You mean to tell me that Grian actually named his bow “his charm and good looks” canonically with his whole entire grick? You mean to tell me he ACTUALLY killed Scar and it showed up in chat as “Goodtimewithscar was killed by Grian using his charm and good looks” ??? Right in front of every other hermit on this good christian minecraft server??????? What in the homosexuality is going on I thought that was a fan edit,,,,,,
the way the got/asoiaf fandom is full of offensive, batshit stupid theories of daenerys or arya turning evil, but people still want to act like sansa is the primary victim of asoiaf fandom misogyny is so fucking disgusting. like it’s incredibly gross and misogynistic to act like one or both of the two main heroines of the series (daenerys and arya) are destined to become a villain and i’m fucking sick of people acting like it isn’t.
People want Sansa to be the main victim of misogyny because that's the only way they can enjoy a female character. If they aren't a perpetual victim then they have no idea what to do with them. They also think that misogyny is only specific to traditionally "feminine" women...at least that's what they say so they don't seem hypocritical when contributing to the misogynistic hate that Arya and Dany get. Fandom loves theorizing that Dany and Arya are "too far gone", that they have no chance of having a happy ending, all they can do is fight for everyone else and die, etc. People are too busy either downplaying their trauma or using it to justify their dark turns, so they rarely get any sympathy for what they've been through. It's so blatant and misogynistic how the two key female characters are reduced to nothing and demonized. In fandom's eyes though, even from the so-called feminists, they deserve it for not suffering quietly and prettily enough.
There's also the jealousy, of course, because some people can't imagine their faves getting the ending they want with Arya and Dany in the picture. Their relevance to the plot makes them bigger targets. They're the Key ASOIAF girls for a reason, proven by the fact that people have to completely rewrite the story and erase them to have their crackpot theories make even a little sense. It's so frustrating that the hate they constantly get is never perceived as misogyny because they aren't seen as "feminine" enough.
a couple bonus doodles of monty - namely, the late night talkshow he hosts and an attempt to estimate his height
not 100% accurate, but he’s the smallest out of all the cog bosses- of course, that means he’s still WAY taller than basically every other cog. but not quite as towering as, say, the CEO or CFO are
dont remember if I brought it up in my other post, but cathal is actually monty’s godchild. he’s close enough friends with the VP that cathal basically considers him an uncle, despite not being family. he feels a decent amount of paternal fondness for the guy.
(also shown is my toonsona, mostly so I had an Average Toon Height Comparison here... baal is just a little guy)
i honestly find the “oil and water” line from vi to be considerably less tragic and more embarrassingly cheesy but i genuinely mean that as a compliment
in a lot of ways vi and cait strike me as not so much “oh it was true love at first sight <3″ and more “these are two largely isolated lesbians who are having their moment of Thats The First Other Gay Lady I’ve Been In Proximity With And Shes So Hot Oh My God crush”
which is not belittling or insulting their relationship
more that they’ve convinced themselves that theyre super duper for reals in serious loves no really even though theyve known eachother for like, a week
vi especially is without a doubt Extremely starved for human contact, shes been through a lot she just desperately needs someone, anyone, to be kind to her
the “oil and water” line is so. baby lesbian heartbroken that it wont work out and shes having a drama about it, its raining, etc
Jonsasha is always delicious to me but there’s something special about a roleswap au that calls to me, y’know?
Like. Just their season four dynamic?? I stand firm in my belief that if the Eye didn’t take Jon then he’d be ripe for the Lonely. But even then I don’t think he would forget the appeal of Beholding. Would he understand her need to feed? Would she have told him about her hunger back before the Unknowing, when it looked like they would both sink into the Eye together?
Maybe I’ll come back to this later because right now I’m too tired to be coherent but I was just. gripped. by the idea of Jon getting the statement about Sasha feeding on others and covering it up. Because she’s good, and she needs this, and he loves her. Does he somehow send the statement to her? Hide it? Destroy it? I don’t even know but I’m just so caught up in the idea of it. Solidarity between the only two people in the Archives who truly feel the call of Beholding. A devotion that Sasha may never know about. An understanding Jon feels too strongly. I don’t know if amy of this even makes sense I’m just gone on the pining…
