OC fact swap for you! While Kyvir obviously doesn't worship any gods other than Bhaal, he has a deep-seated respect for Bane that probably would have been worship if he had... y'know, religious freedom.
cdd i love how in each other's heads we are because serenity would also be a banite in another life. no wonder bhaal's so mad. no wonder orin's so mad.

Sylas tends to only refer to people by nicknames. pre-tadpole this was a habit to depersonalize people just as he depersonalized himself (makes indescriminite murder easier when you dont consider them to be people). post-tadpole it's simply a quirky habit he doesn't remember the origin of that is more fun spirited.
(and yes i have a whole list of nicknames and reasoning per companion and npc)
x - @zoneofsmites
Ough, depersonalizing people to make it easier to kill them...
Kyvir hates it when people shorten his name. Pet names are fine, nicknames that aren't a shortened version of his name are fine, but he can't stand people shortening his name. Not even Gortash could get away with it, and he's the one who gave Kyvir his name in the first place. One of their associates called him "Ky" exactly once, disappeared that night, and was found brutally murdered three days later. He's significantly calmer about it post-amnesia but he still really hates it, even if he doesn't remember why. This definitely does not say anything about how important the name Gortash chose is to him, shut up.

It’s been a while so you probably forgot about it but this is for the OC fact swap. I’ll go with Ángel because I know he’s your favourite among my OCs
He “inherited” his love for theater/acting from his paternal grandfather who used to be an actor. In his family it’s common to celebrate birthdays, Christmas, and other holidays with small performances in arrangement of which Ángel always takes one of the most active parts. They either perform Avaloran famous plays or come up with their own stories, make costumes and some simple decorations, build a stage, memorize their lines, and generally have lots of fun together, even if anyone messes up, it’s not a big deal because what can be more fun than improvisation
Now’s your turn 👀
Ááángeeeeel!! Baby boy. I love that for him, makes sense he's so expressive! And he has a family tradition that he partakes in so actively :3
Hdksndksb okay now you've put me in a quite an awkward position. Because I planned to answer this game with the Lachians. But obviously I can't do that now XD
So instead let's go with something about Gabe's extended family. One of Gabe's cousins is called Elena, right? And yes, after the princess Elena. Despite that, she's... not really a fan of Elena herself. Her mother was very patriotic (hence her name), but she died around a year before Elena came back and she holds this kind of childish grudge against Elena that she was too late. That her mother never got to see Avalor reborn in the way she always dreamed about. There's also the fact that Elena works in a company that handles fabric trade with Paraíso and after Elena opened the borders there was a risk of her losing her job. She generally was pretty wary of princess Elena for the first years of her reign, even though Gabe knows her personally and assured her countless times that she's a great person, Elena wasn't really delighted with her as a ruler. It's not that she liked Shuriki, but that was the order she was used to and she doesn't really like change, not to mention that a lot of weird things started happening in Avalor after Elena took over, so it took her some time to get used to stuff like magic, music, new festivals, some new laws and a whole new presence of the ruler (since Elena's ruling style was much different from Shuriki's), but by the time she got to meet her personally, she got over most of this stuff. That's when it turned out they have ABSOLUTELY not compatible characters and queen Elena's visit was a challenge for both of them. At the end of the day she's mostly neutral towards her, but with a more negative edge.

[holds out my little baby half-angel] Mellis is, amusingly, the inverse of Horatio as she is a girl being raised by priests (although that denomination is closer to how the welsh/irish used to do it, where being mixed-gender is not a big deal as long as everyone behaves and there's no canoodling, so she COULD be a priest if she wanted. just has to turn 18 first.).
[A sweet lass! Is becoming a priest something she's interested in? Or is she perhaps a little more adventurous? Then again, knowing how the Priests of Rathma and the paladins roll, she could also be an adventurous priest.]
Once Mahda Linarian was no longer in the picture, Jem and Era were partially raised by the community. They still had Bul'Kathos around, and he did his best to make time for them, but between his duties as King, trying to keep the tribes united, training Burra to be Queen, and dealing with his grief, Bul didn't have much left to give.
Communal parenting wasn't anything new to the barbarians, but not having their parents around was terribly new for Era and Jem. Era did not take to being raised this way, instead leaning hard into a rebellious streak, and Jem started finding more solace in his druidic cousins.

