The idea that cupping someone's face makes em go all soft always gets me because like-

Lucifer's eyebrows knitting together briefly when you touch him, though you watch as that always-present tension slowly melts from his expression. All he can do is sigh against you and fix a gentle gaze on you, despite asking what it is you want (like he's annoyed or something lol)

Mammon pausing his usual ramblings about his next big money grab and immediately softening up under your touch. You know he'll deny leaning into your left palm for more of it, so you don't say anything and let him go as far as to grab your wrists; gently, of course. Don't hold anyone else like this, you hear?

Levi's attention being torn away from his PC screen, something he’d normally react angrily and LOUDLY to, but the moment his eyes lock with yours, he's gone rigid from head to toe. His headset slides off and you can feel his skin heat up beneath your palms, while he tries to find something, ANYTHING to look at other than your face. You're too close..!

Satan looking up from the book in his hands, being forced to correct his terrible reading posture if he wants to greet you properly. You notice the way his body relaxes under your touch as if releasing a knot he’d been carrying all day, and his laugh is soft and airy when he asks if you were lonely. Don't worry, he'll happily read to you.

The playful lilt of Asmodeus's "Hm?" when you take his face into your hands, and the way he closes his eyes with no qualms about his unfinished manicure. Your skin is so warm and he can never get enough of it, you know? And the way you always touch him so tenderly makes his heart fuller than he can ever understand. Stay a little longer, please?

Beel's assumption that you've moved to brush stray crumbs from his cheeks, but when your gentle hands have lingered much longer than expected, his cheeks grow a little warmer. That subtle smile spreads itself across his face to melt away at its stoic exterior, and he breathes a soft chuckle through his nose. Funny, he was just about to order takeout, but now he feels like he's had a full course meal. Wonder why.

Belphie still not waking from his nap on the sofa despite your hands against his face. He stirs slightly, but only to turn his face toward your palm. His soft breaths tickle your palm while the smile quirking on his face warms your heart. Was that an "I love you" he just muttered? It's too bad you didn't have your phone on you, but you doubt you'd forget this anyway.

He’s been really antsy since you fell ass first onto Satan.

He’s been really fidgety since the whole hellfire newt syrup incident.

He’s been really shy since Solomon brought you back to the Devildom for undisclosed reasons.

He’s been really docile since your return.

And for the LIFE of you, you can’t figure out why.

You tried interrogating the others, hoping to gather any information as to why Mammon was being… well… less of a dick to you in general.

You always had this playful back and forth with the second born that you had come to love. But, with his usual bite gone, you began to worry something was just wrong.

“Hun, you always make him all fidgety. And sweaty. It’s really gross”, Asmo says, scrunching up his face in disgust.

You huff, rolling over on his bed to face him. “I’m aware. But this is worse than usual. It’s like he’s scared of me all of a sudden. Like he’s avoiding me.”

“We’ll, Id say he’d be an idiot to ignore the likes of you, but he’s also, quite frankly, always an idiot.”

“Azzy”, you deadpan, sending him a pointed look. He throws his hands up in defeat.

“Okay, okay! I get it. You see something in my poor, stupid older brother. And while I can’t fathom what that is, I know he sees something in you too. We all do, but he definitely wants to fuck you.”

“Asmo! Not helping!”

The avatar of lust continues staring at his nails, fussing with a bottle of polish as he fills in any visible gaps.

“Hmm… have you tried being direct? Sometimes you have to be direct with these men. Ya know, take what you want?”, he glances in your direction, licking his lips.

“I’m just trying to figure out why he’s ignoring me! I’m not trying to get into his pants.”

“A shame, really.”

“Asmo!”

“Here’s an idea! Let’s spy on him!”, he sings, eyes blowing wide with excitement.

“What? No! No, I can’t do that. That’s like, an invasion of privacy!”

“Oh, and you think he hasn’t done the same to you?”

Your face falls a bit as you question him, “…has he?”

Asmo lays a tentative hand on top of your. “Sweetie, we all have.”

“Huh. Like together or?”

“Not important!”, he smiles, “What is important is that we get this show on the road so we can get intel.”

The sickening grin on his face does nothing to settle your nerves.

