running KPIs. Alice has the eyes of a hawk, so she can aim very well. When she was a robber, Alice's eyes were especially sharp. In modern times, she stares at the computer too much, so her eyes are nearsighted = ))))))))))))

In contrast to Clover, who is lucky, Alice is an unlucky person. If she plays dice, she always gets 1. People often say that Clover took all of Alice's luck.

Main colors include green, blue, and red.

howdy! to be honest i'm not hugely into nyo versions but yeah, i can dig it. i guess they'd have a fairly similar dynamic but the marianne that lives in my head is much different in personality than her amab counterpart, like she's a boss ass bitch but fran is just a bitch ass bitch lmao. also i love the idea of alice being a butch domme <3 overall i'm not a big fan of the canon nyo designs for most characters with the exception of nyo america, amelia my beloved <3

uk/nyo!uk; Arthur/Alice, Victorian era-ish.... it's cliche as hell but like Alice being the daughter of some really rich lord and Arthur being... idk... the grandson of said lord's butler who is going to retire and Arthur is going to take his place and he knows it's a very good opportunity (especially since he is very very young for it--like 24ish) and all so he's not going to deliberately fuck it up, but he kinda doesn't want to do it... let Arthur be a little scrappy, a little bit toooo class conscious. His father is a butler in another household so Arthur feels...trapped in the current of fate and kinda doesn't want to spend the rest of his life answering to some rich ponce and his family...

and Alice... style her after Jane Austen or one of her heroines. She's proper when she feels like it--or rather when the rules make sense to her, she holds her tongue only if she has to, but not if she doesn't. She has lots of opinions on basically everything, even on matters with which she might have very little experience, if any. She's quiet and temperate in demeanor, but witty and incisive in substance. She is very caring, but very guarded. She is loved by her family and friends, but they are all certain she will never marry which is just as well because she doesn't want to. She is also twenty-four and her main passions are painting and studying philosophy and as far as she can tell, marriage would severely hinder her ability to do either of those things.

When Arthur first comes to the manor, he and Alice don't get along. Alice thinks Arthur is very impudent, a bit too rough around the edges and Arthur thinks Alice is a hypocrite for expecting him to be proper when she often doesn't act that way herself and he makes the mistake of telling her so.

It's really just an excuse for me to play with bratty princess/service Top kink dynamics, but like >.> also literally XD

I wanted to start making some family trees with a little info about the characters' family backgrounds for my Regency AU! I decided to do the biggest family first: the Kirkland-Donnelly Family! Even if she's deceased during the course of the plot, I wanted to include Lady Kirkland with all of her disaster children and grandchildren, hence why she's wearing clothing more appropriate for the 1780s-1790s.

Lady Igraine Kirkland had two marriages. Her first was to a rare Catholic member of the landed gentry, with whom she had her first three children. Although she was fond of her first husband, the marriage was arranged rather than Igraine's choice. After the death of her first husband, she remarried by choice to a viscount and had two more children. This is why Alasdair, Seán, and Molly aren't titled, but Alwyn and Arthur are. These marriages also led to inheritance issues: Igraine's first husband left her his property in his will because of Alasdair's youth. However, when she married her second husband, it became his property under coverture and therefore became Alwyn and Arthur's inheritance.

After the death of her second husband, Igraine acted as the family matriarch and managed the family's affairs, as although Alwyn inherited his father's entailed property, he was too young to manage it on his own. When she died of smallpox at 41, Alwyn was still only 15 and relied heavily on Alasdair and Seán for help. Although of lower rank, the three Donnellys are still highly respected within the family unit, and Alwyn frequently includes Alasdair and Seán in running their estate and finances. Though her brothers are more concerned with marrying her off, Molly is also trusted as a caretaker to Arthur's children and she instructs them much in the way a governess would.

After the death of his mother, Arthur joined the Navy at 14. He was very successful and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming an admiral. While at sea, he sired four "natural" children who he has claimed and cares for. There's more information about where they came from here. Despite this, Arthur is still highly respected for his military career and his noble rank. The only problem now is that he needs to settle down and have legitimate children, because as estate is entailed, it cannot legally pass to Alfred. If Arthur doesn't have children, it will pass to one of his older siblings and their children- hence why Arthur wants Molly to marry someone (preferably Protestant) of his choosing in the event it should pass to any sons of her's.