OC fact swap:
- Aly doesn’t have any combat or weapon handling experience but she creates and designs blueprints for weapon upgrades, specially semiautomatic rifles.
Can I have a fact about Antonia? 👀
Omg THATS SO COOL!! IVE NEVER SEEN AN OC WITH THAT ABILITY!
Antonia applied to the Air Forces at 18 to prove her worth to herself and actually got rejected the first time she applied because she wasn't at the physical requirement to join them.
So she started to train and since she's kind of a glutton for punishment, she train day and night no matter how exhausted she was.
Now her endurance and skills are up there with the others!

Ohh OC Fact Swap! I have a new OC (again) Her name is Talaina, and she comes from a poor background, fought herself up to the ranks of the highest female warriors of her country and became one of the prince's bodyguards only to be deemed a monster and evil witch after she saved everyone's asses but to a high price and showing what power her magic wields.
I love her and want to protect her.
I also have a new character. Her name is Collette, and when she was a kid she went to Faerie as a Chosen One. While she was there she developed a fearsome reputation, even earning the nicknames Pretty Dragon and Blood Honey. She was so good at fighting she even outclassed the fae.
…and then after 20 years she was unceremoniously sent back home (and returned to being a kid again) because she made ONE mistake. And after all the years of growing up again, she can’t work out what her mistake was. And this was where the story begins

Vic basically grew up in space. He doesn't like animals, plants or "nature" in general. The worst thing in his eyes are desert planets. You know what they say about sand...
I think all of my characters have a distaste for Tatooine. And yet the universe seems to revolve around that planet...
Eva likes weather -- not nature so much. Precipitation is interesting; changing temperatures are not, nor are bugs, dust, humidity... She's probably spent the least amount of time on a planet out of my OCs. She (and her mother Athene) actually has spacer glow -- a combination of cosmic radiation, iodine meds, and vitamins that substitute for sun exposure. It's part of the reason why she appears pale; when she spends a few months on Rishi and Yavin, Eva looks less 'ethereal' than when she landed. Eva prefers droids to animals. Unless it's a cat.
Fria as a Jedi consular has been the most terrestrial. She's most nature-inclined and embracing of the way things are...she's also the least irritable of the bunch. Fria has the whole Snow White 'animals come out of the woods to greet her' type vibes going on.
Gronn lives in a tin can. Unless he is on a ship, life sucks a little. The smallest living thing he likes is Blizz. He loves Blizz like a witch loves their familiar.

Sothy once drunkenly suggested to forego a normal wedding ring for a wedding earring. May Van Noy, equally drunk, thought this was a great idea. Anyway, for some reason they have matching earrings now
When Ava gets drunk she assumes she is the best singer around, she also forgets that Halcyon's only source of music are jingles and will go into rousing renditions of Earth songs that last for 4 minutes, all sung out of tune and with slurred words. Needless to say, one of Felix's favorite pasttimes is getting into drinking competitions with Ava so that she annoys Max with her singing all night

Hati has somewhat of disdain for werewolves, as she considers them "cheap, mass-produced knock-offs" of true mythical wolves like her and her family.
Oooooh. Is the feeling mutual? >:D
Drev, my mercenary loser boy from Broken Mirrors, has some disdain mixed with fear for magic users, as he comes from a kingdom where magic has been banned for centuries (and returning recently, with very... bizarre results) AND from a race that has never had any magical inclinations and prides themselves on it.
Unfortunately for him, during his recent adventures, not only has he learnt that the lack of magical inclinations is bullshit, but he's also begun falling in love with an actual real witch. Who can turn people into stone. Woe is him.

Maverick never knew he had a half brother until he was in his 30s. He was visiting Blackwater when he started to hear about a bounty for an "Arthur Morgan". He recognised the last name of his late father, Lyle Morgan, and through some digging and bugging Trelawny about it, he found out the truth!
After a rough start, Arthur and Mav actually do become close brothers!
That’s super cool!! And I’m really happy for both of them.
I don’t have much for red dead Cooper yet or any other red dead oc.
But regular Cooper has 2 younger brothers and either 2 or 3 younger sisters (I haven’t really decided). He hasn’t seen any of them in about 11 years ever since his parents kicked him out.