That’s how you find yourself here, comically shoved up against Asmo as you shared a bench in town square, peering out at the subject of your affection from behind a copy of the latest edition of the RAD newspaper.

“There is absolutely no way he won’t spot us”, you grumble to the strawberry blonde.

“He will if you don’t be quiet! Now watch!”

“What is he doing?”

“It looks like he’s buying something from that stand. ~Oh, could it be?”

You don’t like the glint in Asmo’s voice.

“Could what be?”

“It looks like he did listen to my advice”, he smooths. You can hear the smirk in his voice.

“What advice? Asmo what’s going on? What aren’t you telling me!”, you try to sound urgent, but you have a feeling he won’t tell you either way.

“No need to worry love”, he chirps, “Looks like my dear older brother will be back in your good graces soon enough”. He grabs your wrist, dragging you back towards the house with a force you know you cannot break free from.

“H-Hey!”

“Just trust me on this one hun!”

As night begins to fall, you sit alone in your dorm room nervously biting your thumbnail. You and Asmo’s rendezvous did nothing to quell you worry, and on top of that the fifth eldest was being cryptic as hell since you got back to the house.

A knock on your door pulls you out of your thoughts. “Asmo, I already told you if you’re not going to tell me what he’s doing, leave me alo-”

The words die in your throat as you rip open the door to be met with the piercing eyes of the second born.

“M-Mammon…hey uh, what are you doing-”

Once more you go quiet, eyes flitting down to where he held a large bouquet of yellow roses.

As you return your gaze to his face, you find him beet red, and almost…shaking?

“I uh- I-I, I got these flowers and I just thought you’d want them. N-No reason! I-In fact, they weren’t for you! They were for u-uhhh…little d no. 2! Yeah! But since I can’t find him, you can have ‘em.”

You lean against the door frame, crossing your arms across your chest, smiling up at him.

“Uh huh, little d no. 2, huh? What made you want to buy him a dozen roses?”

“What? Can’t a proud papa bring his son some flowers?”

“Oh, so now you admit he’s your son?”

“I-I didn’t. I mean- Ugh! Here! Just take ‘em!”, he exclaims shoving them into your hands, pushing past you into your room. You swear you hear him mumble “pain in my ass”, to himself. You can’t stop the grin that spreads on your face.

You shut the door, making sure to lock it. Something tells you this isn’t going to be a normal conversation, and the last thing you need is Levi bursting in asking you if you want to watch the latest episode of “Help! My Mystical Girlfriend Turned Into A Cat and Now I Want to Be One Too!”

He sits on the edge of your bed, hands nervously gripping his knees for dear life. His gaze is fixed on a spot on your floor, and you can’t help but tease him.

“My floor that interesting, huh?”

He snaps out of his stupor, turning to look at you. You swear you see him gulp.

“So, what’s up with you? Ever since I came back, I feel like you’ve been distant. I missed you Mams, and now I’m here and you’re avoiding me?”

It takes him a beat, but he squeaks out a small “sorry.”

You hum, a small noise of recognition before scooting a little closer to him on the bed. He visibly tenses.

“Mamm-”

“DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN WE FIRST MET?”, he nervously lets out, cutting you off. He still won’t make eye contact.

“Of course I do. How could I forget!”, you giggle. “It’s the first time someone threatened to eat me if I didn’t give them all my ‘mortal possessions’”.

He seems to loosen up a bit at the joke, rubbing the back of his neck.

“Yeah, I was kinda a dick back then.”

“Oh? Only back then?”

“Watch it!”

You suppress your laughter as he continues.

“At first, I only saw ya as a pain in my ass. AND ya still are. B-But then I got to know ya and we started doin’ everythin’ together and… I dunno”, he trails off.

“You don’t know…what?”, you question.

He runs a hand over the half of his face not cover by his glasses. His eyes close as he takes a deep breath.

He turns his position to better face you, eyes now looking directly into yours.

“I guess…I dunno when you became so important to me.”

“Oh.”

You’re both quiet for a moment.

“Asmo told me I should tell ya, but I’m no good at this stuff,” he gives a small forced chuckle. “And I probably wouldn’t have realized, but yer leavin’ back to the human realm…I think you took a part of me with ya.”

