Day 2: Knighthood/Raising Padawans Track: 'How Bad We Need Each Other' - Marc Scibilia (Spotify / YouTube)

"I'll grab the bags." "And I will grab the Padawans." "But they're already-" The sound of excited squealing from Aayla and Anakin echoed throughout the halls, Obi-Wan unable to stop his own laughter from joining in and Quinlan smiling broadly at seeing the joy return to his friends face.

Kind of just a fun moment for the group, one of their first missions all together, pretty early on in Anakin's journey to become a Jedi. I have a whole little fic thought up for this that I am so sad I didn't get the chance to write but it is the one I am most tempted to work on and publish later anyhow, because it is just an all around bit of fun for the little family XD

“Obi?” Kit repeated with patience.

“My hyperdrive ring disconnected mid-hyperspace. R4 and I are fine, and the ship is fine. But, the ring’s gone. I’m near Karfeddion, though, so I plan to land and figure something out, likely head to Asmeru. No need for a rescue yet. I merely wanted to call it in per protocol.”

“Karfeddion?” Aayla said with some alarm.

“Yes, according to R4’s scan.”

“My master’s there on a mission. Don’t blow his cover,” she said.

Obi-Wan’s stomach did a little dance at the mention of Quinlan. He wouldn’t be able to see him, of course, he knew that. Maybe he’d catch a glance, but they certainly couldn’t interact. Definitely not with him landing in a Jedi Starfighter.

“I won’t. But that’s helpful information to know, so thank you. He never tells me where he goes until after he’s back.”

“Yes, he is rather good at his secrets,” Kit said, mouth quirking into a little smirk. 

Just as Obi-Wan knew Kit’s secrets, the Nautolan knew his as well.

“We’re in the next system over. We can be there in two standard days. No need to go to Asmeru, plus we can recover your ship for inspection,” Aayla said, very matter-of-fact.

“Thank you. I’ll be on the surface. Just call when you exit hyperspace and I’ll meet you. No need to alert the locals to our rendezvous.”

“While you’re down there, try hard not to blow Quinlan’s, uh, cover.” Kit grinned, and Obi-Wan couldn’t help the rushing heat to his face and neck.

He has the support of his family, especially his cousins, but he just wishes he could go home. Eventually, he gets the support of Obi-Wan, who, along with Qui-Gon is assigned as the liaison between the Republic and Kiffu, and then they start dating. This goes on until Quinlan is released from the mission... just in time to join Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan on a mission to Naboo.

Yeah Obi and Quin fucked/dated in the past and still do now don't argue with me *stubborn sobs* they're always besties and are totally comfortable joking about their relationship. I mean...read the comic guys, and the novelization, AND the episode in TCW where they team up. They are just *unintelligent choking noises* They have this somewhat flirty(?) bestie vibe (geez the way they stare at each other HELLO?!) It's just impossible to say they didn't fucked at least several times lol. and YES they are greeeeaaat friends, like the joke and blackmail and fake mock and punch in the shoulder kind of besties who act like they hate each other.

AND there goes Bail. Honestly guys!! Obi despites and hates(jedis don't hate lol sorry) most senators except Padame and Bail.