For the oc fact swap, Vesper (my durge) picked up the prayer for Forgiveness when they found it in the mindflayer colony and it hasn't left their inventory since
god theyre just carrying it around. you have to tell me more about this, this could have so many angles. is it as proof that they weren't even a perfect follower of bhaal even before they lost their memories? or a grave reminder of what they were willing to do? ough.
ill go durge for durge and trade a serenity fact: even from the first night post-amnesia, he kneels to pray before going to bed. he can't remember who it's to, but he never skips it.

Oc swap fact - Vireo Ryder tells everyone she didn’t bring anything from the milky way, but she did, a prothean artifact that her team gave her as a good luck present when she had to leave, it was the first artifact they found when she joined them, Jaal is the only person she ever shows it to
Aww I love that! That's really cool! Jaal must be a special person to get to know about it too. (Also, Vireo is such a cool name!)
Dove likes to collect a lot of things, but one of the things that she treasures a lot are some of her wrinkled, folded up photo booth photos she and her older brother took when they went to Fiesta Texas (an amusement park in TX) when they were younger. It was one of her favorite memories and she always keeps those photos with her (or in her journal/scrapbook.)

FACT SWAP!: 60s Will saw the horror movie "Gruesome Twosome" at a drive-in theater with friends during the summer of 1967. It freaked her out for weeks afterwards! That was nothing compared to what happened when she saw Fantasia at age five 😂. Something about the loud music and chaotic visuals really threw her for a loop, and she had to (get Rowan to) check her closet for the wizard, Mickey, and his brooms every night for months, just in case.
I think you know just about everything about Rowan, so I'm going to give you something about Willow.
You probably already know, Willow is terrified of thunderstorms (they're too much like a bomb attack). He also has problems with agoraphobia, though not nearly as bad as when he first got out of the Vault. He doesn't realize it, but he literally can't judge distance past a certain point. It's all "there" like the background of a game or a picture. He can't tell if that big hill is a half-mile or a mile or five or ten away. The commonly-used-before-the-war "length of two football fields" type of measurement is completely lost on him.
It means he also can't accurately judge how long it should take him to get anywhere, looking on a map. This has caused him some problems.

(OC Fact Swap) Gabriel (This lady from my side blog) is dedicated to bringing free basic education to people in Sanctuary. Recently she has been making some new contacts, maybe a school will grow out of that? most angels consider her crazy for caring that much for those little human beings. But she doesn't care, as long as she is going forward to reach her goal.
That's a very worthwhile cause for her. And seems in line with her history as an angel of Fate. What does she like to teach, history? Language? Maybe a little bit of everything?
In its heyday, Inarius ran several community programs through his Cathedral. Yes, he wanted his mortal flock to love him and never forget that it was he who gave them these things, but still, the Cathedral would run schooling (think catechism), relief programs, orphanages, shelter the homeless and provide meals to the hungry. Any could remain at the Cathedral, but they would be required to partake in some public service.
It may have been serving a less than pure purpose (Inarius's vanity), but the end result was free opportunity for those who otherwise wouldn't have it.

OC fact swap: Tanit has a pet fennec fox she found in a desert a few years ago! He's the cutest pet ever, his name is Zephyr and he's actually a skeletal fox - the very first skeleton she's ever animated ^^v She left him home before setting of on her journey, so her grandpapa has something to remember her by and be proud!
His family kept guard dogs (always spoiled and befriended by him and his siblings), but ever since leaving to lead the merc life - Beleth hasn't kept any pets nor felt that he'd want to. The closest thing to an animal he has around is the spirit taking shape of a mount aka Summon Greater Steed spell. In AUs where the circumstances are different and he leads a calmer life in own home - he has a black cat (with a single white 'glove' on her front paw - for duelling challenges, no doubt), (Miss) Olivia. A dignified and smart kittor lady, very protective and quite similar in disposition to Beleth, in a way except she's smarter.

Dianthe's connection to the fey and the azata via her heritage means she has a natural affinity for plants, and one of her favourite things to do is to garden. She personally helped plant and design the royal palace gardens and can often be found there on sunny days instead of in the throne room if one was to seek an audience with her.
Ooh I love that, also ngl 'garden as audience room' of sorts has impeccable vibes.
Even though Andrali never indulged more deeply to the archon blood in her lineage, it's no surprise to anyone that she's rather strict for a gold dragon, who many (wrongly) believe to be irresponsibly forgiving. While Drezen and the crusade are under her rule, those who have committed crimes against the people of Mendev or the 5th Crusade are often met with patience and understanding, but are still expected to atone for their misdoings to the fullest of justice.
