Read the temporarily free pages of the OM! manga and here's my conclusion:

• The way they handled the whole MC appearance/name thing was really good without having to resort to a beloved character, whom everyone has their own impression of, being replaced by some random new character they created

• Zephyr is an amazing temporary name for MC, specially because it was the wind that blew the papers leading to MC's selection. I also like how both this initial incident and the naming are connected to Lucifer alone and I like to think even after they find out MC's name he still occasionally calls them that. (HC that game Lucifer also comes around to calling MC 'Zephyr' because it's such a cool name/nickname)

• Manga Mammon is so much nicer to MC than game Mammon!??? Game Mammon & MC were at each other's throats (however briefly) at the beginning (which to be fair, I really loved) while Manga Mammon is already extremely protective of them, gets genuinely angry when they're in danger and already calls them "my human". Why's this MC even making a pact with him to get him to protect them when he's already doing that and has vowed to do that for the rest of the year???

• Mammon's first instinct is to protect people, even strangers, even if that means he has to sacrifice money to do that. It's when he stops to think about it later that he starts crying about the money. Which.....he's so good????

• Also unbothered King 👑 He treated a bank robber with a genuinely terrifying weapon as a minor inconvenience, told the robber to pay him if he wanted Mammon to cooperate (i love him???), and then just goes about his business

• also i want his gender. The nude aphrodite picture? the maid uniform? the postal delivery crop top? The business man with the slicked back hair? All bangers

• Also whoever's drawing this manga is simping hard for Mammon. There's four? five? bare ass shots within 2 issues for just....no reason? other than to see Mammon's ass?????

• this is just beautiful 'nuff said

Just imagining going to BK with Beelzebub.

You buy him a family bundle of double whoppers. While you're in line he grabs way too many ketchup packets. At the table, you steal several of his best-looking french fries. He doesn't mind and slides you an extra chicken nugget. You put the free paper crown on Beelzebub's head as he inhales one of the burgers in a single bite and call him "my little Burger King."

Propaganda under the cut

Lucifer (Obey Me !)

He's the real ex-angel Lucifer except him and his brothers fell cause God wanted to delete their sister from existence for feeding a human she had fallen in love with angel food to save him. God. Wanted to get rid. Of his sister. For saving a human.

So he did war about it, and lost, and now he's a demon with stress and a homoerotic bond with the Lord of the Devildom and 6 unruly little brothers which are the other avatars of sin.

He's like a middle aged single father and he needs a break I stg. He's getting grey hairs! Some of those are caused by the MC also! Because they're a little shit sometimes! Also he's hot. Wears glasses sometimes. I think they should actually salt and pepper his hair but no one listens to me and my huge brain. Give him wrinkles also. I know hes an ageless being but I want hot middle aged men and not just more twinks.

Sorry that's unrelated op my bad. Anyways his family is chaotic but he still loves them deeply despite it all.

Lucifer (WicDiv)

Luci is the heart of WicDiv. It's a book about her. Or, more accurately, it's a book about her death. She's an irreverant hedonist, a lonely teenager thrust into stardom, and, above all else, the Devil Incarnate.

WicDiv is incredible, a masterpiece of indie comics, and all about 12 teenagers (mostly 18-19yos) who incarnate as gods - they will be loved, they will be hated, within two years they will be dead...and Lucifer is the first to die, though she does it before her time.

SPOILERS, but she gets better, and the ending is incredible - they all announce that they're giving up their godhood to end the cycle / save everything, and Lucifer goes last, and follows the same, "I'm not a god..." format, only to go, "...I've never been a god. I'm Lucifer." And it's iconic. And the scene that follows it up, where "Persephone" goes to rescue her - "there were two girls in hell" ??? incredible.

I might be stupid, I just realised why manga Mammon is nicer to MC pre-pact than game Mammon

Y'know Mammon who baby talks cats and volunteers at a human world dog shelter and coos over panda videos and cries during nature documentaries........

Y'know how in the manga he says he'll protect MC till the end of the year but also says he's not going to find a way to turn them human again....

Man's seeing a cute fluffly lil' sheep when he talks to MC and that's making him nicer and making him actually put effort into protecting MC whereas game Mammon's just dealing with some random full grown human and has no time for it