“Oh.”

“An essentially I guess I’m tryin to say…dammit..I’m tryin to say… GIVE IT BACK, OKAY?!”

Your eyes widen in surprise at his sudden raise in voice. “And how do I go about doing that, Mammon?”

He seems to pick up a bit of his usually bravado, finally getting out with it. “Well, obviously if ya take something from the Avatar of Greed, ya gotta pay it back, with interest.”

You smirk, leaning into his personal space, bringing your face closer to his, eyes glancing down to his lips.

“Oh yeah? Can I sign up for your payment plan?”, you mumble, trying to express your need with your movements.

He almost shoots backwards before catching himself, composing his nerves and moving his eyes to your own lips. “I dunno, ya could be payin’ it back yer whole life. Might still not be off the hook after that.”

“Mmm, I better get started then”, you whisper, leaning in to close the gap between the two of you.

He tastes sweeter than you ever imagined, lips slowly molding to your own as you feel goosebumps beginning to form. One of his hands wraps around you, tentatively holding you closer to him, not letting you go, never letting you go.

You lean back after a beat to get some much needed air in your lungs. He shakily breathes out, eyes closed like he still can’t believe what just happened.

You smirk at him as you reach a hand up to his cheek, thumb running gently back and forth.

“Will this destroy my credit, golden boy?”

He opens his eyes, gaze much more intense now as he looks toward you, something unreadable in his eyes.

“No. But… we might just destroy this bed frame”, he grins wolfishly as he pulls you down.

Huh. What do you know? Asmo was right about something.

Calling Them Nicknames They Hate

All the Brothers x Reader

Warnings: language

Summary: The 7 brothers react to you calling them rude nicknames that annoy them.

Lucifer

“Mom”

You started calling Lucifer “mom” one day and he honestly takes it better than some of the other brothers take their nicknames. He understands that unfortunately, he has to be like a mom or otherwise the House of Lamentation will fall into chaos.

His reaction to the name: “Ugh, MC please stop calling me that.”

Mammon

“Scumbag”

Similarly to his brothers, you started calling Mammon this due to his tendency to lie and be dishonest about his schemes. He does NOT take this well as not only does it hurt his ego, but he never expected his human to call him mean names too!

His reaction: *whines* “MC not you too!”

Leviathan

“Mega-Virgin”

Once you got to know Levi you realized how much of a loser he is. (I’m jk I love Levi.) You started calling him this and it struck deep. He insults himself all the time but when it comes from you? It hurts. Bad. This is why he likes 2D girls better.

His reaction: *sighs* “I know… I’m such a loser yucky otaku..”

Satan

“Nerd”

You cannot tell me that Satan is not a mega nerd. He finds reading books fun AND is smart. You started calling Satan this one day and he got offended. Isn’t that what Levi is?? He isn’t like Levi! He always thought of himself as the non-weird one among the brothers. But in a way, he secretly kind of likes the degrading nickname.

His reaction: *blushes* “Don’t you ever dare call me that in front of the other brothers.”

Asmodeous

“Slut?” “Whore?”

I can’t think of ANYTHING that this man wouldn’t take as a COMPLIMENT. There’s no insult that is both accurate and would be offensive to Asmo. He’d just end up getting his ego boosted by you trying to insult him.

His reaction: *flips hair and starts sparkling* “I know, darling. I’m so ✨fabulous✨!”

Beelzebub

No. I refuse. There’s no way I can insult sweet Beel without feeling the wrath of a thousand gods (or demons) fall upon me. (In other words, I’d just feel really guilty.) Similarly to Asmo, I think he would take some insults as a compliment too since he’s too innocent to understand.

His reaction: “Thanks! ☺️”

Belphegor

“Emo”

Ever since Belphie started complaining about how “hard” life was being locked up in an attic you knew he was emo. But for real this guy probably listens to MCR when nobody’s looking. He hates the nickname just like how he hates most things (because he’s emo.)

His Reaction: “STOP MC. I am NOT emo!” *proceeds to be emo*

On a scale from 1 to 100%, how difficult is it to wake them up ?

Brother's book.

Depends, but most of the times it's 1% since he's a light sleeper, he has to, so his brothers wouldn't burn the house down with any of their antics or so...

Depends on the long working nights he pulls out for Diavolo's paperwork pushed on him. In this occasions he may become a 10% difficult to wake up.

His reaction may vary, since he's the one supposed to wake you and the rest of the brothers up, he'd be at first embarrased and surprised.

Still, when he recognizes you, he relaxes for a brief moment and mutters a sleepy " Thank you MC ".

May be different from time to time.

The morning next to a horror special sleepover may lead to the both of your getting scared, so it's then a 3% difficult fully wake him up and a 10000% scary. Why ? Mammon would scream from your light touch on his shoulder to wake him and you'd scream because he did. It would go on like this for at least 2 more times in the same morning.

But when it had been a normal night or a casino one, he'd just whine at your attempts and he may have or have not tried more than once to pull you to bed and sleep again as if you were his sleeping pillow... so does it count as a 90% mostly?

Also depends as you can imagine.

When he, for some reason, does not watch anime or plays videogames 'till the alarm goes off, he may be a 1% difficult to wake. Unlike Mammon, he'd get scared almost everytime. That you wake him. Squeaking a little, he thanks and tells you he'll be ready in a moment.

Although when he does sleep late, you'll find one of two sceneries; the most common of these being him still glued to the screen, headphones on, then you'll just have to take them off and he'll make a little sound surprised but won't budge further. The other one is him being fast asleep on his desk and the computer on, a bit of saliva on the corner of his lips threatening to fall.

Those occasions it is recommendable to poke or shake just a little his shoulder and still you'll get a big reaction from him and that's it.

I think he's kind of a heavy sleeper when he gets through the night reading. Getting so engrossed on the story he even dreams with it and him being an active participant. Then it'd be a 30% difficult to wake him.

Your best shot to get him to open his eyes without being scared to dear life ? Scream from affar something that'd normally pick his interest. Here are some examples : " Oh, Luficer ! Did you just fall for that ? I saw Satan make it ! So his plan finally succeeded ?!". Now that it's a great one but you may have a more difficult time calming him down when you tell him that was a lie.

" Aww a little stray cat ? Sir what can I bring to you ?, oh ? You want Satan to feed you ? But he's asleep—" well he's not anymore and if it's true that a cat it's at the house's door expect to have a happy Satan for the rest of the day.

When he has a good night sleep, it's 1% difficult, normally he wouldn't miss any of their brothers or your shaking on his shoulder so that'd be enough.

To begin with, being the only one who has a more decent and planned sleep schedule, it's impressive how difficult it can be than his brothers. He's a 50% when sleeping 8 hours straight in the comfiest bed of the Devildom. This is because when he sees you, he starts whining and doing grabby hands to go to sleep with you now. Oh, but if it is any of his brothers? " Asmo, you have to wake up, we have school—" " Ok, going... "

But if he had a party night, it's a different story.

If he was not drunk and did a night routine at 5 a.m. to be awake at 6 or 7 a.m. it'd be a 20% difficult to get him, because he'd not be able to sleep quickly. So you'll end up hugging him to recharge him for the day.

If he in fact, came drunk, it's a 60%, you'd find a semi-naked Asmo barely resting on the bed with make up all over the pastel-pink sheets. You better know if he had one of these night because Lucifer will not allow to bring him smelling like Demonus.

He normally has a good sleep because his work outs exhaust him after a big dinner plate he's a sleeping like a baby. For this he's 15% difficult to wake. Light touches do nothing to him so you'd have to fully shake him to stir a reaction from him.

In the nights he has to go for a snack at 3 a.m. it decreases to a 7% because he could not stop thinking about going for another round of food.

When he has a nightmare he's most likely to keep thinking about it for a complete day, so those days you'll find him awake by himself. Ask him why has he been pacing out and looking really down with a snack on your hands.

Ok no, but if he had a nightmare about his family in any way, from them dying, from him being trapped in the attic and fighting with Lucifer through the bars, to the day he killed you... he wouldn't be able to sleep again, so then it'll be a 2% difficult to wake.
